Love the new open space with a kitchen, but I wasn't a fan of the new drink glass that the purple cactus came in. The glass had an odd shape that was harder to hold, & I almost dropped it more than once. The palmona was in a much better cup. Empanadas were good but the sauce it came with has no flavor & it would be better with a cilantro, garlic sauce. The wings looked like pigeon wings. They did apologize for how small they were and gave 2 extra but they needed double they were so tiny. It would of taken 3-4 wings to equal one from other places like Uptown Wings right down the street. They definitely need a new provider! Thankfully they had good flavor with good blue cheese. I also don't like my card being charged on their screen without seeing a receipt first. I have no clue what I was charged for. We have always loved this place and would come back. I can say the couple beers I had were good quality. However the service from the barkeep could be better. At every brew pub I visit, I always sample beers before I commit to a pint. I wanted to sample 2 beers so I could choose. She informed me the some guy (maybe Tyler?) only allows one sample per customer. I asked are you serious? She confirmed. I've been to a lot of brew pubs and have never had that happen. Never. If they're going to be that cheap to not allow a customer to try before a buy, then I'm not interested. So they got $7 out of me instead of $40 or $50. Great business decision guys! It is in a very nice area and I will visit again and probably will have a beer, but if I only get one sample next time it will be my last visit. There is a bar literally next door to it. read more

To be honest with you the beer here is ok or average. In other words it's not bad but that's my opinion. The service is awesome and the location is pretty cool. The funny thing about beer is everybody taste is different and I didn't vibe with this place. I'm use to high gravity beers and they don't make that here. You can find Indio Brewing Co. at 5019 W Broad St NE Ste M145, Sugar Hill, GA 30518 on the main drag by what looks like local city government. Parking is in a shared lot or in a basement parking deck if you prefer. You walk from the lot or across a bridge to the building, which has multiple businesses and you'll initially see a Tavern - if you walk around the patio you'll eventually see the door for Indio Brewing Co. I attended Indio Brewing on it's grand opening Saturday 2019.07.21 with Michelle T. and am writing this review the Sunday following. The place is pretty small with a bar that extends from the entry to the back until it hits the brights - seems to be a 5-7 barrel system. There's seating on the right and appears to handle about 25 or so people comfortably with all kinds of space outside on the patio - entering the place was pretty full. On this day it was fairly hot and I was confronted by a menu with 7 beer option and 3 new tapped options to be made available at intervals during the day. We each got a 3/4 pour (the options was 3/4 or full pint pour) and headed outside looking for a shady spot. The patio is fantastic with views of the water feature down below and a pretty amazing amphitheater - kudos to the City of Sugar Hill for providing such a beautiful space. For this initial visit we tried four beers: * Sunrise Mango and Guava Sour - had a touch of salt so I suspect this is a fruited gose. Very easy drinking for a sour - in the Berliner or gose range with good balance of sugars to bitterness (hardly none). Dry body and finish. * Tropical Thunder American IPA - Hazy with tropical notes mostly citrus, mango and guava - still a bit green with the typical throat burn, dry body and finish. * Indio Sweet City New England IPA - Very solid NEIPA with great tropical notes, mostly citrus and juicy body. Dry slightly hoppy finish. This ended up being my favorite of the 4. * Sour Patch Fruited Sour - Easy drinking sour, warm fruit flavors of pear, apple and citrus, quite good. I also had a chance to speak with the proprietor, Jonathan who was quite excited and eager to speak with us - seems he really likes the Torched Hop concept and eventually wants to do food too as a Brewpub (on this day there was a small Empanada popup Frita Kale-O which will be familiar to many of you who frequent the breweries) so of course we partook of a pair of empanadas too. I thought this was a very find grand opening indeed with friendly service, relatively short lines and a good initial lineup - I'll be coming back and hope for great things from this brewery! And the beers were served in small cups (not pint size) and $7 each, (not because it was high ABV either) which I thought was a bit odd and steep. The area around this brewery is awesome! There is a splash pad for kids and a concert venue. I bet Thai area is so much fun when a band comes to play. We went on just an ordinary weekend. Because of covid we sat outside. The beer we bought were in little plastic cups. Honestly I think we got roped off a little with the amount of beer we got. What a great brewery in a perfect little spot. It's kind of hidden off the road, but worth checking out. Great hangout, with game nights, and other social activities. Their beers are fantastic. We've tried them all, and they're all excellent. If you like Sour beers, the Sour Patch is amazing. They are always brewing something new. I've been here twice already! They have really great tasting beer, and a wide variety to choose from. Sours, coffee stouts, IPAs, all the good stuff! And their beer names are so great as well! This is a great community place. There's always a new beer, and there's always some favorites. They've started selling selling pint cans and plan to start with growlers soon; they're always evolving. Some places I go to only have IPAs and Guiness. Indio keeps an IPA, a Stout or Porter, a sour, and a Pilsner or Lager all on tap simultaneously. And the flavors are all creative but make sense. It's not like tangerine stout or chocolate IPAs or anything. The art in the building is all hand-drawn by the staff (unless I'm mistaken) and is beautiful. They also offer smaller portions for drinking inside as well as one-pint "take-out" cups that you can take outside as you enjoy the new Downtown in Sugar Hill.
