They were all attentive, welcoming, and were very helpful in swiftly clearing out plates, passing out validation stickers, and refilling waters. My company had a whole spead of food, but my favorites were definitely the coconut curry and the blackened chicken. The curry had great flavor, a nice kick of heat to it, and was filled with tender vegetables. The blackened chicken was very tender and also had great flavor! Of everything I ate, the steak chimichurri skewers were one of my least favorites. The meat was not tender, and I found myself gnawing on the meat a bit. The alfredo was also alright. It was pretty plain in flavor, but adding the chicken helped a lot. I got the Eastern Promise (mocktail) and it was decent, just not a mocktail that really stood out in my opinion. It'd be better on a hot day, as it's more refreshing. Before all the craft breweries appeared throughout the Westside and at a time when many of the current guests were just finishing elementary school, there already was Ormsby's, proudly hiding out in the basement of a meatpacking facility. At this point, Ormsby's is on the way to become an Atlanta institution. It's not quite there perhaps, but it has been here long enough to where countless Tinder dates have had the sufficient time to mature to not only regrets, but to marriages and divorces, and then have the same crowds come back here to continue the mingle. While it is certainly more heavily dominated by Georgia Techies, it is more than an average college bar. First of all, there is a sufficient amount of games here to keep folks entertained, with service always being very spot on and attentive. It's just a fun place at the end end of the day and that's hard to argue. It's a place where even the nerdier GA Tech crowd will find themselves comfortable drinking. Robert the bartender over the years has been such a pleasant guy, it is always wonderful to return to see him and grab a cold draft beer. The newly added set of patio tables is amazing, especially for summer evenings under the canopy of some small trees to enjoy the evening. The highlight of Ormsby's beyond the fun atmosphere is unquestionably the beer selection, with an always solid amount of drafts on rotation, with amazing options such as Weihenstephan Hefeweizen, Delirium Tremens, Abbot 12, Allagash White and other spectacular beers. Although I have not had an opportunity to try the food here, Ormsby's always delivered as a beer joint with some fun games. And while I see a few folks complaining about the difficulty of finding the place, that is sort of the idea in a place like Ormsby's that certainly has a bit of a speakeasy beer joint feel to it, so it's not something to complain about. read more

So I thoroughly enjoy the environment. We went ahead and sat at the bar at about 9:30 at night. They had seats for us and it was no problem getting a menu and getting our order taken. The bartender was super friendly and helped us navigate. Unfortunately they didn't have everything on the menu, they only had appetizers and burgers and sandwiches. No entrees unfortunately. But that was not the end of the world! My friend had a Moscow Mule and she said it was great. She's not a heavy drinker so she said it was just right. We split the Brussel sprouts, and they were great. They had a lot of sweet but they had a bit of kick and Tang to them as well. I enjoyed the brussel sprouts more than I enjoyed everything else. The burger was good, but it was a good burger. But not everybody makes a sweet and Savvy brussel sprouts like they did. I would go back for that.. I can definitely appreciate something that was sweet and spicy. The french fries were pretty standard for French fries. Nothing too great or astounding to say about them. The burger came out good, it came out fast. It was super filling, it was not wide, but it was very tall/thick if that makes any sense lol. That burger did not survive at all! I enjoyed it thoroughly. I enjoy the environment there, if you go downstairs you'll find games to play. Not like arcade games, but I mean like physical games like shuffleboard or darts. We had our wedding reception at the Bocce Room at Ormsby's last Friday. It was phenomenal and everyone kept saying how great the food was and complimenting on how attentive the staffs were. The coconut curry and beef filet tips definitely wowed everyone who came to the event. At this point, Ormsbys is an Atlanta institution that has been slinging good food and strong drinks in West Midtown for well over a decade! Situated on the corner in Westside Provisions, Ormsbys is a cool multi level tavern that offers much more than your average eatery or bar around Atlanta! I have been to Ormsbys many times over the years for a multitude of reasons, some of which were simple dinner upstairs, a drink at the bar or I go all in and head downstairs to get my game on with a cocktail or two in hand! As mentioned, Ormsbys is two levels with the main bar and dedicated dining room located on the main level where you enter. There are booths lining the walls and a mix of tables surrounding the staircase railing. The bar has seating as well. If you came for a little more than just dinner and drinks, head downstairs! The vibe totally changes when you hit the last step as you head underground to their game bunker. You can also grab a table down stairs, but there is a lot more activity going on down here. The game bunker consists of a few tables, full bar, full size bocce ball court, arcade games, darts, pool table, backgammon, shuffleboard, jenga and board games! You can still get full service downstairs for both food and drink, but it may take a little longer from a service perspective, so just a heads up. The food is always spot on here as well. The menu isn't large, but it is full of solid choices from appetizers to burgers to tacos. Prices for food are good, as the most expensive thing on the menu is the chicken quarters at $17. A few favorites of ours are... -Beer Dipped German Pretzel - Maple Sriracha Brussel Sprouts - Cilantro Lime Salad with Chicken - Westside Smash Burger My top two from that list would be the Brussels and Smash Burger for sure! As you would expect at a tavern, the drinks are on point here as well. While they certainly have all the liquors you could want along with beer, both on tap and in bottles, they also have a great list of specialty cocktails including daquiris, mules, old fashioned and even some originals such as the Queens Garden, which is my favorite due to the Gin! I will say that the Fresca Del Ray and French 76 are always favorites amongst my friends as well. Currently Orsmbys is closed on Monday and Tuesday. The other days of the week they are open anywhere from 12:00 PM (Saturday) to 4:00 PM (Wed/Thu) and close at either 11:00 PM, 12:00 AM or 2:00 AM. Be careful though, because if you want food you need to be there at least 2.5 hours before scheduled closing time! Also, be mindful that the place does go to 21 and Up at 6:00 PM for the downstairs and 8:00 PM for the upstairs dining room. I will say that it really doesn't matter when you arrive, be prepared for a wait...as Orsmbys has a cult following here in Atlanta, so they stay busy when they are open, especially after 6:00 PM! Parking is neve ran issue. If you are lucky, you could grab a spot on the street, but it is honestly it is easier to get a spot in the parking garage for the complex. I haven't been here in FOREVER but must say that coming back here allowed me to step out my comfort zone and be around people after being in the house for most of COVID. I used to come here a lot pre-COVID days and always had a good time and am happy to say that y past visit was great. Fought a bit of traffic on Howell Mill just trying to get to the parking deck but once I made it to the deck took a nice walk across the street, walked down a few steps, popped my ID out for the bouncer and walked in to a spot full of people just enjoying a Friday night out. The food itself was great. I was in the mood for a great burger which is what brought me here ( full disclosure I've been here several times before for the exact burger ) and it did not disappoint. Smash patties cooked to perfection on an egg bun served with your choice of fries (I of course went with the fries) but there are also healthier options...but go with the fries! Also got the calamari appetizer which also had banana peppers and zucchini fried with it which were also great, nicely fried, not greasy at all and served with marinara sauce. For drinks I got the electric daydream which is a Tito's vodka based drink with lychee soju and passion fruit liqueur, very good if you like sweet drinks. My dinner guest also got a burger and an old fashioned both great. The service was excellent when you consider we were there late in the evening. Our waiter was taking care of the entire upstairs and had a great sense of humor and came by often to see if we needed anything. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I would say I only take away 1 star for the overall experience, overall very much enjoyed myself but my own personal gripe was some of the crowds were a bit too unruly even considering the late night interlock noise.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] But again , late night , young professionals, letting loose and drinking ... loud convos and yelling are bound to happen , not really any fault of the restaurant just my assessment. The food and drinks were decent, especially the chili fries, but [[HIGHLIGHT]]I'd recommend going when it's not too crowded.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The downstairs area was unique, and the servers there were friendly.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The rent-a-cop guy up front had a stick shoved way up his rear end, though it is Atlanta so I wasn't surprised. The ambiance is dim and cozy and could be a nice after work happy hour place to hangout. I had the ribeye steak with fries and my hubby had the Cuban sandwich, collards, and grits. My steak was chewy and kind of hard to swallow but the mushrooms that came with it were very tasty along with the house made steak sauce and well seasoned fries. The Cuban sandwich was delicious " i stole a bite when hubby wasn't looking." The food was served fairly quickly and our server was very pleasant I would definitely recommend this restaurant and will eat and have cocktails here again. read more

Came in yesterday with some friends to get a drink and play some games. We came in around 3 on a Saturday. It wasn't too crowded downstairs (where the games are) but there were two different private events which took up a bit of the space. We grabbed beers since all the games were taken. Darts opened up and we snagged it. This is a super fun place to just come hang out with friends on a weekend! Very chill! read more

The bartender gave me two cranberry juices for the price of one, and that was great! This is a great little bar with games and a pool table, darts, backgammon. Upstairs has a restaurant style eating area, and the bar is downstairs. T I had a good time hanging out with friends there. The environment is relaxed, and the music was my favorite. It wasn't overbearing, but definitely upbeat and happy. Great place to hang out with friends. read more
