My wife ordered the catfish but didn't care for it because the seasoning was extremely salty. She only ate a small portion of it, and when the manager came over, he felt it was necessary to tell her, "You didn't taste the fish." Honestly, I bit my tongue because who are you to tell someone whether they liked something or not? She tasted the fish and it simply wasn't to her liking. As a manager, I don't think arguing with a customer about their personal taste was necessary. Instead, it would have been better to simply acknowledge her feedback and move on. You can't tell someone that they enjoyed something when they're telling you they didn't. Overall, the atmosphere and drinks were good, but the experience with the manager definitely left a bad impression.

Their new location in Dacula is a bit further from home for me, but it is worth the drive - and longer. They have an expanded menu featuring a variety of French classics. They still do offer galette and crepe menu items. This new location also features bar service, and their menu has a short list of specialty cocktails and TGG versions of standard mixes. Amuse Bouche: a fresh watermelon gazpacho (served in a shooter) with a tiny crispy wafer topped with Gruyère and apple preserve. Wild! I ordered the Boeuf Bourguignon. One of our party ordered the Sea Bass and another went light and ordered a selection of appetizers. They reported excellent preparation and flavors. Mine was extremely well prepared, rich and full flavored. The dishes were presented like works of art. It was the luck of the day that beams of setting sunlight shone through the curtains and illuminated our meals just as they were placed on the table. The spiraled lemon on the crab cake caught sun like a stained glass window. The beef arrangement on my side looked like a tiny forest, with tender boulders of mushrooms and meat, fallen trees of carrots, a little shrub of Swiss chard, and a sapling sprig of fresh rosemary. But for real - artistic musings aside, this was some damn good food. I thoroughly enjoyed the main course, and of course, I had to get a crepe for dessert. Tout de Chocolat was such a perfect finish, with freshly toasted almonds and warm buttery caramel to offset wave after wave of chocolate flavors. I always love the atmosphere they create. The owner was in the house and she is always such a delight to encounter. The Galloping Galette should be on your short list for great restaurant experiences in Gwinnett County.

The waitress took care of the drink and I ordered a tequila pineapple juice. Perfect. Shaken not stirred. The amouse bush was delicious and a great start. Waited a long time between courses IMHO. Did get the French onion soup which was actually very good. Just needed a pinch of salt Ordered the scallops and the duck special. Very rich but so flavorful and want you coming back for more. The host said it was to celebrate the spring season since they did a apres ski theme during the winter. So festive. Okay so boom, we came here on a whim since we were going to a concert in the area later that evening. Surprisingly it wasn't busy for a Saturday which I expected it to be. Unfortunately though they had upcoming reservations so we weren't able to sit in the main room. We sat in their second dining room which was off to the side but still decorated. Our service was still good and the waiter was very attentive. For apps, we got the She Crab soup. I would've preferred for the crab meat to be sprinkled on top vs. in the soup but nonetheless it was still delicious. Super fresh!! Omg. I even contemplated on switching my entree to the stuffed grouper to get some more crab meat. I ended up getting the Shrimp scampi which was a great choice. And let me tell you, they did not disappoint with the shrimp. 6 jumbo pieces. Omg. The entree was done pretty well and it was just the right portion size. If we had more time, I would've ordered their toffee bread pudding or the honey crème brulee but that's all the more reason to come back. Oh and order the It was all a dream cocktail. I've been here a few times and honestly, my experiences have been mixed. I've had really good times…read morethen I've had times that made me question. "What kind of establishment is this?" To be honest, it gives me a vibe where it started off strong and then it's kinda starting to get weak and I hate that for them because I could see their potential surpassing A lot of people's experiences. More than one time I've noticed the servers are weird acting. I've had one server purposely tell me I couldn't sit in a section unless I spent a certain amount just to get me in their section (just so that they could get my tip) but then I was allowed to sit in there anyways(had to ask a manager), so it's weird petty stuff that be going on in the background and it's messing everything up for everybody. I had one time where my Friend's sandal broke, and I went to my car to get them some spare shoes to wear in the meantime. Why the person working the door try to act funny about letting me back in the establishment as if I had to pay to go back inside! Tab still open and my stuff still at the table with my friend lol girl move out the way! It made no sense because it was an emergency. I could see that on the regular you can't walk in and out all that OK cool but what is my friend supposed to do walk around with a broken shoe ? I had to ask for a manager to let me in even that time. I shouldn't have to do all that! It's a lot of people that are hired to work here that are acting like they're bigger than the program. I don't like that at all smh a whole lotta egotistical people. I'm not feeling it. I don't even know if the management is aware of how bad some of these workers are making their establishment look to us patrons. I'm willing to give this place another shot if I had a friend that happened to invite me out there but I wouldn't break my neck to return on my own. I'm sorry it's a lot of other establishments in the area that's been there for years with a whole lot less hassle. It also gives me atlanta vibes, but we're in Snellville/Stone Mountain be forreal. Some days they charge to get in and charge to park plus all the little weird stuff and I don't like that sorry.
