White wine flight
Ginny D.

Wish I'd snapped a pic of the inside, as it is lovely. Lots of blue velvet, wood, and dark colors make it a cozy spot to meet up with friends. My friend and I really enjoyed the small cheese board and Italian panini. We each tried the white wine flight. I don't typically like Chardonnay, but really enjoyed it (Raeburn) and also the Pinot Grigio (Mommy's timeout). The bartender was willing to answer any of our questions about the wines. Check their social media accounts for special events. We enjoyed some live music during our visit and some money off for coming during their Wednesday happy hour!

The charcuterie was not worth $40. Took us an hour to get our charcuterie board. I will not go back.

TOASTED CIABATTA BREAD Served with Olive Oil

It has been a while since we visited Cork It and I must say they have lost a notch. While the waiter/ waitress were nice enough, they seemed to be duplicating efforts. Our full order was already taken and another waiter came over to ask for our drink order. Not on the same page. Since neither of them told us their name, I have no names to share. We started with the SALTY NUTS Pistachios, Almonds, Cashews, Hazelnuts a tasty treat. Next, the TOASTED CIABATTA BREAD, the bread tasted and felt like it had been out a while but still ok, then we had the LARGE CHARCUTERIE AND CHEESE Prosciutto, Black Pepper Salami, Capicola, Butterkase, Parmigiano Reggiano, Blue Cheese, Crackers, Hummus, Fig Spread, Olives & Cornichons, Crackers we also added some aged gouda. This dish fell short of what we have been accustomed to getting at Cork it. The meats were chewy and the blue cheese was nearly frozen. Not their finest hour for sure. Last we had the ANTEBELLUM Sticky Toffee Cake this is always and was awesome. While we were there, a person at the next table asked the waiter about their lagers and it was clear the waiter knew very little about the beverages they sell. Hope training is headed their way as a wine and beer bar should have employees that know about beer and wine. We will go back but, at the Gainesville location.

Elan is the best bartender they have. Will be back just to see her! Also, the cheese board was fantastic. 12/10 recommend.

Love the food, service and live music. It's the perfect little spot in Buford to take coworkers after work and relax or for a date night.

Cool spot. Unexpected totally empty at 7:30 on Saturday night. Navigational beacon for craft beer drinkers, bud light $7 here...

“There were out of the devil egg spread for the large charcuterie board but they replaced it with bacon jam and pimento cheese and I was very happy about that offer to make it right.”

Fresh ingredients, imaginative takes, and daily specials to look forward to. And at first I was uncertain about wine on tap, but they have so many brands I drink that I learned to love it. They know their menus and are always on top of everything. Kept us informed of our food arrival and etc.., made fabulous wine recommendations even offering a small taste before we decided. The food was not impressive. While the portions were great for tapas style dining, the taste was just not there. The UWT salad was just ok, the Buffalo Chicken Flatbread was almost uneditable, the Korean Shortribs were not any better. The flatbread was swimming in buffalo sauce and blue cheese. The Korean Short Ribs were literally pot roast with sesame seeds and green onions served a top a serving of dry potatoes. We enjoyed the ambience and the wine but would not go back due to the food. Admittedly we are foodies and this establishment did not meet our expectations. Really not trying to be a negative Nancy but this was not to our liking.

(Which... we did.) Love Potion Latte (Valentine's menu): Absolutely delicious. The strawberry aroma alone could convince someone to fall in love. And served in that giant Rushing Trading mug? A full commitment. Zero regrets. Brown Sugar French Toast: I added strawberries and bacon because I believe in living boldly. It paid off. Perfection. Lumberjack Special: That board comes out looking like it's ready to feed a small village. Not a complaint uttered. Service was great, our server was on it, attentive, and basically read our minds the whole time.

I was eager to return and try the alcoholic drinks, which seem creative. The wait wasn't very long on a Saturday morning. We walked in, gave our name, and waited probably about five minutes to be seated. The staff was very friendly overall. We did have to wait a bit longer for the food to arrive, and drinks also took some time, but once we received everything, it was worth it. The Yosemite biscuit sandwich was good as usual and a good price for a filling meal. The "Christmas Chai" was excellent, it's my exact usual order at Starbucks. Whenever I get a chai with a splash of caramel, it absolutely tastes like Christmas. The cold brew was good. I only had a taste, but it's quality coffee. The only disappointment was the Lumberjack Special, which didn't feel worth the price. The ham was also extremely overcooked to the point where my fiancé hurt his teeth while eating it. Overall, it was a good experience and definitely worth visiting for the breakfast sandwiches, sausage patties, and drinks, whether you want alcoholic beverages, coffee, or more.

My birthday is Christmas week and I typically don't go out as I simply would rather not have to deal with the anticipated crowds. It was indeed crowded (on a Tuesday!) but my experience is one I'll never forget. She had made reservations and so to save a bit of time, we did valet parking. And from the friendliness of the valet, to the near immediate greeting and seating upon arrival, Seasons52 truly made my birthday special. I honestly can't give enough kind words for our server Tori - she was a genuine treat! Professional, attentive, kind ... just a beautiful soul. Please acknowledge Tori for the kind human being that she is and the wonderful service she provides. And my steak - the 8 oz. filet - oh my! Easily one of the best I've ever had! Perfectly cooked and seasoned. I savored every bite! Even the young guy at valet parking (wish I had gotten his name) was attentive and pleasant. I left them both nice, FAT tips with the hope that I made there day just as much as they made mine. They were even intentional about thanking us for our visit as we were leaving. Thank you so much Seasons52 for making my birthday a memorable one!

To their credit, the staff did apologize and replaced the meal, and also offered a Caesar salad. However, the salad itself was not good and didn't really make up for the situation. The replacement entrée was fine--it tasted good--but by that point the experience was already affected. For a place like this, you expect a higher level of quality control and attention to detail. While they did try to fix the issue, finding something like that in your food is hard to overlook. Overall, just not the experience I expected for the price. Only good thing was my server he was excellent, I wish I could have remembered his name.

"There's something magical about rooftops. You feel like you're in 'Mary Poppins."…read moreGeorge Clarke There really is something special about being on a rooftop on a perfect summer evening, and it's great to have it right in downtown Sugar Hill. I would like to say I planned the perfect date, but as some of the best things in life, this was just an impromptu visit to cap off an already great evening. Outside of being on the rooftop, the bar itself is upscale yet approachable, service was fast and friendly. Being a bit of a self engrandized home bartender I'm a bit critical when out of my home lab, but their Smoked Old Fashioned wasn't bad. ("Wasn't bad" really means very good.") While I don't love the prices and hate paying a cover charge, when you throw in live music, a great vibe, and a view, I can't really complain. The owner made an announcement that whoever tipped the band $10 would get a free drink, and since most drinks were over $15 I thought that was cool on many levels. Will definitely be back to The Rooftop!

We walked around and finally ran into a waitress who told us to sit anywhere we wished inside or outside. The only area festive was inside a closed igloo and no heaters were on outdoors which was just a tad too cool for me despite the super nice weather that day. It would have been so to sit outside but without the warmth of the heaters we headed inside. We placed our order and explained we were just there for a pre-dinner drink and wanted to check out the venue so we didn't leave our tab open but we were quickly served the fabulous taking drinks on their menu(s). The Old Fashioned was on the regular menu and the Russian was on their seasonal tabletop menu. Server was very nice and took photos for some ladies we met. The only reason I can't give them a 5 star is they claim they are big on hospitality but yet we were not acknowledged upon arrival. Many restaurants and even some retail stores have a way to ensure they say hello/welcome immediately when you enter and without a hostess - the mindset should be that the bar or wait staff have a way to immediately say hello or welcome so those who have never been feel welcomed as well as those who frequently come. It would be nice to have a more festive decor for the holidays but that didn't affect my review; just a statement to say that the entire Sugar Hill area was pumping and themed with the holiday spirit then we walked in the only area decorated was not even accessible nor was it offered as an option to enjoy.
