I've had one server purposely tell me I couldn't sit in a section unless I spent a certain amount just to get me in their section (just so that they could get my tip) but then I was allowed to sit in there anyways(had to ask a manager), so it's weird petty stuff that be going on in the background and it's messing everything up for everybody. I had one time where my Friend's sandal broke, and I went to my car to get them some spare shoes to wear in the meantime. Why the person working the door try to act funny about letting me back in the establishment as if I had to pay to go back inside! Tab still open and my stuff still at the table with my friend lol girl move out the way! It made no sense because it was an emergency. I could see that on the regular you can't walk in and out all that OK cool but what is my friend supposed to do walk around with a broken shoe ? I had to ask for a manager to let me in even that time. I shouldn't have to do all that! It's a lot of people that are hired to work here that are acting like they're bigger than the program. I don't like that at all smh a whole lotta egotistical people. I'm not feeling it. I don't even know if the management is aware of how bad some of these workers are making their establishment look to us patrons. I'm willing to give this place another shot if I had a friend that happened to invite me out there but I wouldn't break my neck to return on my own. Over several visits, I've noticed that certain security personnel seem to pay an unusual amount of attention to us. At first, I brushed it off. There have been instances where it felt like security was watching us closely and waiting for an opportunity to confront us. I didn't want to assume the worst, but the pattern became difficult to ignore. Last night, things escalated. We were sitting at the bar, ordered food, and took it outside to the patio. Before we went outside, security specifically reminded us to make sure we paid our tab before leaving. We did exactly that and paid our tab before we left the building. As we were walking out, the same security personnel came rushing after us insisting that we needed to pay. We explained that the tab had already been paid, but instead of simply verifying it with the bartender or checking the register, the situation escalated. My friend was physically pushed by security, and what followed became an extremely serious and dangerous confrontation. What bothers me most is that this could have been handled so easily. If there was a question about our tab, simply check the payment. There was absolutely no reason for the situation to become physical. I'm not going to label the experience as racism simply because we felt singled out, nor am I going to make an accusation of homophobia that I can't definitively prove. However, we are two gay Black men, and the repeated scrutiny and aggressive treatment from certain security personnel has made us question whether our presence is genuinely welcome. I want to emphasize that some of the bartenders have always been kind to us, which makes this even more frustrating. My issue is specifically with the way certain security personnel are interacting with customers. Management should seriously review how their security staff are trained to approach and de-escalate situations. Customers should not leave a neighborhood bar feeling watched, targeted, or physically unsafe. I hope management takes this feedback seriously because we genuinely enjoyed coming here before this experience.

I replied and said "yes I'm sitting near the pool tables" and she responded rudely again and said she couldn't take my order and the server sitting in my section would take it. I had told her "okay, well I have been sitting here for a while waiting to be served and I wanted to order a drink" and she responded and said "well we didn't see you over there, go back to your table and I'll get your server" The server named Dom, took my order and I asked him for her name since he either saw/heard what happened. What makes the story worse, is that this bartender (after she yelled at me) went back to the pool tables where we were sitting to take away plates for another table she had already served and they were sitting one table over from us. So she served them (males) and my friend (another male) and felt like she refused to help or serve me. The food and drink prices were pretty reasonable. Food quality is pretty average for bar food. You know how it is. Nothing of the extreme spectrum of gross or amazing, just right in the middle. I have a receipt from three years ago because I wanted to remember certain drinks that was ordered. Well... The Irish car bombs for instance has not increased in price: $7.50. I can't believe some of their prices haven't changed in years. But their drink selection has all sort of types and prices.
