My wife got the prosciutto panini and it came out on the typical gluten free white bread from the store. Also my lunch came with a biscuit and I assumed that it would be gluten free since we asked for both of our lunches to be gluten free. Public House is a staple restaurant in downtown Lilburn! I have not been back to dine in for a few years, but the service was spectacular. My friend and I came in around lunch time on a Monday, little to no crowd. There is a back lot for parking or street parking in front. Our waiter Jessica (Shoutout!!) was so patient and gave 11/10 service. Thank you for the recommendations girl! Met my family for dinner here after driving down from DC. 1910 Public House was nicely decorated for the holidays and was warm and inviting. I was a little late getting there, and they had already ordered drinks and appetizers. We were a party of 11, and what stuck out to me was the service. They were very friendly and constantly checked on us. I ordered the Bourbon Glazed Salmon. It came with okra-tomato-onion saute and corn pudding. My brother got a cup of gumbo, so I included a picture of it too. I didn't get photos of others' meals because I was hungry. The salmon was ok. I was a bit disappointed after tasting, it was bland, and then I realized they left off the bourbon sauce. I informed the server and she came out with a small serving of it. I had high hopes for 1910 Public House, especially after a trusted friend raved about their experience there. Unfortunately, my recent Sunday visit for a takeout order left me thoroughly disappointed, and nearly $50 lighter with very little to show for it. The Food: I ordered two items: the pimento cheese fritters and the shrimp and grits. The pimento cheese fritters were, in a word, average. They looked and tasted like standard fried cheese balls--nothing visually impressive, nothing exciting about the flavor, and at $16 (or $4 a piece), I expected something with a little more creativity or punch especially at entree pricing for an appetizer. It was just pimento cheese, deep fried. That's it. Just as literal as could be. The shrimp and grits was the bigger disappointment. At $26, I expected a hearty, well-portioned dish. What I got was four average-sized shrimp and barely any andouille sausage--and I mean barely. It was just one thin slice of smoked sausage, cut in half, and placed in the entire dish. That was it. The portion felt light the moment I picked up the bag, and once I got to my friend'd and opened it, that feeling was confirmed. I will say, as an avid Yelp user I did my homework before ordering. I looked through photos on their page and noticed that their Shrimp & Grits looked completely different across three separate photos. When I asked the staff about it when I arrived, they mentioned the menu rotates every twelve weeks, which is fine, but the inconsistency made it hard to know what I was actually ordering. Atmosphere: I didn't dine in, but from what I could see, the space seemed nice. It's located in a charming, up-and-coming part of Lilburn, and the staff I interacted with were friendly and pleasant. So there's that. Final Thoughts: This meal was definitely not worth $50. It wasn't worth the drive, and honestly, it wasn't worth the effort. The food was underwhelming, the portions were stingy for the price, and the value just wasn't there. My friend loved the place, so maybe they caught a good day, but based on my experience, I don't know if I'll personally be returning. If I'm being honest, if I wasn't so tired then and it wasn't as far as it was, I would've just driven back, returned the food, and gotten a refund. read more

It's a nice sized beef patty, topped with pimento cheese, bacon jam, and fried pickles. We were warmly greeted by the hostess and they were so accommodating with our party that grew from a party of 6 to a party of 10. Haven't been in years , but a friend wanted to go. The menu was different than on line, guess it had not been updated, so my pasta choice was not to be. Had the burger that was outstanding and cooked to perfection, medium rare. The pickles were great, think they might be homade. The onion rings were OUTSTANDING , but beware,there is a $2 up charge for them. Probably says it in fine print some where, but worth every penny. Some of the best I have ever had. Came here to try out the food for lunch because I see the reviews on google were great, but unfortunately I did not like it much. The fruit cup that came with the kids meal was a nice size and very in season - juicy & delicious :) My son really loved his cheeseburger and ate it all in less than 10 minutes. Fish & chips - had a great crunch to it but extremely bland. I added salt & hotsauce to it as well as tartar sauce but it just lacked so much flavor to the point I got tired of eating it. When you arrive at this little hideaway location you're greeted by friendly staff. The vibes are very cozy a perfect place for date night . I love the curtains that separated the tables it creates a. Layer of intimacy that's really refreshing. We had a reservation for 6pm our waiter Mike was friendly, communicative and helpful. We started with the Pork belly If it were crisped a little bit more it would be perfect especially the fatty parts of the pork belly which is the best part . The flavors were great but it was just tooo gelatinous for us personally. Flavor wise It paired perfectly with the soft jalapeño pudding but sadly it was just too much texture wise. For our mains we ordered the Burger . The flavor is very good but the bun was a tad to thick for the burger to bun ratio . It would have been better if it were smashed just a little bit more . Sadly the the fried pickles taste a bit off not sure if the bread crumbs are also gluten free as I know that thy also offer GF options but they tasted very stiff almost like stale cardboard. The food arrived 7/10 minutes later. Having ordered a large Caesar salad with chicken salad, I was a bit disappointed in the condition of the lettuce. Both women provided excellent service. We arrived one night after Xmas and did not have reservations. Yes, I have been critical before about the menu at 1919 Public House. We have supported this establishment since it opened. I recommend the plant based shrimp dish. The artichoke makes it DELISH. We were the second people in the restaurant for lunch at 11 a.m. Then, my avocado toast showed up prepared incorrectly. I asked for it to be prepared with a soft cooked fried egg the first time and the second time. The first time it had scrambled eggs on it. The second time it had a hard cooked fried egg on it. I have been eating at this restaurant since it first opened. Lately, it's been way off. The Caesar salad dressing is awful, doesn't taste like a Caesar at all. One visit: the fish and chips was over battered and detached from the fish. Another time, the cook on my husband's burger was served wrong twice. The manager never came to the table because we were told he or she was too busy. The next visit I ordered the 1910 burger only to discover they have changed the recipe (leave excellent alone)! The last visit I ordered the carbonara and it was too salty, so I sent it back, and ordered catfish. The catfish looked blackened, the fry on it looked triple cornmealed, so dark. Catfish is usually golden. I can't believe they sent it out like that. The waitress had to notice that I didn't eat it. I didn't want to complain again. If I worked there and saw that a patron didn't indulge, I would have asked and taken it off. I'm done. And I LOVED it there. If there is a new chef, I can understand introducing a new menu or changing things up, but leave the staples alone. read more

Don't support restaurants that impose a mandatory restaurant/service fee (separate from the gratuity). In a world where everyone is fighting inflation, it's disgusting to have to see these made-up tariffs when placing my order. I understand that businesses in a COVID/post-COVID world need some help, but just raise the menu prices if you need to cover increased expenses. I'd usually be more than happy to tip a little when placing a pick-up order because I understand that dealing with customers isn't the easiest job in the world.
