Pesto Chicken Panini Sandwich Hand Cut Sweet Potato Fries

Thank you Stone Mountain for this amazing establishment! I have been here about 10 times and bring all my friends here! They food is GREAT, I typically go for the pesto panini and fries! The service is also pretty quick. The inside sometimes can get pretty crowded as there is not much seating space. Make sure to check their hours to ensure they are open! Good amount of parking and a lot across the street!

We to downtown Stone Mountain to this nice little spot in a house. It was an hour before closing and not many people there. We were seated immediately and waited a little while for the server. Got our drinks and then a flood of people arrived. I got chicken and sweet potato waffle. I also got grits. It was tenders which was fine with me. The food was good overall. Which the grits had a little more cheese in them as it was just a sprinkle on top. My tea was sweet, southern sweet lol. It was a good experience. Love supporting local business. Would be back again to try their dinner menu which is what we initially saw on here.

I visited for lunch on a Sunday. It was a windy chilly autumn day but inside it was cozy! The staff welcomed us immediately and found us a table. The restaurant is in a former house with the dining rooms at the front and kitchen in back. I ordered the Cafe Breakfast which included eggs, bacon or sausage, grits or potato, and a sweet potato biscuit. All was delicious, especially the biscuit. My companion had an omelette with sweet potato soufflé that I was able to taste. I've never eaten a creamy lovely sweet potato soufflé before but I'd certainly have another. It's not a big place and got busy after noon, so reservations are recommended. It's walking distance from other shops and the brewery, and not far at all from Stone Mountain park (about half a mile).

What a gem! We stubbled upon this place while visiting Stone Mountain, I thought it would be your typical southern food restaurant and was pleasantly surprised. Southern food with a healthy twist. Basil lemonade, purple cabbage, cream collard greens, broccoli and potatoes. All with an earthy flavor, I really liked the purple cabbage. I wasn't that big of a fan of the cream collard greens. Service was great and the restaurant was extremely clean. We can not wait to check them out for Brunch.

Great lunch spot! After a day in the Park nearby, this was perfect spot to sit down, enjoy a yummy meal and good southern hospitality! We got the BBQ sandwich and the Turkey burger. The sweet potato fries and their signature dipping sauce was so good too!

Sweet potato waffle with fried chicken that got to-go

Absolutely yummy. This is quickly becoming my go-to spot. I've had their sliders a couple of times. Always cooked to my liking. My most recent meal from there was their sweet potato waffle with fried chicken. Above my expectation. The chicken was fried to perfection and the sweet potato waffle was so good.

I finally tried a Sweet Potatoe cafe after a Stone Mountain hike! Such a beautiful , warm, and homey vibe! You can sense this place is quite popular as the hosts and waiters were busy making sure to attend and meet everyone's needs ! I loved my food as it was tasty! I ordered sliders and my partner ordered an angus burger! Next time I'll be back to try the tempting lemon pound cake!

We wanted a quick bite to eat after we climbed up and down Stone Mountain and this is conveniently located right outside the park. I felt like I was in one of the small towns I would visit as a child in Virginia. The restaurants looks like a converted home with all of the country charm still intact. The waitresses were genuinely so nice. So the food. It's not called Sweet Potato Cafe for no reason. The biscuit was made out of it and the jam. Omggg sooo good and you can tell it's homemade. The catfish was great and my friend ate that backlit sandwich in less than ten minutes. The grits were great and the outstanding costars were the no meat cabbage and creamed collard greens. I am so sad I live 10 hours away in Maryland. Obviously everyone loves this place as it got really crowded on a Sunday after church.

    Pulled Pork Mac and Cheese

Pulled Pork Mac and Cheese, meat was tender, juicy, and flavorful. Mac and Cheese was creamy and seemed fresh as they did take a while to make it which is fine by me so long as it's good and it didn't disappoint for sure! The hash was good overall , fresh and warm but nowhere as good as the pulled pork Mac and cheese but good option for vegetarians! The appetizer , sweet potato fries were crispy, tasty and warm! The place seemed pretty empty to my surprise as it was literally the only place open in the strip. Hope they stay open and get more business!

What a lovely restaurant! The decor is quaint and like home. A gem, for sure. My sister and niece and nephew are vegetarians and we needed someplace that accommodated them and me the omnivore. I had the soup of the day, a corn and shrimp chowder that was delicious. A little spicy but I like that. I also had the pulled pork mac n' cheese. Yummy and different with small diced sweet potatoes and crispy brussel sprouts. My sis had the vegetarian cheese steak and sweet potato fries, which she enjoyed and the kids had the pasta in marinara sauce with garlic bread and the mozarella grilled cheese with fries. No complaints from the kiddies on their meals and you know kids are hard to please! The service was warm and inviting. After an afternoon at Stone Mountain Park, this is exactly what we needed to cap off the day. Give this place a try, you won't regret it!

I'm in this area a few times a month and decided to try to find a local spot to treat myself before I made the drive home. I love anything sweet potato so this seemed like a match. I was greeted immediately and went to the counter to place my order. Of course I wanted to try a slice of sweet potato pie. But they also had a selection of other deserts on the counter that caught my eye. I asked for a recommendation for a side item also and went with the recommended side order of sweet potato hash. The place is quaint and there isn't a clear waiting area for to go orders. There were 2 ladies sitting at tables awaiting their food. Since I only ordered dessert and a side, I just stepped to the side of the hostess stand since I figured I wouldn't be there long. After 20 minutes, one of the other ladies approached me and mentioned that she'd been waiting 30 minutes for her dinner order. The other lady waiting heard our discussion and chimed in about her long wait as well. While we were talking, a lady came in to return her meal. She said half of it a wrong and what she did taste was not good at all. After waiting 25 minutes for a slice of cake, slice of pie and side I went to the register and told them they could cancel my order and I was going to leave. So I unfortunately did not get to try any of the food. It was quite disappointing since I could literally see the dessert in front of me and it just needed to be placed in a to go container. Another issue I had was an automatic service charge. There is a sign on the wall stating that the charge is added to any order over $15. However, my order was less than $15 and still received an automatic charge.

We bought our two dogs and we were able to sit outside. The music was great, the food was delicious, and the service was excellent.

Do they still have the brunch buffet on weekends?

    What are the vegan dishes?

I highly recommend going to the website and looking at the menu because since they use fresh vegetables from their garden and local gardens, the menus can change. But I have had a baked potato a sandwich as well as salads from there. All very tasty… Read more

Everyone was incredibly accommodating and welcoming. The food was absolutely amazing, truly 5-stars quality across the board. The smoked filet was phenomenal, and the craft cocktails, white sangria, and wine selection were all excellent. Even though there wasn't a children's menu, the staff went above and beyond to make sure our kids were taken care of. The chef even prepared special dishes just for them, which we truly appreciated. I can't say enough about how thoughtful and accommodating the entire team was. However it appears to be Family run with close friends and their kids. The Staff is not very attentive, one bartender so long waits or missed over waiting to place a drink and food order No one's really educated on the menu when asked a question about the food items. They just slide a menu in front of you as a gesture - you read it if you want to know. I can't see the small print on these menus to save my life lol I invited a industry colleague for a business dinner Ok, food review they offer an oxtail protein in the collard greens "Yummy" however I didn't find oxtail in the collard greens anywhere. My guest ordered some cwing dinner that looked like a contraption. As far as the presentation was delivered. I decided on a liquid diet after seeing the food delivery Next week I personally stopped in-for lunch wanted to give this place a chance to rebound and my full attention on a fair review. I wanted to also make sure management was there. An older caucasian woman greets me well we have a cordial conversation about my previous experience and my embarrassment at such a nice looking restaurant She was unable to believe this happened at her restaurant. Just plain disbelief and raved about the kitchen and pride that goes into her food to later having to eat those words Again, limited menu what is up with the 4-5 items to chose from. I donot eat steak fries So I just ordered the burger - medium well - not burned and it had no venison mixed or blended meat added The burger came out with old brown tarnished lettuce I sent it back for fresh lettuce . She brought it back they added thousand island dressing when I specially asked for mayo on the side which was also provided. What is going on in the kitchen I took a bittersweet bite anyways and spat it out. Took my utensils which looks like a switch blade in a fairly nice restaurant. bad esthetics decisions I knifed out The center of the uncooked raw meat of the burger and waited patiently for the nice lady to find her way back over to me I offered to just pay and leave. She ask what was the problem . I uncovered the burger and allowed her to witness fir herself Her face turned beet red and quickly said no charge and stormed off to her kitchen where I am sure like "The Oak" there was a Waffle House griller reject acting as a chef " Pictures attached : I can't make my Experiences UP! #SMH you just can't get what you pay for anywhere these days Me being a restaurant consultants. So, we made the visit for a girls night but there was nothing nostalgic about the experience. The place was majority empty. We assumed it was because we arrived early, 7:30ish closer to 8. However my experience leads me to think differently. Upon entry we were greeted and seated. The menus were already laid on the table waiting for us. So, needless to say there was little to nothing for the host to greet you with or for; table presentation was NOT there. No cups napkins, condiments, eating utensils nothing! We got into the menus -ordered Soul Rolls, a Crab Cake, and 2-orders of wings for appetizers. The soul rolls were overcooked, the yams none existent, and the Macaroni was dry. The crab crake had a fishy taste to it and 1 order of wings was undercooked (per order request) the other was good. When we asked for the wings to be re-made they just throw the wings back in the grease and re-served them. Our MEALS: 2- Rasta Pastas, the yard man snapper, and the jalapeño burger. We had to ask for eating utensils 2x's and after about and 5 more minutes we got them. The Fish was okay but for what it cost (w/ gratuity) and tasted like -wasted money!!! The Rasta pasta was only Alfredo no peppers, cajun season or onions. I guess the burger was decent. We all ordered drinks - lemon drop flight, 4-24 k gold drinks, white wine sangria, and another lemon drop. The drink were meh - the lemon drop flight came w/ ice. My friend wanted a second sangria but couldn't order b/c they ran out of wine and I got a head ache after I drank the two 24ks. Then it came down to paying! Now I thought I was doing good on my balance but I got swindled. First off she had me pay my tab BEFORE she showed me my itemized receipt which include an auto 18% gratuity for 4 people (not worthy) service was SLOW and bad! Not to mention they charged a $2 difference on my drinks. The menu had $16 but I was charged $18 for both. Make them show your receipt ahead of payment. B/c we tipped on top of the gratuity that was included in our bill but weren't informed the tip was already included. The interior was nice, I liked the booth seating and decor. I really liked the fireplace setting. It gave a warm cozy feel. The music was a slight vibe once the drinks kicked in that's it. Advice- Don't believe content creators b/c they have special treatment!
