Carolina Cut Trout

Great food and dining experience! Made reservations here for their private dining room for my mom's 60th birthday. Steve was an amazing host providing us with great service and assistance during our time there. The food and drinks were also wonderful I enjoyed the penicillin cocktail and their house made pickles. My entree i chose the trout which was just ok it could have used more seasoning but I did enjoy my sides of grits and corn casserole. I also got to try the lamb with the chimichirri sauce which was absolutely amazing. I also heard rave reviews from some of the party guests about the short rib and smoked chicken too. They also have live music and weekend brunch options. Definitely recommend checking them out and if you have a small dinner party (up to 20 guests) and looking for a place to host hit up Steve.

Book Club/Going Away Party

We went with a large group (15 I believe) and the service was OUTSTANDING! JC, our server, was amazing and didn't miss a thing. Would absolutely recommend for any situation- and I'll personally recommend sitting at the bar; you'll make at least one new friend and have a great time.

Shredded Pork - oxtail collard greens & Sweet Corn Pudding

The street parking is very limited in front of the restaurant but there is a parking lot diagonally across the intersection. We had no problem finding a spot there. There is a full bar in the middle of the restaurant and dining on either side with a private room in the back. The atmosphere was nice with live music on a Friday night. We've been to this restaurant a handful of times including brunch and a private event. The service and the food are both good including on this occasion. We started with the smoked chicken cheese spread ($12). It came out piping hot and works very well with the pita bread that comes with it. The gold beet salad ($10) was fresh and had a great mix of flavors with feta, pecans, beets and a lemon vinaigrette dressing. My husband had the NY strip which was the special of the night ($38) with 2 sides, mashed potatoes and green beans. My husband couldn't stop raving about the steak. The sides were decent. I ordered the shredded pork which also came with 2 sides, collard greens and corn pudding ($28). I really enjoyed the sides I chose. The pork was good and tender but I didn't care for the house bbq sauce. Our server Mia was great and we finished with her favorite dessert lemon cake ($9) which was moist and yummy. Definitely will keep this one in the rotation.

Kylee was such an AMAZING server. We were here celebrating 3 birthday's with a party of 10. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and our food was simply amazing. I highly recommend you stop by and tell them that Sonya McGuire sent you. The live entertainment was great as well. It added just the right touch to the already beautiful ambiance. Do yourself a favor and ask for Kylee.

Delmonico Ribeye Sweet Corn Pudding Green Beans & Garlic

I could not recommend this place enough! From the service (shout out to Dillon), to the ambiance & the FOOD! Wow! I'd give it 10 stars if I could! We had a combination of drinks, entrees, sides & desserts- have 0 complaints. Please see our items below! Entrees: the shredded pork with cheese grits & fries, the filet with beefsteak tomato & mashed potatoes & gravy, and lastly, the ribeye with creamed corn pudding & green bean with garlic. Drinks: Bourbon Berry Smash, Smoked Old Fashioned, and Sauv Blanc Desserts: white lemon cake, Anne's Kahlua choco-pecan pie, whipped peanut butter pie

OMGOSH literally the absolute BEST catfish I've had in my lifetime! An absolute MUST if you are visiting the area. You will NOT be disappointed! The food makes up for the lack of quality service. Service is slow and lacking. We sat for such a long time and other tables orders taken before ours when we were seated first. We had to flag down the hostess and ask if we were going to be waited on. Then my order got messed up with the incorrect side coming out. So bad! But on to the best part! The catfish! The fish is breaded in a light breading and just so moist and flavorful. It's laid on top of a house made tartar sauce and chimichurri sauce. The tartar is a bit on the spicy side due to it having jalapeño in it so next time I'd get on the side. And really the fish didn't need any sauce at all because it was just so good by itself. I actually ended up taking it off the sauce because the sauce was a bit too much. And you get so much food!! This is quality food! I think this was the best place I ate, hands down during our entire trip! I'll always remember the catfish and if I do come back I'll definitely come here to eat!!! Parking on the street and in back which is free.

Golden Gold Beet Salad

This was my second visit to Cherokee Rose, this time for brunch, and it felt like slipping back into a place that already knew me. The room hummed softly with live music, the kind that settles into your shoulders and makes you linger. Cozy without trying, inviting without rushing, Cherokee Rose knows how to hold a moment. I started with the golden beet salad, earthy and vibrant, a gentle brightness that set the tone. The shrimp cocktail followed. It was clean, briny, refreshing, each bite crisp and confident. Then came the star: eggs Benedict crowned with crawfish. Rich, indulgent, and unapologetically spicy, it carried just enough heat to wake the palate while still feeling deeply comforting. It was bold, satisfying, and absolutely delicious. A cappuccino rounded everything out, warm and velvety, perfect for stretching the morning just a little longer. What truly elevated the experience, though, was the service. The servers were genuinely kind and attentive, moving through the space with grace and warmth, making the meal feel cared for rather than simply served. Cherokee Rose is the kind of place you return to- not out of habit, but out of pleasure. This brunch lingered with me long after the last sip, and I already know I'll be back again.

this restaurant is tucked away in a quite little town. my friends have always come for dinner and said it is fabulous so we decided to try the Sunday brunch. the place was busy and had live music. Everything we ate was delicious. a few of my faves had to be the Chicken dip with pita and my entree was the fried chicken and waffles served with maple syrup. the chicken was perfectly fried and paired amazingly with the waffles and syrup. can't wait to go back for dinner

Stumbled into this place while in town and we were blown away! Max was excellent. The clarinet player killed it. My crab cake Benedict was off the charts for 18$! If we were ever in town again we will be back. Saturday brunch ambiance was great! Service was great. Food was great. The espresso martini are fab!

This was my first time dining at Cherokee Rose BBQ, and it definitely left a great impression. I went with my girlfriend and a few of her family members for a casual evening out. Parking was convenient and free, with street options and a nearby lot--definitely a plus. Since some of our party had already arrived, we were seated immediately. The restaurant itself isn't large, but it's well-laid-out, offering a cozy feel with plenty of space between the bar and tables so it doesn't feel cramped. The lighting is just right, and there are TVs at the bar, so it's a solid spot to catch a game or enjoy the atmosphere. Our server was fantastic--kind, attentive, and very knowledgeable about the menu. For my entrée, I ordered the Smoked Fried Chicken ($30), which comes with two sides. I opted for the Smoked Fontina Mac & Cheese (a premium side with a $3 upcharge) and Rubbed Steak Fries. The portion size was generous--three large, hot, and crispy pieces of chicken: a thigh, a leg, and a wing. The chicken was cooked perfectly and bursting with flavor. The mac and cheese was thick, creamy, and rich--exactly how I like it. The steak fries were thick-cut, well-seasoned, and crispy, adding the perfect crunch to the meal. You can really taste the care and attention to flavor in every bite. The pricing felt totally fair given the portion size and quality. If you're in the Stone Mountain area and looking for a place with great food, good vibes, live music on some nights, and the ability to catch a game while you eat--Cherokee Rose BBQ is a must-visit. It's a true local gem that I'll definitely be coming back to.

Beef tenderloin, button mushrooms, and beefsteak tomato.

The beef tenderloin melted in my mouth. The beefsteak tomato and button mushrooms were the perfect sides. Steve, the server, was enthusiastic about the food and informative. The ambiance is a vibe.

We've been coming to Cherokee Rose for the last 3 years, and it truly feels like home. These people are like family, genuine, welcoming, and always community-driven. The food? Absolutely amazing every single time. The atmosphere? Warm, soulful, and filled with love. One of our favorite moments is every 1st Saturday, when my father-in-law and Shani sing, it turns dinner into something unforgettable. This place isn't just a restaurant; it's a gathering space for the community. Can't recommend it enough. If you're looking for great food, better people, and a place that feeds your soul as much as your stomach, Cherokee Rose is it.

So, we made the visit for a girls night but there was nothing nostalgic about the experience. The place was majority empty. We assumed it was because we arrived early, 7:30ish closer to 8. However my experience leads me to think differently. Upon entry we were greeted and seated. The menus were already laid on the table waiting for us. So, needless to say there was little to nothing for the host to greet you with or for; table presentation was NOT there. No cups napkins, condiments, eating utensils nothing! We got into the menus -ordered Soul Rolls, a Crab Cake, and 2-orders of wings for appetizers. The soul rolls were overcooked, the yams none existent, and the Macaroni was dry. The crab crake had a fishy taste to it and 1 order of wings was undercooked (per order request) the other was good. When we asked for the wings to be re-made they just throw the wings back in the grease and re-served them. Our MEALS: 2- Rasta Pastas, the yard man snapper, and the jalapeño burger. We had to ask for eating utensils 2x's and after about and 5 more minutes we got them. The Fish was okay but for what it cost (w/ gratuity) and tasted like -wasted money!!! The Rasta pasta was only Alfredo no peppers, cajun season or onions. I guess the burger was decent. We all ordered drinks - lemon drop flight, 4-24 k gold drinks, white wine sangria, and another lemon drop. The drink were meh - the lemon drop flight came w/ ice. My friend wanted a second sangria but couldn't order b/c they ran out of wine and I got a head ache after I drank the two 24ks. Then it came down to paying! Now I thought I was doing good on my balance but I got swindled. First off she had me pay my tab BEFORE she showed me my itemized receipt which include an auto 18% gratuity for 4 people (not worthy) service was SLOW and bad! Not to mention they charged a $2 difference on my drinks. The menu had $16 but I was charged $18 for both. Make them show your receipt ahead of payment. B/c we tipped on top of the gratuity that was included in our bill but weren't informed the tip was already included. The interior was nice, I liked the booth seating and decor. I really liked the fireplace setting. It gave a warm cozy feel. The music was a slight vibe once the drinks kicked in that's it. Advice- Don't believe content creators b/c they have special treatment!

He certainly treated us well, and was the consummate professional and veteran! This made the ambiance even more appealing while setting the stage for some really memorable eats and a first date filled with mutual gratitude. The food here is next level Jamaican inspired and phenomenal. We had the oxtail sliders, plantain boat with jerk chicken, and the shrimp tacos. Everything tasted amazing and was expertly presented/plated. While this place seems to draw a 24-35 year old demographic based on social media content, older folks will also love this place. Looking forward to more from this team in the years to come. Also, the bathroom and public areas are squeaky clean! Well done!

When we arrived around 7 pm, I was expected there to be lot of folks inside but that was not the case. Stepping into the restaurant for the first time, I must say I really liked the open setup, decor, and chill vibe. Once the dj arrived, the music blasted which kind of interrupted the chill vibe but all in all we had a great time. There were some drink specials and while I did not partake, I could see from the bar that there was a large selection of liquor and those who did order drinks said that they were pretty good. The menu We had a large party and while our waitress, Sally, was amazing but for a large party there should have been a bit more help besides her and one other waitress handling the other half of the group to help move service along. There were times were drink and food orders never showed but once we let them know items were missing, they apologized and would be back shortly with the items. I had the smash nachos and added shrimp. While it's considered and app the portion size was huge! I couldn't finish it and took it home to enjoy the next day which reheated well in the air fryer lol! The nachos were reallllly good and there was nothing lacking in terms of ingredients. My husband got the loaded shrimp quesadilla and he loved it. Everyone seemed to enjoy their meal and several folks talked about how good their margaritas were. We visited Voss Lounge on Wednesday, April 1, excited for happy hour after seeing their Instagram flyer advertising $5 drinks, small apps, and hookah. Well...that's not exactly what we got. Once we arrived, we were told those $5 specials were actually for Tuesdays--not Wednesdays--and that detail was not clear on Instagram. I was told it was listed on their website, but let's be real...this is 2026--people are checking IG and TikTok, not websites. If you're promoting on social media, it needs to be accurate. We got there around 4:15 PM (happy hour starts at 4), and the place was empty--music wasn't even on yet. My party of four was seated right away, and we ordered drinks, food, and hookah. The lounge itself was beautiful--decked out in red and black with a really nice vibe. I had lemon drops and wings--both were actually really good. No complaints on the food or drink at all. But just know, the wings were not $5 since that special didn't apply that day. Now...the hookah experience? A complete mess. The hookah wasn't $5 either--it was $25 if I recall correctly. The hookah attendant recommended a flavor that was honestly not good at all. When we told her we didn't like it and asked to switch flavors (which we were willing to pay for), she tried to make us purchase a refill instead of simply fixing the issue. We asked to speak to a manager. She went to the back and spoke with someone who I later found out was the owner--but he never came out to address us. That alone didn't sit right with me. Instead, she came back, grabbed the hookah, and walked off. No explanation, no replacement--nothing. It felt like, "We won't charge you, but you're also not getting another one." That whole situation completely turned us off. Now I will give credit where it's due--our waitress was an absolute sweetheart. Friendly, attentive, and she did her best to take care of us. But overall, between the misleading Instagram promotion, the poor hookah experience, and the lack of management presence...this just wasn't it for me. Giving Voss 2/5 for good food, a beautiful space, and a great waitress Everything else? Needs work. Unfortunately, I won't be back!
