Million Dollar Potatoes

I've been here multiple times and the food is always so good. The waitresses are always kind. The juices are fresh. It's one of my favorites places to eat breakfast.

When I visited Georgia, this was a great breakfast spot to stop at. The food was really good and hit the spot. I ordered the biscuits and gravy and definitely recommend them -- flavorful and filling. Service was friendly and the place had a nice, welcoming vibe. I'd recommend this spot if you're in the area looking for a solid breakfast.

I had heard of First Watch when I was in Miami. My mom and her friends frequent it for gatherings and she always raves about it, so I had it on my radar to try it out when I realized they were a chain and there were a few locations near my area. My son and I were pretty famished after a grueling sunrise hike nearby, so when I saw that there was a First Watch just around the corner, I decided it was time to give it a try. I ordered a caramel iced coffee and the BLT style eggs benedict, though I asked them to hold the arugula. My son ordered the breakfast tacos. The iced coffee was too sweet for my liking. It was an overload of sugar, but I guess I should have expected that from the description. My eggs benedict were okay. One of the eggs had broken when they served it to me and they did offer to make me a new egg, but I declined because I was going to break it anyway so I didn't see the point and I didn't really mind as it had no bearing on the taste. However, i did not take a picture of it since it did not look very pretty with the eggy mess. My son devoured his breakfast tacos and seemed to really enjoy them, but he generally loves all food, especially when someone else is footing the bill, so no surprise there that he was thrilled. LOL. The breakfast potatoes were decent too with good flavor. Service was excellent! I think it was the best part of our experience as the server was very attentive and had a great attitude. Despite this, however, the food was just okay for me. Both my son and I agreed that our usual breakfast go-to of IHOP would have been better, so for that reason alone, I don't think our experience warrants more than 3 stars. I can see why my mom and others love it, but it just isn't for me.

I arrived and was told to wait for 35 minutes . I waited with my party for an extra hour after that and they had the table but they left it dirty for 30 minutes before starting to clean it .

Salty potatoes

Food was subpar, very salty omelet and way too much butter in grits. Sent the grits back and asked for no butter, but still loaded with butter and very salty. I've had better food at the other First Watch locations. Bread was best part of meal! Service was also not good, server Kip had a bad attitude, wasn't friendly, and never came back to the table after dropping off food.

My last experience wasn't GREAT but I'm big on service. So that gives this the rating it did. We were sat by the hostess who was GREAT but once sat, we weren't greeted by any server for about 15 minutes. I told the hostess and it still took another 10 minutes for a server to come over and ask "No one greeted you?" And proceeded to have an attitude and/or an annoyance the entire time. It's too early in the morning for you to be this frustrated but we gave them some grace but the attitude never changed. The restaurant wasn't full, it wasn't loud or anything but it also wasn't busy either, there were plenty of servers there I just couldn't see or understand the disconnect. We ordered our food and that wound up taking a while to get fully, everything was being brought out in pieces which frustrated us even more. So we just ate what we had, asked for the check and bounced. I usually never have issues at this location. I'll give it another shot in the future but my dine-in experience may not occur again.

I've been a fan of First Watch! However, the stars reflect the customer service at this location. My meal was tasty as I went with the farmhouse potato hash skillet and the fresh pomegranate pear punch . The atmosphere is open and airy with lots of seating both indoor and outdoor. Additionally, free parking is also available.

Food is really good, service is lacking. Servers are polite but there aren't enough. Wait times are terrible. Prices are higher-end.

It's been a few years since I've dined at Marlow's, but their HH deals brought me in. I sat at the bar, and maybe they were in the middle of a shift change bc it took a while to get greeted and service throughout my experience was slow. I had to wave them down, ask for refills instead of the bartender being diligent. The bar was full, but at one point I saw one of the bartenders texting, so they had time to check on guests. I'm also in the service industry , so I may notice these things more than the average person. Anyways, their happy hour is one of the best I've come across. $5 margs & $6 old fashions to highlight a few items. I love a happy hour with food AND drinks. The food here is still as solid as I remember. I had the kettle chips and wings. Wings were not sauced, but very crispy and came with dipping sauce on the side. The chips were hella good! Crispy and the toppings were great. I had those two appetizers, 3 margs and a creme brûlée for under $40! That's a win, this will be one of my go-to spots for sure.

It took at least 5 minutes to be recognized by a host and then several more before we were seated, even though there were plenty of open tables. We should have left at that point, but we stayed hoping that the server experience would be much better. Then it took some time for the server to come around so, in the meantime, our party planned on our entree item selections to give to the server when she arrived to ask about our drinks, tell about specials, etc. Server writes down our order. 10 minutes + pass and no waters. My girlfriend noticed the server immediately went to clean a table after taking our order. ???? We designated a time that we were going to leave if there was no drinks, and then we left when the time came. On a lesser note, the place has plenty of TVs. We went to watch the second half of a college basketball game (University of North Carolina vs Dook) on ESPN, a basic cable network, and none of the TVs had the game on. No big deal. But when the server came to take our order, we also requested that she put the tv closest to us on the UNC/Dook game. 10 minutes + pass and I was still watching it on my phone as she never changed the channel. Anyway. 20-25 minutes total. Many delays and excuses. 0 Stars. 1 will have to do for. We went to Brockett Pub, three miles down the road. We were acknowledged and served quickly, they put the game on, we had a wonderful meal, and Carolina won. All's well that ends well, but never again here.

It's located right in the heart of downtown Tucker, with plenty of parking on the side and a spacious interior, including a private dining room for large parties. We came around 2:30 PM, after the lunch rush, so it wasn't too busy. The setup is cafeteria-style -- you grab a tray, walk down the line, and let the servers know what you'd like. Everything is à la carte, with entrées around $6-$8 and sides about $2.50-$3, so you're looking at roughly $15 per person for a full meal -- not bad at all. Everyday they have a different set menu of what they serve so you get a mixture. We ordered a bit of everything. I'm a big meatloaf fan, so I had to try it -- but unfortunately, it didn't live up to my hopes. It didn't look very appetizing and the texture was overly ground and slightly gritty because it was a bit dry. It comes with your choice of gravy or marinara sauce, but honestly, I would've preferred some classic ketchup on top instead. The fried fish was mostly batter with very thin fillets, so there wasn't much substance there either. The country fried chicken, however, was the highlight -- large portion, well-cooked, and flavorful. Just note that once you add the gravy, it loses that crispy texture and becomes soggy. The sides were decent but nothing memorable, and the bread and hush puppies were pretty dry. Since everything is counter-service, there isn't much staff interaction. You pay upfront, find your own seat, and when you're done, you just leave your tray -- there aren't any trash cans to clear your own table. Overall, the experience was just okay. It's a neat place with history and friendly vibes, but the food didn't quite hit the "soul" level I was hoping for. There are definitely other country-style spots I'd try before coming back.
