Wells Cargo Cafe is nothing short of excellent. The food is fresh and delicious. My friends both tried dishes off their daily special's board. I'm pretty sure they pick up what looks good at the market that day and turn those into specials. SO GOOD. I went for the burger and I am not overselling this when I say it is the best burger I have had in Atlanta - and I am regularly on the hunt for the new best burger. I've been thinking about this burger for WEEKS now. I'd give the burger 10 stars if I could. Sadly, they are closed Sundays which is my splurge day otherwise I would literally eat here every weekend. The setting if cute too. Candle light at every table and a decent beer selection makes for a fun date. If you go on a Friday, round your evening off with some Karaoke at Cafe Jaya down the street.

What a quaint little spot with great service, reasonable prices, too bad only open Wednesday-weekends for dinner only. Great homemade soups and specials everyday. Give this little treasure a try if in Stone Mountain.

Smooth on the spoon with that soft creamy finish that makes soup feel a little luxurious instead of just warm. The feta on top cut through it nicely. Salty. Tangy. A little flash of brightness in every bite. It gave comfort with some polish. Like rainy day food that still has good posture. The almond croissant was the one. Golden edges. A soft shatter on the outside. Then that dense almond center that lands sweet, nutty, and almost plush. The powdered sugar on top made it feel a little extra in the best way. Not too precious. Not too sugary. Just enough to make it feel bakery serious. The kind of pastry that makes you pause after the first bite because now everybody else at the table wants some. The tea was better than good. Clean. Smooth. Calming in a way that made everything else settle into place. It felt intentional. Not an afterthought. Definitely the standout and the easiest thing to come back for. Forgot her name, but the woman helping me order was a lifesaver. Honest. Adorable. Knew how to guide without hovering. Gave the kind of recommendation you trust immediately. The room had that easy café buzz. Warm lighting. People lingering. Felt relaxed without losing its shape. it's giving... quiet luxury brunch energy due to the vibe she gave. Coming back.

I don't live far, but I've had a hard time finding spots to post up for a bit outside of Privi at Stonecrest. From my first visit, I felt so welcomed. The staff was friendly and the menu had plenty of options. I've been a couple of times now, and I have to admit--I haven't quite nailed my coffee order yet. That's completely on me though. The first time, I tried "Falling in Love with Biscoff." It looked amazing, and so did the pastries, so I added a slice of banana bread. That was the mistake--because it was so good that everything after just couldn't compete. The drink was way too sweet for me, especially after that banana bread. On my next visit, I decided to keep it simple with a matcha, but someone suggested adding blueberry syrup. Knowing I don't usually do flavors in my matcha, I went for it anyway. Again... on me! Even with my off-ordering luck, I love the vibe here. Tammy was in when I arrived, and she is such a light--it was a pleasure meeting her. I'll definitely be back. TLC is the perfect go-to when I don't feel like driving too far into the city.

Okay so BOOM! I am hosting Thanksgiving this year and needed a restaurant that could accommodate an…read moreorder of collard greens. Ok. I called Collard Green Cafe and placed an order for a full sized pan of greens for $100. Cool. I then said well before I make the commitment of spending $100, let me visit and actually try them because not everyone's taste in collard greens is the same. So I go and I politely ask is it possible for me to get a sample (like a fork or a condiment size portion.) The young lady assisting me asked the owner and he immediately told me no. I explained that I had just placed an order for a whole pan and wanted to make sure it was going to be something everyone would enjoy flavor wise. He said "No, if I give you a sample then they'll be giving samples to everyone. You see the name in the restaurant, that's how you know it's good. Check the google reviews" Me being me I'm thinking he's joking until I realized he was Dead Ass! He then proceeded to say you can buy a side and I'll even just charge you $5 instead of the $5.99 and slides over their catering menu and walks away. At that point I'm like I get it you're well established and clearly people like your collard greens since you named the restaurant after it. But hell Burger King makes burgers and people don't like it, just like Subway makes subs and ppl don't like it. Butttttt...me being me I'm like okay I get the ego, he thinks his greens is top sh*t so I paid for the side of greens and left. Needless to say, I'm saying all of this because the greens are good. But I will not be supporting or recommending this business. And lord knows I love me a good black owned business. The owner's demeanor was off putting, body language and tone as if I was just in there trying to sample the whole menu. I placed an order for $100 (which I will be cancelling), because as a business owner there's a way to do things and if someone wants to sample your product after already committing to buying something what are you losing. Again, the collard greens are good but the treatment and response to a sample request was not it.

I booked a tea party lunch session on the weekend with my friend, and we both had a wonderful experience. They also accommodate a vegan menu for tea party bookings. Our names were printed on the menu, which was a very nice touch. There is a large collection of teas to choose from, along with a detailed menu. They let you smell the teas from a tea tray, which helps a lot when choosing the one you like. The staff explained each tea and recommended flavors based on our personal tastes. They also introduced and explained the sweet and savory items on the menu. We had panda tea and hibiscus tea. The sweet and savory tea party lunch set was delicious and represented Indonesian desserts well. We enjoyed the savory items more than the sweet ones, but we loved the great variety of desserts. We especially loved the presentation. Everything came together to create a lovely experience and a wonderful girls' hangout time. The place is quaint and cute. The staff is super friendly and attentive. Her posture while pouring tea was very elegant. It happened that the weekend we chose was right before Valentine's weekend, so the restaurant was not too crowded, which was a plus for us. However, their lunch party sessions are normally fully booked and busy, especially on weekends. You should definitely call and book ahead if you want to experience this lunch tea party. 12/10 highly recommend this experience, especially for girls' dates. I will come back to try other à la carte items from the menu.

I've been looking for Kaya toasts in ATL since trying it the first time in Singapore. The ambiance of this place is so chic and adorable! You order at the counter and they will bring your order to your table. I had a friend already snag a table before I got there. I'm not sure what she ordered but I of course had to get a kaya toast with pandan and bajigur. My order came out super fast and I couldn't wait to get in the kaya toast. The toast was delicious but quite messy to eat since the butter was melting fast. The bajigur was very ginger heavy but had a nice sweetness and addition of coconut milk. The employee said I could ask for less ginger next time! Overall, I'm impressed with this place and would love to try more Indonesian treats! They also serve brunch on the weekends now.

I was surprised that they only had cheesecake and not actual cakes. Nonetheless, we got the cannoli cheesecake which I enjoyed. It was a good balance of light and fluffy from the makeshift cannoli cream with the rich and creaminess from the NY-style cheesecake. I will say I was disappointed that they didn't add real cannoli cream, or they make their cannoli cream very different than how it's typically make. Even the half cannoli on top was stuffed with whipped cream and frosting, instead of cannoli cream. Also, they added an orange extract or liquor to the cake which gave it a strange taste. But it was still tasty and the slice is massive - definitely enough for two people. Ambiance: the place is very cute instead. It gives off European-vibes and I really liked the ambiance. Location: they are located in Midtown, a few blocks from Piedmont Park. They validate parking (up to 2 hours) at the Loews hotel garage around the corner. Service: the host and server were very kind and attentive. They constantly checked in on us and refilled our waters.
