My first experience there was horrible. I found hair in my food and the manager would not refund me my money nor did he want to talk abt the situation. He hung up on me when I called and when I went up to the location he went to the back. After 10-15min I had to ask for him again and when he finally came bk to the front he totally disregarded me . My hubby wanted to finally try this place recently when I was ordering from Magnolia Room across the street. He's definitely more of a burger guy, so this seemed to be a better option for him. We pulled through the drive-thru - no trouble ordering, the line moved quickly, and the worker was patient with us while we decided what to get. It was around dinner time on a Thursday evening. My love decided to get a double cheeseburger with Cajun fries, onion rings, and a shake with chocolate chip cheesecake, Oreo, and coffee added in. I decided to try the cheese curds as an appetizer for my meal. The worker at the window was super nice and friendly. Everything came out promptly and tasted fresh, was cooked thoroughly but not overdone and seemed to be in good order. My guy said the burger was okay. He got it with the works on it, but he said he might explore some of their other options next time - maybe try another burger or meal. He said it was better than the one he had from The Varsity before though. The onion rings and fries were good - standard, but good. The best item was probably the cheese curds - great flavor and cooked to perfection. Our least favorite (but still an okay item) was the shake. It had too many chocolate chunks in it from the chocolate chip cheesecake topping and seriously lacked cheesecake flavor. The added Oreo and coffee could also have stood out more but it didn't. You can't compare it to Sonic's Oreo coffee cheesecake shake or any similar Five Guys shake, as it just won't make the cut, but it was decent. We wouldn't get that combo again we agreed and would probably stick to a plain chocolate shake or try another few add-ins. Overall, it was a fine experience though. Good service and decent food. I like that they have options to order different tray set meals - good for couples and families or if you're just hungry and want variety with a good bang for your buck. I told them not to put mustard and pickles on my reg. burger. Nope, they put it anyway. I drove to the restaurant in Tucker from the one on Panola drive. I got my order an noticed my bag was light when I got to my car. It turned out they forgot one of my sandwiches. I went back in and they tried to tell me I paid for only one sandwich. I told them I gave the order taker a $20. she gave me $2 dollars and change. I really didn't see what the big deal about it was so before heading back home to Florida, we stopped by to pick up some food. So I ordered a beef quesadilla combo with double fries and a huge tea. You can't beat the price of $4.99 so I figured it was a good deal. The service was good and the place was clean. It was a little odd to have a sink outside of the restrooms. I didn't actually go in to the restrooms to see if there was one inside but I would like to assume that there was. This location of Cook Out is a bit of a drive for me, but Cook Out is always worth it! It's open late, like every other location, but found some homeless man asking us for our change at the drive through window to make us very uncomfortable at night. FYI, the dining room closes earlier than the drive-thru hours, so plan accordingly. Also, be sure to ask for condiments because if you don't ask, they won't go out of their way to ask or provide. We had ketchup-less, mustard-less corn dogs, hot dogs, burgers, chicken nuggets and onion rings. Speaking of which - these chicken nuggets are BOMB. Wish we got more than 3 in the combo meal... but even without ketchup, they were juicy and tender. You can't go wrong with a $5 meal! There's an outdoor seating area, which is convenient after the indoor dining room closes if the weather outside is nice. When we came in the summer there were some high school students sitting outside sipping on shakes while we munched on fried foods... I wish there were closer locations to the Perimeter. My husband grabbed the food and had to go bavk to the counter 3 times to get all of our food. My shake came out first. He brought it to me and then went back and got his shake from them. The little one got some chicken nuggets, which must have been good since a whole nugget got shoved in during feeding time. I got double fries with my combo and my husband got fries and onion rings.
