Located at the end of a dusty, old shopping strip, this kitchen is putting out delicacies that will keep your palate happy. The food is fresh, vibrant, and deeply flavorful, prepared with a level of care that shows in every dish. Their kabobs will rock your face: my friends said they were juicy, tender, and marinated with a spicy authenticity that set them apart from so many others we've tried. I had the Qulabi Pulao, a rice dish made with raisins and carrots. See the picture I posted. Underneath that mound is a mouth-watering lamb-shank. Truly an impressive culinary treat. Whoever they've got in the kitchen, she or he really knows what they're doing. The staff here deserves some serious praise. Friendly, warm, and attentive, one man took care of our entire lunch group. He made sure we were welcome from the moment we walked in. He handled our questions with ease, making some enthusiastic and well-informed recommendations for us. We went for lunch, and found the place quiet, clean, and brightly lit. But it seems clear International Kabob House is set up for a slightly different experience when the sun sets. I imagine the atmosphere changes after dark, when you can relax under some dim, moody lighting and enjoy a hookah after your meal. Next time I go, I want to try the tea. It smelled seductively of saffron. Without a doubt, this is one of the top halal dining spots in Georgia. It's a place where you can savor spectacular food and then sit back and enjoy a leisurely hookah session, all in one welcoming setting. Highly recommended for both its cuisine and its atmosphere. I visited this restaurant with my coworkers to have lunch around noon and I think it was a great time, there were a few other customers, so our order was taken pretty fast. We ordered an appetizer to share and it was really tasty and flavorful. The server was very kind and answered our questions. I ordered a beef kabob and I was surprised because the portion is very generous, I was able to eat just half of it (and lucky to take home the other half). I enjoyed the meet flavor but I found it just a little bit on the salty side. I also got an Afghani tea which tastes really good. Ambience is relaxed and the restaurant is big, there's plenty of room for large groups. Give it a try if you like Kabobs and if you're in this area of town. read more

Service was good, and the ambiance was clean and spacious. We ordered the boneless lamb kebab and chicken biryani. Serving size is HUGE so we had some to take home after. I've only ever been to one other Afghani restaurant so since we were next door at a collectibles store at around lunch time, we decided to try this place out. The food was amazing! The staff were friendly and provided great service. They clearly tried to do the best in terms of decor that they could with a strip mall building and probably a pretty limited budget. But did I mention the food was amazing? The chicken biryani was on the spicy side, but we loved that. No veggies in this version: just rice, lots of spices and some of the best chicken thighs I've ever had. The meat was cooked perfectly, literally falling off the bones. It was tender and very flavorful. But even with that, the rice itself was the star of this dish, due to the delicate and very flavorful seasoning. The chicken tikka kababs were also excellent. Huge chunks of perfectly cooked white meat chicken breasts in this case. They were also seasoned very well and had that flavor you get when you cook something on a charcoal grill in your backyard or at a park someplace. Literally comfort food Afghani style! They were served off the skewer on top of Afghan bread along with some onions. Prices were very reasonable for the portion sizes. A really varied crowd of customers, proving that everybody loves great food! Highly recommended. read more

Chicken Tikka - $13.99 The tikka kabob was delicious, savory, tender, and fresh. It's your general Afghani fare with saffron and sumac. It came on top of Afgani style bread which is thicker than say Sangak. They also give a salad of cucumbers, tomatoes on the side along with a yogurt based sauce and red hot sauce The owner was nice and surprised us with the Qubali Pulao and it was very delicious and fresh. It comes with carrots, raisins and was not heavy with ghee. There are 2 delicious spices on the table one is sumac and the other a brown looking type seasoning. This tasted amazing on the rice If you're a hookah lover there is an outdoor seating / patio area and looks like there's events or celebrations possible inside bc the dang disco lights kept shining in our faces lol. We went on a Saturday at 12:27 peak lunch service. There was one worker who was on the phone taking an order. There were two couples in booths both holding menus looking frustrated. We waited without a menu for 10 minutes aa two more people walked in and the worker disappeared into the kitchen to relay the order. He seated the new people with menus and we didn't get one still. He went and answered the phone again which is when we decided to leave since no one got an order in by this point. We also noticed that the exterior door was open to the kitchen. read more

I assumed from the reviews that this was going to be a good experience but we were blown away by how good this place is. We got the meal for 4 and even after everyone was full we had enough leftover to take home for another dinner. A super value but even better was how good the food is. I do not think that anything we were served was not enjoyed by all. Not overly seasoned, cooked well, and just bursting with amazing flavor. The only difference was mine didn't come with rice, like I saw in the persons review. I enjoyed my meal. The kabobs were good, the sauce and seasoning was good as well.
