I had the junk truck fries and Fresh Prince. All was hot fresh and delicious. My husband and I split this but the fries could have been split between three to four people alone. A hug amount. The sandwich again very flavorful was the standard sub size of a Philly. This may have been the meal to convince my husband to come over to the greener side of food. Just tried this spot. Came highly recommended by a vegan friend. I eat meat, but I'm always down to try something interesting. The Katfish sandwich with banana blossom was legit. Super crispy, well spiced. Really reminded me of a real catfish sandwich. I'm coming back for that! Also tried the boneless wings and Fresh Prince philly. They both use jackfruit, which I hadn't eaten before. The texture is close to flakey brisket, and it tastes like they actually smoke it, which totally gives it a backyard BBQ flavor. I bet it would totally kill in their BBQ sandwich. It seemed a little out of place in the philly, but the wings with the hot honey were a winner, tangy and tasty. Ordered off their website. It took about 30 minutes to prepare my food, which is pretty fast once you learn there's just one guy working there. He was super friendly too. I tried this place in high hopes it would be a great added addition to my go tos as I'm newly pescatarian. I ordered the crab cake pictured below which didn't meet my expectations primarily because the pictures on Uber eats look amazing. The cake was filled with artichokes which wasn't bad it actually was good, just unexpected. It had more artichokes than crab meat unfortunately. "Chips" with the meal were 2 bags of plain lays which was also unexpected. I'll give it another try and try another food item with minimal expectation. read more

I heard about this place from Instagram and figured why not give it a try! It is located in a shopping park and sharing a restaurant with another Jamaican restaurant as well. That said, this restaurant is open on Weekends (Friday-Sunday). It combines a unique mix of Caribbean and Soul Food and the menu consists of many sandwiches and dishes made over french fries. That said, I tried 2 of the items from the menu: Jerk Fries Before I walked in the door, I saw "Jerk Fries" on the wall and was sold on that idea. the fries were great mainly because of two things: 1. The jerk sauce was done perfectly! I am Jamaican so I've been trying jerk items for some time now but jerk chicken is usually a dry rub. You don't get to have it in sauce form often and having a jerk sauce over veggies, cheese and smoked mock meat made from jackfruit really works well! Big Mamma Burger One thing that shocked me the most about this burger is the fact that the patty had a great flavor and it was made totally from Jackfruit so that alone was throwing me off. It had vegan cheddar cheese, bbq sauce, fried onions, jalapenos and vegan bacon. We've been wanting to try Planted Express for a while and we're glad we finally did! Buffalo Fries: Fries are crispy and had good texture, even with a 10 minute ride home. These come with a cheesy sauce, ranch, buffalo jackfruit pieces, vegan bacon and green onion. The combo of the creamy ranch and cheesy sauce with the vegan bacon (yummy) was great. The buffalo sauce was pretty hot for us, but we have no hot tolerance. The flavor was good. I thought the jackfruit would be crispier, but it was still a good addition. Next time we will get the jackfruit wings with the sauce on the side and try them that way. We also got the Big Mama. This is worth the trip. This patty is special! It's a great texture and a great taste. Three of us tried it - one an omnivore- and everyone proclaimed it delicious. You will not regret getting this burger. Love that it's not soy, beyond or impossible. We got a side of plain fries which were cooked well. The seasoning blend was a little too salty for me personally, but I will just ask for light next time. The ranch was creamy and a delicious dipping sauce. (We were missing the side of fries and ranch when we got home, so we had to go back, but it was worth it. They also upsized the fries for us and gave us a drink!) The god is 5 stars, for sure. I would give 5 stars for adding more detail to the menu so that we know what's gluten free/friendly. If the burger patties are GF, I'd love to see a GF bun option. I spoke to gentleman name Pat and solicited his assistance in making a selection of a entree that represents what the establishment represents. I settled on the Marley Fries. The rest is history. This vegan restaurant has one of the best flavors in Atlanta, you must get the the fresh prince its a philly cheesesteak made with jackfruit, mushrooms, bellpepper and onions it melts right into your mouth you cant tell the difference from a real cheesesteak. I also ordered the loaded buffalo cheese fries it went well with the cheesesteaks. I spoke to some regulars while waiting and they told me to try the wingsnext time they were also really good ill be back again to try them. The owner Terrance was working and running the whole place by himself and gave me amazing service went above and beyond. I searched google for a plant based restaurant and lo and behold found one in my own neighborhood. It's called Planted Express. I would not have known it is where it is because they share the space with a Jamaican restaurant. Most of the items on the menu are made with jackfruit . To be safe I ordered the boneless wing sandwich. It was served on a hoagie. When I looked at it I thought it was too much to eat at one sitting, but when I tasted it I could not stop eating. If you're looking for meat like texture jackfruit gives you that, and the seasoning was awesome. The sandwich was filling and delicious. The meals are made on order so expect up to a half hour wait or order ahead and pick up. There is no indoor seating but when you get it home you will probably be happy that you're not licking your fingers in public. My only regret is that they are not open earlier or on more days, but I'll definitely be there on the weekend. read more

Service wasn't bad but the food definitely was I ordered 6 boneless wings and the fresh Prince Philly sandwich with a side salad and plantain chips , first of all the oil the fry there food in is Canola oil which is terrible for your health , the boneless wings were so salty I could barely eat them the salad was literally a few pieces of romaine lettuce with one slice of tomato cut in half the Philly sandwich wasn't bad but it wasn't what I would have expected for a total of 41.00 and I picked the food up , so here the take away from this review for those that read it just bc it's vegan doesn't mean it's healthy nor good for your body while canola oil does come from a plant the oil is highly inflammatory to the body and for 41.00 they can surely use a quality oil like avocado oil for their fried items , to sum up this place I would not recommend nor would I go back to patronize this establishment it is highly overpriced and definitely not worth th money they charge , yes they use jack fruit instead of soy or tofu , but the food was just not the quality that should demand such a premium price , I really struggled to leave this review bc it is a black owned business , but if it's not good for us does it matter if it's black or white or any other nationality ! read more
