I usually come here for the banana pudding, but you really have to catch it on a good day. When the chef is in the mood, it's great. When he's not, you'll end up with whipped cream and a few banana slices tossed into a to‑go container. Then it was wrong, I think I said no bacon, I don't eat pork, it had bacon anyway, they had to remake, wasting more of my time and I think another item was missing. Mind you, no compensation or anything to make it right. But if I was allergic and they went against that, it would have big a major problem for them. They didn't care. I had food from this restaurant like 2'or 3: years ago. Only thing at the time I ordered my burger a certain way and it was cooked differently. This time is a charm. I got my food through Uber Eats on 11-26-2025. I got the burger of champions! The short rib burger is that! I had a burger that was supposed to be like the this years ago at a steakhouse in Norcross GA not even close to this. I wish that they had the paper bags that can get stapled here because I got my food and the bun on top was off I hope that the Uber Eats driver didn't tapper with it. We have visited this location several times and never had a bad experience, always raved about it.... For some reason though, today we got the waitress that didn't give a shit. Waited forever for our food, she was curt to the point of rude, and at one point, we asked the manager if he could find her because we had a question. He walks all over the restaurant, asking the other staff if they saw her with no luck. Some time later, we see her come out of the bathroom, she sidestep our table, at this point we have no idea what is going on, or what her issue is. She finally brings the rest of our food. She took another 40 min to bring our check so we could pay and then disappears again. Doesn't ask if we need a box doesn't ask how everything was, doesn't ask if we want dessert. We were trying to pay the bill by the QR code so we wouldnt have to bother her, but ya know, the wifi wouldnt work, so we still had to wait until she decided to stop by to run the card. We just sat there until someone made eye contact or decided to talk to us. I mean, God they are all tired there, and upon walking out of the bathroom and having to find paper towel off the tables in the dining area to wipe my hands with, the hostess is slumped over the hostess stand and just looks at me, and says nothing as we walk out the door. Don't worry, you don't have to try so hard to chase people away, I'll save my gas driving out of my way to go there and a nice dinner for somewhere else where they know customer service and how to talk to people. read more

It was date night and I wanted to try somewhere new. As I was headed to Church St. I used Yelp to search my options and Bad Daddy's Burger Bar grabbed my attention. Extra points got me as when I mentioned where we were going it was expressed to be one of their fave spots. Bad Daddy's Burger Bar sits in the plaza so there is ample parking. As we walked up to the door I was taken aback as the right side door presents a safety hazard as it is broken and hanging. There were no signs, caution tape, or anything. I was afraid to open the left side as it appeared to be the only thing holding the door up. However, as there were people inside, I figured it had to work. I slowly pulled the left door and the right one didn't fall so we made it in safely. Upon entering, the hostess stand was empty. We waited and were greeted by the hostess once she recognized we were waiting. It was about a 1-2 minute wait, nothing major. The ambiance was mellow. Though it's a bar and the game was on, everyone was engaged with their tables which kept the noise to a minimum and there were quite a few families in attendance which added to the upbeat environment. Once seated, the table was clean and still wet so you could tell it was freshly wiped down. I dried the table and we began to look over the menu. Our waitress arrived almost instantly and was all smiles, very bubbly, and super pleasant. Once she greeted us and introduced herself (I believe her name was Taylor) she took our drink orders and allowed us time to review the menu. I was hungry so it was one of those nights I needed something filling. As the menu has a variety of pub themed options, I decided on the Bistro Burger with a side of Onion Rings. The Bistro Burger is detailed as, Gouda cheese, applewood smoked bacon, grilled onions, arugula & chipotle avocado crema and was really good. The meat was well done as I requested. There was a charbroiled flavor that stood out and added to the flavor profile of the burger. The bacon was crispy and the cheese held its ground with the applewood and smoke of the bacon along with the chargrilled flavor. As my sandwich was good at the table, I took half of it home and I'll be honest. It tasted even better once it had time to sit and marry together. Ummmmmmmmm. The Onion Rings were crispy on the outside with a tender onion on the inside. Well seasoned and not greasy. They paired very well with the burger and were good enough to be a standalone item. Stopped by the Decatur location for dinner on September 20, 2025. Upon entering, I noticed very few customers. They sat me down at a booth. Despite being staffed up for a full restaurant, I had to wait for 15 minutes for a server to bring menus. During this 15 minute wait I counted 6 servers walking back and forth to the kitchen. The server took my order, which included a Peach Sweet Tea cocktail; a Caesar Salad and a Potato Tots and a Big Daddy Cheeseburger (with an egg included). The salad came out in short order. It was fresh except for the croutons, which were not crisp. The tots showed up with the hamburger. They were crunchy and well seasoned. This was a delicious bite. The hamburger came with bacon. The bacon was piled on one bun and the rest of the ingredients on the other bun. The bacon was very crunchy and overcooked for a hamburger. The bacon should lie flat on the hamburger. The hamburger itself was dry. I'm not sure if this was due to lean meat, either 95 to 5 percent lean or 97 to 3 percent lean or simply over cooking it. (Dry hamburgers seem to be an Atlanta area problem at numerous restaurants I been to over the years). I ordered the banana pudding for dessert. I should have known better. This was the only dessert on the menu. The rest of the items were various milk shakes. I try not to order dessert in restaurants, where desserts are only after thoughts. Again, I waited 15 minutes for dessert. It had lots of cream, with bananas and vanilla wafers on the bottom. There were a few pieces of bananas and a few pieces of wafers. This was the worst banana pudding I ever had. The last time I was here is over a year or two ago. Back then the service and food were great. I frequented the place often when it first opened. Bad Daddy living up to the name of "Bad"! I stopped in for lunch yesterday after not visiting the restaurant in a while. The first thing I noticed was the health sign indicating a score of 92 A. I looked at the items and thought, okay, they must have had an off day--it's still an A. We were immediately seated at a table; in the past, we've always sat at the bar because we liked the service from that area. About two minutes later, our waiter came to take our drink orders. Since we couldn't make up our minds yet, we just asked for water. We continued to look at the menu and selected one veggie burger and one regular burger. Doing his job in upselling, the waiter asked if we wanted an appetizer. He explained which items were considered hits and which ones were misses. I always appreciate feedback from waiters who know their menus. We ordered the deviled eggs with no bacon. He confirmed that there would be no bacon. For my veggie burger, I requested Bad Daddy sauce and spicy ketchup, along with romaine lettuce, arugula, mushrooms, and cheese. He referred to my veggie burger as a "heavy burger." When I pressed him on that, he stated it was because of the two sauces. I could sense his tip decreasing as it crossed the line at a place called Bad Daddy's Burger. My colleague ordered a burger with grilled onions. When asked about sides, I added truffle fries to my order, and my colleague chose broccoli. After waiting a good 15-20 minutes, we noticed we still didn't have our water. So, we flagged the waiter down to order lemonades. The deviled eggs arrived, and I took one bite. My lips began to tingle, and my throat started to feel itchy. I immediately realized we still didn't have water. I called out for the waiter to bring water, as I was obviously having a reaction. He looked confused about why it was a big deal regarding the bacon. "Oh, they put bacon on it! I wrote no bacon," he said. It was on the salad portion, which my colleague confirmed, as she doesn't have a problem with pork. I had to run to the bathroom and vomit to slow or stop the allergic reaction. Thankfully, it worked, and I didn't need to use the EpiPen in my purse. We should have just left, but we chalked it up to an honest mistake in the kitchen. They offered to remake it without the bacon for real this time. That remake never came but appeared on our bill. When our burgers arrived, mine was missing the romaine lettuce. The waiter looked at my burger, saw green stuff, and assumed it was lettuce. I had to tell him it was arugula, not romaine. My colleague's burger came with fried instead of grilled onions. I felt like these were rookie cooking mistakes. The truffle fries were good but had a little too much salt. A woman with braids came to our table to inquire about the deviled eggs. She stated there wasn't any bacon on them! (Zoom in on photo.) That was a total gaslighting comment that did nothing to help the situation. I pointed out that the bacon was on the salad. You would think that if a customer says "no bacon," it would extend to the garnish as well. The bar ambiance was ruined by a screaming toddler. No fault of the toddler, but that child was clearly uncomfortable. Based on the level of service and the casual handling of food sensitivities and allergies, I cannot risk my health and safety with their cooking. Finally!!! This is a spot where bad is good. In the Plaza across from the hospital. Ample parking, and fun sports bar like restaurant. I went mid day on a Sunday and there were children and even a huge dog inside. So I guess it's safe to say all are welcomed. Service was friendly and ambiance is 100% sports bar.
