3 Pigs Burger and fries
Love B.

Had a wonderful time here. The food was delicious at every step, except for the fries that were cooked a little too long. The octopus, lamb chops, and 3 pigs burger knocked it out of the park, though. One of the best burgers I've ever tasted. The drinks were strong and unique, and the service was excellent. Very attentive and accommodating. They didn't even rush us near closing or even mention it. I highly recommend this place and will definitely return

PERFECTION I had the Caesar Salad and Lamb Lollipops. Both were delicious. Highly recommend!

Service, ambiance and food were incredible. It's quaint with delicious food. Food came out very quickly. Highly recommend!

This picture does not do justice to the magnificence that is Sausage Gravy on Biscuits with a Fried Chicken Breast.

File this under "Places you go when you want everything to go right." Kindred is excellent. Ask for Sleighton (sp?). She makes everything perfect. She knows the menu backwards and forwards, makes good recommendations and puts real love into her work. Kindred is what happens when the owners of Oak Grove Market do a sit-down restaurant. I've been to Kindred a handful of times now for lunch, and I've never been disappointed in anything I've ordered, whether it's a steak sandwich, the pimiento cheese appetizer, some roasted oysters, or the Sausage Gravy on a Biscuit with a fried Chicken Breast (see the terrible pic I uploaded). The house chips with some Chimichurri ranch are good and the fries are simply outstanding. Kindred is also simply comfortable. Every table is conducive to good conversations. And every time I've gone, I've never wanted for anything. My glass is always full. I will eventually make it to Kindred for dinner. Holler if you're coming with.

This restaurant is a true gem! I went with a friend for dinner. The service was amazing. The owner even came over to our table and talk to us for a little while. He also suggested some items. He was very hands-on and I enjoyed that. We started off with appetizers. We shared the sticky ribs. Which were absolutely amazing! We also shared the shrimp and grits. Those were really good as well. The grits have corn in them which is different but had a good taste. And we got the garlic crab claws. The crab claws were really good to. Make sure you take that bread and dip it in that sauce... Amazing. Four entrées my friend got the Kindred burger. She is lactose intolerant so she got it without the cheese. It was a huge burger and she even had some left over. I got the crispy chicken. Which was cooked perfectly. I was even able to switch out the sauté spinach that it comes with and get asparagus at no extra charge. This is going to be one of my new favorite places to go to!

Delicious food !

What can I say.... This place is a MUST ! We decided to go for our anniversary and I am so glad we did. From the minute we walked in the door u til the minute we walked out, everything was too notch! Let's talk about decor- it's intimate, but casual at the same time. The art work is really fun and so is the music. There are tables indoors as well as a bar. They also have a few tables outside as well. Ok- drinks- the back of the menu has signature cocktails, wines, beers, and bubbles. My pollinator drink had tequila and berry something and peppercorn. We also had a paloma which was super delish too. FOOD!! The menu offers share plates, steaks, and non-steak entrees. We went with 3 share plates to start- sticky ribs, beet terrine, and crab in a curry broth. I dreamt about all of it all night. The beet terrine is beautifully layered red and golden beets with whipped goat cheese. Do I need to say more??? All we so good! The steak menu is so creative. You have the choice of a Ribeye, filet, or hanger. Then you choose your seasoning. Everything from classic salt pepper and homemade steak sauce to a chimmichurri and pickled onion topping. Then you choose your side. Matt went with the classic ribeye(MR) and the grits. It did not disappoint! I actually had the shareable veggie tacos because I was already full, but it was so good! For dessert we had a coconut tree leche and a homemade chocolate cookie with coffee ice cream. We will definitely be back! I don't plan to bring the kids though anytime soon.

Delicious! First time here and enjoyed it very much. The food was outstanding at reasonable prices. The decor is too cute. We got the burger, the chicken and the pimento cheese. All of it was 10/10. A man who I believe to be the manager came and checked on us 3 times. Great service!

Delicious appetizer, the food 100% amazing-

Food was good, service was a little slow, but it was pleasant and crowded so I understand. Ambiance is noisy, but lively and fun.

We were there celebrating our engagement, and they made it feel so special by decorating our table with rings and confetti to celebrate our love. Our server gave us so much attention and made the experience feel personal. Since it was our first time there, they took the time to walk us through some of the best items on and off the menu, and shared their favorite dishes. Everything was done with care. The restaurant was clean, the bathroom was amazing, and the food was worth every dollar. The short rib was so tender, and the New York strip was seasoned to perfection and cooked medium well just how we like it. The twice-baked potato loaded with bacon, sour cream, chives, and cheese was delicious, and the mac and cheese was so good. I also appreciated that they allowed me to order it without the roasted saltine crackers. I can't wait to visit again!

Bones has old money vibes - for example, the receptionist referred to us as Mr. and Ms. which I felt like was very polite and again, traditional. We were celebrating my birthday, and they pre-decorated our table a little bit! We got special print-out menus that said "Happy Birthday" and the table had a little bit of confetti on it! It was a nice gesture to be welcomed with. Our server, Michael, was great at being attentive (without being overly attentive), and providing recs/answering our questions. We went with the Crab and Lobster Napoleon for our app, the Ribeye to split, and a side of their famous Hash Browns. Everything was very good!! I will let the pictures speak for themselves, but all the food comes out hot, fresh, and with good flavor. I really do recommend getting the Hash Browns - it sounds a little silly to order such a dish at a steakhouse, but try it for yourself :) All dishes have a good portion size so keep that in mind when ordering! While not pictured, I do have to give a shoutout to the complimentary bread service - their bread is real good. Hot and fluffy on the inside, crispy on the outside. Try not to get full off the bread alone. For dessert, Bones surprised us with literally the tallest and thickest slice of ice cream cake I've ever seen! My jaw dropped. I love ice cream cake and it was awesome to be treated to some!! I already thought that the table decorations and the special menu were enough to recognize my birthday, but this is the generosity of Bones. I will absolutely be returning some day! If not for the amazing food, then for the equally amazing hospitality! Thank you Bones for a wonderful birthday! Note: Complimentary valet parking ONLY. We asked the valet person if we could just park the car but we weren't allowed to. Bring some cash for a tip.

The service has been great, and the waitstaff is super knowledgeable about their drinks and food. It's such a cool vibe inside, but it is very dark. It's kinda hard to see the menu - I wish they put small handheld flashlights on the tables. Multiple tables around us were using iPhone flashlights to see the menu which were so bright. The food is always incredible, and I'm partial to their seafood options. I've had both the snapper and the trout, and they were exceptional. Their cocktail menu is 10/10. Such unique combos of ingredients, but I've never had one I didn't love.

We snagged an early dinner reservation at 5:15 pm and surprisingly, people were already dining and they just got busier as time went on. We were greeted right away by our wonderful server (forgot her name though) and she asked if it was our first time there and if we were celebrating something. We answered yes to both and they actually brought us complimentary champagne, a sparkling non-alcoholic cider for me because I ordered a zero proof drink. Kimball House is known for their amazing bar program, so my husband ordered a Kimball House served with a side of olives and lemon twist on ice, like what?! I ordered a ginger & honey lime fizz to enjoy. For starters, we also enjoyed Hawaiian rolls, green salad and some oysters for my husband. The rolls and salad came out super fast, but there was quite a wait for our drinks and oysters that I didn't think they were going to come out. The rolls are a must-get here - they're huge and the strawberry preserve it was served with was delicious! The salad was actually split in half, which was a super nice touch and was plenty of serving between two people. We loved the dressing - it was nice and fresh. For our entree, I ordered a trout and my husband ordered the duck breast. I was a bit underwhelmed when I saw my plate because I was thinking it would be a plate full of grits, but what was served was the perfect amount because it was quite heavy. The trout by itself was too salty for my taste, but was best eaten with a bite of collards and grits. My husband enjoyed his meal, but wished the duck was cooked a bit more. For dessert, we both enjoyed a Paris Brest. Our server actually put it in twice so we each got one when she meant to only punch in one, but she ended up taking one off from our bill. I was quite shocked that our whole dinner was only around $190, not including tip, which I thought was quite reasonable. We definitely recommend this place for date night or simply for delicious food.

She was welcoming, talked about the restaurant, made excellent suggestions on all facets of the menu, helped with the wine selection and food choices and checked on us often. She is the true definition of service!! We started with cocktails and appetizers along with a bread basket. Don't skip the house old fashioned if you like bourbon. I even tried a mocktail and that was also good. Our first try with black bread. It was dense but tasty. The pimento fritters were crispy outside, creamy inside and complemented by the tomatillo jam. Calamari was perfectly done. Nice and crispy. The Caesar salad was freshly made with homemade croutons. I could go on about all the entrees but I'll leave it at this. Perfection. Not a miss among them. From the perfectly seared scallops, the duck breast or the blackened grouper we were all members of the clean plate club. We ended the night was a couple of the desserts and again winner, winner. This restaurant has been in Decatur for over 20 years and deserves all the accolades.

The valet attendant was extremely nice! He asked if we had eaten there before, told us about the specials, and made several recommendations. Our waitress was pleasant but didn't offer any suggestions -- the valet attendant was nicer and actually did more than the waitress. We started with the $7 truffle french fries (happy hour portion, 4-7pm). They were enough for both of us. Crispy on the outside and soft in the center, but there was only a light dusting of cheese on the top layer of fries. It would be better if it were sprinkled throughout the entire pile. The grilled filet mignon ($52) was not good. It looked like ground hamburger shaped into an oval and had hardly any flavor at all. The lobster ravioli ($42) was just OK and was surrounded by a thin sauce. The flourless chocolate cake ($11) was delicious, and the espresso martini was also good. So the mains weren't great, but the dessert and drinks were. There's plenty of seating inside and outside on the patio. The bathroom was clean. We made reservations, but they didn't seem necessary on a Thursday evening. After our drinks arrived, it took more than 45 minutes for the food to come out. The food itself was delicious. We had the half chicken and the trout. The ingredient quality is high, you can really taste it. However, the wait time was a bit too long, especially considering how empty the restaurant was. Aside from the long wait, everything else was good. I wonder if the delay was because we came shortly after they opened for lunch, but if they're open, the kitchen should be ready. Overall, the food is quite good, though the entree menu is somewhat limited, if excluding the pasta. If you're in the area, it's definitely worth trying.
