Beautiful Oasis! Simplicity at its finest, we entered the establishment on a Friday evening before the crowd arrived and we were NOT disappointed! Louis greeted us with smiles, we were seated and waited on right away. The rum punch was great, definitely a must try, as a vegetarian I was quite impressed with the menu. I order the Veggie Delight and it was all about the FLAVOR! No complaints on the Turkey wings either and the cabbage was amazing. The restaurants is beautiful, the vibe was a VIBE within itself. -LOL! I can't wait to catch a live show, we will definitely be back. Duluth needs this! *Public Parking Lot *Full Bar *Patio *Beautiful aesthetics *Great for Groups *Friendly Service *Tasty food- loads of Flavor -Check them out, you will not be disappointed

The appetizer was decent, been nicer if I could've sampled, what was on the actual brunch menu

Customer service was okay, but the food selection was extremely disappointing--especially since we were there to celebrate my daughter's birthday. When you go to a Caribbean restaurant, you expect certain staple dishes to be available, and many of them were not. We were told the limited menu was due to a party the night before. Unfortunately, that explanation doesn't help when you've planned a special occasion and arrive expecting a full dining experience. The lack of availability should have been communicated in advance. Overall, it was not the experience we hoped for for a birthday celebration, and I wouldn't return based on the limited menu alone.

Stepping into the Spice House was like entering a warm embrace. Sunlight, filtered through the windows. As the air carried a comforting aroma of cleanliness and fresh herbs. Soft R&B played at just the right volume, allowing for intense warmth conversion. A stone like wall dominated one end of the room, promising cozy evenings. Every detail, from the chairs to the stain tables and handcrafted wood earns in the building. The Spice House wasn't just a restaurant, it was an experience. The service enjoyable and friendly. Can't wait to come back and enjoy some great drinks and food. . Oh and thanks to Lewis for his suggestions.

I love visting a Spice House, so we went to Duluth and the aesthetics were there. Out server Easy was a pleasure. He made sure our food came out on time and was such a nice gentleman. I ordered the Crab Cakes for an appetizer 10/10 and for dinner you can't go wrong with the Rasta Pasta with Salmon... chefs kiss. Would highly recommend Spice House anywhere.

    Unexplained closure?!

I wish I could give 0 stars. This place ruined a very important day for us. My brother's 40th birthday was supposed to be held here on the 12th of July. We had the reservation at least 2 months in advance, multiple people flew in from other states and outside the US, and all showed up at 7pm to a CLOSED restaurant. No one let us know in advance that it was closed. No one was answering up to a week in advance when we called. It's just bad business and extremely unprofessional. To have 14 people (kids to older) show up to nothing, with no notice, is terrible. I won't find out if the food is worth it because there's absolutely no way I would ever come back here based on this alone.

Spice It Up does not play! Everything I ordered was so good…read more The Oxtail Dinner and Curry Goat are my favorites. If you've tried different West Indian/Caribbean restaurants, you know that both of those dishes can go very wrong if they don't know what they're doing. The serving of oxtail wasn't stingy at all and they gave plenty of gravy. The Curry Goat plate was great. I usually eat curry with white rice, but this time I got it with rice and peas. Very glad I did, because it went together perfectly. Their Mac and cheese is good - not the best I've had but a solid side. The plantain was fried perfectly too. Spice It Up is a great option if you're looking for a Caribbean food fix and you can't get homemade.

I visited this restaurant today after my daughter recommended it. She had brought me food from here…read morebefore, and it was all right, so I decided to return and try the oxtail meal because my son had been asking for oxtails and I had not made them at home in a while. The location is not close to us, so we drove a considerable distance to get there. When we entered, a gentleman greeted us. Because the menu listed the oxtails at "market price," I asked him how much the meal cost, and he quoted one price. Shortly afterward, a woman came over and told me that was not the correct price and gave me a higher price. I honestly should have followed my first instinct and left, but my son was hungry and we had already made the drive, so we decided to place an order. The woman allowed us to sample some of the food, and based on the sauce, it seemed acceptable. However, I was surprised to learn that an oxtail meal costing more than $30 only included the meat, rice and peas, and one additional side. Any other side was an extra charge. Most Jamaican restaurants I have visited include rice, meat, and two sides, especially at that price point. The container was also quite small for the amount being charged. After adding a beef patty and a drink for my son, the total came to more than $40. Unfortunately, the taste and portion size did not justify the price. I have had much better oxtails from another nearby restaurant that provides a larger portion and two sides for a better value. What disappointed me most was the customer service. The woman's attitude and demeanor changed when I asked questions about the pricing, portions, and sides. As a paying customer, I should be able to ask reasonable questions without being made to feel rushed or as though I am causing a problem. My overall rating would be approximately 4 or 5 out of 10 for the food, 0 out of 10 for customer service, and 2 out of 10 for the atmosphere. I was truly hoping to find a good, authentic Jamaican restaurant for the days when I do not have time to prepare Jamaican food myself, but unfortunately, this experience did not meet my expectations.

Ovations Caribbean Grill has got a solid line up of menu items…read more We had the: - Jerk Chicken (with rice and peas [stew chicken cravy], cabage, and plantains) - Curry Chicken - Jerk Pork - Jerk Ribs - Oxtail Mac n cheese - Veggie Patty From top to bottom: The Jerk Chicken is tender. Make sure you get extra Jerk Sauce though! The seasoning is decent and there's a low level of spice to it. I recommend mixing it in with a bit of rice for a bite (maybe a bit of juice from the jerk ribs as well). The rice and peas are fine, but the stew chicken gravy is the star of the show. I'd get extra stew gravy on top next time I come. The cabbage is nothing to write home about, but its good fiber and doesn't clash with the other flavors of the plate. The plantain was fine as well, nice and sweet and best eaten when you first get your plate. The curry chicken is tasty! (Tender aswell) It almost falls apart in your mouth and has a decent moisture to it from the curry. Its good by itself, with the rice, or eaten with some coco bread. The jerk pork is fatty and has a good jerk seasoning flavor (not spicy at all). Its probably the most tender meat they have and its good even after being reheated a short time. The jerk ribs were my favorite! The ribs come off the bone easy and the sauce that comes on them is the best jerk sauce in the restaurant. I definitely recommend trying them if you like jerk or pork. (For a fuller, spicy note of flavor, get the hot jerk sauce to dip or pour on the ribs.) The Oxtail Mac N Cheese is okay, but its nothing too special. There's less cheese in the equation than a typical American Mac N Cheese, but the Oxtail is pretty good. Fatty, soft to chew, and almost buttery, I appreciate the influence, but I'd prefer a cheesier and saltier version of this dish. The Veggie Patty was great! I think the patties are homemade as I've never had such a good vegetable patty. I'd come back for the patties alone! The coco bread we got sat for a bit so it wasn't as soft, but I suspect thay was my fault. TLDR; I definitely recommend this restaurant! Its a 4 to 4.5/5 considering what Jamaican food in Georgia typically tastes like. We had leftovers that were good the next day! Get a jerk pork, a patty, some jerk Chicken, and make sure you get extra jerk sauce and extra gravy for your rice.

I remembered that one of my cousins had brought me here before for food, so I was expecting a decent experience. Unfortunately, today's visit was absolutely disappointing. I placed an order for oxtails, but they were out of mac & cheese, collard greens, and cabbage. The employee also mentioned they only had one dumpling left. What I don't understand is how a restaurant can be out of multiple sides that are supposed to come with the meal, yet still charge full price. The meal alone was $35. My son wanted additional items, so I still ordered food for him, but because the side options were so limited, I decided not to order anything for myself. In total, I ended up spending around $45, and the whole experience was just very disappointing. I really could've just bought the ingredients and made the meal myself, but I've been busy working in the house and handling a few projects, and before I realized it, the day had already gotten late. That's the main reason I decided to stop and buy food instead. Honestly, I guarantee I wouldn't have spent nearly as much making the meal myself as I ended up spending purchasing it there. To make matters worse, the employee serving us came across very nonchalant and unconcerned, which only added to the frustration. Overall, this is not a place I see myself visiting again anytime soon, if ever.

It's a HELLLLLLLL NO for me!!!!!…read more Went in for a veggie plate, all prices are different from what the menu says! Mac & Cheese is not considered a side item, so for the veggie plate you can only get Rice & Peas, collards, Cabbage or plantains basically...... They were unsure about what kinds of fish is being served. Prices are whatever they feel the price should be that day and not according to the menu-LOL! Restaurant was super clean and empty. Service was pleasantly absolutely unsure, and I can't say what the food tastes like because I exited as fast as I walked in. Restaurants.... Do better, we work hard for our money and e have options.
