Carribean fiesta also tends to have different carribean fused meals that you won't find elsewhere. I like this place

The restaurant is open daily and you can order great Caribbean food for dine in or to go. They even are on apps like door dash but the vibe is so much better inside . They also have an outdoor patio if you don't want to sit inside Some nights they have special events and stay open late for a more party vibe. The staff is great. I really love the food at Ovations Caribbean Grill, especially the stewed chicken. I actually enjoy…read moregoing there on Sundays after church to get it because the food is delicious. Unfortunately, the inconsistent pricing and customer service around substitutions have become such an issue that I'm hesitant to return. The first time I ordered, I asked for all cabbage instead of rice. I was charged $22 for a plate that is normally $14 -- meaning I was charged an additional $8 simply for changing the rice to cabbage. The next time I went, I ordered the exact same thing: no rice, just cabbage, and my plate was $14. So I know it is possible to order the plate without rice without being charged that much. Today, I went in and asked for the same plate with no rice because I have a dietary restriction and do not eat rice. I was told that there was no option to get the plate without rice and that I had to get rice. That was frustrating because I had literally ordered the same plate without rice the previous week. What makes this even more confusing is that the restaurant's website lists an "all cabbage" option for $2.50, while DoorDash lists it for $3.50. So I'm genuinely confused as to why I was charged an additional $5 the first time I ordered all cabbage. I don't mind paying for a substitution, but the pricing needs to be consistent and transparent. As a customer, being charged different amounts for the same request and then being told an option isn't available when I've previously received it makes me feel like I'm being taken advantage of. I love the food, which is why I've continued coming back, but the pricing inconsistency has gotten to the point where I no longer feel comfortable spending my money there or recommending the restaurant to others. I sincerely hope management looks into this and addresses it with the staff. You have good food, but inconsistent and non-transparent pricing is going to continue to cost you customers. I would love to be able to come back and enjoy my Sunday stewed chicken without having to question whether I'm being charged a fair price.

The dry rice and fish it's self was not flavorful at all! The fish was extremely dry and tasted old. The sauce on top helped add some flavor , the spicy pepper sauce was extremely good wish I had more of that. I also ordered okra sauce as well, that had smoked turkey ,chicken and fish. The smoked turkey meat they used was VERY overwhelming and I could not eat any of it. I was super disappointed because okra sauce is my favorite thing to eat when eating African food. The lady that took my order was really nice, and inside of the restaurant seemed like a cool spot to have drinks and eat inside.

I LOVED the cassava leaves (I wished I had some of that spicy sauce to add to it). I didn't like the rice, but that's more of my personal preferences (it was just plain white rice, but it was the big thick rice. I like Jasmine Rice or madam gougousse). I would be open to trying something new on the menu or returning back here !

While still waiting, members of the staff were eating in front of us, seeming amused rather than concerned. After that kind of wait, it felt very disrespectful. Then, we were not told up front that an automatic 18% gratuity of $30.59 was added. There was also an extra $8.05 supplemental fee adjustment, which was never explained. Most concerning, we weren't shown the itemized receipt until after the card was already swiped. The subtotal was $169.95. With gratuity, fees, and tax, the pre-tip total was $222.78. Not knowing gratuity was already included, I added another $40.10 tip, bringing the final charge to $262.88. Restaurants can have tough days, but this was unacceptable. Please ask for an itemized bill before you pay.

They came with steak fries, which i'm usually not the biggest fan of, but they were fried crispy so I didn't mind them. The jollof rice also tasted good on it's own - not the best Naija jollof I've had (not spicy), but solid for a restaurant/bar. Our server was really sweet as well. Even though they're open for dinner hours, it's definitely mainly a bar/lounge based on the size and setup. I will warn - if hookah is not your thing, this isn't the place for you. Since it's pretty small in there, there's nowhere to really get away from the smoke or people who are smoking. I'd go back for dinner, but would make sure I'm out before ~11pm, which is when it seems to pick up in traffic and smoke.

I've been to a few African restaurants and this is by far my favorite. The food here is so flavorful compared to others OTP. My only con is that the music is very loud even when there's hardly anyone in the restaurant. I wished they'd turn the music down but I guess that is the culture here in Atlanta.
