The BEP corner is so good for a fast, casual meal! We came here with friends and will definitely be back! The menu is HUGE and has fusion from all countries so it's easy to find something for everyone. I got an ube coconut drink and then my fiance and I shared the popcorn chicken, steak lomo saltado, and their garlic noodles with salmon. It didn't take too long for everything to come out and portion sizes were HUGE! I would have never been able to finish a plate by myself lol I think even the app itself would have filled me up. I can't bring myself to order any other entree outside of the lomo saltado with noodles, egg and filet. That dish just has a wow factor you find very seldomly. I loved this restaurant and it may be my new favorite! The crab fried rice was incredible (I had the egg cooked well, and there was plenty of it), and the sauce it came with was delicious. The garlic noodles were packed with flavor, and the salmon had a perfect crispy texture. I actually preferred the salmon with the sauce since it balanced the lighter seasoning and paired really well with the bold noodles. I accidentally ordered the garlic wings instead of the cajun wings, so I'll definitely be back to try those next time. I think this place is a bit overhyped from social media posts. Let me explain: It's very small inside, the staff is limited to like 2 people and they didn't even have enough menus. We started with the steamed chili wontons, which were spicy, flavorful, and packed with juicy shrimp. For our main courses, we had the Bo Luc Lac chao and the Cajun Crawfish Spaghetti. The spaghetti was my favorite--rich, buttery, and midly spicy with plenty of crawfish and sausage. The Bo Luc Lac chao has medium-rare filet mignon that was well-seasoned and beautifully complemented by pâté, sunny-side-up eggs, Vietnamese sausage, and fresh vegetables. We also tried the Ube Coconut drink, which was refreshing and not overly sweet. Service was a 10/10 overall. The first time we came here, I tried their lomo saltado and substituted rice with garlic noodles. It was incredible! A bit too salty but soooo addicting! We had to come back for a date night. This time we got chicken appetizer and it was good. I got the Bep pho to see what the hype was about. Bone marrow in general tastes okay, with a fatty melt-in-your-mouth and decadent feeling. However, my biggest complaint are the portion sizes!! I got the garlic noodles with prawns, and it was ~$17. The price alone isn't the problem, but it's ~$17 for such a small portion!! They gave me a good amount of prawns, but they gave me so little noodles, I could probably hold it in one of my fists, and my fists are small. The garlic noodles tasted great, and I liked the kind of noodles they chose, but they really need to up the portion size if they're gonna charge that much. I was still hungry after finishing my plate :/ My other complaint is the pho. The pho is sad and relies too much on the bone marrow gimmick. A good pho can stand on the broth alone, and doesn't have to rely on the toppings. Their pho broth is light-- too light. I get people can prefer a lighter tasting broth, but a light pho broth can still be very flavorful. Their pho broth is on the verge of being completely bland. There's plenty of other great pho places in Duluth, Atlanta in general honestly, and this has to be one of the worst phos I've had-- which is a testament to how good the pho is in Georgia because I'm pretty sure there's worst phos out there than this place. read more

My wife and I stopped in for dinner and found that nearly everything we ordered (stir fried corn (tasted like canned corn), steamed chili wantons (good, but nothing remarkable), shrimp avacado salad (basic salad with supermarket-type dressing), and spicy laksa with chicken and a side of noodles (again, ok at best). We were super excited to try this spot as it was on Yelp's Top Spot List for 2024. Although the reviews were mainly about their beef and steaks, which I do not eat. I wanted to give them a fair chance. We got the dishes fairly quickly as it was quite empty for Sunday lunch. Parking is easy and plenty. We ended up getting their Spicy Schezuan Noodles with Prawns and Garlic Parmesan Noodles with Mushrooms. The dishes had a good presentation but unfortunately were a solid 6/10 for us. Either it was the MSG or the black pepper that lingered on my tongue the entire time but it was not a pleasant feeling. The spicy schezuan noodles was not the best blend of flavors. The prawns were great and big in size but the flavor wasn't there. The garlic noodles were better overall but again nothing exceptional. I've seen this place near the I Luv Pho that's in that huge plaza with the Eiffel Tower replica but never really had a desire to go check out an Asian fusion place. Until today... The BEP Corner is a quaint little 50 person seater that offers a fusion interpretation of Asian comfort food. They carried it all from pho to Korean beef soup to a Laksa dish. So why the three stars? I thought you loved pho (which is what I had). Pho requires a delicate balance flavors to get right which is indeed a tightrope walk. Too much of one spice or too much fish sauce and it's not going to be too comforting. The pho at BEP Corner lacks a very real depth to the broth that other Vietnamese pho joints offer. There was nothing of real distinct flavor to the broth. It lacked very necessary hints of cinnamon, star anise, or coriander. Were the aromatics roasted? What they do offer with their pho definitely doesn't skip out on the meats as they give you about 7 slices of brisket and if you upcharge for a couple of additions like the bone marrow or short rib, it adds even more meat which is a plus. I also decided to sample their popcorn chicken. It's not your average popcorn chicken though. The chucks of thigh meat are juicy and fatty and delicious. They also don't bread it with copious amounts of flour. It seems to be fried with their dry rub which gives it both a crisp while offering a huge burst of flavor to each morsel. I definitely dig their popcorn chicken. In terms of pho, go to the joint next door. For other items, give it a shot as their fried rice looks good as well as some of their other offerings. BEP Corner pho just isn't as bussin as it could... Other than that, this place isn't bad and worth trying if you're ever in the Duluth area... read more
