Definitely a less than enjoyable experience. I decided to place a curbside togo order to pick up some food for a relative who had just come home from surgery, as well as the family members caring for her. I pulled up to the restaurant and checked in about 5 minutes prior to the quoted preparation time and saw that all of the other curbside spaces were occupied with customers waiting for orders. After about 15 minutes I noticed that not only were the other customers not receiving their orders, but I had not received mine as well. I checked in again through the website and continued to wait. Another 10 minutes go by and I attempted to call the restaurant, only to be stuck on a perpetual hold. Thinking the food will be ice cold by now (if even ready), I opted to just go inside. To my surprise, the shop area was almost completely empty with the exception of maybe 3 patrons. I see several orders stacked up in the order waiting area near the cash stand, and one employee (Joella) standing at the register closest to the host stand just chatting away with a customer. The phone was just ringing unanswered. I stood for at least 5 minutes and she didn't even acknowledge me. Finally, hostess Carla (who I want to give a big shoutout to) came over and so kindly asked if she could help. After looking at the prepared orders, she saw that mine was just sitting there. She even called the server up who prepared it to confirm everything was correct, as two of my bags weren't labeled. The server (who I don't fully fault as her aprons had no stars, so she was clearly new) hurried up to the front and said "you don't have to check the bags, everything is in there". Fortunately I looked anyway, and saw that she had completely forgotten two of the meals. She apologized and went back to have them prepared. Carla was kind enough to double-check everything again. The server brought the additional meals back after several minutes, but still had forgotten the sides and had to go back again. So I was finally able to leave the restaurant after almost 45 minutes spent total. After putting my bags in the car, I came back inside and walked over to Carla. She so nicely said "did we miss something else sweetie?" I told her no, I was just coming to give her a nice tip since she was the only bright spot of the visit. Hopefully I made her day. I worked at a Cracker Barrel location during college and grad school, and I'm appalled at how the standards have fallen. There's no way we would've been allowed to be so lackadaisical back then. read more

Came here on a Sunday morning to find the line was very short and a handful of tables occupied. There's a large private parking lot and an extensive giftshop when you first walk in. We both thoroughly enjoyed our Grandma's Sampler French Toast Breakfast, Momma's Pancake Breakfast®, and hot chocolate. The sausage in ham was incredibly salty, but was balanced with the sweet pancakes and French toast. Eggs were cooked to my satisfied over easy level. Overall, we had a good time. Our waitress was kind, but didn't exactly go out of her way to check in on us. It was a very easy experience. Wouldn't mind coming again, especially given the fair prices! read more

Ten years since my last stop at this Cracker Barrel so maybe it's time for an update. We arrived here a little late as the Atlanta traffic slowed us down. We spent the night in their parking lot. Yes, Cracker Barrel tolerates RVers overnight with the kind ask that you please buy a meal if you can. As we had already eaten, and we left in the morning before they opened, it will have to be next time! We were not disturbed but this is not a very quiet neighborhood overnight. I waited at the hostess desk for approximately 5 minutes before someone finally showed me to a table. I waited about another 10 before being recognized by my server. I asked what time they began serving lunch and was told 10:30 as it was 10:45 I asked for a lunch menu instead of the breakfast menu. I ordered the open faced roast beef sandwich with mashed potatoes. After waiting a reasonable amount of time the server brings my meal. He has the sandwich and nothing else (who does that?) and tells me the mashed potatoes aren't ready. I was really looking forward to the mashed potatoes with the gravy from the sandwich. He asks if I would like another side while I wait for the mashed potatoes. I said I'll have the Mac and cheese. I'm trying to take my time as I really wanted what I initially ordered. He sees my coffee cup is half empty and says he'll be back in a minute. Thank goodness the waitress handling the next table saw I was on e and refilled my cup. When he finally comes back to my table I was finishing up my meal with still no mashed potatoes in sight. I guess he figured oh well and gives me my check. So I was really having an urge for some pancakes so at the time that I wanted them everything was pretty much clothes as far as diners go so this was my best option. I came in on the back half of the afternoon and I got seated immediately. I got great and when I walked in and got seated about 60 seconds later. If you've never been to a cracker barrel it has a lot of things in it that you could buy so if you want to do something, go for it. I don't mean like clothes even though they do have some clothing items so. But I mean more online lines of weird stuff like random types of candy and chips and holiday things. It's weird you just have to be here lol. When you are seated They'll bring out some rolls and some biscuits and they're actually pretty decent. When I come out warm you know you got a good batch Every year for homecoming we used to go to cracker barrel on a Sunday before we came home so I'm really used to dabbling in their country fried steak. We arrived at the restaurant yesterday, and we could tell they were busy. Our adventure started with the hostless (sloth speed and attitude) giving us one set of menus (breakfast, lunch, and dinner), so we had to ask for another set. We waited 20 minutes before the waiter came to our table and acknowledged we were there. Since we had been waiting so long, we ordered our beverages (water and tea) and food. We asked for a manager, and she explained a shift change had just occurred. I should also mention that we never got an apology from anyone. The manager did say that it was inexcusable that we didn't have any drinks. Several minutes after speaking to the manager, a table that came in after us got their food! At this point, we were 45 into this adventure, and we decided to leave. When I told the manager that we were fed up, she had a shocked look on her face. Shift change or not, this should NEVER happen to a paying customer. No food, no drinks after a 45-minute wait?! Lanier Parkway location. My husband and I both ordered hamburgers with cheese and fries. Waiter did not ask us about how we wanted the meat cooked so we had to run tell him this. A reasonable amount of time elapsed and he did bring our plates with only the hamburgers, no fries, said that would come later. Unacceptable. I said we really had to wait? He was just quiet. I placed a to go order online and needed to add to the order so I immediately placed another order. The pick up times were minutes apart. When I arrived, the first order was ready. I let them know I was there for 2 online orders. At least 4 employees asked me had I been helped. Everyone was nice but not helpful because I waited about 20 mins for the to go employee to help me. She was taking an order for someone who was on the phone and undecided. When she finally finished and went to get my second order, my first order was completely cold. She looked very frustrated as I can imagine. You have 3-4 other front of the house employees standing around while she had at least 4 customers waiting for to go pick up orders. Please come up with a better system. She needs back up help. A customer who ordered online and paid online should not have to wait 20 mins for an order that's waiting in the back. The other employees couldn't even check if it was ready. The only response I received was the to go person has to help you. Came here last week and it was one of the airstrip experiences I've had at a restaurant. We were quoted 15 minutes but seated about about 30 minutes later. After we were seated it took about 15 minutes for our server "Tahj" I believe that was her name. I inquired on if she had a preference on the cod which was the fish of the day or the catfish, & she looked at me and said no. No explanation, no empathy, no help with the menu. When we were being seated 3 other tables were seated as well, 1 in our waitresses section. We placed our order immediately since we weren't getting any help & we were famished. I placed an appetizer order for the cheddar bites & 30 Minutes later I was brought out casserole tots, which I did not order.. I had to find the server to advise of this & she just stared at me and walked towards our table. She picked up the tots & walked away I requested a manager at this point because she doesn't need to handle my food or get this tip money. I explained to the manager (an older black man with glasses) & he apologized & had a new server / manager assist with my table. Now this manager was a god send, truly. She's who you need on your team. Her empathy and willingness to make things right was So refreshing. She never bad mouthed the previous server or anything, but sincerely apologized for our experience. When our food came out it was wrong & cold. The shrimp was just batter The "sides" were portion size for children The Mac n cheese was bland and cold The catfish was good and crispy The cod was soggy and cold We ordered strawberry mimosas and the cups come half full & taste like juice. So when we (party of 4) get there we are seated immediately by the host but as she is setting down our menus this lady Renee and another lady began saying things to her like "i told you to stop doing that." I guess there was an issue with the seating and the servers but nonetheless it was embarrassing to us and i imagine to the host as well. When we are finally sat after Renee had to ask about 2 different servers whether it was their table or not, we are then seated without any server coming to our table for about 10 minutes. We actually tried calling for renee and she looked at both my sister and my dad straight in the face calling her, and decided to just walk away and ignore us. We had to eventually ask another server where our server was. The server who came to our table, i believe her name was Melissa, was fine. When my mother asked for a meal on the menu, Melissa had told her it was discontinued, which was fine. However, my mother then asked for another item on the menu and Melissa had told her she could not have eggs and meat. She didn't even offer to add it for extra or even an alternative, she just told her she couldn't get it. Melissa seemed new but there is a certain behavior that servers should exhibit. In mid-October, R and I came here to eat and ended up having a good dining experience. This Cracker Barrel location is conveniently located near I-85 and Jimmy Carter Blvd, and has its own large and free parking lot. When we came here for breakfast on a Saturday morning at around 9:30 am, there were a good amount of cars parking in the lot, but we were about to get a parking space right in front of the restaurant. Lots of inviting wooden rocking chairs line the long front "porch" in front of Cracker Barrel, but it was too cold outside and no one wanted to rock in the cold. Going through the doors, we found ourselves in the big retail section of building that featured holiday items in addition to items that fit into its country theme. The host station is at the back of the retail section. The host immediately led the both of us to a table, saw that it needed to be wiped clean, gave us menus and told us he'd be back to wipe the table. A woman, who we found out was our server a few minutes later, asked us if we minded moving to a nearby table that was already clean. We told her that we'd love a clean table, so she led us to the table. Even though the parking lot had a lot of cars parked in it, it didn't look like a lot of tables had customers sitting at them. That's when I realized that there were other dining area that I couldn't directly see. The country theme decor carried throughout the dining areas. Our server took our orders: I ordered Grandpa's Country Fried Breakfast, which had many options, but I decided on country fried steak with gravy, two scrambled eggs, hash brown casserole, biscuits and grits. This was actually a lot of food. The country fried steak was well cooked and crispy, but laced seasoning. The gravy was too thick and also lacked seasoning. The scrambled eggs, hash brown casserole, biscuits and grits were very good, and I recommend them, especially the hash brown casserole, which was cheesy delicious. R ordered a breakfast that included two over easy eggs, hash brown casserole, and two big pancakes topped with apple slices and whipped cream. He liked his meal but said it was too much food. Our server was quick, efficient, very knowledgeable about the menu, was full of helpful tips and suggestions and had a great wit. She was very busy, too, since she started out as the only server in our section and skillfully kept up with everything, including checking with everyone periodically throughout their meals. Come here with an empty stomach because the food portions are pretty big. Food prices were reasonable. Based on our experience, I would suggest coming here to eat breakfast. read more

Greatly disappointed in our breakfast. We've been coming to Crackle Barrel for years, and unfortunately I had such a bad experience, not sure when I will be back. I definitely try to give grace to establishments given the effects of the pandemic. Everyone is short staffed and trying their best. Our initial wait to be seated was only 10 min which was great, but once we were seated and ordered we waited 45 min for our food to come out and then it was cold and tasted as if it had been seating. You know the crispy, light pancakes, that Cracker Barrel is known for, yeah, well these were not them! So, I requested a new order of pancakes and our waitress was more than happy to give me another order, but my new order was burnt! Blackened pancakes! At this point I was done.. I decided to just eat my eggs and hash browns, and would you believe there was a hair in my hash browns. The waitress simply replied, "it's just not your morning". :/ She did get me a fresh order of food, but I was soo conflicted because, I really try not to be difficult, but I feel like an apologize or offer to comp the meal would of been appropriate. Neither was given. I'm sure our waitress knew that burnt pancakes were unacceptable or maybe there is a level of training and customer service that has not been achieved by the staff. Very Disappointed in store #28. I joined the waitlist through my phone at 11:09am on 3/23. Once I arrived at store I checked in around 11:20am and I shortly received a text message stating to head to the host stand around 11:28 am and so I did. I waited to hear my name but the call never came. Around 11:45 I asked the host what my wait time was just so she can tell me "my name was not on there" I told her she had checked me in and she responded with "no I didnt" I advised her and showed her I had received the text message and she continued to state that I was not on the list. Another woman, I imagine her superior, came close and double checked the tablet and told me she would sit me next. As I waited on the side the host continued to sit many other families. My family and I ended up leaving because my 2 younger children were hungry and this was such an inconvenience. What is the point of being able to check in ahead of time if the store is so unorganized. Food is good. The problem is that there are 40 empty tables, but they insist that everyone sit in the same four tables. We are not sardines. Give us space. Again, 40 empty tables, and they set the only child, very noisy child, at the table next to us. Instead of putting the mom and child at another table, they had to clean off the table, and put the child at one of the four tables they are repeatedly using. This location does not participate in discounts for Veterans or Active Duty Military, even on Veterans Day. The wait staff seemed preoccupied. The server that sat us was visibly and audibly upset that at chose to sit at a clean table. It's difficult to explain but she said something along the lines of "I'm going to sit you by the window" and made a pointing gesture. When I approached the section (she was at this point preoccupied with business elsewhere and NOT leading us to a specific table) I could see that two tables were dirty and one was clean. I sat at the clean one. We did not receive silverware. Other guests that were seated after us seemed to receive slightly better if not preferential treatment. I haven't been to a Cracker Barrel in years and have only been one time. My love hadn't gone to one at all. So we decided to grab dinner here around 430 in the afternoon yesterday, Wednesday. First of all we really enjoyed the rocking chairs outside - super comfy. They're for sale, but nobody stopped us from chilling in them before and after our meal which was nice. There's even checkers outside which we played after we ate. The country store is always a fun way to pass time and a great place to find gifts for the older generation or those with a taste for nostalgia. So many cool finds like Yankee Candle car air freshener, old school sodas and candies that you can't find anymore, the original Scooby-Doo cartoons/John Wayne/Elvis and other classics on DVD, lots of cool decorative items, and great gift ideas for Christian women and families. The restaurant itself was also a great experience for us. All of the staff that we encountered were super nice and down to earth. We ordered the country fried steak and fried chicken meals with biscuits and cornbread, turnip greens, mashed potatoes and gravy, steak fries, and mac n cheese. Everything was excellent. The country fried steak was only slightly overdone and a little tough but still good. The fried chicken was super tender and juicy. In terms of service, our waiter was super attentive and on it. My girl and I were on the way to church. We missed the 11am service, so I suggested we grab some lunch. I asked her what was in the area, and she said cracker barrel. Once she said that, as far as I was concerned, there was no other choice. We walked in and were told a 15-minute wait. Well, CB is just that good, so no problem. We probably waited 10 minutes and were seated. I wanted porch chops. However, sadly, they were only available on Saturday. I hate when business does that. This seems to be a practice some resteraunts follow after the pandemic. The young lady showed up and took our order. Since I couldn't get porch chops,I settled for ham,2 sides of HBC and pinto beans.. My girl had ham mac and cheese and turnip greens. She wanted dressing, but you know that ole we only serve that on certain days came into play. Our food showed up, was hot, looked appetizing, and was tastee. The waitress we had was not good, though. She took our order and brought our food . However, I didn't see her again until she brought our check. Luckily, a manager was walking through the resteraunt, stopped, and asked if everything thing was ok and if we needed anything. I pointed out we needed refills and that we hadn't seen our waitress. He quickly got the attention of a nearby waitress, and the issue was resolved. Yes, it was Easter Sunday, and it was busy. However, that was still unexcusable. That's why I gave 4 stars and not 5. I still left a tip,not as much as I would have if service had been better. CB is always a neat place to walk around if you have time, though. She was excellent. if you do happen to visit restaurant, I would ask for Mazique. another not so fun part of the experience was after we waited in line a older gentleman walked right in front of us and checked out. At 10am on a Monday morning, there was a 5 minute wait and this joint was buuusssyyy. I do this little jig in my chair when my bacon is done the I love it.. cooked but tender, not hard and teeth grinding. So the first try, it was hard, and the server immediately took at back after one look on my disappointed face. Came back with THE MOST PERFECTLY done my way strips!!! I was doing the jig in my seat. Then came my piece of red meat... and I was jigging again! The server could not help but laugh. Everyone's food looked sooo good. Unfortunately there isn't an establishment anywhere near my habitat. Stopped in for breakfast one chilly Wednesday morning. Place was packed. I sat near the fireplace - and ordered something that had a name like "Old Timer's Breakfast." There's a whole gift shop right as you enter so don't be confused. I was rather surprised since it wasn't expected. The portion sizes and prices were pretty good overall. I've never been here before; it's like an iHOP only with country food. Well, that's how the hubs interpreted it. I had the country fried turkey with macaroni & cheese and the green bean casserole. I suppose turkey would be healthier, but it really wasn't. You couldn't really taste the turkey as it was breaded and fried. They didn't add enough gravy atop the turkey so it was rather crispy and dry. It's overall not that bad and a pretty different item I've never had before. The hubs had the Cracker Barrel sampler with breaded fried okra, hash brown casserole, and the brussels sprouts n' kale salad. The sampler was pretty average in taste and value. The portion sizes were rather small in our opinions. But the brussels sprouts n' kale salad was da bomb! Perhaps because it was the healthiest thing?! If you get their crafted soda, you can get unlimited refills. The cane sugar was a refreshingly different taste compared to the fructose corn syrup. You can try the blood orange one time and the black cherry the other. There are also daily dinner features as another option. Firstly was a 40 min wait when the restaurant wasn't nearly full, got there around 6 didn't leave until 9 , only had 2 small orders . Then the waitress stuck her finger in our drink and on our food , we let it go didn't mention it , just cut off the corner off the food and didn't drink our drink . I asked for no bacon I'm allergic to pork; there was tiny bits of it in my entree and many pieces on my plate surrounding my food, didn't notice until I scooped some cheese that fell off my food to place it back on my food , was thinking to myself wow this cheese is crunchy and tastes different like smokey . Wouldn't of noticed until I saw multiple pieces of bacon surrounding my food . Side note : I also have certain health issues ; I have seizures if I eat chemicals (even canola oil will do it for me) , havnt ate out in months since these issues occurred , ((ate at Cracker Barrel earlier this month for Mother's Day to make her happy , planned on only getting the fruit salad , googled that they only use flour , buttermilk , and butter for the biscuits, decided to try a tiny bite because if I have a seizure atleast my mom is with me to care for me . Ended up not having a seizure ! So the only place I've been able to eat out at all year was Cracker Barrel. )) I used to just get biscuits, but got brave and found another side I'd like to try . No seizures but a good old allergic reaction . I got a wonderful seizure from my allergy medicine tho (: anyways that's not the worst of it , Cracker Barrel is known for its free biscuits , which was the main reason I came , nope the lady freaking charged for multiple servings of biscuits. That's like going to olive garden and not getting free bread sticks .Okay by now I was pissed . Trying to rush out before my allergic reaction caused my throat to shut and she took so long for the bill I almost died . I promise , my family would've sued til they shut down . Anyways finally got the stupid bill she left it quickly before I could tell her anything , went to the front to pay , my husband was trying to do it fast he told me to hurry to the car to get my allergy medicine, but I wanted an explanation I was telling the cashier what happened with my last breath and all she said was why I didn't tell my server, and how biscuits are only free with certain entrees , and I told her that's not true because my husband got the same dish as last time to where we got free biscuits. You would think she could refund it , nope she avoided eye contact and just gave us the bill , didn't ask our account for our rewards points , we forgot about it from almost dying , also a lady behind us threw in she had the same waitress and didn't see her once , basically standing up for me . Wild how the customers gave me more moral support than anyone representing this establishment. Fine the biscuits where your tip coming from , over charge us , your not the one getting paid for the biscuits, but you not getting a tip that was for you . Friends, this is a good Cracker Barrel! The store, as you know is SUPER packed with so much fun goodies to look at while waiting to be seated!! I love paroosing & find unusual stocking stuffers for my (now older) children... you can't find this stuff in Target!! The host was so pleasant & kind, he was multitasking & the smiles under his mask were awesome!! I walked up to place a to-go while I shopped. He told me he would get someone to help me & in a lickity-split a very nice young woman took my order; 4 veggie plate, comes with 2 biscuits & they even gave me a little bag of butter/jelly. They thought of everything & got it all right. The same woman found me & made sure I knew how to pick up & pay. Another older staff member kept running between the restaurant & store. Each time she had to walk by someone she was very polite, "Excuse me" & made funny jokes about the over-yet fun crowded situation. My cashier was SUPER sweet!! She had her hands over her ears. I asked if she had sensory over-load. That made her giggle!! OK, food was GREAT! Nope, no pics b/c I had to scarf before going back to work. Broccoli, amazing mac & cheese, crunchy fried okra & honey baby carrots! Really well done!!! So visit & enjoy! Masks worn by everyone & nobody complained about anything!!! Yay!!!! read more

Bad attitude and horrible customer service. I understand it is packed but a little communication goes along way. I wish I could say this is the first time but it's always like this. Zero stars if I could read more
