Been here 2 times in the last month. Service was good, drink really good. I ordered the prime rib, love a good prime rib. I asked for mint to be medium rare. It was closer to rare. Hubby ordered the ribs. Our sides were the sweet potatoes, cream corn and greens. The corn corn portion was a child's portion. Very small for the price. Really good but you need to order the shareable if you want a decent amount. Ribs were meaty and was told it was good. Still a decent place.

Onion rings outstanding

Start out with onion rings they amazing. Drizzle with honey. Prices are fair . Steaks a prepared perfect. Salads are on the small side . Must get the bananas, foster it never disappoints. You honestly could come here for appetizers and desserts, and have a wonderful time

Me and wife went for dinner for first time last night. The food was excellent and our waitress was awesome. We were visiting for our 20 year Anniversary and they gave us desert on the House. Will definitely be back to eat next time in Buford. We had reservations and was immediately seated when showed up. I would recommend reservations when waiting in line they were turning people away because reservations were full but did offer to take their number and call if someone canceled or was a no show which I thought was very nice. Would definitely recommend my wife had prime Rib and Lobster and said it was Great. I had bone in ribeye and was cooked perfectly and great flavor cooked over wood fire stove.

First off, I didn't have the noisy experience others had. We were on 3nd floor and reservations were a Saturday night at 5pm. We celebrated my husband's promotion with a feast at Bare Bones Steakhouse in Buford, and let's just say... we did not hold back. Historic vibes, indulgent bites, and the wildest onion rings--honey drizzle + Parmesan cheese?! Still full 24 hours later. But wow, what a night! #WorthIt #StillFull #Promotion #georgiarestaurants To top it off, one dessert was on the house, recognizing we were celebrating something!

Celebrated my best friend's 2yr marriage anniversary here. Not a bad experience but also didn't stand out at all. The service was great but the food just isn't seasoned enough in my opinion. 6/10

Nick, our server was amazing! Everything from the welcoming to the good-bye was awesome. The hostess recognized that this was a special occasion from our reservations, they sat us immediately. Our server was attentive and took the time to talk with us. The food was great. The fried lobster tail and scallops were AMAZING! The restaurant is in an old bank which is really cool, lots of old Buford memorabilia. 10/10. Would recommend, however...you may need to rob a bank to pay the tab!

We have been going to Bare Bones for Valentine's Day for the last two years. Their food is always amazing and the service is top notch! We love getting the onion rings and the sweet potato soufflé!

We had the tomahawk steak. The quality of the meat was great but the taste/seasoning was lacking which was disappointing given the cost.

The vibe is great. It was chilly in there. Service was excellent. We loved the bread they served, and the sweet potatoes, greens, and okra tasted so fresh and delicious. We had the tomahawk steak. The quality of the meat was great but the taste/seasoning was lacking which was disappointing given the cost.

Filet Mignon with à la cart side of fried okra. Pimento cheese appetizer.

We ate here the night before Valentine's Day. We put in a reservation and were seated on arrival. The food was excellent as always.

Brownie with brown sugar ice cream and bread pudding with ice cream.

Rooftop dinner. Got there about 3:30 on a Saturday. Wide open and plenty of views. Drinks came quickly. Great meal and service.

This restaurant is in a lovely historic building in downtown Buford. So much "Cow" Art on the walls. It tickled me. We had a 7:30 reservation. We were late. It was our anniversary and we went to see Dune Two before dinner. The restaurant was very accommodating. I thank them for that. Atmosphere is everything. The booth we were sat at was too small and sat "low" it was terrible. If you are going to have a fine dining ecxperiience the seating should be exceptional. This was not. Management and owners should rethink layout. Jessica was our server. Very attentive. The bathrooms have graffiti scratched into the wood. Puhlease. Sand the doors. Food was excellent. We had the Tomshawk ribeye. Collards. Baked potato. Green beans. I give you a 4 for food. I would order out the next time.

Ask the Community - Bare Bones Steakhouse

Will they sear the steak in a pan if you ask or do they only use a grill?

I honestly don’t know if they would use a pan but they are very accommodating and have cooked our steak “Pittsburgh Style” without their usual spices. I could only suggest you visit or call to inquire.

The host said it was to celebrate the spring season since they did a apres ski theme during the winter. So festive. Okay so boom, we came here on a whim since we were going to a concert in the area later that evening. Surprisingly it wasn't busy for a Saturday which I expected it to be. Unfortunately though they had upcoming reservations so we weren't able to sit in the main room. We sat in their second dining room which was off to the side but still decorated. Our service was still good and the waiter was very attentive. For apps, we got the She Crab soup. I would've preferred for the crab meat to be sprinkled on top vs. in the soup but nonetheless it was still delicious. Super fresh!! Omg. I even contemplated on switching my entree to the stuffed grouper to get some more crab meat. I ended up getting the Shrimp scampi which was a great choice. And let me tell you, they did not disappoint with the shrimp. 6 jumbo pieces. Omg. The entree was done pretty well and it was just the right portion size. If we had more time, I would've ordered their toffee bread pudding or the honey crème brulee but that's all the more reason to come back. Oh and order the It was all a dream cocktail. It tastes like vanilla. Done to perfection.

My birthday is Christmas week and I typically don't go out as I simply would rather not have to deal with the anticipated crowds. It was indeed crowded (on a Tuesday!) but my experience is one I'll never forget. She had made reservations and so to save a bit of time, we did valet parking. And from the friendliness of the valet, to the near immediate greeting and seating upon arrival, Seasons52 truly made my birthday special. I honestly can't give enough kind words for our server Tori - she was a genuine treat! Professional, attentive, kind ... just a beautiful soul. Please acknowledge Tori for the kind human being that she is and the wonderful service she provides. And my steak - the 8 oz. filet - oh my! Easily one of the best I've ever had! Perfectly cooked and seasoned. I savored every bite! Even the young guy at valet parking (wish I had gotten his name) was attentive and pleasant. I left them both nice, FAT tips with the hope that I made there day just as much as they made mine. They were even intentional about thanking us for our visit as we were leaving. Thank you so much Seasons52 for making my birthday a memorable one!

To their credit, the staff did apologize and replaced the meal, and also offered a Caesar salad. However, the salad itself was not good and didn't really make up for the situation. The replacement entrée was fine--it tasted good--but by that point the experience was already affected. For a place like this, you expect a higher level of quality control and attention to detail. While they did try to fix the issue, finding something like that in your food is hard to overlook. Overall, just not the experience I expected for the price. Only good thing was my server he was excellent, I wish I could have remembered his name.

Everything we had, had wonderful flavors and it all paired so well. We were given a gift certificate by our realtor last year and waited for a special occasion since we were told it is pricey. Valentines seemed like the perfect time and it was! Made reservations several weeks before opting for the 13th of February and at 5 pm in hopes of avoiding the crowd. It worked. We arrived and were seated promptly in what they call the Al Capone booth which was for two and tucked towards the back wall which was cozy and private except much later the table across from us which looks out toward the table we were at, 4 people were seated. It wasn't a big deal as they were busy talking with their group. Our waiter was Jason (I hope I'm remembering his name correctly) and he told us he was fairly new. Great waiter, engaging with us, gave us excellent tips on the food choices, how things were cooked especially the steaks, which cuts would be best for us according to our tastes, very attentive our entire meal, didn't rush us through our meal and told us what to expect with the dishes we chose. Now we share our meals and opted for a 16 oz steak which my husband finished his half and I brought 1/2 of my 1/2 home along with much of our side dishes. I guess that means each side comes with a lot of food. We ordered the sweet potatoes, which was incredibly delicious, nice and soft on the inside and a bit crunchy on the outside. They have a caramel flavor bc of caramelized. Oh sooo scrumptious. The asparagus were nice a large and once again the flavor on them were delish!! Our steak came out on a plate by itself bc Jason said the chef likes to show the beauty of it. I agree, simple, but the steak on its own looked grand. It was cooked to perfection, so juicy and packed with flavor. It melted in our mouth. Worth every cent. The mushrooms along with the sauce flavor we chose were a perfect combo with our steak. The steak on its own was amazing but the mushrooms were delicious with the steak. The incredible rolls they serve are to die for. Light, fluffy and down right a perfect accompaniment to our dinner. My husband enjoyed his wine choice with Jason's recommendation. I had Jason take back my Lemon Drop Martini because it wasn't to my taste, just a bit boozier than I enjoy. The second time was much better. The manager Peril came to our table and introduced himself. Told us about the history of his restaurant and was a kind man. We talked with him about being from CA. Also how his restaurant being located in an area you'd never imagine having such a great restaurant would be was awesome. It's in this small strip mall right off Meadow Drive amongst other small shops. Not very grand looking on the outside but very nice and lovely inside. Very intimate feeling in the booths. I did notice they have a small bar area which was packed as well as small tables in the area. The parking lot is not very large with some handicap parking spots. Quite large inside with outdoor seating within a tent covered area with windows. We definitely will visit again, on another special occasion. Everything and everyone was GREAT and ever so tasty.

Now for the review I HATE giving out 5 stars and was looking for a reason or excuse to knock them down to a a 4.9, but found NONE. The night was perfect. We were there to celebrate a birthday. As I included myself in the "Powers" reservation for four people, I insisted on paying for my own meal. PLUS knowing that my chances of eating there again were slim (visiting from San Diego), I wanted to splurge and indulge. :) I had the 8oz filet (cooked medium) with blue cheese crust, accompanied with 2 pan seared scallops. Oh my God! The steak was cooked perfectly. It had a nice sear while remaining perfectly cooked in the middle. I judge a restaurant/steakhouse by how well it cooks it's scallops. HAVEN eaten many, I know they are easy to mess up. Some places either over-cook them, or don't clean them well. However, these may have been the best I ever had. Cooked perfectly and with full flavor. The group raved about the loaded mashed potatoes and dessert. THE MEAL was awesome. understanding that everyone's experience there will be unique to them, "I" highly recommend you visit this place to have your own experience. I hope in the future I get to eat there again. THIS PLACE IS KEN HARMON APPOVED.
