We didn't have a reservation, but they were still able to accommodate us. Yay! The space looks like an old bank, complete with a vault inside. It's small but cozy, with enough room for groups. Definitely works for date night too. What we ordered: Premium Ribeye Fried Porkchop Grilled Porkchop Creamed Corn Sweet Potato Suffle Collard Greens Everything was tasty, well‑seasoned, and genuinely mouthwatering. The ribeye was juicy and tender, and both porkchops were cooked beautifully. Portions are generous ~ our companions even took home half their meals. The Sweet Potato Suffle ended up being one of our favorites ~ the marshmallow on top makes it feel almost like a dessert. Warm, sweet, and comforting without being overly heavy. I'd come back just for this. Our server took care of us, checked on us in a timely manner. Parking is limited in front, but if you don't mind a short walk, you can find spots a little farther out. Looooved the sweet potato soufflé!! I had to request to put the toasted marshmallow on top because it didn't come like that & the pictures showed like it did. I had the ribs, nice size portion and flavor was good. I ate with my fork because it was very messy!! My bf had the steak, it was very juicy and he enjoyed it. The flavor was good but again- when a steak is juicy you can look past everything else!! Service was great!! Absolutely loved our server. Atmosphere was a little noisy but dim lights made it cool. We ate there in the last week on a weekday evening. It was not their best showing. Service was solid, prompt, friendly, and informed. Appetizers (cauliflower/mushrooms) were excellent! That seemed to be where the good times for the quality of food stopped. I had prime rib and in all fairness it seem to be an ample portion. But when it got to the table it was not really that warm and it actually looked like it was a cut of me that had been sitting out for a while, it didn't have that fresh cut with juices running out of it look the prime rib can have when it's really done well. Rhe taste of it really wasn't at the quality of a standard prime rib seems to typically be known for. I can say that the cream corn is excellent as were the fries. The burger that was also served at the same time seem to be kind of marginal in terms of quality of taste. Based on the entrees we decided to skip dessert and skipped coffee, which I really really skip at the end of a meal. We visited for dinner on a hot day without reservation and were seated on the outdoor patio, even though there were plenty of empty seats inside. We ordered Spinach Artichoke Dip, 2 Ribeye prome steaks, 1 Filet Mignon prime steak and a kids Ranch hand steak. Our sides were: Mac and cheese, garlic mashed potatoes, and mashed sweet potato. This is by far a great location to visit. It's a restaurant built inside of a bank. You can even have dinner in the repurposed vault. It's has a rich history, so while you're enjoying a drink and waiting on a table, you can tour the restaurant. You will learn about the basketball court that is on the second floor as well as the various changes the restaurant went through before becoming Bare Bones! The food is exemplary and the service is impeccable. We typically visit there for Mother's Day and or Birthdays etc. An avg price of a meal with no drinks about $40-$50. Me and wife went for dinner for first time last night. The food was excellent and our waitress was awesome. We were visiting for our 20 year Anniversary and they gave us desert on the House. Will definitely be back to eat next time in Buford. We had reservations and was immediately seated when showed up. Went to the rooftop to have drinks with friends, and unfortunately, this was one of the worst service experiences I've ever had. Our server, Taylor, forgot to ring in our friends' food entirely. He did come back to admit the mistake and offered them dessert or the option to reorder, but it was a frustrating disruption to the evening. I ordered a second drink, and instead of placing that order, Taylor misunderstood and assumed I wanted my first drink remade--despite my clarification. The second drink never arrived. When we paid the tab and headed downstairs, a co-server was waiting at the bottom of the stairs claiming we owed an additional $36. It was awkward and humiliating. After rechecking, of course it turned out we didn't owe anything. To make it worse, the food that was supposedly never rang in was actually on our bill. To top it off, earlier in the evening, that same co-server that was waiting at the bottom of the stairs, found a used Keurig coffee pod on the floor behind my chair and bizarrely placed it on the table next to me, asking if I had dropped it... What??? The manager didn't seem to have a handle on the situation either. I understand that mistakes happen and we're all human. It's been several years since I have been here....and it was because we didn't enjoy it before. Tonight did nothing but reinforce the fact that this is a sub par restaurant. Decor and ambiance are nice. That's it. I ordered a Filet without bacon (wrapped). Why put pork on the best cut of beef??? Well, they couldn't figure that out in the kitchen and still sent a filet out with bacon. So I sent it back. They were to cook a new steak....it took 20 minutes for the new steak to come out. Mean while, my son ate his ribeye and my wife at a little of her way over cooked and dry salmon. Finally, my steak comes out. I cut into it and it was so rare, the middle was cool to the touch. Where the execution was sub-par...our large party sat upstairs where the tables were plastic, folding picnic tables covered with a white table cloth. It was our anniversary and we went to see Dune Two before dinner. The restaurant was very accommodating. I thank them for that. Atmosphere is everything. The booth we were sat at was too small and sat "low" it was terrible. If you are going to have a fine dining ecxperiience the seating should be exceptional. This was not. We were very torn on our appetizer between the onion rings, fried pickles and fried green tomatoes. We went with the onion rings and what a pile of onion rings it was lol! The bartender made excellent cocktails and it was an unseasonably warm evening so it was really nice. The staff were all great. For dinner we were seated on the second floor which used to be a basketball court and the backboard and basket are still present. Thankfully it wasn't loud. I had the prime rib which was delicious. The owners of this restaurant also own the Atlanta Meat Market so we all went with steaks. We had the onion rings, artichoke dip and fried green tomatoes for appetizers. We went to Bare Bones last night (Saturday) to celebrate our anniversary and we were absolutely blown away. Not only was our server, Dylan, very polite but also extremely helpful with any questions we had. We chose the Fried Mozzarella as an appetizer and for the entrees, I decided on the Pan Roasted Chicken with a baked potato and my partner got a rare Tomahawk with both a baked potato. We also had fries to share, just to try them. Not only was everything great, but his steak was cooked perfectly. Dylan actually went into detail with more information about the steak once it was brought to him. He ate all of it and he was given a shirt for finishing it! They're so light and crispy, glazed in honey and sprinkled with red pepper flakes and finished with fresh shaved Parmesan. They're absolutely incredible. The spinach dip is delicious as well! I had the bone in prime ribeye and my partner had the Hawaiian ribeye. Our sides were asparagus, sweet potato soufflé, fried okra, and fries. We also sampled the macaroni and cheese which was super cheesy and creamy and topped with bacon! We enjoyed everything. The sweet potato soufflé was delicious, topped with house made marshmallow! The asparagus was grilled to perfection and the okra is fried with pieces of battered onions. We were so stuffed by the time we finished everything else that we essentially forgot the fries -- but they looked delicious and you get a GIANT portion for only $4! This was my first time visiting this establishment. My wife and I had a 4pm reservation and we were seated right away when we got there. The waiter was a very nice man that gave us info about the building and how it was once a bank and showed us the vault that is still there that holds a 12 person table for bigger groups. We started with the spinach artichoke dip and it was great. I had the rack of lamb which was cooked perfectly and came with mashed potatoes and I choice the green beans which were very good. This place has a great atmosphere, great service and great food. They also have a roof top dinning area in the warmer months to enjoy as well. read more
