Wow where do I start?!? The decor is modern and lovely. Very contemporary but yet rustic. We had reservations and was seated as soon as our table was ready. We were greeted by our dinning coordinator when we sat down. She was great gave us recommendations. We ordered our drinks and they came in a reasonable time. We were offered bread service which was exceptional. All house made and delicious with their butters and sauce. We ordered the charcuterie board with bone marrow and the lobster special. The charcuterie had many cheeses, fruit and a delicious decadent bone marrow. It was delicious with their bread. The lobster we shared with the 5 of us, that's all you needed. It is very rich and comes with a rich sauce and caviar. Needed to box up the board, since it was large. Order the scallops, salmon, shrimp cocktail and salad, the filet and the ribeye. Ordered the corn, lobster Mac and the mushrooms. The corn was the favorite, roasted, charred, and in a great sauce. The lobster Mac was over the top with lobster and took home 95% that we shared with my daughter and still fed 4 people as a side. Warning- sides are large! My scallops were delicious and cooked perfectly but I thought it came with purple potatoes but I got sweet potatoes. Wish the dining coordinator would have said something. The steaks were perfect except the med looked more raw. The steaks were delicious and very large even for their side. We took most of our mains except the steaks and the way they packaged them included garnish and even ice for the shrimp cocktail. Thanks Nicole our dining coordinator! It was my birthday and they brought out the most delicious cake. Housemade, white chocolate with raspberry with whipped cream. Excellent. I have to say we will be back. It's definitely worth the price. I am a chef and have owned a restaurant so I know all the effort and work it goes into creating a wonderful experience and this is it. Really surprisingly great for being so far out of the city {well atlanta} Tucked in downtown Gainesville this steakhouse is up there With top ones. As frequent visitors of Rathbuns and Hal's in Atl our bar is high and this didn't disappoint. Steak options were great and cooked to preference. The homemade breads and butters they hand out are exceptional and you gotta be careful not to eat too many and not leave room for food. We loved the ribeye , scallops, Brussels, mushrooms , and pretty much everything we tried was solid. Visit here now every time we are up at the lake and want a nice dinner. I want to preface this by saying that restaurants at this price point are held to an impossible standard, perfection, nothing less is acceptable. That out of the way, the restaurant itself is stunning, absolutely gorgeous! We arrived at 5pm on the dot, waited across the street for opening (per yelp's hours of operation). There were already a couple of people at the bar and one table sat. The hostesses were both very welcoming and sat us quickly. Our section was ran by two sisters and we were having a lovely time! Bread service included a sun dried tomato focaccia and some yeast rolls with 2 butters (one salted and one sweet) and an oil and vinegar dip. Excellent! For an appetizer we chose the pork Belly with Brussels. I liked it. Hubby felt it was too sweet but still ate all the pork out of it while I worked mostly on the Brussels. For our meal we shared the special, a Cowboy Ribeye with scallops and selected the Calabrian butter to accompany. The steak itself... we were offered salt and pepper, we said no but upon taking bites wish we had. The steak was cooked to the perfect temp. I like mine rare, hubby likes a little more to render the fat, we went with medium rare and they hit the mark. There was a nice char yet the inside was still very juicy. Neither of us felt it had much flavor though. And this is where, at this price point, I need something to really stand out. Atop the steak (since we chose scallops) were our scallops and on top of that a bulb of roasted garlic. Yum and yum! Since we were sharing and because I wasn't sure if I'd like the Calabrian butter (which when you select an accompaniment/topping it usually comes on top of the steak, likely why the steak may have seemed to lack flavor, as the variety of butters would influence the outcome) we had the Calabrian butter served on the side. The presentation was beautiful! I actually didn't care so much for the Calabrian butter with the steak (hubby did) but it was phenomenal with the scallops, absolutely perfect pairing. Now we're at $240 without alcohol. And this is where I had to knock a star. Again, at this price point, everything must be perfection! Along with the steak lacking a bit of flavor, the pork belly being too sweet for hubby, I didn't care for the way the "shared meal" was presented. In other fine dining establishments, when we would share a dish, we've had some really creative ways they have done so, from pre slicing the steak (chateaubriand style and placing it in the middle offering us both clean plates) to plating two separate dishes out of one for us, there are ways to do this. Instead hubby is awkwardly splitting the platter and divvying out a portion to my plate across the table. I'd expect this at a chain steakhouse, not at fine dining where service is paramount. Additionally, at the end of our meal, I asked for a to-go cup for the rest of my tea. She asked me to wait as she had just been sat a table next to us, and then another got sat while she was working that table. Understandable. So we waited, and waited, now it's getting awkward, by the 3rd time she came back to our section without my cup, we just got up and left. It felt like once we payed we were no longer relevant, even though we left a hefty tip as up to that point the service really was great. Had this been a chain, my expectations would've been on the floor. But this is clearly a restaurant that's shooting for Michelin stars, which I believe they could earn, but to do so, again, absolutely nothing can go wrong, there is no room for error or even the implication of anything less than stellar. Came across this place one day walking by and since then have been curious to try it. Made reservations on Valentine's Day. At first glance, it looks very nice outside, you can even see the dry ager with the beef and salt blocks! Inside is nice, bar area, clean bathrooms. Staff was very helpful! I got the dry aged bone in New York, which was good but they left a lot of the hard dry parts which was unpleasant. Got it medium but looked a little over cooked. Comes with their homemade steak sauce which was very good. Wife got the rib eye which was tender and well cooked! We shared a side order of lobster truffle Mac and cheese and was super flavorful and plenty of lobster meat. Roasted bone marrows where rich and wonderful! Oysters where fresh, complimentary bread. Drinks also good. They say they have a dress code but didn't really seemed to enforce it lol. But overall would try it again and try different items! read more

Finally tried this place for our anniversary. We got the 28oz bone-in NYS and added seared scallops and lobster. The sides were ordered were grilled mushrooms, street corn and roasted cauliflower. The bread they brought out was outstanding as well! They've got several varieties of butter that you really should try. This very well may be our new favorite steakhouse! read more

I have now dined at this restaurant twice, once the weekend they opened, and again this evening for a special occasion. Both times, the service was incredibly slow and inconsistent. The restaurant decor is stunning. Tonight, I arrived at 5:45, which was 15 minutes before my scheduled reservation. When I arrived, both hosts refused to seat me and told me that "I would have to wait for my reservation time." What was unreal was that the entire restaurant was empty with literally only one table seated in the entire establishment. I was told to wait at the bar. I told the bartender that I had a reservation and he also was puzzled why they didn't seat me. Supposedly the hosts told the server that our server had just gotten her first table and they didn't want to overwhelm her. Both hosts were not hospitable and frankly rude and did not exercise basic customer service. There were multiple other servers with no tables that could have taken our tables if that was the issue. Not a great experience at all when you first walk in the door. The service the first time that we came was horribly slow, but gave them the benefit of the doubt as it their first weekend. The server also clearly was not well trained and did not know the menu. Tonight's experience was very similar with a friendly server, but she disappeared for most of the evening, leaving empty drinks, we were left without silverware for two different courses, and the entree steaks took forever to even come out. The steaks had zero flavor. The corn side was tasty as was the bread service, but the bread was very cold. For the prices at this place, the quality and flavor should be commensurate with the high prices. I went to the bathroom, and there was literally neither soap nor paper towels to even use. The "manager" appears on the floor but doesn't even engage with the tables except 1 or 2. Both times he never even came to our table, and the first time we dined there, he was outside the front door for extended periods of time. This restaurant is majorly overpriced, with very poor service. I will not be returning, nor can I recommend. It's a real shame as I was quite excited about this place opening. read more

I finally got to try the restaurant for a birthday celebration. While waiting for our table, I had an amazing espresso martini. All of the cocktails looked amazing. The filet was cooked perfectly and I highly recommend the seafood tower. And I can't forget the yummy bread service. Our server was kind enough to let to sample several wines to go with my dinner. The noise level was quite loud but a great many restaurants these days that have concrete floors don't add any dampening to the ceiling so this is common. The service was excellent. All the food was excellent except for the dry aged steak. The steak was cooked until black, black, black on the outside and it was way overcooked. I ordered medium-rare and got something between medium and medium well. I should have sent it back but that tends to ruin the experience completely. I can recommend going to this restaurant but stay away from the dry aged steaks. read more

Had an excellent experience tonight from start to finish. They made a custom cocktail for my wife and had a great bourbon selection. The food was outstanding and service was great! Highly recommend the bone marrow starter and lobster truffle mac & cheese. The wet aged prime ribeye was exceptional- perfectly cooked, the roasted garlic on top was a nice touch. First I must say that we will be going back! I took my daughter and son in law for a special evening and heard great things about this new hot spot!
