I recently had my family there for a gathering of the mothers in our family aka Mother's Day. To rate this place at 2 is being generous. We were a party of 6. Of the six only one dared venture to having a steak. My son ordered a burger with fries. When it arrived he mentioned ed to the server that his plate looked dirty. ( food stains from nothing he had on his plate.) The server related that it was the the cooks dragging steaks to the plates and that they were not very careful. The burger came without the fries which we had to have brought out. The rolls were average but enjoyable however we requested regular butter in place of the special honey butter. This request was put in 3 times before recieving only one cup for 6 people. The restrooms were some of the worst I have seen in a restaurant. The smell of urine so strong it was gagging and burning to my nose. I have been in better sleazy truck stops. !! Happy Mother's Day. read more

Been here a few times and this spot is pretty good! Place was clean and were seated pretty quick. Server did forget out silverware so had to ask! Ordered a French onion soup and was very good! Daughter and I had steak which was cooked good but underside of steak was missing some grill marks. Wife ordered Alfredo pasta with shrimp and chicken but said had too much pepper. As busy as the restaurant was when my family arrived (four people) we were sat at our table within ten minutes and greeted by our server (cannot remember the gentlemen's name) and he was very attentive and respectful. Atmosphere was fine per the usual, and all of our food came out timely. Here's where the trouble began. After ordering a 16 ounce sirloin MEDIUM temp it came out raw with unrendered fat lines and solid pink meat. My server promptly took the steak back and had it re-fired. After receiving my steak for the second time it came out a proper medium. But it also came out dry as could be and tasteless, only being able to taste the grill char. The manager took my steak off of my family's bill which I was thankful for. By this time of dinner my entire family had already finished their meals but the manager insisted she fire another steak quickly and give it to me togo. I agreed and was thankful for the opportunity to finally get my meal. Once my steak finally came out in its togo container I cut into it to check its temp and this was even more rare then the first go around. Completely raw in the center and a hell of a long way from MEDIUM. This isn't a thick cut steak, just large in proportion. I and my family left the restaurant, my family full and happy with their meals. I left hungry and have only had a piece of bread and side salad. The cooks need more practice cooking steaks. I'm not sure how you mess up TWO orders of the same steak, worse the second time than the first. Dinner rush must have gotten the best of them tonight. read more

Losing a star for two mini-errors. First, a dish was not removed before we paid. We were just discussing how expensive the meal was when the waitress poi ted it out. (The table pay thingee got us before she took it off). We did get the equivalent in gift cards, or they offered to rerun it. All good. But the reason there was an extra dish was that they could notbserve their prime rib rare. That was a big strike for me, though the ribeye that i did get was an excellent pittsburgh rate. We ordered the Outback Downunder Trio and small ceasar salad for lunch. When I say it was horrible, I mean it in any other language possible, horrible!. The bloomin' onion was very salty & fried black, the french fries, covered in cheese were not fresh and could be considered cheese with leather bits, not real bacon. The mozzarella sticks were air sticks. There was nothing to fry. I'm not sure how they were able to get breadcrumbs to fry, but they did. The "chef" and I use the name lightly, was most likely a magician in his former life! The Caesar salad dressing was the worst that I've ever had. Party of 12, made a "reservation" earlier in the week reservation is used loosely as its more like calling ahead. When we got here we were told that there was a 20 minute wait and that essentially we get out ahead in the line. This info would have been nice to know prior to us arriving. So if you're looking for strict reservations, they do have them so plan accordingly. After we were seated, everything was smooth from there. Our waitress was amazing! Very attentive and proactive, which can be a rarity! Didn't take many pictures. Not the optimum place for a plant based diet but I knew that coming in. Basically, regular fries, plain baked potatoes, fresh veggies (no butter) and salads (minus the cheese and croutons - stick to the vinaigrette dressings) available for us non-meat eaters. Headed to the mountains for a day trip and enjoyed a pleasant drive north of Gainesville around the lake. Spotted an Outback and decided to grab a bite to go. We arrived at 11:30 to find we ordered from the wrong restaurant and our lunch was waiting 30 minutes away at another store. After sitting in traffic due to a wreck we obtained our dinner around 2:30. The steak was delicious and the cheeseburger was still warm. My husband S.... A.... Was training at this location hired by Amanda and John; they sounded like customer service polite people and to our surprise because they have a. App to see the schedule Mr. John called to verify that he knew that he was supposed to be there this morning at ten. This morning my husband showed up early as usual he has been battling with depression due to losing his brother last year on May he was only 37yo; he lived in Portland his name was Randy due to fentanyl overdose. My husband has been medicated with several things including CBD and when we go to Court we will provide them with all the details. Today they told my husband that they did not want to continue with him being a part of Outback due to breaking 700.00 US Dollars worth of plates in 4 shifts. My family owns two restaurants and at Restaurant Depot the plates go from 2-7 a piece and the most expensive ones are 10 a piece. All of this information and which plates they use can be obtained is public knowledge. Let's play pretend that the plates were 10 US Dollars a piece he would have had to break 70 of the entree plates in 3 shifts. There were a few glasses that were broken too no that many and we are all aware of how much pints, wine glasses, etc could cost. Due to personal experience having two Restaurants in the area but working full time for the Judicial Government of the United States Of America we are in a recession and most restaurants in extinction such as Outback are cutting corners to allow prices to go down because between Rent, Payroll, bills, etc the P&L is hard to be in the positive numbers. Due to HIPPA my husband did not have to explain that he has been battling depression successfully although tonight he came home and tried to take his own life. We were able to stop him with the Family Doctor, the Therapist and the family support system put in place. They didn't have to give him a reason to let him go, in GA it's not needed but they decided to lie in the amount of plates he broke, exaggerated the amount of money that he had costed him and made him feel awful. He applied for a very simple position. Dishwasher usually drug addicts or illegal aliens cover those roles. Restaurants don't run background checks and therefore they become a Safe haven for all of those that are going through a tough time, or they have a rough life. My husband is happy to provide an observed drug screen if needed. I just want to let everyone know what kind of people owns the place and what kind of people runs the place. I called to communicate that my husband was being treated and they gave him a clonazepam 2mg to calm the anxiety triggered by these liars that not sure if because they are inane or nefarious was conveyed to him as the reason of deciding to discontinue his work. We never know what people are going through in their personal life and that is why managers train to be conduits of bad news in the best possible way. Lying is never a good way. I will battle you in Court and in Social Media until this issue is resolved. You almost costed a life, my husband's life of 12 years. Someone who overcame addiction, that got a ged, that is even considering going back to school but what he needed what a simple job at the moment and to my amid aversion I almost lost him today. Please be respectful, you hung up the phone on me John twice before I could tell what was going on, I was hung up 4 times until a lady with an authoritarian tone of voice but willing to listen just with complete lack of empathy I had to let her her know that he was doing ok. Apparently once they let him go he stopped being a human being to them. I plan on subpoena cameras, conversations if any were recorded, people including Sam the girl that answered the phone and continued to put me on hold and then John from behind as as less of a man just told her just hung up on him; before I was even able to tell them without anger but with reason that their action almost costed me my other half, who I planned my life with, my vacations, my retirement, but more than anything our family. I worked with Judge Margaret Gregory many times doing first appearances and one day I asked if in between my Juvenile cases I had with Judge Diaz, Burton and Toller if she could marry us, of course she did I was an employee only for the Northeastern Judicial System at that point I was working only for the State of GA, now I work from the Labor Department, to Immigration, to a homicide case on a Federal Level. What transpired tonight should have been done with tact and not because he suffers of depression but because anyone could be suffering of anything and lying to someone as sensitive as my husband was a deal breaker. Outback will not last 5 more years we all know it but the Legal Battle that is coming their way it's of an incommensurable size because today it was me, and because of course he applied for a dishwasher position you treated him as a nobody and you felt the power trip. read more

Well, I was hoping my ratings would be higher this time. After our last visit, I swore I'd never go back but friends we were with were dying for prime rib. Since I hadn't had it in so long, so was I actually. Guess what we DIDNT get? You guessed it, prime rib. We put our order in for medium rare prime rib. About 15 mins later the waitress came back and said it was all well done. How does that even happen? So, two of us got the ribeye, I got the sirloin. The waiter was great though, she called on the manager sensing our displeasure. I have to hand it to him. He threw in lobster tails for all of us and comped the blooming onion. He did us right. The steaks were cooked perfectly, the veggies were crisp tender, like I prefer. The 3 stars were their lack of foresight on the adequate amount of prime rib for the evening. The manager said we maybe should have come earlier. I looked at him and said, "I thought a mid weeknight at 4pm was early". He back stroked on that comment. They tried and tried and just kept on trying, otherwise this would be 1 star. Start with lipstick smears on both wine glasses and you are down a star already. The recovery of this was accomplished ably by our server with a couple of long pours in our fresh glasses. When you buy a bottle you kind of expect clean glasses to pour in. How many steaks do you have to go through to get one right, last week it was 3! Kind of like the owl in the Tootsie Pop commercial 40 years ago. Two overcooked prime ribs and finally an "ok" Ribeye. What made this a better than ab1 star meal? The people! Our server took good care of us, in the end we got a free entree. The manager kept helping us with the kitchen's mistakes. I go to Outback Steakhouse regularly and have always been satified.However today we went there and rhe food was awful.My wife got a steaand it was terrible.I got salmon and the sauce they put on it was so spicy I couldn't eat it I sent mine back and by the time I got it back I wasn't hungry We asked for the manager.Tin was the managers name.Went overboard to make us happy.Comped our food and gave us gift cards so well come back.
