I like that you can add an appetizer (egg roll or dumplings) and a drink to make it a combo for like $2.50. They have a condiment bar with sauces and also have yum yum sauce behind the counter. I visited a year or so again and now I remember exactly why. This place used to be busy all the time and now there was no one in there. The wings are not fresh. The last two times I have gone to this restaurant. The first time I got them and they were not fresh. I brought them to the attention of the manager. He got an attitude with me stating they were freshly cooked. He gave me a refund, and I vowed to never come back. Well I forgot and came back. What a mistake. They passes off old wings, refried wings as fresh wings. These wings had to have been cooked yesterday. They're very hard very dry and looks like the chickens were abused before they were killed or this meat is not thawed out properly because it's white meat. It should not be dark and the bone should not be bloody neither should the meat. They tell you it takes 15 to 20 minutes before your order is ready but it shouldn't because these wings have been cooked before. Customer service was good this time. I will not return again. I'm going to make sure I review this before I consider ever coming back. read more

We're continuing our quest to discover a decent wings place in south Gainesville/Oakwood area. We tried Hibachi and Wings this evening. It is self service but they prompt you for a tip when you checkout. The fried rice was not fried at all. It's the typical ripoff steamed rice with soy sauce added in it to make you think by its color that it had been fried. The steak - I don't even know to describe it but to say that it's basically beef jerky. About 2mm thick. There are signs all over the place saying "do not do this..." and "do that". The kind of behavior that a failing business exhibits as it approaches the throes of death and has given up on any mode of customer service. The best way to describe the ambiance is to compare it to a garage floor at a quick lube. Filthy unsealed cement floor. I really try to find some positive words for every review, but here I am at a loss for words. They don't even have Diet Coke. Adding insult to injury, this is NOT an inexpensive restaurant. I came here after reading the good reviews, now here's the thing... maybe it's just me that has a different pallet but I felt everything was super bland, the rice had no salt or much flavor, the chicken and sauce weren't up to par either. The wings were horrible. I expected them to be crispy but instead they were covered in what seemed just lemon juice and made them super soggy and very little meat on the chicken. Wow!! A whole in the wall, but what a great find!! My wife and I ordered the chicken and Steak hibachi and it was honestly better than many sit down, "cook in front of you" Hibachi spots. The flavors were rich and not overwhelming. The the chicken and steak were juicy and enjoyable to eat. We had the pot stickers on the side. The crust/wrapper was nice and crispy, and the inside was nice and juicy and with really good flavor. We are definitely adding this to our list of spots to come back to!! Great quick hibachi spot. Fried dumplings were good and pleasantly surprised that they were not dripping in oil, they were good. The portions were good size. I actually think if I wanted a light lunch/dinner I would split with someone else. The noodle are good, the upcharge is worth it. It is small inside and they would benefit from a drive thru window. Stopped here based on yelp reviews. Ordered the Steak Hibachi with fried rice and fried dumplings. Meal was a let down. Got plenty of food. The veggies were cabbage, carrot, and broccoli. Only had 2-3 very small florets. Other than that, the veggies were good. The were cooked well; not mushy and had had some flavor. The dumplings were pretty good. Wrapper wasn't dense. Filing had flavor as well. The rice was nothing special, but no real complaints. I had expected the steak to be cubed sirloin, but it wasn't. it was sliced meat -- possibly same stuff used for cheesesteak sandwiches. The main problem I had is that the meat was drenched in a terriyaki sauce. The sauce was OK; might have been good if there wasn't so much of it. Hibachi I've had other places was always cubed sirloin with just a slight glaze of sauce on the meat. Next time I'm in Gainesville I'd rather try a different place then go back for a repeat visit. read more

And the shrimp wasn't deveined so that made me lose my appetite. The flavor of the food was good and the fried rice was delicious. This place is amazing! STAFF: The staff are always welcoming, sweet, and efficient with their work. You don't ever have to be nervous to ask them questions, and they are pretty patient and informational when you order. Love them! FOOD: I love their food! I've eaten here often and everytime I have, my food has been hot and comes out pretty fast! It has bigger portions so usually I can take about half of my meal home and eat it for dinner. It's amazing quality. ESTABLISHMENT: Every time I have been inside everything has been clean. They are well stocked if you need anything, and you can always ask for extras for your meal.
