You got your white tablecloths, rooms full of retirees, and a vibe that hasn't changed much since the Reagan administration. Unfortunately, there was none of that live music that this place is known for. My family and I came for the Easter brunch buffet @ $55/person. The menu looked great: herb crusted prime rib at the carving station, shrimp and grits, Belgian waffles, deviled eggs, bourbon glazed carrots, cheesecake dessert squares. But the reality was that it's more like an upscale hotel breakfast. Safe, mostly bland, and probably exactly what the "usual" crowd there was looking for. The bacon was overcooked and shriveled. The deviled eggs didn't even have any paprika. And who puts a giant vat of syrup BEFORE the waffles? And their signature strawberry punch would've tasted way better chilled or iced instead of being kept at room temperature. The prime rib was what made it all worth it. It was tender, juicy, cooked just right, and the horseradish took care of their seasoning problem. That carving station is what saves the day along with the fantastic staff. Even the manager was great to talk to. I just wish the rest of the food was better than "meh." A couple of tips: call for reservations, there's no online booking. Parking is annoying because of the app. If you don't have a walker, just use the giant free public lot one block over on Main Street. Also, the "Order" button on their website goes nowhere. Maybe just replace it with "Menu," Luna. Looks like Mother's Day is getting the breakfast buffet brunch encore, so if you want to experience what I did, go for it. I probably won't be back even though the regular menu looks interesting.

I actually picked up the restaurant because they said they had a jazz/piano bar, but unfortunately we were sat in the dining room that that was nowhere near the jazz piano bar area so we didn't get to hear it. All we got to hear was people talking in dishes clattering. The lights were pretty right so it wasn't really very romantic. It seemed more like a country club or due to the fact that mostly everyone there was older than us and were in our late 50s. It seemed more like it was even an assisted living facility. I'm not joking. That's how it felt but the food was great. The service was mediocre. it's not that they were slow, but they were in no hurry yet when we got there they got made it seem like we got lucky that somebody canceled and that we needed to hurry and get in and place our order because they had a long list of reservation reservations. The doorman I think it actually should brush up or be shown how to approach or work with patrons. At his age; maybe due to his lack of people skills; he may not be the best person for the position of greeting guests. thanks Miss me where they take reservations they're considered a higher scale of client tell or on an event where it's an occasion like this for Valentine's Day. You definitely want somebody that's greeting you with a smile and kindly letting you know that they have a spot or they don't have a spot and just basically treating you kind and being as polite as possible, regardless of what the available situation was/is. We were very thankful they had a spot, and we went with knowing it may not be available to dine there; but to be making us feel like we were lucky when we chose their restaurant to go to; in turn I felt like they were lucky that we chose their restaurant because there are other restaurants that we could've gone to. We heard some patrons complaining about the timing of food delivery and one table left after a round of cocktails. We aren't sure why they chose to leave but they did. We felt their pricing for the amount of food and offering was a bit steep and not so much in line with others especially since they didn't add any extra flair of roses for the ladies, little to none romantic ambiance and definitely no music which would have been a nice touch. We will try them again when hopefully they will have seating in the jazz bar area and we will call further in advance to plan for the visit so maybe I can update the review and let you know if a 3rd visit is in the future. We don't live close so the second visit will kind of need to be a wow to gain the 3rd one as I feel I'm am fair and my expectations aren't set super high but I definitely feel they dropped the ball for me based on this visit.

He accepted and they brought the carafe over with it and poured it into what he still had left. It wasn't the same wine! Everywhere else we've been offers you a free dessert. Nope. Not here. Dessert was offered, but not for free. We declined and said we were full. They have a big menu with plenty of different choices, plus daily specials that give you even more options. We started with the buffalo chicken tender bites with ranch. These were some of the most tender and juicy chicken tenders I've had. The buffalo sauce had a little kick without being overly spicy. My wife thought it had a little too much vinegar flavor, but I personally really enjoyed it, especially dipped in the ranch. Either way, that plate disappeared quickly. We also tried the fried ravioli. We order fried ravioli fairly often, and one of my complaints at some restaurants is that you get a lot of fried dough and very little filling. Not here. These actually had a good amount of cheese filling inside, and they were great dipped in the marinara sauce. For my meal, I ordered the prime rib cooked medium with cheese grits and mac & cheese. It also came with a roll and au jus. The prime rib was excellent. One of the things I really appreciated was how much actual meat I got. I've ordered prime rib at other places where a huge portion ends up being fat. This one had a little fat, of course, but most of that big piece was delicious, tender meat. I poured the au jus all over it and went to work. The cheese grits and mac & cheese were both great sides as well. My wife ordered the chicken and dressing platter with squash and potato salad, along with cornbread. It was a big plate of classic comfort food and she really enjoyed it. Then came dessert. My wife ordered the chocolate chip pumpkin cheesecake, and I ordered the lemon curd cheesecake. When I say that lemon curd cheesecake was one of the best cheesecakes I've had, I'm not exaggerating. It was fantastic. The lemon curd on top paired perfectly with the cheesecake. We also got to meet the owner, Denise, who was walking around checking on everyone. When she found out it was our first visit, she was genuinely excited to hear what we thought and made sure we had everything we needed. While talking about how good the desserts were, she told us that her daughter is behind all of the baked goodies up front. They had cheesecakes, cakes, brownies, cobblers, cookies and all kinds of other desserts that looked amazing. That's going to be dangerous on future visits! Our waitress, Olivia, was awesome as well. She was friendly, kept our drinks filled and checked on us throughout the meal without overdoing it. Great service from beginning to end, and plenty of Coca-Cola refills! The restaurant itself is much larger than it looks from the road. There are two indoor seating areas with comfortable tables and chairs, plus a very large outdoor patio. The inside has an older, rustic feel with lots of wood and darker lighting, which fits the building well. Good food, big portions, fair prices and a genuinely friendly team. After driving past Quillians for more than six years saying we'd eventually stop, we've officially corrected that mistake. Now we need to come back and start working our way through those daily specials. Definitely a GO for us, and we'll be back!
