I don't eat a lot of desserts, but love chocolate mousse. The mini double chocolate dessert is the perfect way to end a tasty dinner. We ordered delivery tonight and the dessert was extremely disappointing. They slapped the mousse in the cup which filled it about halfway. Nothing else. No whipped cream or chocolate sauce on top. This was one of the finest steakhouse meals we've eaten in the past few years. My husband's 22oz. bone-in ribeye was absolutely cooked to perfection! The French onion soup side was prepared exquisitely and tasted excellent. My seafood trio was the tastiest meal I've had in some time. The lobster tail and shrimp skewers surpassed my expectation and the two crab cakes were pretty good too. The only flaw in the evening was the small wait to be recognized and served. In addition, there was an absence of the complimentary bread, which was later packed up to go upon our request. In the waiter's defense, he was rather busy, but we insisted on sitting in that section of the restaurant. Also, maybe you have to ask for bread. Overall, a wonderful dining experience! read more

Sunday when we went Ofek was our server and was absolutely amazing though!! Never went without anything and he checked in quite often to make sure we were good. The rating being on the low side is not really because of this particular location. The issue is that Outback is not particularly cost effective. I like to start off with soup or in this case chili. I want more than a measly cup so I got the crock and although it was good tasting it wasn't worth the $8.00 they charge. It's not very much bigger than a cup. If and when I go back to an Outback I'll stick to a regular appetizer and get the money's worth. I tried the new filet Shiela and although the flavors were there. The filets, which should be very tender were a bit chewy and not particularly tender. The one thing that was on the location were the employees/servers while back in the kitchen were pretty loud with one another. They eventually calmed down. The value unfortunately like many restaurants these days are pretty expensive for what you get. It's not like Outback or even Longhorn is a top of the line steak place so I feel it's gonna be hard for them to keep any value to warrant frequenting them. read more

Visited Outback for the first time in a long while. Great experience! Greeted immediately by very friendly server Joe. Ordered small sirloin (actually cooked medium as requested!) & it was delicious. Didn't know until server told me that they have roasted broccoli---fabulous! Asked for a low calorie dressing for my salad & he suggested the raspberry vinaigrette and it was very good too. They had an optional topping for steaks, chicken or salmon that had a name I can't remember the name of, but it was to die for. It was a Louisiana type spicy roux with shrimp & mushrooms. I love this restaurant. Some Outback restaurant's leave much to be desired but I have been coming here for some time and this location has always been top notch. In fact, I have been visiting Outback's all over the country for a long time, even the one that used to be in Mahatam, and this has always been one of the best. The wait staff is superb. Very helpful and friendly. Service is very good. The sides and appetizers are awesome. Love the side salad, chili, tuna, etc. I have also had the shrimp, chicken, and salmon. Wonderful. So why the 2 stars? This is a steakhouse. I come here mostly for the steak. Last week I came and ordered the 15 oz ribeye. It was full of gristle and some kind of membrane I could not cut through. I had to make my way around all of that. Tonight, I was back and ordered a strip steak - thought that to be the safer choice. The shape was weird. It looked more like a sirloin, but I asked the server, and she went to check and confirmed the steak was indeed a strip. it was quite wide but not very think. It was loaded with gristle and large pieces I couldn't cut through or eat. I kept thinking, I never had a strip steak that looked like this or was like this. All that I can surmise is that the quality of beef being purchased is subpar. I know we live in difficult times, but I would suggest changing a couple of more bucks so that in return you serve a product that will delight your customers. Not prime - just of perhaps decent quality. It does no good to have everything else working to in turn serve a substandard main course. And keep in mind, a lot of people come here to have an enjoyable night out which is sort of special. If their goal is to save every last penny, they could buy a pack of hotdogs and have that for dinner. If you can't raise the price, hoew about reducing the portion size. I know Americans love large portions but I would prefer quality. How long for the old days where Outback had a "Prime" option on the menu. That was spectacular. read more

Last night 10/30 we went to outback to celebrate a friends birthday. I don't know if the server was new but she clearly did not know what she was doing. If she was was new I would appreciated if she would of told us she was new so we could have slowed it down for her. But let me back it up a little. The minute my friend with a her baby got there she asked for High chair ( she never brought it to her the baby ended up knocking over a drink which they never brought anyone over to clean the mess on the floor ) okay so when she was taken our orders she was going real fast and repeating everything so everyone thought she knew what she was doing. 45min later our food comes out ALL WRONG and cold. The sides were missing. My husband didn't receive his food till about an hour and half later. When we would ask for something she would never bring it. I think she felt over whelmed because she brought a back up ( she was great) but once again everyone had to repeat what they wanted. Okay so now time to leave. ( in the back of my mind I knew if her severing kills were terrible and lacking customer attention her ringing up everything correctly was going to go bad) well in the mean time while she was doing that her manger on duty came over and tried to sweet talk us. Kid you not maybe for an hour she stood there talking. Ended up giving us like $80 in gift cards to use. Okay so server comes back and yep all the checks were wrong. Go figure huh? Made us all repeat what we had. It took this girl anther 45min to get it right. I mean if you have notepad why didn't you write everything correctly instead of rushing through it ?!?! There's a certain level of service that you expect when you go to Outback and one of the Bloomin chains. The food was good once the server got my order right. As I can appreciate anyone in sales and that's basically what servers are, working for tips, but our server I wish I would have gotten her name. Was lazy automatic mode. I get that they are there to push the $5 Margaritas which is a good deal but when you're getting back on the road driving it's not a good deal. We had been in the car for 6 hours we just wanted a nice dinner. After I politely turn down the margarita upsell and the appetizer upsell, she took off what seemed to be for a very long time before she came back and took our order. It was not extremely busy for an Outback. I ordered the prime rib she tried to upsell me into a bigger piece, and automatically added the loaded baked potato. I had to ask another waiter what it was and they switched it out for me. She asked me if I wanted a salad with ranch dressing I said no she brought it anyway. My daughter ordered a medium-rare filet it was more medium than any pink at all. Since she never came back for a check she ate it anyway. Working at Outback is a good job I would imagine that they make pretty good money and they work hard the standards are high. No matter what Outback you go to the consistency is good all over the country. This gal should be working in a Denny's or Cracker Barrel. She dropped the check and it took her forever to come back and retrieve the money. I put the money in the envelope and left had I been paying with a credit card and had to wait I would have been pretty upset. read more

It's been a while since I've dined at An Outback. It was a great solo experience with a top notch meal. I started with the Outback blonde ale and bloomin' onion. I believe her name was Brooke (I really hope I'm getting that right) and she was such a pro and super friendly. Was in the area and decided to stop by for some dinner. Words cannot describe how pleased I was with my dinner. I got the 18 ounce sirloin with a side of broccoli and some mash. I asked if my broccoli could be grilled and to my delight, if you ask, you shall receive. Outback is quickly becoming my favorite of the chain restaurants. For only $9.99 and less than 600 calories, you can enjoy a big salad, a 6oz sirloin steak, and a generous portion of steamed broccoli (that is left nicely crispy and never mushy). It's nothing out of this world, but it's a relatively healthy, very fresh, and pretty tasty meal at an unbelievable price. At this location, since it was Mother's Day after all, we splurged and went for the "three course" steak dinner, where for an extra $2 you can add a "Thunder Down Under" which translates to an exceptionally rich chocolate nut brownie topped with vanilla ice cream and real whipped cream. Though they quoted a 10 minute wait when we arrived around 5pm on Mother's Day, we were seated in less than five, and our server, Katie, did a great job. For less than $30 for the two of us (with tax and tip, water to drink), my mom turned out to be a pretty cheap date! read more

A very good friend came in to town and picked this place for our reunion dinner. We also celebrated one of the guys' birthdays at the same time, too. I was fine with the choice, especially because another friend of mine works at an Outback and he spoils me with just how good of food, drinks and service one can receive. We ordered two blooming onions for the table and it came out looking so much smaller than I've ever seen. I guess that's a good..ish thing because those are terrible for you anyway lol. Most of us ordered steaks, but there were a couple of mix-ups and a couple of steaks cooked incorrectly. Mine was extremely overcooked and inedible, so the waiter suggested allowing them to remake mine. Unfortunately, it didn't come out until way after everyone else had finished their entire meals, though it was hand delivered by the manager himself. Needless to say, I lost my appetite so I had them box my dinner up to take home instead. When the checks came, I saw that my dinner, along with the birthday boy's (whose dinner was also botched) was comped. I imagine it was either because: 1. Management is just that awesome, or 2. This is the second time that I've had dinner at Outback on a Friday night with no wait. I will admit, it's not as good as Longhorn's but tonight service was better than any Longhorn's I've eaten at. We sat close to the bar and the bartender was also our servicer. He was attentive almost immediately and really nice. I had a soup and salad, and my boyfriend ordered the steak and unlimited shrimp, and which of course I helped him devour. They bring the shrimp out per request and it takes no time to be brought to the table. We had the garlic herb shrimp first and fried cocktail shrimp second. We decided on having an early dinner after a day of boating. I ordered the 6 oz sirloin and my wife had the Filet minion with a sweet potato and broccoli. My wife's Filet was good, but my Sirloin was tough and fatty grissles. I returned this and got the Filet which was good. This is the second location I had problems with the sirloin. This is never a problem at Long horn or Texas road house. We also had the Blue cheese pecan salad which is always good at Outback as is the black bread that they serve. The service was OK, but considering the restaurant was not busy could be improved. We also like Chicken on the Barbie which is a good dish. This is not one of the better Outback locations which should also be considered. read more

Well, it was my birthday, and I was in the mood for some cow. While a chain restaurant is never my idea of a real good time, Outback consistently turns out a nice Prime Rib. Particularly, when you order it as rare and bleeding as I do. We started with a very nice Ahi Tuna appetizer. I don't now why we insist on ordering fish at a steak house, or steak at a fish restaurant, that's typically a dicey way to get an old, dried out, less than fresh entree. However, once again, Outback tends to do a nice Ahi Tuna appetizer. I like the green sauce so much, I typically eat the romaine spear that comes with the Tuna, dipped heavly in the green sauce. I went with a 20 oz. Prime Rib. It's not on the menu, but you can get bigger sizes (they just upcharge you $1.00 for each additional ounce you order). So I had a Big Cow! When it came, it was overly fatty, and I had to cut away most of the hard fat. Soft fat was barely brown or rendered. Sure, I was getting Rare, but it still had been in the oven for hours ... I'd expect a little better Maillard reaction, eh? (French word for browning ... from the Guy who analyzed the cooking of the sugars ... Culinary History tip of the day). I did have a hard time getting a Jaizon and Ginger Ale. Now, those who know me, know that I'm a Bushmill's man ... but any Irish Whiskey will do in a pinch. So imagine my surpise, two days before St. Pat's, and they have run out of Irish Whiskey! Damn, that borders on being un-American (since over 40% of Americans claim some portion of Irish Ancestry ... and on St. Pat's, everyone is Irish!). I suffered without a drink for my birthday dinner. Janette suggested that they come sing Happy Birthday to me ... but the withering look I sent her was so hot, even the waiter was scortched! They wisely decided amongst themselves, that this was NOT the thing to do! Lucky them. No dessert, and I can say that the overall price is OK for the quality. But in the end, it is just another chain steak house. read more

Ok, ok, I know. It's Outback. The food is probably on the level of a 3.5ish scale, but I had such a great experience with the customer service that this location is getting 5 stars....here i why I arrived a bit later than my family and they were already seated. I haven't been to an outback in years and definitely not since I have been gluten free. I looked over the menu and realized that there wasn't a whole lot I could eat. When our server came to take our order I asked if any of the fish had flour on it before it was grilled. She took the hint about the flour and asked if I was gluten free and then informed me that they actually have a separate gluten free menu. She returned with it quickly and gave me a few mins to read it over. When she took my order she asked if it was an allergy or just a diet thing. After telling her it was an allergy she informed me that they actually clean the grill and cook and plate everything away from all other food. Um, amazing! My family's meal came out and my server came over informing me that they accidentally got some butter on my fish from a different plate so they were making me a whole new piece jut in case anything else was crossed with my gluten free meal. I had to wait about 10 extra mins while my family was eating, but I didn't care at all. I was very impressed by the care they took to make sure my meal was what I ordered and expected adding in their own very high gluten free standards. The food was good, fresh and gluten free.
