Heard so many great things about this restaurant chain, so visited here for my birthday. Would have been better off eating at the food court. The main issue was the putrid stench upon entering the restaurant. It smelled like blue cheese and hot dumpster. Not like a grilled meat smell or something even close to the food served. The staff pretended like they didn't know what we were talking about when almost every table around us mentioned the stench. After a while, I was hoping that I would get used to it, but the smell never went away. I was so happy to leave to smell fresh air again. The meats were poor quality and tough, even when cooked rare. It's a Brazilian style steakhouse, yet the sauces for the meats were not on the bar and the servers were super stingy. Best thing here was the grilled cheeses and grilled pineapple. Not the meat. Sad. Food on the bar was sad also and soggy or whilted. Not fresh. You pay $7.75 for water here. No other water available. Server disappeared so it took 30 minutes just to print our check. I hate leaving one-star reviews. I really do. I'll usually round up and move on. But this one earned it. I brought my former intern and his partner here to celebrate him finishing our program and landing a full-time job. Big deal, worth a nice steakhouse. And on paper, this place delivers -- the market table was genuinely excellent, the room is beautiful, the meat was good quality. If that were the whole story you'd be reading a 3.5. The service is what sank it. My partner ordered an old fashioned. It took almost 30 minutes to arrive. It was good, so he ordered another. Twenty minutes later they brought him a whiskey sour. He sent it back, waited another twenty, and finally had to flag down a manager, who comped the correct drink. My wine refill showed up while we were eating dessert. Then the bill. I had six $50 Costco gift cards, digital, on my phone. Our server told me my only two options were to hand her my phone so someone could take it to a back room and type the numbers in, or to have her bring me a pen and paper so I could write out all six 16-digit numbers by hand. So that's what I did -- sat there transcribing 96 digits and confirming them out loud, in front of the two people I was supposed to be celebrating. If those had been clients instead of friends, I'd have been mortified. Y'all advertise these gift cards constantly. Build a way for people to actually use them without turning the table into a data-entry station. Good food can't carry a night like this. read more

My friends and I were really excited for this location to open since it's closer to home, and we've always had great experiences at the Atlanta location. Unfortunately, this visit did not meet my expectations. We came on a Wednesday night to celebrate a friend's birthday, and the service was frustrating from the start. It took a long time for any of the meats to come out, and we constantly had to ask our server to bring more. I tried almost every meat they offered, but most of it was overcooked, dry, tough, and hard to chew. The only standout was the chicken thighs, which were moist and full of flavor.The salad bar was decent and offered a good variety it was honestly the best part of the night. Lastly, they really need to address the sewer issue. Our table was near the door, and every time it opened, there was a strong unpleasant smell. I was very excited when Fogo de Chão opened in Buford, so close to my home. To celebrate a special anniversary, we made a reservation, and even at our 5 p.m. reservation time, the restaurant was already bustling with guests, reflecting its popularity and anticipation in the area. Our table was conveniently located near the self-serve salad bar, and the impressive variety and quality of fresh vegetables, cheeses, and side dishes immediately stimulated my appetite. Everything was beautifully presented and well stocked. A glass of wine for me and sparkling water for my wife paired perfectly with the main dining experience. Among the various cuts of meat, we especially enjoyed the ribeye and bottom sirloin, both of which were flavorful, tender, and expertly prepared. One challenge, however, was getting the lamb chops. I had to remind at least five different servers before they finally arrived at our table, likely because they were in high demand that evening. In a few cases, I also had to specifically request certain cuts of meat rather than having them offered naturally. That said, the servers overall were attentive and professional, and one staff member in particular, Christina, truly stood out. I initially thought she might have been a manager or lead server because she carried herself with an owner's mentality. She was warm, consistently smiling, and highly professional in the way she interacted with guests and managed the dining room. To make our anniversary even more special, the restaurant graciously provided dessert on the house, which was a thoughtful touch that we sincerely appreciated. This is the newest location in Georgia. The decor is a little cozier here but the service is still top notch. The team moved quickly so be ready for food and drink orders. This worked out well for us because we were on a limited timeframe. There seemed to be a lot more meats cooked medium well. We prefer the rarer cuts, but we just had to be patient. The market table features tons of fresh salads, pastas, antipasto meats and cheeses. We loved it. The service was so timely. The meat portions were generous along with the fried bananas and mashed potato sides. I ordered a glass of Chardonnay (just ok) and hubby got the pineapple old fashioned (he loved it). Once we were happily satisfied, we got the creme brûlée cheesecake. I don't generally care for cheesecake but this was by far some of the best cheesecake I've tried. We have frequented this establishment a couple of times before with good experiences. Last night was quite different. We had made reservations, so being seated was not an issue. As we are accustomed to, the server brought the bread, fried bananas, and finger corn cake. As we were dining, the mashed potatoes, which we are accustomed to being served, were never served. When I asked the server, he replied that now they only serve the mashed potatoes upon request. I replied "then I am requesting them". To which he replied, "OK". We waited, and we waited, and we waited. The mashed potatoes never came. I then overheard him tell another server that he needed some mashed potatoes. While we were still waiting for the mashed potatoes, the manager came by the table to ask how everything was going. I replied that we were STILL waiting on the mashed potatoes. He responded by asking if our server had told us "We no longer serve mashed potatoes". I responded that what he told us was they are served upon request and I had requested them. He simple replied "OK". Finally the mashed potatoes arrived. The table next to us must have requested them as well, and I'll say they were served their mashed potatoes in less than half the time it took for ours to be served. The server joked with us about the length of time it took to get us the mashed potatoes. It wasn't funny to us. Upon arrival the waiter asked if we were celebrating any special occasion and I told him we were there for our 50th wedding anniversary and I would like a picture before we left . He assured us that they would honor the special occasion. We found the food to be mediocre..only the chicken thigh and bacon wrapped filet had any taste. The only side dish we got was yucca fries and bananas..no garlic mashed potatoes. Despite our coaster being turned to green we were never offered any second helpings. Never offered a refill on my $5.50 iced tea. When our bill was presented I asked about the potatoes..was informed you have to request them. We were presented our bill by a different waitress..never had any further interaction with first waiter who inquired about the special occasion. When a restaurant first opens, service can sometimes be hit or miss, but that definitely wasn't the case for us. Our waitress, Lenessa, was fantastic. While celebrating a birthday at Fogo de Chão with a party of about 10 people, we had a disappointing experience with service and allergy awareness. The waitstaff were courteous, but there was no follow-up on the main courses served as extras, even though these items came at an additional cost. Several people at our table had to actively ask for their food rather than being served proactively, which was frustrating but not something I chose to complain about. My bigger concern was the handling of my food allergy. At the beginning of the meal, our server asked whether anyone had allergies, and I clearly stated mine. I was told someone would be by to ensure I did not receive anything containing my allergen, but that never happened. I was able to protect myself at the salad bar because I could see what was being served, but that level of control was not possible when staff circulated around the table with food. At one point, I was offered a pineapple skewer that I believed contained brown sugar, but it turned out to have cinnamon. I reacted immediately with only one bite, I began sneezing, and had to step away from the table to take Zyrtec. My symptoms continued to worsen, and I eventually had to leave because I was still sneezing and wheezing. I informed management, but instead of taking responsibility, they placed the blame on me. I am not seeking compensation. I am simply asking that staff be more attentive and proactive about allergies so this does not happen to someone else. I did everything I could to avoid my allergens, and I was disappointed that my concern was not handled with the seriousness it deserved. I was especially surprised by the response from management, since I have always been careful to communicate my allergies clearly at restaurants and have never had an issue like this before. read more

My husband and I went to Fogo de Chão for brunch this morning after we left church and must say that we had a wonderful experience. The restaurant is very clean and everything on the salad bar was neatly laid out with their own serving utensils. There were so many varieties of salad and fruits to choose from There is a station that you can order your omelet from and there's a wide selection of options to choose from to add to your omelet. The lady at the station prepares your omelet for you and brings it to your table. We enjoyed all the food. My husband enjoyed the lamb chops and the beef. I enjoyed the smoked salmon and the chicken salad from the salad bar Debra, the manager, is awesome. She is very attentive. When we got there, she was dressing tables and helping her staff. Hello, I took my wife, my mother and my mother's caretaker to the Fogo de Chao restaurant on Buford Drive in Buford, GA on May 31, 2026. It was a late Mother's Day celebration and a birthday celebration for her caretaker. We were all disappointed in the quality of the meat. Everything was tough to cut and tougher to chew. We told a lady who said she was a manager and she apologized and said that she would tell the chef. The tenderness of the meat did improve a little after that but it did not come up to the standard that we experienced at the Las Vegas location on Flamingo where we live. The best thing about the evening was the attention that Kayly provided us. She was very attentive and made the evening a better experience than it otherwise would have been. read more

When we saw Buford was getting a Fogo my husband was super excited. So much so he made us reservations for our anniversary. We had reservations at 6:00 pm and arrived at 5:55 pm and was sat inches away from bar seating at 6:15 pm. They had only been open a week or so, so it seemed like they had added tables because we were smushed in there like sardines. We were so close to the bar seats our server couldn't go on that side without bumping into a chair at the bar. The food was meh. Most of the meat had little to no seasonings. Salt and pepper was added by us at the table. The meat options were good, but we kept getting offered the same one or two things and felt bad when we had to tell them we were passing on what they had. Our server was amazing! She was so nice and even gave us a dessert to take home for free cause it was our anniversary. My biggest issue with this location is the valet parking. It's nice that they offer it; however, the parking lot is already on the small side and the valet parking spots are AT THE FRONT. Every time we drive by there's no cars in those spots, because it defeats the purpose of valet parking. All spots not taken by valet parking spots are far away spots. I'm not going to pay/tip for parking literally 10 feet from the valet drop spot. Sorry not sorry. I think if you're going to have valet parking, make the spots further away. I feel like they'd get more people using it because then they're actually paying for them to do some actual work. Might sound mean....but. Hey, those spots are always empty. read more

Noticed Fogo just opened in Buford so I had to try it out. There was about 40 mins wait for a table, which was longer than expected for lunch. The environment is nice since it is a new establishment. Ordered empanadas, picanha burger, crab cake, and beef ribs, and for crème brûlée for desert. Over all the food was fine, until I discovered hair in my crème brûlée,which I was so looking forward to. I notified our waitress, that did ruin my appetite and I was disappointed. The manager DID NOT come to address any concerns nor was addressed. I had a chance to try this location during their pre- opening this past Friday and my party had a wonderful experience. All the food was fresh and tasted delicious. The staff were very attentive, warm, and welcoming. While there was a full house with a lot of guests, there was still a calm atmosphere that extended to our table. We had ample opportunities to try everything we wanted from the wide variety of cuts offered in the full Churrasco experience. We also tried some caipirinhas and the Gold Rush cocktail. As always, their drinks are just as good as the food! I recommend the pichana (house special) of all the meats and the lamb pichana was almost just as good!
