What a way to spend the day! Fogo De Chão is now in Buford and I can't manage to stay away. We can smell the aromas from the backyard. We're seated promptly and it is always a sensational experience. I come here more than the other location. Check out all the goodies enjoyed on the latest visit!

My husband and I were sooo excited to try Fogo De Chao. We heard all about the luscious meats being brought to your table. Our server explained the entire setup including the market table. The market table features tons of fresh salads, pastas, antipasto meats and cheeses. We loved it. The service was so timely. The meat portions were generous along with the fried bananas and mashed potato sides. I ordered a glass of Chardonnay (just ok) and hubby got the pineapple old fashioned (he loved it). Once we were happily satisfied, we got the creme brûlée cheesecake. I don't generally care for cheesecake but this was by far some of the best cheesecake I've tried. The ambiance was sultry and romantic. We loved our first time here and sooo happy it's close to our side of Georgia versus driving to Atlanta. 10 outta 10!

If loving meat is wrong, I don't want to be right...because Fogo de Chão just opened and absolutely understood the assignment. We snagged a reservation for our almost one-year anniversary (yes, we are those people celebrating "almosts"), and let me tell you--it felt like we picked the perfect place to celebrate. Walking in, the vibe hits you immediately: upscale steakhouse energy with a bold Brazilian twist. Think classic, rich steakhouse aesthetics but with just enough flair to make you feel like you're about to embark on a carnivorous adventure. Our waitress was fantastic. Not the "here's the menu, good luck" type, but the "let me guide you through one of the best dining decisions of your life" type. She walked us through everything, answered all our questions, and made us feel like churrasco pros before the first bite even hit the table. We both went all in on the full churrasco experience because...why come here and play it safe? And WOW. Every single cut of meat that came by was better than the last. Perfectly seasoned, incredibly tender, and somehow each one had its own personality. At one point I genuinely considered canceling all future meals just to make room for more. Since I was driving, we decided to split a cocktail--the Strawberry Hibiscus Caipirinha. My husband said, and I quote, "I'll just have a sip." Reader, that was a lie. This man practically adopted the drink. And honestly, I get it--it was refreshing, slightly tart, perfectly balanced, and dangerously easy to keep sipping. Between the incredible food, the warm and attentive service, and the overall atmosphere, the whole night just felt special. It's not just dinner--it's an experience. The kind where you leave full, happy, and already planning your next visit before you even make it to the parking lot

Such a pretty place! Kinda small feeling if you have a larger party although the service was impeccable! Certainly knowledgeable! The market table was very fresh and clean! The food tasted fresh and there were various options! Cute for a date night!

I had a great time at the bar tonight. The bartender staff was excellent! A big shout out to Caleb, Fee and Robert. They were very attentive and made great recommendations. I hope Fogo de Chao offers an IPA in the future. I highly recommend it. Great food and atmosphere.

My fiancé and I recently visited this restaurant for the first time, and unfortunately, our…read moreexperience did not meet our expectations, especially compared to other Brazilian steakhouses we have visited. Upon arrival on a Saturday evening, the restaurant was noticeably quiet, which initially raised some concerns but did not deter us from giving it a try. After being seated, we were directed to the salad and sides bar. Several items appeared as though they had been sitting out for an extended period. The hot items were lukewarm to cold, and many of the cold items looked picked over and were not replenished during our visit. Service was also slower than expected. After returning to our table, we waited approximately 15 minutes before our server returned to take our drink order. When she did, I ordered a sweet tea and water. After some confusion regarding the order, we were informed that the only water option available was a 1-liter bottled water for $7. While we agreed to it, the price felt excessive, especially considering the retail cost of the same product. The sweet tea was particularly disappointing. It appeared as though it had been sitting in a pitcher of melting ice for hours. The tea was so diluted that it was nearly transparent, and I could literally see through it. It lacked both the color and flavor you would typically expect from freshly prepared sweet tea. The dining experience itself was inconsistent. Some meats were served hot while others arrived noticeably cooler. Several cuts appeared to have been sitting for an extended period before being served, and many lacked seasoning. The chimichurri sauce provided the majority of the flavor. Additionally, there were lengthy gaps--often 15 to 20 minutes--between visits from the gauchos, and the same cuts of meat were brought repeatedly. One of the more surprising aspects of our visit was learning that several advertised meat selections were unavailable. After being asked which meat we would like to try next--a question we have never been asked at other Brazilian steakhouses--we were informed that, despite advertising 14 meats, only four red meat options and lamb chops were available that evening. This was disappointing given the expectation of variety that comes with this style of dining. The lamb chops had a strong gamey flavor, and the shrimp offering was relatively basic, consisting of cooked shrimp with seasoning sprinkled on top. To conclude the evening, we were surprised to find that our final bill exceeded what we typically pay at other Brazilian steakhouses that offer a larger selection, fresher food, and more attentive service. Paying a premium price would be understandable if the quality, service, and variety justified it, but that was not our experience. This review reflects only our personal experience during our visit. Unfortunately, based on the condition of the food bar, the quality and consistency of the meats, the slow service, the limited selection, and the overall value for the price, we would not choose to return. Based on our visit, I am genuinely surprised by the restaurant's 4.5-star rating. Everyone's experience may differ, but the food quality, service, overall ambiance, and value we encountered did not reflect what I would expect from a restaurant with such highly rated reviews. Between the condition of the food bar, the inconsistent quality of the meats, the extended wait times, the limited selection available, and the overall dining experience, the rating did not align with what we experienced as first-time guests.

We thought we were early. The food bar had no salmon, and whatever else they were serving was gone. I really wanted salmon, but the only thing left was a huge pan with bits of salmon in a sauce. It was all gone. I asked a server if they were going to refresh the food bar. He went into the kitchen to check it, but he never walked back to the food bar to reply. Someone brought out more rice. No bread, no mashed potatoes, no soup; the containers were empty. How could they already be out of food? They were open for at least 3 more hours. We spent $200, and we left in search of food. Not a memorable anniversary.

The manager/owner is there everyday and she is so sweet, treats you like family the second you walk in. The restaurant itself isn't very large, and it's very casual. You pay after you eat at the front. The set up is all you can eat, with a self serve salad/sides bar and you walk up to the counter to get your meat cut. Sides: I love that they have plantains. They also have yuca fries and other authentic Brazilian sides. Meat: I am blown away by the quality of the meat here. The picanha is rich and fatty, just how you want it to be. The beef ribs were huge. Pork ribs had a nice crunchy exterior as well. The sausage isn't my favorite but I think that's only because I prefer the taste of American/European style sausages. Their prices are super fair, around $23 for lunch and $33 for dinner with the only real difference being ribs are only on the dinner menu. They are closed on Tuesdays, and the close at 9pm. I've been back 3 times and they're consistently kind and delicious. Will continue to come to satisfy my picanha cravings!!

My service at the server attending my table is normally very polite and very attentive. This time it was different. Asya had been somewhat attentive, but as the evening progressed and after being assigned another table next to mine with about 12 people, she no longer attended my TABLE frequently. At the end of the meal, I had four rolls left over and when I asked if I could bring them home, you would've thought that I was asking for a entire steak to take home, but I was not! I asked the general manager I believe his name was JP and he said that he could allow that. While, I understand their policy of not taking out food. I do not understand such a commotion being created over for dinner roles. Her exact quote was "going forward, we will not allow you to take the rolls home" While a simple "no" would've sufficed and I would've accepted it, I believe that the tone that the response was delivered was inappropriate. This tone carried out throughout the rest of the evening to dessert. Even though I was full, I did order dessert to take home. When I paid the bill I was not even thanked for dining there or asked to return . Before leaving I brought it to her attention that I have never left this restaurant without the server thanking me for dining there. She explained to me that she normally tell patrons as they are leaving "see you next time." I explained to her that see you next time was NOT the same as a "Thank you for dining here! "I also brought this to the attention of the general manager before I left. I explained to him that I left her a full tip even though I did not feel she earned it BECAUSE I had hoped that the tips get divided amongst the entire crew serving my table. I'm giving a rating of three rather than one because the highlight of my evening, definitely offset this bad experience. This was due to a very polite and very attentive Jardel, who always came with a smile and was very conscientious about me receiving the meat medium, rare as I requested! I probably will consider another location as I like to dine at Brazilian steakhouses and normally the service is impeccable!

Line is usually shorter because they're newer. Unfortunately, there's another reason why the line is shorter. I ordered the picanha sandwich. At $14, it's certainly not cheap. I initially thought a side would be priced in, but it's $14 for the sandwich. Even after all the inflation, $14 is still a pretty high price to pay for an à la carte sandwich. Let's hope it's worth it. Make your meal a combo for $5 more. This is ~$1 more than it costs to make your meal a combo at Moe's. Let's hope it's worthwhile. All told I spent $20 for a sandwich, a ridiculously small portion of fries, and a drink. The fries is just a serious insult. Looking at pictures from the Orlando location of Steak Up, apparently you're supposed to get a somewhat fair portion of fries. The sandwich itself is not worth $14. First, if it even is picanha, it's some combination of very old and/or very tendon-y. I love steak as much as the next guy and understand a lot of cuts are very chewy. I also eat enough steak to know when I've been fed substandard stuff. Portioning of the steak wasn't great, but I suppose roughly in line with expectations. The bread is far too big, and the 3 big pieces of onion on the sandwich aren't great. Overall, the flavor of the sandwich was a slight redeeming factor, but not enough to make up for the fact that I frankly got robbed. Go to Asian Chao.... Maki of Japan or whatever they call themselves these days. Go to Chickfila. Don't let Steak Up rob you.
