Hadn't dined at the actual restaurant in a few years. Typically grab a lunch to go order.I had a chance to dine here this past week. Known for their variety of seafood. The offer Monthly specials and I tried the shareable seafood special which comes with salmon, ahi tuna, shrimp, and mahi. All were good except the tuna which ok. ( didn't seem as fresh) portion sizes not balanced. Salmon was very small compared to mahi. I had their truffle fries which were super salty and too much cream sauce. They did remake without the sauce which thick. I did use a napkin to dust the salt off All in all it was ok but have had other dishes which were better. Our server was friendly and pretty polite. I stopped by Bonefish in Buford while traveling back home from Chateau Elan Winery & Resort, and it was the perfect way to end the trip. Anytime there's a Bonefish nearby, I make it a point to go especially since the Birmingham location sadly closed. It's one of those dependable favorites for me. I ordered their luncheon burger which I have had in the past. This burger was very different. They served it with tomato and lettuce on the bun instead of on the side. The burger meat was not the same. The sauce had recently been changed and did not care for it although others might like it. A little pricey for what you get, but many restaurants are now the same. The restaurant probably had about four other tables seated, so not too busy. Leijla was our server and she was super nice! We started with drinks, which included a blueberry lemon drop martini (which was on special), a Heatwave-tini, a glass of Riesling, and a mule. All were refreshing and two of us had seconds! They had a special on the Bang Bang Shrimp appetizer, so we ordered that as well as calamari. Both were cooked nicely and tasted great. Our entrees included the Blackened Ahi Tuna, the Rock Butterfish, Potstickers, and Fish n Chips. I personally had the Butterfish and it was very good. I ate every bite! I haven't been to bonefish in quite a while, and thought I would update my review here from seven years ago not realizing how much time has gone by and what a great place bonefish grill is. I recently left my job in the oil and gas business and I'm working as a personal chef, so I'm not going out as much as I tend to stay home and create dishes and I know the cost, no longer on expense account, so my traveling and entertainment budget is Very limited but I was craving bonefish and brought my son here today for a late lunch around 430 or early dinner and was happy I did. The last time I came was before 2020 pandemic so seeing the restaurant afterwards, it looks the same, the staff was impeccably, dressed, and well received as the bonefish I expect, which was upscale, prices were below the norm for dishes of this caliber, and the place was absolutely spotless. Granted we came during off hours, so we sat at the bar and had excellent service from Delilah and got a beer and a Moscow Mule, while we looked at the newer menu. I have always ordered fish at bonefish Grill, and I ordered a fillet with chimichurri sauce on it and it was the most tender delicious meal I've had out for sometime. We started with bang bang shrimp like we always do which were good as always, but something I do at home now, but the fillet was cut and served in a sauce with chimichurri, but perfectly cooked medium rare, she actually asked me the temperature I wanted and I said 130 and I think she was surprised I knew what temperature to ask for!!! yes that's rare, medium rare and it was perfect!!! My son ordered the stuffed cod and not even eat everything on the plate and both of these entrées were around $20 not $50 and we happen to be there during a time that the drinks were under $10 as well but both of us enjoyed a very, very nice Meal while the staff was building up for the start of the evening ...albeit a Monday which is usually slow for most all restaurants. I can't express how impressed I was with how the staff was quiet, but prepared and ready to work, our service was impeccable, our meals were delivered Hot and ready in a short period of time, I have forgotten how nice it really is to get a nice meal at a restaurant, and not critique it from a cooking standpoint because there was nothing I could've done different to make it equally as delicious. I have always loved bonefish Grill for the atmosphere and the quality of food and I will continue to come here a little more often to get my fix usually on some fish but now with new menu items I'm checking around the menu. Their salads are fantastic and although I don't do dessert very often. I'm sure it's up to par as well. Let me start by saying Bonefish is one of my favorite restaurant's. The drinks, food and atmosphere are amazing. On this particular evening, February 19th, I was with my family to have dinner, and we waited maybe 10 mins to get seated at a high-top table, great. The host a gentleman came and said Jane or Julie will be your server, she will be right with you. Well...she ignored us the whole time we sat there for about 15 mins. Did not come over to say I'll be there shortly or anything. She literally took care of the table right next to us who got there after us and said nothing. She took care of the table on the other side of us and still said nothing. We then let the host know we had not been served. He immediately got our drinks and got us another server. This location of Bonefish is good. The service we received was great with the server accommodating us quickly. I particularly didn't like my food as much as some other locations but would give them another chance to try it again. I ordered the bang bang shrimp which was a bit over cooked. I also ordered the fish tacos that were ok. The brownie dessert was decent that day, not sure if they changed the recipe but it was different. This location is in Buford and is spacious. I really like this place, the atmosphere is great with low lights and dark wood. The food is always tasty and service is fantastic! I had the Chilean sea bass with lemon butter sauce and it was very very good, light and flaky. Last time I went I had the seafood chowder and it was delicious also. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars is because it's on the pricey side especially the drinks. They got rid of the larger pours of wine also, so if you order wine it's a 6 oz pour. The atrocity was with the parking. The closest handed parking was in front of the next store down.. only 2 and that was as far as you can see by the photos. 4 designated spaces for pick- up orders but no handicap. Sad when greed is more convenient. I know this started because of Covid-5 years ago. No adjustments have been made. In addition there is no ramp except between the 2 handicap parking spaces. Imagine having had multiple spine, hip, knee and ankle surgery. I and my elderly Mom both user walkers. We do not have motorized chairs. We almost left and unfortunately the food was just average and for the price it should at least be delicious .... Bot expecting fabulous or extraordinary . We were so disappointed. Not planning to go back. The last two previous visit were not up to par but this was 3 strikes. Too many other Restuarant's to be this disappointed. The man who came out to see if we needed help without a smile or sincerity in his voice. His reply to my question was he would let the manager know but it was up to the city of Buford. I wonder if anyone else has brought this to anyone's attention. When we arrived all 4 spaces close to the restaurant designated for Pickup were empty! The caesar salad was drenched in the dressing, then they tried to charge extra for salad when I was told to sub it for no vegetables available! The food, drinks and service were all on point here! Came on the recommendation of a friend for their drinks and I'm so glad i did. Came on a Saturday evening and while they were busy my party of two was able to be seated and served right away. We started off with drinks and complimentary bread that was brought to the table with a house made herb oil. My first drink was the blueberry lemondrop which was absolutely delicious with a strong but refreshing taste. For appetizers my friend and i share the crab cakes which were so fresh and tasty and the bang bang shrimp which was savory and crispy. For my second drink i had the crushed pineapple martini which was sweeter but still packed a kick from the added rum. I chose a chef special for my entree which was the salmon bourbon glazed with a cherry sauce and two sides i for the mashed potatoes which the portion size was on the small end for me and creamed spinach. Lost our reservation, wsited an extra 45 minutes, my older parents had to sit on bench next to busy revolving door, bartender ignored me even though I was i facing her with a drink special card, ready to spend. When directed to our table they were still putting the table together and unorganized. Server jackets were filthy, Fathers Day features were not offered or upsold. Caeser salads came out wilted and seemed pre-made way in advance. Watched hostesses sipping drinks and standing behind the podium instead of doing actual work. Manager auctioned off food to the table and spoke with a guest at the table that was not the primary host of the party. Manager did comp 50% of the bill, which was a great move. We would have been willing to buy wine and specialty drinks and desserts however they were not offered. I think they were unprepared for the busy shift and didn't have it together. I wrote an email to the restaurant to avoid public review, but I got no response. We used to dine here 2-3 times every 6 months or so. I hope they figure it out. read more
