I've been here many times, with family and friends. I'm actually amazed I haven't written a review before, but maybe it just got buried. Today I came with my friend and we decided to eat lunch here. It's changed a little, they now have online menus and one word of advice is to make sure you press "confirm" in black once you think your order is in. Otherwise, it'll stay in a state of flux. Plenty of parking here, but tough entrance and exit when it's busy for the Old Norcross traffic. We did the Unlimited lunch for $31, and got two Coke zeros along with an ice cold jug of water. The servers all rotate thru the restaurant, making sure each table is being managed well, meats are cooking properly, and filling up banchan when needed. My buddy who is American LOVES mandu, so we ordered one and it was so nicely crispy and came with a garlic onion soy sauce drizzle which I wished I could take home with me. Even with the all you can eat this was fun and delicious. We had the Unmarinated beef (twice), the bulgogi, the marinated pork neck and the spicy pork belly. Both of us felt like we were hungrier than we were, however we appreciate the options given with the AYCE. I used to come here during Covid when I first moved here, they had a killer lunch special but I'm not sure that's still around. Either way, it's great here and a change up to some of the other spots. My wonderful wife desired Korean bbq on our first day in Duluth. I was happy to agree and picked this funky, fun, unique and long-standing establishment... Honey Pig! We decided to come early at 4:30pm to avoid the rush and have a relaxed and fun meal. Heath greeted us, showed us a fun Honey Pig when I started taking pictures, and graciously and patiently explained the menu and our options. Thank you Heath! You made our first vacation meal special and fun! Rachel helped with the cooking and was also patient and gracious. We ordered three kinds of meat and avoided the all-you-can-eat, instead opting for the option to take leftovers to go. I can't eat much at one sitting so it's key for me to be able to take leftovers. We tried eating our grilled meats four ways, with rice, lettuce leaves, rice paper and pink pickled radish. We added salt, bean paste, and chili sauce. Everything was delicious! We visited Duluth over the weekend and had a great time at Honey Pig. We were familiar with the Honey Pig in Houston, but this location proved to be even better. The ambiance is definitely lively, staff was very attentive and cooked for us. Some times I do like cooking my own food so I wish they asked us first, but I can appreciate the gesture. Each time the food was cooked perfectly. Our favorite was definitely either the spicy pork belly or bulgogi. Something about it was different from other places, despite being pretty basic. After a full day of eating in duluth, My family and I decided to hit up Honey Pig to end the day off on a good note! We absolutely love the location in Houston, so we wanted to see if this location was as good as how we know of it as. We went in a busy Saturday night with a party of 5. Our waiter was extremely passionate about showing us the best choices off of our AYCE menu - recommending the Beef brisket and belly. Our table was much more different than the usually kbbq spots that we ate. The grill was a huge stone pot, angled to where the juices can naturally run off to the side for us which was great! The vent system was also much higher than we are used to, so i think that may be what caused our greasy hair and bbq smell. Menu wise, I absolutely loved it!! We got 2 rounds of beef brisket (100/10), beef belly (8/10), spicy pork belly (9/10), regular pork belly(7.5/10), and corn cheese (10/10). Stopped by Friday afternoon for a late lunch. It was mostly empty but service was slow. They do cook the meat at your table for you, which is nice. Inside is dark and spacious with lots of seating. The booths are big and comfortably seated my group of 5. The ayce menu features pork belly with a variety of different marinades but limited options for other types of meat. Usually pork belly is my least favorite ayce pick but I really enjoyed it here. My favorite is the curry pork belly and it was my first time ever having it. read more

If you are a pork belly lover then you are going to love Honey Pig! This KBBQ place has AYCE or a la carte options, although I think picking AYCE would be worth the most bang for your buck. The ambiance inside is pretty chill; my boyfriend and I went on a Sunday night and it was pretty empty. This also meant that the servers were pretty attentive to us... at times our server was too attentive, but he was just doing his job. We ordered the Beef Brisket, Pork Belly, and Wine Pork Belly. They use butter to oil the large cast iron skillet (not commonly found in KBBQ places around the area) before putting the meat on there, which gives the meat a lot of flavor. I LOVED the Beef Brisket. It was very soft to eat and paired well with a simple salt and sesame oil sauce. Since this place is known for their pork, I was excited to try their pork bellies. According to the server, the Pork Belly and Wine Pork Belly had no difference in taste, which I agree with. There was no distinct flavor to the Wine Pork Belly, but both types of pork bellies were juicy, tender, and meaty! I really think that butter on the skillet helped enhance the flavors of the meats. We also got the Steamed Egg which tasted alright. I do think that the sides could have been better. For instance, they automatically grill the kimchi... I would rather eat the kimchi cold (but I am sure you can ask for cold kimchi on the side). Overall, the meat selection here is very generous for AYCE and the quality is top-notch. I would give Honey Pig a 4.5/5 if I could, only because I think that the sides could be improved (and there could also be more options). But I would definitely recommend coming here if you want yummy meats, specifically pork! read more

We stopped by Honey Pig for lunch this Saturday around 12:30pm. There isn't much left that I recognize from our earlier visit a year or two ago when we visited for dinner. This place was always highly regarded by us previously, but a limited food selection and slow service have dulled this restaurant's luster. Not a busy place--there were only 2 - 3 other tables seated. Very understaffed (only 2 servers who seemed really out of it), limited food options in their "unlimited " meal selection (see photo), and slow service with strange ("only two meats at a time") rules considering that our meal was limited to 2 hours maximum. Barely worth the $35/person that we paid for a table of 4. We won't be back. read more

I visited for Mother's Day after trying and failing to book a massage at spa land. I've been to K BBQ before so I was familiar with this type of cuisine. The drum was a change from the in table grill. This type of grill had its pros and cons. I liked not having to reach as far to cook. But if you sit in the middle on either side you are in the splash zone. They have aprons that we noticed too late. Some of the items with marinades are cooked on foil to avoid popping grease. But they can only do so much. Besides that the food/ variety was great as always. I wish they had more drink options. From the water to the herbal tea I didn't like the taste. So I went with a soda. Parking is easy and if you want a drink there is a tea place in the same plaza. I don't think I'll be back. But I liked the experience and our waiter. read more

My first time there in years so I enjoyed two thick slabs of their signature thick fresh pork belly with a somaek tower with a friend last Saturday night. Around 7:30 pm, the place was not busy at all with a good mix of people eating AYCE and a la carte. They have tasty side dishes.', especially the kimchi and bean sprouts, so good we ordered extra servings of each. Very good service and attentive servers that know what they are doing. If you need some mouthwash, check out their restroom. Reminds me of a seafood restaurant in Yeosu, South Korea that had that and packaged toothpaste and toothbrushes. The restaurant was slammed and yet they were still able to seat us rather quickly! None of us had eaten Korean BBQ before and it was quite obvious we had no idea where to begin. Love the food here! The meat and the apps are all delicious (especially their dumplings). One of my favorite kbbq ayce spots! There's plenty of tables and usually isn't too loud or crowded for early dinner on weekdays. Our server Sujin was the best!! I used to come to this place when often, I was disappointed with the service, we have to keep asking for everything, before the beans sprouts are put on the grill automatically, this time the lady just started grilling the meat, she even grill the other meat from a different grill when we ask for the beans sprouts. The grill was so hot it burn the meat a bit, it took a while for the bulgogi to be cooked in the other grill. We ran out of sauce and soda, the server were actually sitting and playing with their phones we tried getting their attention but they act like they don't have a table, we have to ask another employee who was clocking out to call one of them. The food used to be good but now the price is higher and there is no flavor the service is terrible as well. I'm not sure if I'm willing to come back again. I rather go to SO bbq. read more

The first time I came to Honey Pig was about 10 years ago! So I told my friend that I need to come back here and try it again. We came here for lunch and did the "Unlimited A" (There is an A and a B and the A has brisket) and all the meats were awesome! Even more though, the service was excellent! Everyone there is so sweet. I have been to so many KBBQ places in Gwinnett and Atlanta and I have never felt more welcome than here. For meats we tried the brisket, chicken bulgogi, garlic pork belly, curry pork belly, marinated pork butt, and everything was great! Bonchons wise all were great too -- we tried the steamed egg, pickled veggies, kimchi (hot and cold), salad, corn cheese, and some steamed rice. What I love about this place is it all you can eat option and delicious pork belly - garlic is the most popular flavor; we also enjoyed curry, regular, wine, frozen, and flower. in my humble opinion, their secret sauce is butter on the grill that looks like an upside down wok. Unlike most KBBQ places that have a grill with a metal grid or holes, this restaurant's grill is solid metal, so they can cook the meats with hot butter! I also enjoyed the cooked kimchi, especially when burnt, too! One idea that might pack the house every night is to have special flavor of the week for pork belly. This is my kind of restaurant. I love unique cooking plates/stones/grills and this one has one of the best. It's a big metal lid that's tilted and you just cook everything on top of it. Service is great, they come by and cook the food for you, place the kimchi and bean sprouts on the grill for you, and they come by frequently. The combo of the sprouts and kimchi grilled are a perfect compliment to the meat, which also has 3 separate sauces to dip into, separate for each person. I haven't been to Honey Pig in a long time but after I saw a friend have a lunch takeout bento box style I was intrigued. I ordered online which was an easy process which I appreciated. You don't have to download an app to access online ordering and pick up. The menu was easy to review. The food was ready for pick up in a timely manner too. You can pick up your take out order inside the restaurant or do curbside. I did the curbside option and was impressed with the promptness and the packaging of the food I ordered. I would highly recommend their lunch options and really appreciate during a pandemic they make it easy to have some good takeout lunch bento options to choose from. I wish they had a sliced pork belly option on their lunch bento menu. Price was fairly reasonably considering everything you got with your order. Food tasted great and they were pretty generous with the protein you selected. Some of the bento lunch options comes with a small side of korean soybean soup/stew and an individual packed seasoned seaweed which I thought was a very nice extra touch. Check them out!
