spicy seafood soup - they give you scissors to cut the squid!

Service was friendly and very responsive, atmosphere setting was perfect for a ladies night, and the place was very clean and wall decorated. I do like there is no loud music blasting like Han Shin Pocha does. Food prices here are very similar to surrounding poaches like Hanshin Pocha. But they give you a LOT more meat here instead. Tuesdays are ladies night with 50% off all food EXCEPT for beef tartare (beef tartare bibimbap is applicable for half off though!) and galbitang. Drinks are also NOT included in half off. Highly suggest the beef tartare bibimbap and the mala ddukbokki (never heard of it before and it's pretty good!!)

Great service and our food came out quickly! The food was delicious for the pricepoint - very affordable Korean food. It felt like I walked into a Korean restaurant / pub. We ate lunch here on Halloween and the decorations were so cute. Overall, I'd come back if I want a quick and homey Korean meal :)

Came here for dinner on a weekend, reminded me of hanshin a Korean style bar/restaurant. Apparently lunch is self service, mostly Korean stews. They have discounts on certain days (business outings, women only, etc). Really wanted to like the place but the menu was overpriced and quality of food was not there. We ordered the spicy baby octopus and smoked pork. The octopus was undercooked and way too chewy, the smoked pork was ok but too burn on the edges.

I saw them on Instagram and I had to try them out! There's plenty of parking. When you enter the restaurant, you'll see tiki decoration and so many cute led light decorations. Very cool vibe for weekend late dinner/drinking. This is like a Korean pocha spot. There's many options to choose from like protein, soups, and appetizers. We got the spicy pork ribs with melted cheese (extra charge) , steamed pork, and fish cake soup. Everything was flavorful and appetizing that we all want to visit again soon . Service is attentive, quick, and friendly. Everything here was so good and I would recommend this spot for your next Friday/Saturday night outing.

Beef Tartare(Yukhwe) Bibimbap

I'm surprised I haven't left a review for this place yet. Hwangso Gozip is one of the newest and hottest pochas in town. They operate as a self-serve naengmyeon/donkatsu restaurant during the day, and once the sun sets -- they turn into a full K-Pocha. Currently -- this place is probably the place where you can see the most amount of Koreans at night. Glam and Hanshin has more foreigners now than Koreans. I actually have never dined here during the day and have only came to the pocha version. They have some good food options - I recommend the malatang. They have a tendency to overseason their food (I thought the beef tartare bibimbap was a little too seasoned) but that's how it usually is at pochas. Service is generally good and the place is VERY big so there's usually never a wait, which is really nice. I do want to come back to try the donkatsu and naengmyeon. Apparently there are mixed reviews but I'll be the judge of that once I try it. It's a good place to grab drinks, food with good company and it definitely is putting other pochas in danger. Come try them out!

We came to this place as the bossam was recommended to us. We came around 8:30 and it was pretty empty. We got seated right away and then ordered the food with drinks. There are some foods that are not pictured but the ones that stood out to me were the bossam, beef tartare, and the rose tteoboki. We got the corn cheese, the tteoboki on a stick, and the fish cake soup, which were all pretty average. The bossam though was really good. The rose tteoboki was nice and creamy with a chewy texture, and the beef tartare was cold and came with avocado. The foods were good but nothing wow. The way you get a server is by pressing a button, and although it sounds convenient at first, I personally felt like we were annoying them. When they brought out the shot glasses, one was cracked so we had to get it switched. To get more water we also had to ask for it. And then when the fish came soup was brought out, no bowls or ladles were given so we also had to ask for that again as well. All in all, the service wasn't bad but it definitely could have been better. This does seem like a cool place to get drinks with friends, however i also think it is more on the expensive side of things for food.

Food quality and portion was worth the price. Very fun and aesthetic place to drink and snack with friends. They have neon signs and K-pop playing on big screens. The food is easy and good for sharing. They also have cocktails and soju. Our server was very efficient, and he tried his best to accommodate all our requests.

Great spot for an after work drink and dinner. I've been a few times and tried different things, and it is consistently good. I have not had anything that didn't taste great. Very cute decor a lot of cute places for photo ops.

The food is decent, but the service was so bad. Bug on my plate, cracked shot glasses, and no one seemed to care. I won't go again

When I opened the omurice, the rich egg and cheese aroma covered the entire dish, and every spoonful of rice was full of flavor. The sweet and tangy fried chicken skewers were also delicious. I also tried their mandu (beef dumplings) -- juicy and full of savory flavor. The second time, I ordered the Alfredo pasta, which had a strong creamy aroma and an addictive white sauce flavor. The only downside was the portion -- it was a bit small and disappeared too quickly!

Surprisingly, craving this got me to come back a second time. The Fire Chicken Omelette Ramen had the same presentation, but Buddok ramen instead of sushi rice. Disappointing, because I could have just made Buddok ramen at home. The Schewan noodles were not spicy nor tasty. Takoyaki was good, on a bed of potato fries. Would order again. For the Beef Bulgogi Cheese Fries, the bulgogi is good, the fries are not. These fries are from the frozen section at Costco, make no mistake. They are bland, 2/5 star fries. Even if the bulgogi was on top of better fries, the bulgogi is dry and the cheese on it isn't melty or saucy, so the fries and the topping don't mix together well. Just a pile of dry food.

Just a heads up so others don't get confused like I did. The place was pretty busy, which made it feel like a popular spot. The atmosphere was nice and everything looked clean and well kept. Even though it was crowded, our server was very friendly and attentive. They cooked the meat right at the table, which made the experience better. The fried rice (볶음밤) they made on the grill at the end, especially with the pork belly, was honestly the best part. Overall, really enjoyed it and would definitely come back.

My partner and I came in around roughly 9:50-10pm. When we arrived we're were initially informed that we had to order soon because they were closing in 30 minutes and were understandings of that. Shortly after we were seated, (literally 1-2 minutes) about 3 employees came to our table letting us know we needed to order within the next few minutes. It was like 10:05. I tried asking one of the employee what the meat options were and was just interrupted by him being persistent in us ordering and did not really answer our questions, mainly because I noticed some of the meat options were pork and I do not consume pork for personal reasons. My partner and I felt overwhelmed and just ordered something we thought would not include pork. After submitting our order another employee came by with the check already without us asking insisting for us to pay before our food even came out. Mind you the restaurant closed within 20 minutes at this point. When our food did come out, it did contain PORK!!! We just left shortly afterwards and left the food on the table.

This time, I brought my friend who has never had Korean bbq before for her to try. We went right when it opened so it was quiet. I told the server it was her first time and he was eager to explain everything to her. I don't think she was prepared at all what was about to grace our table He brought out a cart full of side dishes and start to explain what each one is along with the flavor profile. When he got to the scallion salad, she was just not loving it, but he told her to at least try and see what she thinks (don't knock it til you try it!) Then he said they're still getting the charcoal ready so it'll be a few more minutes and my friend's eyes just (like what?) So we start with trying a bite of all the sides. She enjoyed everything except the sliced onion salad. Surprisingly, she loved everything else, including the scallion salad! She's a texture eater, so I was weary of her trying the tofu, but she really enjoyed that too! So... the charcoal comes out, and she's just Then the server brings the grill with the cheesy corn, spicy bean sprout, and he poured in the eggs. Followed by the meats! Since she didn't really know what she likes, I made a few suggestions and the server suggests letting him bring us the most popular items first and we can work our way through the menu. What a great idea!! Started with brisket and ribeye and wow ... meats were fresh, paired with the sides, and the dipping sauces, it's just chef's kiss!! We then had bulgogi and pork belly and those were just bursting with flavor! The cheesy corn was good but burned too fast on the grill, the spicy bean sprouts are amazing, and the steam egg is my favorite . The only downside is that if you don't eat those sides that are cooking on the grill right away they'll turn dry and burned and it won't be as good. The cheesy corn also caused some splattering to our hands when we were cooking the meats. The server apologized for the oil splattering since he heard the squeal immediately soak up the oil from the cheesy corn so the splattering would stop. Overall, my friend gave it 10/10!!!
