If you are a fan of authentic Korean food, look no further. This place has decent soups (tangs) and stews as well as handmade scratch dumplings as appetizers. Nice chill spot to go by yourself or to meet a friend for a quick lunch or dinner. What stuck with me the most was the flavor of their kimchi and radish kimchi. Paired with ox tail soup I ordered, it complemented the soup nicely. The ambiance was quiet and seemed to be kept clean. The servers were friendly and checked up on us multiple times to make sure we had everything we needed without making us feel like they were hovering over us. Prices are super affordable compared to the portion sizes and how each dish tasted. This plaza offers plenty of free parking spaces. There are other interesting stores and restaurants you can check out next time too. Please give this place a try and let me know what you thought of it.

    Seollongtang and seafood pancake
    Vic N.

I came in on a weekday night and the restaurant was pretty empty. The space is large with plenty of seating. I ordered the seollongtang and the seafood pancake and they also serve two types of kimchi as side dishes. The kimchi was fresh but a bit bland. The seollongtang broth was rich and flavorful, with a good amount of meat. The seafood pancake was large but a bit soggy for my preference - I usually like it crispier. I can't say much about the service, as the servers seemed busy socializing as it was slow. We had to flag them down when we needed something. They might be more attentive on busier days. Overall, it's not a bad spot for Korean food. I hope they maintain the quality.

Korean food, focus is on soups and monduk (dumplings). Wife's birthday dinner with 6 folks. Everything tasted good. Soups were all good to great. Quality was tops. Monduk were homemade and amazing. I especially liked the kimchi monduk. Service was good. Ambiance was nothing special, but clean and neat. Why not 5 stars? I'm not a soup guy. I want a bigger variety. Nothing wrong with anything we tried off of the menu, just too much soup for me. However, if you like Korean soups, give this place a shot.

We love their food and kimchi here! Its been our goto quick Korean food spot to grab some food. My husband loves getting the Seolleongtang that's clean but has lot of depth. Some of my favs are Naengmyeon when I want something cold or Kal-guksu when I want something warm. The noodle textures are great and made in the house! For appetizer, we usually get their house made gogi dumplings, which are filling and delicious!

    Raw beef bibimbop

Fast service, fair prices, and good food. They're top 3 Korean spots for freshly made kimchi, which is my favorite side dish of all time. The 육회 비빔밥 (raw beef bibimbop) is a great traditional dish, as it doesn't skimp on the stronger flavors like shiitake. The seafood pancake is crispy but thick, so it's moist on the inside and loaded with squid, octopus, leek, onion, and bell peppers. My friends got the tendon soup and 육개장 (spicy beef stew?) which I tasted and were good, though the latter was better.

The kimchi is one of the best parts of this restaurant. It's so fresh and tastes like my grandma's! I came for lunch and was seated immediately. They are known for their seol-leong-tang. It was so delicious, yummy, and rich. The soup was filled with lots of meat. I'd say this place trumps other restaurants around the area selling the same soup. I'll definitely be back!

TLDR: 4.5/5 very tender kalbitang, flavorful and clean soup. Kimchi was fresh and really good. Came here for a large group meal and was in the mood for soup. The kalbitang looked and tasted very clean, with the beef itself falling off the bone and wasn't dry at all. Star of the show was the kimchi which was less fermented than most places but was very well seasoned. Complimentary barley tea as most Korean places do. Many of the servers mainly speak Korean so sometimes communication was a bit difficult but that's how it goes at an authentic Korean restaurant in Duluth. Would come again to try the kalbijim to compare to Jangsujang

This restaurant, formerly known as Sam's 수산시장, has been radically transformed into a Korean traditional restaurant, so we were curious to visit for the first time. The space itself felt lively and energetic, filled with both customers and servers moving about, which gave the restaurant a vibrant atmosphere. We were seated in a more private room for the four of us, which we appreciated for conversation and comfort. We ordered the 만두전골, which we enjoyed overall. The dish was comforting and satisfying; However, the dining experience was unfortunately diminished by inconsistent service. At one point, the waitress did not respond to our questions at all. While it's understandable that a server may not always have an immediate answer, not responding felt discourteous. One of our friends, who asked the question, felt particularly upset because it seemed as though his concern was simply ignored. Although another waiter later tried to make up for the situation, the service left much to be desired. In addition, we felt that the food was somewhat overpriced for the overall experience. Given the intense and competitive nature of the restaurant industry today, service quality plays a crucial role in whether customers return. With some improvements in staff responsiveness and a slight adjustment in pricing, this restaurant could position itself more strongly. Without those changes, it may be difficult to sustain momentum in such a competitive market.

Wholeheartedly agree with Gina C - that kimchi was the highlight! So tasty - and you know it's fresh b/c it arrives whole! Hours later, and I can still remember the flavors - it's that memorable! Their radish kimchi is pretty good too - nice and crunchy. Just two banchan - honestly you don't need more than that b/c the quality is so good, and they pair well w/ the soups here. I think the restaurant is pretty new - the space feels like your typical casual Korean restaurant. The servers are very nice. GALBI TANG - $19.99 I debated between w/ the sul-lung-tang ($14.99), galbi-tang ($19.99), and oxtail ($24.99) ... then between the first two. Our server said go for the galbi-tang. Great choice - I was pleasantly surprised how much meat was in there, so tender, no cow smell, and it tasted even better w/ the dipping sauce. Broth was good - hint of sweetness too. Only extras in the broth was green onions. And it comes w/ a bowl of rice. One friend got the Bibim Naengmyun + Galbi combo ($24.99) - she said the bibim naengmyun was good (it looked really good!) and she was surprised she got so many noodles and thought the galbi was just ok. Portion was great. My other friend got the Nae Jang Tang ($19.99) - she thought it was good too. The broth was good but I didn't bother tasting the ingredients b/c I'm not a fan of beef intestines and beef tripe, lol. Overall great spot for Korean food esp. if you love meat soups and stews. I'd like to try the sul-lung-tang or bibim naeng myun next time based on the other reviews. And yes a return visit just to savor their homemade kimchi again! UPDATE 7/26/25 Hmmm 2nd visit not so good. The broth for the Seol Leong Tang ($14.99) and Mandu Guk ($18.99) was not good at all and had a peculiar flavor ... the beef quality in my Seol Leong Tang was not good either. However my friend said her kimchi mandu was very good though. And the kimchi did not have the same memorable flavor like our first visit. Maybe today was an off day? Service was very friendly and good though.

    LA Galbi

I'm not sure where to start... I visited on a whim, and I'm glad I did. The interior didn't leave much of an impression: lots of wood and spacious. It was clean though. The service was friendly, the food came out pretty quick too. Even if the food took a while, it wouldn't really matter because the food would be good. We got the gopchang jeongol (beef tripe hot pot), which can feed 2-4 depending on how much a person eats, mul naengmyeon (cold noodles) with LA Galbi, and dolsot bibimbap (stone pot mixed rice). All very delicious and something I would order again. I especially liked the mul naengmyun here because of the amount of sliced pears. It added a sweetness and crunch to the broth along with the cucumbers that I found very enjoyable. So much so that out of everything, I forgot to take a photo of it! It was very refreshing and bright (add vinegar and/or mustard to liking), and it felt like I ordered extra noodles when I didn't. I can find no faults. The kimchi here is also very fresh! Good crunch, a spice level I love, pairing nicely with the meal.

Was a cloudy day, felt like getting soup so I got seolluntang ($14?) and my husband got kalguksu($16?). Broth was so good and soothing. I like that you can add salt and pepper to taste so I could adjust to my preference. There was actually a good amount of meat in it and noodles too. It comes with a bowl of rice. Kimchi was so fresh and tasty. Would definitely come again, so happy I decided to try this place!!

You know you are at a legit Korean spot if most of the patrons are old Koreans. Love this place. Their kimchi is prob the best in ATL restaurants. Service is top tier.

Surprisingly, craving this got me to come back a second time. The Fire Chicken Omelette Ramen had the same presentation, but Buddok ramen instead of sushi rice. Disappointing, because I could have just made Buddok ramen at home. The Schewan noodles were not spicy nor tasty. Takoyaki was good, on a bed of potato fries. Would order again. For the Beef Bulgogi Cheese Fries, the bulgogi is good, the fries are not. These fries are from the frozen section at Costco, make no mistake. They are bland, 2/5 star fries. Even if the bulgogi was on top of better fries, the bulgogi is dry and the cheese on it isn't melty or saucy, so the fries and the topping don't mix together well. Just a pile of dry food.

Shortly after we were seated, (literally 1-2 minutes) about 3 employees came to our table letting us know we needed to order within the next few minutes. It was like 10:05. I tried asking one of the employee what the meat options were and was just interrupted by him being persistent in us ordering and did not really answer our questions, mainly because I noticed some of the meat options were pork and I do not consume pork for personal reasons. My partner and I felt overwhelmed and just ordered something we thought would not include pork. After submitting our order another employee came by with the check already without us asking insisting for us to pay before our food even came out. This time, I brought my friend who has never had Korean bbq before for her to try. We went right when it opened so it was quiet. I told the server it was her first time and he was eager to explain everything to her. I don't think she was prepared at all what was about to grace our table He brought out a cart full of side dishes and start to explain what each one is along with the flavor profile. When he got to the scallion salad, she was just not loving it, but he told her to at least try and see what she thinks (don't knock it til you try it!) Then he said they're still getting the charcoal ready so it'll be a few more minutes and my friend's eyes just (like what?) So we start with trying a bite of all the sides. She enjoyed everything except the sliced onion salad. Surprisingly, she loved everything else, including the scallion salad! She's a texture eater, so I was weary of her trying the tofu, but she really enjoyed that too! So... the charcoal comes out, and she's just Then the server brings the grill with the cheesy corn, spicy bean sprout, and he poured in the eggs. Followed by the meats! Since she didn't really know what she likes, I made a few suggestions and the server suggests letting him bring us the most popular items first and we can work our way through the menu. What a great idea!! Started with brisket and ribeye and wow ... meats were fresh, paired with the sides, and the dipping sauces, it's just chef's kiss!! We then had bulgogi and pork belly and those were just bursting with flavor! The cheesy corn was good but burned too fast on the grill, the spicy bean sprouts are amazing, and the steam egg is my favorite . The only downside is that if you don't eat those sides that are cooking on the grill right away they'll turn dry and burned and it won't be as good. The cheesy corn also caused some splattering to our hands when we were cooking the meats. The server apologized for the oil splattering since he heard the squeal immediately soak up the oil from the cheesy corn so the splattering would stop. Overall, my friend gave it 10/10!!!

There is a lot that was questionable throughout our service that would make me unlikely to return, however. Service itself was okay. All they have to do is bring meats to the grill, but that grill heats up really quickly and caked up really fast to the point that after every grill it needed to be replaced. From the pictures alone, you can see that there are lower 'sides' around the grill, which limits the space you can use for the grill without having meat drippings in your sides. We did not touch the "steamed egg" for this reason. Also, they only had exactly one soup and one ice cream available although the menu specifies there's a choice . There isn't. The soup was not up to standard and I didn't like my flavor of ice cream but again, no options. I did not like this "all-you-can-eat" style for the price point when there are so many similar priced options available in the area. Ordering a la carte would have been way more expensive. While the meat was tender, the fact that I could not move meat off of the direct point of fire (no sides) meant that every meat overcooked and burned very quickly.
