This visit was awesome. James helped us out and helped us have a great time and eat very well. The place also was very clean.

    Brownie Sunday ($9)

I will start off by saying I eat a lot of Korean bbq and Japanese bbq so I have a bit of a higher standard when it comes to meat quality. For Thrill KBBQ in Buford it's a $50 AYCE dinner on Saturday and Sunday which in this economy is a good value for how much food you can get; unlimited drink refills, side dishes, appetizers, and meat. Now I'd give their meat rating a 4/5 stars because I think it's pretty standard, MUCH better than Iron Age or EM Bop in Duluth- but not super great like Wagyu house atl or kangs bbq in Duluth which are about $10-ish more than thrill. However, I'm giving 5 stars overall due to value and the brownie Sunday at the end made me pretty happy :D Our server was quick and attentive so I was fine with our service. he wasn't super outgoing or talkative just very straight to the point which is fine with me but some people who are looking for a nicer experience may feel otherwise- as some people like super friendly servers. The interior is very nice, it's a nice clean modern aesthetic I'd say this place would be great for a birthday dinner or any other special gatherings. Overall I like this place a lot I'd definitely come back with family and I highly recommend this place to any other Buford/lawrenceville locals!

I dined in at Thrill Korean Steak and Bar with my family (party of 6) on a Saturday afternoon around 2 PM. We did not have a reservation and were able to sit immediately. The inside decor was very beautiful and it had an upscale vibe. The inside was not crowded and their was a view of the bar from our seats. I noticed the array of top shelf spirit choices as well as the length of the bar area and seats available. We opted for the All You Can Eat option (soft drinks included) and it was about $50 per person plus a 20% automatic gratuity. The all you can eat options included salads, broccoli, kimchee, sauces, appetizers and meats. I did find this location more pricey than other similar Korean BBQ options and felt like we had to enjoy rounds of denver steak to feel like we received our money worth. To me they had limited meat choices (mostly chicken, pork and beef), whereas I was expecting a few additional cuts such as short ribs and ribeye steak (although the Denver steak was like getting some sort of ribeye). My favorites were the korean fried chicken (spicy), denver steak and the beef bulgogi. The cajun shrimp was also good. The server was friendly, kept our drinks filled remembered to clear our plates regularly and helped with cooking our meats. Overall, it was a nice experience and the food was good, I just desired more premium meats for the price we paid.

We've been to this location a couple times and I have to say service is good. They actually cook the meats for us the entire time which is very nice. It is a little bit pricier than other places around but AYCE also includes a soft drink which is nice. My favorite appetizers they offer are the fried dumplings, Korean fried chicken, rice cakes and corn cheese. They also have the usual banchan but my favorite is the green onion salad. Sooo good! For protein they offer a little bit of everything. Beef, pork, chicken, seafood... The quality of the meat is okay. My favorite is the Thrill Steak Medallions. Very tender! I also celebrated my birthday here and they gave me a free dessert which I really appreciated! The place itself is so nice. Looks so fancy and clean including the bathrooms and also plenty of parking!

    Crispy friend dumplings. Perfect!

We hit up Thrill, the new all-you-can-eat Korean BBQ spot at the Exchange near the Mall of Georgia, on St. Patrick's Day to load up on food before a night of green beer and shenanigans. Walking in on a Monday around 5pm, I was pleasantly surprised, it wasn't busy at all, and our server gave us their full attention which made the whole vibe relaxed and easygoing. The food? Fantastic. The protein selection was seriously impressive, and we made it our mission to get our money's worth. Between the two of us, we probably demolished close to $50 (if not more) in food, and at their price, that's a win! My absolute favorites were the bulgogi (so tender), the Hawaiian steak (sweet and savory perfection), the pork belly (crisp and fatty in all the right ways), and the fried dumplings (crunchy little bites of joy). What blew my mind was that the sides and appetizers are all-you-can-eat too, didn't see that coming, and it leveled up the whole deal. The place itself is spanking new, spotless, and honestly, the furnishings and accents feel upscale. It felt like a slice of Atlanta's posh scene dropped right into Buford. For a bedroom community, this is a game-changer. No need to brave 20 miles of traffic for a fancy meal when you've got this gem (couldn't get through a review without using the word gem) right here. I meant to snap some food pics, but it was so good we inhaled it before I could even grab my phone. Next time, I'll try to show some restraint for the Yelp crew. Can't wait to come back!

I really wanted to love this place. First of all I'm Korean. The place was so swanky and we loved the decor. Second it's all you can eat. I was not prepared for it. We were seated by the manager and I told him I was yelping. You would think we would get great service. Well no. We ordered apps and got them almost near the end of the meal. Yes I have been to Korean Bbq but we're not told how this restaurant does it. You can order any meats and any apps. The bonchon was sparse. Not a huge variety. And we asked for 2 things to refill, again took a while. We asked for rice right after the first meats can out. We had about 4 different servers, meat turners and we never got the rice till the end with the apps. The meats were good. We had the brisket, kalbi, shrimp- which was weird. Blackened. We also had the spicy bulgogi. That was my favorite. When the apps came the wontons were store bought not made there, too much veggies in them. The chicken was like unflavored chicken bits fried with a sauce pour led in the middle. It was not even with the taste. It was not very crowded so not sure why the service was so slow and scattered. So many good Korean in Georgia so will not be back. It was 49.99 with soft drinks. Does not include dessert.

This all-you-can-eat Korean BBQ restaurant has a trendy and nice decor, making it a great spot for a fun dining experience. We ordered several pitchers of alcoholic beverages, and they refilled them and the side dishes very quickly. The AYCE menu offers plenty of meat choices. I also appreciated that the servers cooked the meat for us and ensured everything was done right - whether you're a Yelper or not! It's a great place for small parties and groups, with good service and a lively atmosphere.

I absolutely loved this place. Immediately when you come in the door the layout of the grills/tables were very open which I appreciated. The decor gave a very elegant feel. Our servers were attentive and helpful when we had any questions about the menu and was able to recommend the best meats. The best meat we had was their bone in galbi and their thinly sliced brisket. We enjoyed their unlimited side but our favorites were the green onion salad, ramen and pasta salad. Food was delicious and served was great. I have been to four different Korean BBQ restaurants and this one is by far my favorite one.

I'll start out by saying, I wish I would have taken more pictures. Everything about this place was extraordinary. To the service, the food and the ambiance. I was at a company party and I felt so comfortable and at home here. Let's dissect it bit by bit. Ambiance: the place is 3 months old with a new KBBQ vibe. It's very clean and they never reuse plates. Everything about this place is clean and new Service: Joe was excellent. I can count on my hands how many times you come across extraordinary servers and Joe was absolutely one of them. Very personable, attentive and kind. Ask for him, he won't let you down. Food: Monday-Friday 11-3pm is all you can eat appetizers, soft drinks, sides and meats for $25. Lately I've been to a few places that charge you that for a bowl of food and a soft drink so this to me was well worth it. Each plate was delicious and Joe gave us wonderful recommendations each time. Overall 10 out of 10. My husband and I LOVE the honeypig in pleasant hill but this just became our new favorite.

I went to thrill for $25 ayce for lunch. The meat quality were good, I cut and cooked my own meats, server helped as well. The side dishes complemented the meal well, offering a good variety. Removal of stars is our server stopped attending to us after about 45 minutes, which was confusing, especially since the place was quite empty for lunch. It would have been nice to have more consistent service. Overall, the food was good, but the lack of attention left us leaving looking more to eat after.

The dining area looked clean and well-kept, and the hostess/cashier was genuinely friendly--she took the time to walk us through the menu, drinks, sauces, and even the different pickles, which I appreciated. We ordered the brisket, ribs, mac & cheese, green beans, two sauces (both free), house and spicy pickles (also free), and a Banana Cream Soda. 2 Slices of Brisket - $9 (3.5/5): The brisket was solid overall--tender with a nice, juicy interior and a lightly smoky aroma that came through in each bite. It wasn't dry at all, which is always a win, though it could've had a bit more depth in flavor on its own. That said, it really came alive when paired with the spicy sauce, which added a bold, tangy kick that elevated the meat nicely. 2 Pork Spare Ribs - $7 (4/5): These were definitely a highlight. The ribs were beautifully seasoned with a savory, slightly sweet rub that formed a flavorful crust on the outside. The meat was incredibly tender--so much so that it fell clean off the bone with just a fork, no effort needed. Juicy, rich, and super satisfying, especially with the spicy sauce adding an extra layer of heat and tang. Mac & Cheese - $4.50 (4/5): Very impressive side. The spiral noodles were cooked perfectly--tender but still holding their shape, not mushy at all. What stood out most was the texture: there was a subtle crunch on top, possibly from a light breadcrumb or rice-based topping, which added a nice contrast. The cheese sauce was creamy, rich, and coated every curve of the spirals, so each bite had these little pockets of cheesy goodness that almost "popped" with flavor. The sprinkle of green onions on top added a fresh, slightly sharp brightness that cut through the richness and made the dish feel surprisingly refreshing. Green Beans - $4.50 (3.5/5): These had a great bite to them--crisp-tender with a fresh, vibrant texture. The seasoning was flavorful with a savory base, but what surprised me most was the subtle heat that built up as you ate more. It wasn't overpowering, just a nice, unexpected kick that made them more interesting than your typical side. House Pickles (free) - 2/5: These were very crunchy and had a sharp, vinegary tang that leaned heavily on the sour side. While they were fresh and crisp, the flavor felt a bit one-dimensional and overly acidic for my taste. Spicy Pickles (free) - 4/5: Much better balance here. Still nice and crunchy with that same sour backbone, but the added heat gave them a bold, zesty edge that made them way more enjoyable. The spice lingered just enough to keep you reaching for another. Banana Cream Soda - $2 (2.5/5): This was light, fizzy, and refreshing with a smooth, slightly creamy mouthfeel. The banana flavor was present but very subtle--more of a faint, artificial sweetness than a rich, ripe banana taste. It leaned more toward a mellow vanilla-cream soda vibe with just a hint of banana in the background. Not bad, just a bit underwhelming if you're expecting a bold, dessert-like banana flavor. Overall, a solid BBQ spot with friendly service and some standout items--especially the ribs and mac & cheese. Definitely worth checking out if you're in the mood for a laid-back, no-frills lunch.

Banchan offered are japchae, corn cheese, kimchi, sesame broccoli, pickled radishes, egg soufflé and rice. Japchae, sesame broccoli and egg soufflé was tasty. I wasn't a fan of the corn cheese as it came out in these little aluminum cups with cheese on top and it's left on the grill until the cheese melts. The service is good. You cook the meat yourselves here, but our server came around to take our orders and change the grills pretty often. 985 also offers a ramen bar for an additional cost at the center of the restaurant. They have a ton of ramen options for you to choose from and various toppings to add a la carte. Overall, it's a decent AYCE KBBQ at a good value.
