I immediately tracked them down on social media and signed up for emails. The first email advertisement that caught my eye was for pimento cheese and bacon stuffed wagyu burgers. What?! Sign me up! The desire to check these out only intensified when a friend posted pics of the ones that she purchased and cooked. I immediately begged the hubby to grab some for an upcoming Friday night dinner. Brought the meat back the next business day, no apology, exchanged the meat for another, hopefully fresh, pack. When I first walked in, staff was curt and not particularly pleasant. Once I explained what was going on, he seemed more annoyed at having to do the exchange than apologetic for having sold an expired product. At first I thought this is just how they are, but then other customers walked in, and they were greeted and polite pleasantries exchanged. All of these other customers were African American, I was the only Asian in the store. I felt I was treated less well because of the color of my skin. Will never return to to this store again. The fish tacos are not listed on the menu but they will make them for your. They are grilled and not fried. That was a bonus. The best part is the tortillas which are homemade. We watched as the woman made each one from scratch. You can definitely taste the difference so it will be hard to go back to packaged tortillas. The biggest complaint was the staff was not very welcoming. Not rude at all but nothing friendly either.
