Pretty cool little place. They grind fresh meat daily and all the cuts on display looked great. The sea food on hand was all frozen. Butcher is on hand and friendly. I will be back frequently.

Best Ribeye ever ! Always top notch!

Ever since I bought my first ribeye from here I can't buy steak anywhere else, it's just not the same! It literally melts in your mouth!

I want to share my honest experience so others can make an informed decision…read more A week ago, bad weather kept my usual meat delivery guy from coming, so I called Wilkes Meats. I told the owner I normally buy a month's worth of steaks at a time. He quoted me a price over the phone that was much higher than what I usually pay, so I told him I'd call back. About ten minutes later, he called me saying he was closing early because of the weather and offered me approximately 26 steaks for $445. I agreed. When I arrived, the first red flag was that there was no meat in the display cases at all. He brought out a whole cut to show me before slicing it. While cutting, he wore no gloves, which I noticed, but I figured I would wash the steaks at home anyway. That night, I cooked one steak. It had a strange smell--different from anything I've ever gotten from my usual supplier. I thought maybe it was my air fryer, even though I always cook steaks the same way. About ten minutes after eating, I had diarrhea and vomiting. The next day I still felt sick, so I only ate bread. The following day, I tried another steak. Same smell. Same reaction--immediate vomiting and diarrhea. That's when I realized the meat was the problem. I threw the rest away. I called the owner to explain what happened. As I'm telling him everything, he's quiet. Then he says, "Come up Monday and we can work something out." I told him I didn't want more meat from him--why would I risk getting sick again. His response was basically that replacing the meat was all he could offer. I told him I would dispute the charge with American Express and leave an honest review. He said "OK," so here I am. I spent $445 on steaks that made me sick twice and ended up in the trash. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this place. If you buy in bulk, be aware: in my opinion, it felt like I was given older meat they were trying to get rid of. A butcher doesn't want to throw out product, and unfortunately, I believe that's exactly what happened here. I'm not a butcher or a competitor--just a customer sharing what happened. If you can, avoid this place, especially for bulk purchases.

Wow! It's places like these that make me realize the importance of my role as a Yelp Eliter/…read moreAllstar. This place is a local GEM. Plain and simple. And it's OUR jobs to shed light on these fabulous small businesses! What I miss most about my college/ grad school towns, is the quaint, small-town, community-supported vibes you get and the connection you are able to form with your community by not only shopping locally but by building a relationship with the people and places you live. Not only is Haven a delicious, well-serviced food spot, it is a community gathering home of unparalleled service, inviting you to connect. I drove across town 30-minutes at rush hour just to make it here for a dinner sandwich, before closing. It was SO worth it. I bought a delicious Cinnamon Danish Pastry and their Signature Turkey Pesto Sandwich-- a popular one! The Owner, Umberto let me taste their homemade Hibicious Lemonade Mix, which was delightful. I can't wait to point friends, family, and fans here to say Haven is SO "WORTH THE DRIVE," and it's going to keep you coming back for more! Congrats on surviving and THRIVING in your first year, Haven. Cheers to many more to come!! Looking forward to joining you guys on one of your last-Fridays of the month events: music, dancing, charcuterie, and wine-- one of these days! EVERYONE Come check them out

I have come here to just chill on the couch, get work done, or take a look at the food and drinks! I decided to try this sandwich and it was made very fresh! I'm not the biggest fan of all the cheese (just not for me), but I was a big fan of the sourdough bread!! I would go back for their cookies/brownies or to just chill inside and enjoy the vibes! The service is also super patient and welcoming also! I will be back again and again!!

This last visit was unbelievable! My pickup orders said it would be ready at 3:30... I arrived around 3:48 giving them extra time to have it ready and it is now 4:18... order is still NOT ready! It's unbelievable. This also seems to be a reoccurring thing that happens with other locations and I really believe it's an internal training issue with the sandwich making. No way you can tell me sandwiches take this long to make smh I think this is my sign to make my own sandwiches at home in the new year. Not worth the hassle. I will probably not return here for a while either. But their selection on actual food items isn't too bad.

There was 1 woman in front of me & the lady making her sandwich took 10-15 minutes just for TWO sandwiches. After the lady was done making her sandwiches she went somewhere in the back and left me waiting. Meanwhile there was a man making sandwiches for the mobile orders and he just left me unattended and didn't even acknowledge me until I asked him if there was anyone still making sandwiches. Wouldn't recommend going here for the deli section unless you want to wait a bit.

I had 1/2 of my husband's blackberry cobbler with ice cream which was a huge serving that definitely to be shared. My husband enjoyed his chicken pot pie, sweet potato soufflé and broccoli casserole. I like how the restaurant got a perfect score on their inspection report, something to be proud of! Food was out in a jiffy and it was not crowded on a Thursday at 5:30 pm so we got a parking spot out front, but front lot was full by the time we left. Our server filled my husband's drink at least twice and brought me a second lemonade and even offered me one to go.
