JS International Grill is a vibe. Delicious food, chill ambiance, and great service. Kicked off my time with their samosas. Tried the beef, chicken, and salmon one - chicken was definitely my favorite. All of them had the perfect consistency and crunch. For the entree had the jerk chicken with lobster Mac and cheese on the side. Both were well seasoned and delicious. I'd definitely visit again. read more

Okay y'all! So bae and I went to Dallas and we had to come and try this place because it's highly recommended on TikTok. We finally made it. We ordered via online and realized they relocated. Of course we had to order multiple things to get a feel of their consistency. LET'S GET RIGHT INTO IT; We ordered the Pineapple Juice - (8/10) : The juice was good Hisbicus Tea - (4/10) : The tea was made with cane sugar; that defeated the purpose of a healthy and delicious tea. I really wanted it to be made with agave or date syrup. Side of Cabbage- (4/10) : Cabbage was very bland for fried cabbage, its wasn't seasoned at all and it wasn't cooked through enough to my liking. Side of Fried Brussel Sprouts - (7/10) : Brussel Sprouts were decent and actually seasoned. They just weren't mind blowingly good so a 7 was the best I could give it. Vegan Jerk Oxtail with Mushroom Rice - (8/10) : This right here was great however it was giving more vegan meatloaf then it was oxtail. We had to think of it as a meatloaf for us to be fully satisfied with the flavor. Overall though it was good and we enjoyed it. Vegan Lobster Mac and Cheese - (9/10) : This was the STAR of the show. It was delicious, creamy and the lobster pieces actually were giving lobster lowkey. We enjoyed this one the most and would return just to get this. The Ambiance of the restaurant was cool and definitely would be worth sitting in and enjoying the meals. The decor was decent inside and inside the bathroom, however, the bathroom needs to be upgraded. My rating... DEFINITELY would recommend the Lobster Mac and Cheese, we will return to get it again and maybe try another vegan option. I would totally recommend, GO TRY IT OUT! They also have non-vegan options that others rave about! read more

Tried Js International Grill for the first time, and overall, it was a solid experience. The seafood and meat were seasoned really well -- very flavorful. I ordered the seafood beef nachos, and both the shrimp and the beef were the bomb. The only downside for me was the queso cheese. Unfortunately, it was very bland and didn't add much to the dish. I'd give the seafood beef nachos a 6/10, mainly because the proteins were so good. I'll definitely be back to try the pasta and see what else they have to offer. read more

I was actually in the area to try out another establishment. That establishment was not open. I ended up here because I had it on the list to try out in the future. I believe everything happens as it is aligned. I am so happy that I ended up here. The atmosphere, food, service, and experience was top notch! Lani is the most fabulous server and she made my sister and I feel right at home. The atmosphere is so laid back and inviting. The music sets a great tone. The food is more than just good. It is flavorful, well prepared, and stays on your mind well after the experience. Looking forward to the next time. This is what I had: Jollof: 10/10 Savory, spices, full of flavor Egusi and pounded yam: 10/10 Flavorful, authentic, palette pleasing Jerk Chicken: 10/10 Smokey, flavorful, savory, on point Brussel sprouts: Well cooked, savory, flavorful Seafood Mac and Cheese: Creamy, gooey, party in your mouth Putain de Bordel: Stout, perfect blend, quenching read more

Catching up with one of my girlfriends!! Hadn't seen each other in a year & a half and it's always love!!! We had a late lunch at @jsinternationalgrill in Richardson, TX! I ordered the Vegan Curry Chicken, Veggie Rice and Cabbage + Vegan Mac & Spinach! My friend got the Lamb with Mushroom Rice and Cabbage! I also had a Mango- Passion fruit drink! Everything was so rich in flavor and I absolutely love the ambiance! This is their 2nd location. I am familiar with the location in the DeSoto Marketplace! I love the growth! The menu has something for everyone to enjoy! Great for date nights as well! Black Owned of course & it's Keith Lee approved!! LOL @keith_lee125 Side note: Im glad & happy to report that Half Price Book Store is not supporting the ban on the OUR history books! So, I had to throw that in there as well! EEEEEEEEK. I went back and forth wondering if I should write a review since I received this food via Uber Eats. I decided to proceed with the review as the poor rating has nothing to do with the temperature or freshness of this meal. So, here we are. It's hard to find a good, fall-off-the-bone turkey leg in restaurant here in DFW, so when I saw this option on J's International Grill, & was flabbergasted. The restaurant is only 10 minutes from my house, but I was feeling a little lazy, so I ordered the turkey leg stuffed with mac & cheese via the app. Ya'll, what a mistake. The turkey leg was extremely dry---dryer than my 9-year-old nephew's dinner conversation. It tasted as if it was severely overcooked, but strangely, it didn't look that way. And the mac, just made it worse. Although it was creamy, it didn't take like mac & cheese. Perhaps, I wasn't used to that type of flavor, but it was a total miss for us. Sadly, we were not able to identify the reason for the bast taste, but my husband and I each took a bite and ended up disposing of it. $30ish down the drain. The turkey leg is raved about in the other reviews, so I was confused as what happened to mine. A 2-rating seemed fair since I didn't visit the restaurant but unfortunately, the leg and mac were the worst we've ever tasted. read more

Food was so good. It's a small cozy spot playing carribean tunes, not loud enough to drown you out. Service was good, my drinks came pretty slow. My alcoholic beverage came out with the food. Ordered the wee Oxtail and lobster mac. It was so good. I will admit the oxtails were pretty small but very flavorful. Also ordered the stuffed Ed turkey leg with lobster pasta and it did not disappoint. So well seasoned with meat falling off the bone. The tequila mockingbird was delicious, light & refreshing. I'd definitely return and try something else bc they had soo many things we wanted to try. Also ordered a side of jollof rice to go that came out smelling amazing: 4 stars bc my drinks took so long and my oxtails were small. Portion size is good Flavor is good Service is good read more

A disappointed with the red snapper which was real small and cabbage. Not seeing the value in the price but I love red snapper and have had it often. It was really hot and I mentioned it to the waiter who didn't seem bothered. A few of us were hot in there but I just ended up asking for ice in my water. read more

This place is a definite NO for me! I've had a lot of jerk chicken and this in fact is the worse I've had. If I could sum it up in one word it would be DRY. The rice was dry and clumpy, the chicken was dry and flavorless....the season was only on the outside. The chicken was more like jerky. The rice didn't have any flavor and tasted like oil. I didn't order the Alfredo sauce but they gave it to me anyway.....probably because they knew it was dry. ALSO, the Alfredo came in a bowl without a top, it was covered in foil so some of it spilled out. I mean who sends food out like that? All in all, I wouldn't give this another try. I usually give second chances but I was so hungry and couldn't even eat it. FYI.... I ordered this around 4pm so there isn't a reason to receive old food. Really disappointing to waste $23 and still hungry as if I didn't order anything. read more

Great service, great food, great atmosphere. The goat curry was good, although the goat could have been slightly more tender but the flavor was great. The jollof rice was spicy and delicious. Went on a Saturday night and the dine-in was almost empty. After trying the food, I am very confused as to why that is the case. They have an extensive vegan menu and they do not under deliver. The vegan veggie pasta comes with a creamy alfredo sauce and the jerk "chicken" with mushroom wild rice was seasoned very well. I would definitely try to come back. The interior is decorated nicely and staff is friendly. I would recommend the business to have their store sign light up, as it was a bit hard to find the place in the complex at night. My husband, son, and I went to this place for dinner on Saturday night. I must admit - We were a little suspect when we got there. We were the only people there - besides another couple. Yikes! Under normal circumstances, we would turn and walk out. Howsineva, we decided to stay and give it a shot. Glad we did!!! The food was GREAT! We had the Jerk Chicken Wings as an appetizer --- DELICIOUS! I had the Stuffed Turkey Legs Plate --- DELICIOUS! My husband and son (with a takeout for our other son) had the Jerk Oxtail Plates (1/2 Dirty Rice / 1/2 Mac & Cheese) --- DELICIOUS! We will definitely be back! There are sooo many other menu items I/we'd like to try. I only gave 4 Stars (vs 5) because of one quirky thing: They included gratuity in the check. We were not anticipating something like this with 3 of us in our party, and we ain't in Miami! But nonetheless... read more

I really wanted to love this restaurant. However, it fell short for me. Not sure if this location will make it. The owner and staff are very nice and pleasant. There were some good things. As far as my experience I was happy with some of the food. There were also just some ok things. Several things I wanted to try they didn't have so that wasn't good. Ambiance 4 STARS I like the inside it's clean and has a chill vibe to it. Decor fits the restaurant. Service/Staff 4 STARS Staff were pleasant and helpful. Food Breakdown: Pasta is 4 STARS! Lobster pasta is flavorful and well seasoned Ox Tails 3 STARS They were dry and the flavor was lacking. They were decent size, but overall disappointing. Cabbage 5 STARS This was some delicious cabbage. Some of the best I ever had. It was well seasoned and cooked to perfection. Drinks 4 STARS Tasty and truly enjoyed My friend ordered a turkey leg. Presentation was great and she thought it was good. Overall I had a good experience. I would rate it as average. I left somewhat satisfied. Until they have snapper or lobster I won't go back. I have tried to eat here several more times, but they never have those items available. I hope people go and support. I will check out the other location. read more

Saw this randomly one day and knew I had to check it out and I'm glad I did. This place did not disappoint. I went for lunch on a Saturday with a friend and was sat quickly. The hostess was super nice and answered all our questions. She was attentive throughout our service. The inside is set up like a standard restaurant but you can tell it can be converted to a lounge style place after hours or late night. The music being played was perfect (legit want the playlist) and wasn't too loud that you had to yell at your table mate. We ordered the Jerk Wings as an app and they were favorable and cooked perfectly. I got the smoked turkey leg with the creamy sausage pasta and it was perfection. The turkey was cooked perfectly and the pasta complimented it well. My friend got the Jerk Oxtail with shrimp pasta and what I had was good. The jerk flavor didn't really shine through in the oxtail but was still enjoyable. Overall I definitely recommend checking them out. Great selection of food, great prices for the portion sizes, and excellent service. read more

Customer Service is 5 stars. The gentleman that I spoke with over the phone was very personable and welcoming when I picked my order. We got the jerk chicken with jollof rice. It was a bit spicy for me but seasoning was still good overall. The chicken was really good. My husband got the dirty rice with his since he has a shellfish allergy and it was really good. My daughter got the curry chicken and she rated it a 3.5. She thinks the flavor could have been better. Overall, I give it a solid 4. Would definitely try again when in the area! read more

Came here for a musical event in which tickets were reserved and bought. We arrived and there were people sitting in our seats. When this was mentioned to the hostess, she pointed to another table however I told her that i paid for specific seats. In the end, only one lady moved where we still didn't have the seats we had paid for. As for the show, the music was wonderful however be prepared that there isn't a real stage so if you have a seat towards the back it may be obstructed. They also get you with doors open at an earlier time as they are wanting you to come in and order drinks & food. Sadly the service time was slow where I had to flag down the server and ask about where my drink was or how much longer for my food to come. As for the food and drinks, it was extremely over priced ($40 for 2 drinks & fries) and they automatically add gratuity. The lady sitting in my seat actually demanded a discount as she waited so long for her food to come and she proclaimed it was cold. As for parking, it's located in a plaza so there is plenty of free parking. I hope your experience is better than the one I had. read more

Second time trying J's international grill and it did not disappoint . I like the restaurants vibe here . The decor pops out when you walk in and the afrobeats playing adds a great touch. The two times I've been here, there was no line nor was it over crowded. Plenty of seating and bar area space to have a meal with family or friends . Multiple Tvs to watch the game and enjoy your meal. Waitresses were very knowledgeable of the menu and courteous. There was not a time where I felt like we weren't getting attended to properly. I've tried the salmon pasta with Mac and cheese and I've also tried the curry goat which was also good. Big portions and enough for a to go plate . Presentation of the meals are also underrated here . Very appealing to the eyes. Would highly recommend if you are in the Richardson area . read more

Ok the food is five stars! The oxtail is to die for. The jollof is spicy but very good. The cabbage is insanely good. The side of Alfredo to cool off the jollof and add a creamy decadence was awesome. Thanks for hooking that up. Ask for lunch portion and pricing because it's $12.99 for the Cajun chicken pasta and the ladies I went with liked that. But it's not on the menu! My major reason for deducting one star was the cleanliness and the ambiance. I enjoyed the music but the decor was very eccentric. There foodstuff stuck on the walls next to where we were sitting. Which needed a wipe down. The whole place needed a renovation tbh but the food definitely justifies it! Also for $30 for a plate, I'd expect it to be nicer inside. There was no bartender so they couldn't serve alcohol at lunch on Monday. I think you only have to be 18 to serve drinks so I don't understand. Anyway I'll definitely go back for the oxtail. read more

Yalllllll! *kid scream* listen!!!! If you're looking for something to completely broaden your taste buds this is the place... EVERYTHING IS COOKED TO ORDER! so don't be mad if your food comes out a little slow.. with that being said I had a specialty order, I'm lactose and tolerant. And when I asked if they used whole milk she informed me that that do, I quickly changed my mind but then she told me "we can make your pasta with oat milk" I jumped at the opportunity to taste something that I may or may not enjoy.. In the end I enjoyed it, I could even taste the milk in it .. you can also tell that everything was cooked separately! Nothing was thrown into the same pot which would make the whole meal taste the same! For example some places cook their fries and seafood in the same grease they would cook the meat/poultry in. But not this place you can tell. The ambiance is super chill with a nice playlist. Zuporah was our waitress! She was very knowledgeable, calm, soft spoken and upbeat. The cook/owner delivered our food to the table herself and we told her how amazing her food was! All this to say, we will be read more

A couple of us wanted to meet up and decided on this restaurant based on the reviews and the menu that we saw online. I must admit I am not a brunch person, so when we arrived on a Sunday and found out that's all that we could order from, I wasn't too excited. But, I did my research and looked at the menu beforehand, and I figured only brunch would be offered, so I was somewhat prepared...lol. There was 4 of and we got a little bit of everything, and all of it was good. I got the bowl with jerk chicken, and asked for a scrambled egg. I'm not an egg person either, but the combination of the egg, potatoes with the sauce, and the jerk chicken was fiyah. I also enjoyed the waffle that had everything in it. So yeah, go. There's no such thing as perfect, but this restaurant is the BEST Black/Caribbean/French style VEGAN food in DFW. The service is kind, casual, and welcoming. My boyfriend and I came here to eat for our date, when we walked in they were playing good soul music, Afro beats, hip hop, and rnb. The decor makes you feel at home, reminiscing many Black households in America. I ordered the VEGAN veggie rigatoni pasta with VEGAN jerk chicken. My boyfriend got the VEGAN jerk chicken with mushroom rice. Also a side of Brussels sprouts. SO DELICIOUS Only downside is that we had to wait a little longer than usual so they could get the ingredients to make my food (they had ran out) But in the meantime my boyfriend and I were able to dance together, enjoy the art, and each other. So romantic. Definitely plan to come here again! read more

They have an extensive menu with options for both omnivores and vegans. I felt like splurging and got the oxtail ($31 with tax). It arrived in about 20 minutes, and my server was very kind to check in once while I was waiting. The food was very hot, fresh, and savory.
