I went here for some KBBQ on a recent work trip. The interior was quaint and reminded me of old school Korea. There were signs and wooden awnings inside that reminded me of classic Korea. We were greeted warmly by the staff and the restaurant was bustling. There were kids and adults at the tables, all enjoying their various dinners. We ordered, LA kalbi for me and I think my coworker had pork. We got four banchans including a couple of kimchi dishes, a spinach namul and tofu dish, and marinated onions with jalapeños. Overall, I'd say the food was on the sweet side. Sweet kimchi, sweeter than I prefer kalbi (though it was pretty tasty) and the onions were sweet as well. Otherwise, the food was good, and the service was also attentive. If you're looking for some Americanized Korean food, this may be your spot, especially when they sprinkle then sear cheese on top of the dishes. I'd come back here again, but I think I'd rather try other KBBQ first. It's worth a try if you are looking for a Korean meal in a pinch.

Good, hearty Korean food in Little Tokyo. Love the complimentary banchan -- something a lot of newer Korean spots have quietly done away with. Interior is nice and staff are friendly. The one downside is the price. Most dishes run $20+, which feels steep when you can get the same quality in KTown or the SGV for less.

I've visited a JinCook at the Glendale branch, but it's nice to see that they opened one up in Little Tokyo. My favorite part about this place is that their restroom is SO CLEAN (for little tokyo!!). Never felt so comfortable in a restroom in LA until here lol. We visited during a Sunday lunch and it was not busy at all. Plenty of tables were open. We ordered quite a few things to share, we got to try the sweet potato cheese curry katsu, garlic suyuk, and the seafood pancake. Everything was so delicious! The garlic suyuk came out first and we all really enjoyed this one. The pork was so soft! The sweet potato cheese curry katsu was also really nice, everything was such a nice balance between the sweet potato, cheese, and curry was all a nice touch. The katsu was also very nice and crunchy! The seafood pancake was also pretty good too, very hefty. I would say it's a bit undercooked(?) so you can taste the batter a bit and everything inside of it, but I thought it was still pretty good since the top layer has a very nice crisp. Generally, portions are pretty huge so it's great we got to share everything. Overall, wonderful lunch here and 10/10 restrooms. Interior decor also very cute.

I've visited Jincook in Buena Park, so I was excited to try this location with colleagues. While we shared a few à la carte dishes, we had our own entrees. We noticed that they had a rice bowl lunch menu posted at the entrance. These come with an egg soup with a light broth. While the food didn't arrive very quickly, we still got seated in just a couple minutes. The restaurant was almost full with a lively ambience during noon on a Thursday. We shared sweet and spicy gangjung (Korean fried chicken) ($13.95), a seafood pancake ($29.95), and a kimchi pancake ($22.95). My favorite out of these shareable dishes was the Korean fried chicken; the flavor was delicious. The seafood pancake was adequate, but a few colleagues said that they've tried better renditions elsewhere. Portion sizes are large, so it's likely that you may leave with leftovers. I decided to get the garlic soy chicken rice bowl ($15.99) with a fried egg ($1). The flavor from the accompanying egg soup was rather forgettable. The chicken marinade was tasty, but it could've packed just a tad more flavor. I'd recommend putting gochujang. However, I enjoyed the juicy chicken and how the rice crisped at the bottom of the sizzling clay bowl. I thought the fried egg was tasty and worth the additional charge.

Went here on a whim and I was so happy with it!!! All the staff were super friendly and open to helping us with the menu. The serving portions are pretty big and just keep in mind that some specific dishes you are meant to share. We got the marinated dumplings and they were perfect! I was worried they would be too saucey/spicy but they really were perfect. The hot stone was buttery and I loved when the rice crisped up. Make sure to mix it up once in a while. This fed two people. Vibes of the restaurant were great. Lots of tables and seats. Clean bathrooms. I totally would go back again :)

Phenomenal taste and ambiance! Very authentic and cozy. Service is very prompt and professional. The only miss was that my brisket plate came with such little meat. I wish that for the price it would at least have a decent amount of protein for the prices here. Overall not a bad experience

Yummm!!! Everything was so delicious. Galbi Jjim meat was perfect and came with rice cakes, potatoes, carrot and pumpkin. The bulgogi pancake was a first! I've never had that before. Bathroom was super super nice.

I've known about Jin Cook in Glendale for a while, but it's always been too far for me to make a drive out to. When I saw Jin Cook opened a branch in Little Tokyo, that location was much closer, so I decided to come give it a try. I was craving Korean food, and didn't want to drive all the way to Ktown, so I decided on Jin Cook. I arrived with my wife at around 6 PM, and there wasn't too much of a wait. We got seated within 5 minutes of arrival. The restaurant is small but has a cozy and clean vibe. The server was super kind and attentive. We got a set of banchan right away with various kimchi and other pickled vegetables. The kimchi had a classic sour and spicy taste that was not too spicy. I got a pork katsu curry in stone pot, and my wife got the budae jjigae that I suggested. The budae jjigae was fairly standard, not too spicy, loved the ham and bacon and hot dog. The pork katsu curry was amazing. Despite having two gigantic pieces of pork katsu, my wife and I were able to nearly finish it together. It was an amazing dish. I would come back again just for the stone pot curry.

Food: 3.5/5 Service: 4/5 Ambiance: 4/5 I m not really familiar with Korean food but I was in the area and this place caught my eyes. Ordered garlic suyuk half order and traditional soup. I guess Korean dishes are usually light on salt. I had to add some salt to my liking. Interior decoration was pretty nice and service was ok.

I would say we had a very satisfying meal in this place. My 3 kids 8 to 14 liked the food. Ambiance is perfect for a Seoul vibe. Fast service, food came in a decent time, enough time that you know they didn't just make food in haste like fast food. Staff are courteous. This place is highly recommended!

This is my third time coming back, and every time I visit LA, this is my go to spot to eat. Jin Cook has everything, and I love that you can customize the spice level exactly how you want it. I've tried multiple places, but this one is still my favorite to come back to. This time I brought two of my friends, and they fell in love with the food too.

What seemed like a deceptively simple bowl was one of the most delicious and flavorful meals I've had - I'll be thinking about my bowl for a long time. I got the plain kalgaksu, mainly because it included pork potstickers. The anchovy broth isn't fishy (which I was concerned about), it's deep and full in a way that's hard to describe. It penetrates the noodles and potatoes well. The broth is similar if not the same between most bowl types. The cold noodles were also delicious, which a couple of my friends ordered. Quite large portions, as just about everyone had to take some home. They also have bibimbap if you're craving a rice based meal instead. I can't wait to come back - maybe not on a Saturday night next time so I don't have to look so long for parking!

I really wanted authentic Korean food that was not kbbq and not tofu and this place delivered! This restaurant is in a small strip mall. The strip mall has other Korean food options. They have a valet parking system of sorts but we didn't pay, we self parked. The attendant told us we were fine. It was approx 9pm when we arrived and also a week night. I have no idea how much valet parking is here. We were a small party of two. Upon arrival, we were notified they were out of RICE. Um..what?? That's a good problem (for them to have) but not for consumers. I feel this really limited our options to just soup. I honestly didn't want soup but there wasn't much else we could order. The bowls were large and came out piping hot. It was a satisfying meal and not too heavy. The price point was on the pricey side. Our waiter told us business has not been the same post covid. Some dishes are between $40-$60. I asked for a soup and they were able to make it less spicy. My friend got a soup with dumplings in it. He put a good amount of soy sauce to give the broth some life. Also, the banchan is on point. We asked for a refill and devoured the second portions. If you wanna impress friends with Korean food, bring them here! Its a casual place.

If you're searching for some of the city's best pork, then those in the know will bring up Ham Ji Park. For 2 decades, generous platters of pork ribs and pork neck stew decked every table. Now, our Korean friends lament the loss of their favorite pork joint in the city. The Koreatown proper location is located in the Royal Plaza mini-mall, just a few blocks off bustling Wilshire. Discounted parking is available in a lot across the street from the Chevron gas station. From the street, the entrance is flanked by potted plants and an enclosed street-ery. Inside, stainless steel chairs are pressed up against wooden tables, each outfitted with a metal grill. Oppressive fluorescent lighting shines down on the stone grey walls, which are left undecorated apart from a few flatscreens. Multi-lingual chatter blends with the sizzle of platters. I visited with some friends for a weeknight dinner, and about half of the tables were occupied. We shared a spread of grilled platters and sizzling soups. The meal began with a carafe of barley tea and a mostly standard spread of banchan. Across our food, the best dish was the signature Charbroiled Pork Spare Rib. The ribs were flavorful without feeling gamey, and the meat was complemented by sweet caramelized onions. The pork ribs handily outdid the good-not-great Charbroiled Beef Short Rib. Lastly, the Milt and Cod Rose with Vegetables stew was fishy and briny, appropriately flavored for the Korean palate. The service was appropriately attentive, although I would've appreciated more intentional refills of our banchan ramikens. The rib plates cost upward of $35 each, while the soup was just under $30. The portions were hearty; a single entree platter could reasonably feed 2 moderately hungry bellies. It's a shame to hear that Ham Ji Park has closed; I'm kicking myself for not trying their pork neck stew earlier.
