Parking for Moohan? They provide validation at two parking structures (one free, one $3 / 4h). My friends and I visited on a Tuesday night, so there was no wait. We went with the premium menu and made it just in time for Happy Hour (before 8pm). We were allowed to order 4 plates at a time and ordered on the tablet at the table. While waiting for meat and drinks, there is a self-service station for salad, Korean side dishes, appetizers, and some fried foods. Some cheaper, frozen cuts of meat are also available for self-service. The premium meats eventually arrived, and the staff members helped us cook it. There wasn't much communication, and it was a little awkward figuring out if we could cook the meats ourselves or not. At times, the staff weren't always keeping tabs, and the meat ended up burning. Other than the mismanaged charred bits, the meat was tasty, and we were salivating for more orders! Note that they are very firm on the time limit, though. It felt a little rushed and passive aggressive, too. There was no warnings on last order, so you'll have to keep track yourself. Once time runs out, they drop off the check by the table. Honestly, the best standard tiered KBBQ! My family and I came here to celebrate Father's Day and it was super easy to get a reservation. Since we were a table larger than 7, we had to call in to make a reservation. Their website says that you have to email them but since it was during the week of, we decided to test our luck by calling in and it worked. We came 10 minutes before our dinner reservation and we were checked in and seated within 5 minutes. Since it was a Friday, they have a really good happy hour for alcohol! We also decided to do the basic tier which was $39.99 since it was our first time! It was honestly, one of the best standard tier KBBQ I've had. The standard tier had everything that satisified our craving, ranging from brisket, pork, galibi. Unfortunately, there isn't a seafood option within the standard tier so if you're the type of person that wants seafood with your meats, this won't satisfy your craving. On the tablet at your table, you're only allowed to order 3 meats but they have a buffet on the side where there are the other meat options and side dishes! I really enjoyed the buffet style on the side since you can refill your banchan and side dishes such as tteokbokki, fried tempura, mandu, and much more. The unfortunate thing about this place is that you're ACTUALLY on a time limit of 100 minutes. Majority of the other KBBQ establishments I've been to don't enforce it but this place definitely does. They have a rule of charging $10 per person per a certain time (website can clarify). I wanted to update my review since its been awhile. Moohan still continues to be my favorite AYCE Kbbq spot in LA. They just have a large variety, great service, and affordable pricing. I came in recently with one other person for lunch. I love that they have a self service bar that includes hot items, cold items, banchan, and even meats. Fresher meats and other items are ordered though the kiosk. There wasn't any meat there we did not enjoy. Everything was really good. Besides the meats, my favorite items also include their ramen, korean pancake, and the lunch box. Besides foods they also have drinks such as cocktails. For Kimchi Pancake lovers, this spot has the best kimchi pancake I've ever had!! The ratio of pancake batter to the kimchi filling is just perfect. You get a very thin, crispy outer layer, with very delicious, fresh-tasting kimchi and scallions filling on the inside. This menu included a nice variety of beef, chicken and pork meats. Most of your meats are in a self-serve bar. I mainly enjoyed beef brisket, nicely marinated bulgogi and 2 different types of pork meat. The beef brisket and bulgogi were outstanding, very juicy, tasty, tender. The meat was melting in my mouth. Once inside, the experience was great from start to finish. It's an all-you-can-eat (AYCE) spot with a 100-minute limit, though we were happily full and finished in about 70 minutes. They offer an "Essential" and a "Premium" tier. Because we had the kids with us, we opted for the Essential package, figuring premium wouldn't be worth it for them. Honestly, the Essential tier exceeded expectations. The meat quality is excellent. The standouts for us were definitely the pork jowl, beef brisket, and pork belly. The marinated meats were tasty too, just a tiny bit on the saltier side. Our server was incredibly nice. We came during their weekend happy hour (Sat to Sun, 2pm to 6pm) and were seated within 5 minutes. The restaurant is large and expansive, with plenty of spacious seating and includes a large hot food bar to accompany your grill. We went with the premium AYCE which featured wagyu meat selections, seafood and everything from the other menus. My favorites from our order had to be the wagyu beef belly, prime beef tongue and pork jowl. If you're unsure of what to order first, the premium platter is an excellent option to start with. The meat quality is stellar and each order comes perfectly portioned. The sides that also came with the premium menu were also delicious, particularly the spicy tuna crispy rice. Additionally, the hot food station offers classic Korean favorites like kimchi fried rice, Tteokbokki, and more. Don't fill up too quickly so you have enough room for to enjoy the actual BBQ! This 'All You Can Eat' Korean BBQ is a unique throw-back to the pre-covid age - because it is a BUFFET - including the meat. Long before Covid, many of LA's AYCE K-BBQ places began to have a Banchan Buffet counter, offering bottomless salads, kimchee, & a dozens other types. My daughter and I loved this endless supply of Fried Fishcake, Sweet Omelet, Cubed Daikon Kimchee, and Dried Anchovies coated in sticky-sugar, plus more. I fact we often decided which restaurant we wanted to go to based on how many items were being offered on the Banchan-Bar. The banchan bars were so successful that soon even more counters were installed, offering even more types of items like Maki Rolls, Soup, Tempura, Kim Bop, Purple Rice, and even more specialty Banchan, including Raw Blue Crab kimchee style, Soy Sauce Egg, Marinated Gourd, and Desserts. And then they eventually added a 'Meat-Bar', where the raw meat meat for cooking at your table is selected. And these AYCE Korean BBQ Buffets with Meat-Bars started taking over the AYCE scene in LA. This trend happened until late 2019. I remember back then (in the early two thousands until nearly 2020), when places like this were beginning to become popular in many North American cities with big Korean neighborhoods, like Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York, Vancouver, Toronto, and Seattle. Then everyone began to Panic, as Covid-19 took control over the entire food world. Within a matter of months, most of these excellent places had closed down. And they've stayed Closed since then. But they are slowly coming back to life. And I hope it stays that way. Because Moohan Korean BBQ is one of the best, offering an amazing meal for a reasonable price, in an atmosphere that is more akin to a high-end Korean restaurant than a worn-down buffet. The all you can eat for a set price and the time limit is the best thing about this restaurant.... We had about a 15 to 20 minute wait for a table, which felt fair for how busy it was. We started with the crispy spicy tuna, beef tartare hand roll, spicy tuna hand roll, and beef tartare. The beef tartare hand roll was the clear favorite. Super savory and delicious. We ordered a few more because it was that good. The spicy tuna hand roll was solid and satisfying, not a standout but it hit the spot. The beef tartare had good flavor but was a little frozen in the middle. Probably would have been perfect if I let it sit for a bit before digging in. For KBBQ we ordered the KBBQ premium platter with a variety of meats like brisket, plus the prime seasoned short ribs and lemon herb scallop. The short ribs were amazing. We ordered about four rounds. Juicy, flavorful, and cooked beautifully. The lemon herb scallop was a surprise hit. Very well seasoned, buttery, and quick to cook. Service was friendly and attentive. Emailed the night before for a table of 7 on a Friday at 6:45pm and Moohan was able to accommodate. The menu has two choices between the essential, which has a good selection, or the premium which has higher quality meats. The whole party can only have one essential or the premium so we decided on the essential since they had some good marinated Galbi and pork jowl. You can order specific items on the tablet screens as well as the cocktails but for the other items, you just go to the bar to grab what you want to cook. You will need to grill your own meats but that isn't an issue and the servers do come by often to check and change grills when needed. I thought the quality was pretty good even for the essential menu and the price was fair at $39.99 for adults and children up to age 11 at half off. Ambience here is definitely 5 stars. When you come it definitely is a fun place to hang with friends. The ready made buffet has a great selection. We got the basic meal and the marinated bulgogi and Kalbi was the best. Is it the best Korean BBQ I've had? No, but it's solid. read more
