Finally got around to trying this place and it delivers on everything I want in an AYCE kbbq spot. From a great selection of meats, to a food bar that lets you grab your own wraps, sauce refills, side dishes, more meat, etc. I love when places have this bar feature along with their menu. The meat was also pretty good quality given it is an AYCE place. Prices were also not too bad! Lastly, they have validated parking, a huge bonus since Ktown usually has bad parking. Overall really impressed with Moohan and it definitely is one of my go-to's now if I'm looking for AYCE kbbq!

Great friendly staff. Quick service and tasty food. Came here for the hubby's 50th birthday with his family. Ordered the premium set and took advantage of Amex's Resyb credit. Some of the cuts were outstanding, others were OK. Like the amount of buffet items and the ones brought from the kitchen. The takoyaki and friend chicken wings were yummy. The rice from the buffet was not my favorite, nor were the cold noodles or crispy spicy tuna. The ordering process is a bit clumsy from the iPad with an awkward interface. The text was so tiny it was difficult to read The space is minimal and modern. Dark wood and some metal and concrete accents. The speakers were a bit on the loud side as well.

My first time trying and got the classic. You choose your broth, 3 meats and sides. We got the Prime, Short Rib and Toro. We had ordered some shrimp for the side. But we didn't receive it. Not sure if it went to another table or if they just forgot. All in all, it was pretty good.Especially for the price of seventy five dollars.

It's been a minute since I've last had a classic KBBQ experience, so when I learned about Moohan, I had set my sights on it. We came during their weekend happy hour (Sat to Sun, 2pm to 6pm) and were seated within 5 minutes. The restaurant is large and expansive, with plenty of spacious seating and includes a large hot food bar to accompany your grill. We went with the premium AYCE which featured wagyu meat selections, seafood and everything from the other menus. My favorites from our order had to be the wagyu beef belly, prime beef tongue and pork jowl. If you're unsure of what to order first, the premium platter is an excellent option to start with. The meat quality is stellar and each order comes perfectly portioned. The sides that also came with the premium menu were also delicious, particularly the spicy tuna crispy rice. Additionally, the hot food station offers classic Korean favorites like kimchi fried rice, Tteokbokki, and more. Don't fill up too quickly so you have enough room for to enjoy the actual BBQ! Service was attentive with our waiter coming by frequently to attend to us and assist with grill changes. I appreciate how he helped us swap out to a completely different grill to enhance the LA galbi we had ordered, which was a nice surprise. It's small touches like that that ensure I'll definitely return the next time I'm craving KBBQ in K-town!

Came here on a Saturday night to celebrate a friend's birthday and we had a great time! The only hiccup was although we had a reservation for 7:30pm, our party wasn't seated until almost an hour later. Granted we had a large party, but were not expecting such a long wait. However the staff were really apologetic and service was fast and efficient when we sat down. We opted for the premium AYCE menu which comes with more prime meats. The dining time limit is 100 minutes and all guests at the same table have to choose the same tier (premium vs essential). Everything we had was so delicious and I can confidently say this is one of the best AYCE kbbq spots I've had in LA! They have an AYCE buffet with a ton of side dishes but make sure save enough room for all the meat! The ambiance is great although the music was on the louder side. Parking: park in the Equitable Plaza public parking structure, and remember your license plate number - they validate for 6 hours!

Yeah, this place rocks. DO NOT PARK IN THE HMART LOT OR YOU WON'T GET PARKING VALIDATION. Put "Equitable Plaza" into Google Maps. Highly recommend to also make a reservation, this place was poppin on a weekday evening! Personally love that you order via a tablet so no waiving servers down. We opted for the premium menu and thought it was a decent price for the higher quality meats you get. In addition to the meat choices, they also have a buffet filled with a lot of snacks. You will not walk out feeling hungry whatsoever.

This 'All You Can Eat' Korean BBQ is a unique throw-back to the pre-covid age - because it is a BUFFET - including the meat. Long before Covid, many of LA's AYCE K-BBQ places began to have a Banchan Buffet counter, offering bottomless salads, kimchee, & a dozens other types. My daughter and I loved this endless supply of Fried Fishcake, Sweet Omelet, Cubed Daikon Kimchee, and Dried Anchovies coated in sticky-sugar, plus more. I fact we often decided which restaurant we wanted to go to based on how many items were being offered on the Banchan-Bar. The banchan bars were so successful that soon even more counters were installed, offering even more types of items like Maki Rolls, Soup, Tempura, Kim Bop, Purple Rice, and even more specialty Banchan, including Raw Blue Crab kimchee style, Soy Sauce Egg, Marinated Gourd, and Desserts. And then they eventually added a 'Meat-Bar', where the raw meat meat for cooking at your table is selected. And these AYCE Korean BBQ Buffets with Meat-Bars started taking over the AYCE scene in LA. This trend happened until late 2019. I remember back then (in the early two thousands until nearly 2020), when places like this were beginning to become popular in many North American cities with big Korean neighborhoods, like Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York, Vancouver, Toronto, and Seattle. Then everyone began to Panic, as Covid-19 took control over the entire food world. Within a matter of months, most of these excellent places had closed down. And they've stayed Closed since then. But they are slowly coming back to life. And I hope it stays that way. Because Moohan Korean BBQ is one of the best, offering an amazing meal for a reasonable price, in an atmosphere that is more akin to a high-end Korean restaurant than a worn-down buffet. NOTE: Moohan Korean BBQ is open until 2AM every night except for Sunday (when it's only open until Midnight). Also, lunch is only offered on Saturday and Sunday. All other days of the week Moohan Korean BBQ opens at 5PM.

Ambience here is definitely 5 stars. When you come it definitely is a fun place to hang with friends. The ready made buffet has a great selection. We got the basic meal and the marinated bulgogi and Kalbi was the best. Is it the best Korean BBQ I've had? No, but it's solid.

This place is RIDICULOUS! "FALSE ADVERTISEMENT"! DONT CELEBRATE YOUR BIRTHDAY HERE, they said on their website that free dinner for the birthday celebrant. I brought my friends here total of 19 of us and they automatically charge for the large group and still MADE ME PAY FOR MY BIRTHDAY. I emailed moohan regarding this is issue but no response received from them. THEY ALSO SAID VALIDATION FOR PARKING IS FREE BUT MADE ALL OF US PAY $3 each for every car! If you guys wanna celebrate your birthday for free with large group of friends, choose other place, NOT THIS PLACE WHO JUST WANNA TAKE YOUR MONEY!!! SCAMMERS!!

I can imagine this place gets super busy/ packed during the weekends and reservations are/ might be necessary. Even on a Sunday visit it was a bit busy. Needless to say they have plenty of seating . The all you can eat for a set price and the time limit is the best thing about this restaurant.... This means they have a quick turn around of people leaving and not overstaying causing huge wait times . Love how everything is self services with option to have delivered to your table . The music wasn't too loud. I felt like I was dinning at a a restaurant with a club next door . I liked the vents over the food to capture the smoky and smell of the bbq. I really enjoyed the sides pre sit down .... Counted there were at least 5 traditional sides to the Korean meal... a must ! Also loved the fact that our grill got changed out mid way for a new one allowing us to grill our meet to perfection. The salad bar and choice of meats are abundant. The only thing I did not see at the salad bar were fish options . Not sure if they have any sea food options . There is a private dinning room which I think I'll be taking advance of next time around when I have a bigger party. Loved the happy hour drink options , very reasonably priced. They have a full bar as well and they house a lot of draft beers and beer options .

    Kaelyn R.

Excellent selection for the standard menu. Loved their hot buffet, which includes items like tempura, sushi, japchae, etc.. Meats are decent quality. Loved their side dish selection as well! Fast service for tablet ordered items. Get the lemonade and happy hour beers! Reservations recommended. They validate parking at select lots, make sure to park in the Metropolis lot in the building to be certain. We came at like 4pm, and it was not so busy, but I can imagine the buffet area can get crowded during busy meal times.

Quick parking note first because it helps. Park at Equitable Plaza Public Parking on South Mariposa Avenue. Easy to find and they validate after you eat, so getting to Moohan KBBQ is simple. We had about a 15 to 20 minute wait for a table, which felt fair for how busy it was. We started with the crispy spicy tuna, beef tartare hand roll, spicy tuna hand roll, and beef tartare. The beef tartare hand roll was the clear favorite. Super savory and delicious. We ordered a few more because it was that good. The spicy tuna hand roll was solid and satisfying, not a standout but it hit the spot. The beef tartare had good flavor but was a little frozen in the middle. Probably would have been perfect if I let it sit for a bit before digging in. For KBBQ we ordered the KBBQ premium platter with a variety of meats like brisket, plus the prime seasoned short ribs and lemon herb scallop. The short ribs were amazing. We ordered about four rounds. Juicy, flavorful, and cooked beautifully. The lemon herb scallop was a surprise hit. Very well seasoned, buttery, and quick to cook. Service was friendly and attentive. Easy to flag staff down and they also checked on us regularly. Drinks came out quickly. The music was good and the overall vibe was lively and enjoyable. Great food, easy parking, and solid service. Definitely coming back.

We really enjoyed our experience at Moohan KBBQ, I love their setup. Most of the popular meats, hot items, and salad bar are self-serve, which makes it super efficient and keeps things moving. The remaining items and sides can be ordered directly on the tablet, and someone from the kitchen brings them right out. Service was great. Our waiter was very attentive, consistently clearing our table, changing out our grill at least three times, and refilling our drinks without us having to ask. Parking is available inside the Equitable Building (630 S Mariposa Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90020). With validation, parking is free, just make sure you remember/take a photo of your car's license plate number and bring it to the front desk. Overall, a smooth, well-organized KBBQ experience w/ solid service and a wide variety meat selection. Tip: If you have an Amex Gold or Platinum card, make your reservation via the Resy app, Moohan KBBQ is a participating restaurant and offers a $50 credit toward your bill -this perk is what originally brought us to try Moohan KBBQ :)

They were friendly, they spoke to me with respect and it was all normal and above board. On my way in, I saw a dude chilling by a plancha outdoors (no food cooking mind you), and then I see a sign that literally says "Taco Truck Menu" ON THE FRONT DOOR as I enter the bar! So I walk up to the bar, with a smile, and I go, "Hi! It's my first time here so I'm not sure how things work, I saw tacos outside, how does it work? Do I order with you?" Bartender (white dude, glasses): "Those are NOT tacos! We don't have a kitchen here." I was taken aback, because ok, like I literally just told you, it's my first time here, calm down bro. He goes on to explain that the food outside is "mashed potatoes." Ok cool. I'm sorry that I didn't know that I guess? ‍ I order my drink and think not much of it, but still find it a bit off-putting. I finish my beer. Get in line to order my next round. I see the Happy Hour menu and see you could get a 4100 beer and a shot for $10! Cool! I order that. "He goes what shot do you want?" I ask,"what you got?" He looked super annoyed and was like "it's well shots." I used to be a bartender, so I expect at LEAST a MODICUM of friendliness and hospitality from my bartenders. This dude just did not seem welcoming or appreciative of my business. I immediately asked for my tab and GTFOO there. Went to 33 Taps where I enjoyed a much more friendly atmosphere.
