One thing I do wish they had is better/more parking parking over here is hard. The restaurant has a beautiful layout, especially the private rooms, which are great for group gatherings. However, the service really took away from what could have been an enjoyable experience. Our server rolled her eyes at us multiple times--not once, not twice--and made us feel unwelcome. We understand that serving a large party can be challenging, especially when the restaurant is busy, but that is no excuse for a lack of courtesy and professionalism. What made things even more frustrating was that my friend ended up doing most of the work himself, repeatedly having to go to the kitchen to grab things for our table. We even waited around 10 minutes just to get chopsticks. We understand that there may be delays during busy hours, but a little communication and a friendly attitude would have gone a long way. We came here to enjoy a meal together as a group, not to feel like we were inconveniencing the staff or have one of our own friends practically serve the table himself. Last night, four of us, including me, had dinner together at Moohan Korean BBQ. We actually came here last December with my singles group, and there were about 15 of us that night. We had such a good experience and really enjoyed the food, so we decided to come back again. This is an AYCE Korean BBQ restaurant, and for $59.99 per person, plus tax and tip, you can enjoy unlimited meat, side dishes, and access to the salad bar. I think that is a really great deal. Everything we tried was delicious. All of the side dishes and items from the salad bar were really good, and the quality of the meats was also very good. We ordered many different kinds of meat throughout the evening, along with steamed egg, corn cheese, and kimchi stew. Two of my friends also ordered beer, while another friend and I did not drink any alcohol at all. I also really liked the service here. I usually think AYCE Korean BBQ restaurants don't cook the meat for you, but here the servers came by from time to time to check on us, and one of them even helped grill the meat for us for a short time. All of the employees were very friendly and attentive. Ordering is also very convenient. Instead of having to ask the server for everything, there is an iPad-style kiosk on the table where you can order additional meats and side dishes, and they bring everything directly to your table. At one point, we noticed that the people sitting at the table right behind us had ordered a really interesting and unusual-looking beer. I asked them if it would be okay for me to take a photo of it, and they very kindly said yes. They even told me that they had taken photos of it themselves because they thought it was so interesting. They were really nice about it! We ate a LOT of meat, salad, tteok-bossam, and side dishes last night, and by the end of the meal, we were completely stuffed. The parking situation is also pretty convenient. You park in the visitor parking area in the basement of the Equitable Building. You just need to take a photo of your car's license plate and bring it inside with you. After your meal, you can enter your license plate number at the counter, and they validate your parking for up to 6 hours, which is very good. Of course, since this is an AYCE Korean BBQ restaurant, there is a 100-minute dining time limit. We arrived early, with me and one of my friends getting there first. Another friend arrived a little later, and we were still waiting for the fourth person. I went to the front desk and told them that I had a reservation for 7:30 PM. Since there is a 100-minute dining limit, the staff kindly asked whether the three of us wanted to go ahead and start eating first, or wait until the last person arrived so that all four of us could be seated together. I really appreciated that they gave us the option instead of simply making us wait. At first, we decided to wait, but after about 5-10 minutes, the three of us decided to sit down and start eating from the salad bar because we were so hungry. Luckily, our fourth friend arrived shortly afterward. Overall, I really think Moohan is a great Korean BBQ restaurant. The meats are delicious, the salad bar and side dishes are all very good, and the servers are friendly and helpful. We had a really fun dinner here and left completely full and satisfied! We went with the premium menu and made it just in time for Happy Hour (before 8pm). We were allowed to order 4 plates at a time and ordered on the tablet at the table. While waiting for meat and drinks, there is a self-service station for salad, Korean side dishes, appetizers, and some fried foods. Some cheaper, frozen cuts of meat are also available for self-service. The premium meats eventually arrived, and the staff members helped us cook it. There wasn't much communication, and it was a little awkward figuring out if we could cook the meats ourselves or not. At times, the staff weren't always keeping tabs, and the meat ended up burning. Other than the mismanaged charred bits, the meat was tasty, and we were salivating for more orders! Note that they are very firm on the time limit, though. Since we were a table larger than 7, we had to call in to make a reservation. The standard tier had everything that satisified our craving, ranging from brisket, pork, galibi. Unfortunately, there isn't a seafood option within the standard tier so if you're the type of person that wants seafood with your meats, this won't satisfy your craving. On the tablet at your table, you're only allowed to order 3 meats but they have a buffet on the side where there are the other meat options and side dishes! I really enjoyed the buffet style on the side since you can refill your banchan and side dishes such as tteokbokki, fried tempura, mandu, and much more. The unfortunate thing about this place is that you're ACTUALLY on a time limit of 100 minutes. Majority of the other KBBQ establishments I've been to don't enforce it but this place definitely does. Moohan is a top-tier experience in my opinion; delivering on all ends from high quality meats to high quality service. There are two courses: essential and premium, I ordered essential. I tend to never be able to tell the difference between meats at various Korean BBQ places, but Moohan opened my eye truly. I can tell what meat is supposed to taste like now. Their marinades are flavorful and not overpowering. And across all their meats, they have a great tenderness and indescribable lightness. I could really get my fill off of the meats here. Some of my favorite meats were the marinated galbi and the wagyu beef belly. Moreover, they have a self-serve bar for sides but also the meats! The sides' bar has so much food that complement the meats well. My personal favorites from the sides' bar include the pickled radish and cucumber kimchi. They provide a nice bite and freshness when loading on a lot of meat! They even have fried foods if that's your thing. They even have sides on the ordering iPad; we got the Kimchi pancake and it did not disappoint. You can also order meats using the iPad, but the meats' bar has the same selection! There's also plenty of drinks to order with specialized cocktails! And if you even have room for a sweet treat, there's a rōk Cafe directly connected to it! The place has great ventilation and ample seating. Koreatown is already cramped as it is, and I feel like this place is a great accomodation for even bigger parties. Some of the tables are a little close, so it's a bit cramped moving in and out between your tables and the self-serve bar. Although a bunch of it is self-serve, the waiters are still attentive to clearing plates and assisting cook meats if needed. Min helped us and communicated well how the whole dining process works! Min was diligent and super kind as well. Will come back to Koreatown just for this place over and over! read more

I came in recently with one other person for lunch. I love that they have a self service bar that includes hot items, cold items, banchan, and even meats. Fresher meats and other items are ordered though the kiosk. There wasn't any meat there we did not enjoy. Everything was really good. Besides the meats, my favorite items also include their ramen, korean pancake, and the lunch box. Besides foods they also have drinks such as cocktails. The staff came quick with whatever items we ordered. We were never left without meats. I also like that their grill doesn't burn is quickly as other places and they replace it without asking if needed. The inside is large and is great for small or large group. They do have a 90 minute limit which I found to be more than enough time. There is validated parking for $3 for 2 hours in the lot. Can't wait to come back. read more
