I recently tried Moodaepo in K-Town and it's a great spot for affordable all-you-can-eat KBBQ. Their AYCE starts at $25.99 for lunch and $32.99 for dinner, which is a solid deal for the variety you get. Plenty of meats and sides, and everything came out fresh. We also tried their viral watermelon soju, which was refreshing and perfect to share with the table. The vibe is great for groups. Big tables, lively energy, and a fun atmosphere, especially at night. The staff was very attentive and kept everything running smoothly. Plus, parking is easier than most K-Town spots, which is always a win. Definitely a spot I'd come back to. read more

After dining here, I noticed unfamiliar Facebook/Meta charges appear on my card shortly afterward. I can't confirm whether it was related, but the timing was concerning enough that I locked my card and contacted my bank. Aside from that, the restaurant itself was disappointing. The meat quality felt mediocre for the price, service was inattentive, and the $40 watermelon soju looked better than it tasted -- there was barely any soju in it and it felt overpriced. We liked the marinated brisket and the marinated short ribs the best!! I wanted to update my review after reading the owner's response. It's honestly frustrating to feel like my experience is being dismissed. You mentioned it's difficult to take my review at face value without a date and time, but also referenced, "directly confirming with the staff member on duty." For clarity, this visit took place on 04/02 at around 2:22 PM, which I can verify. You also stated there were multiple tables during lunch, which does not reflect what I experienced. When we walked in, there was only one other table seated with two people. The restaurant has a very open floor layout, so I would have clearly noticed if there were more. We stood at the front without being acknowledged. When I initially tried to order, I was told no and directed to use the tablet. While I understand the ordering system, it was not clearly explained how it works. I would not have assumed that drinks were included in the same 6 minute ordering restriction. Because of the attitude we experienced, I did not feel comfortable asking questions or clarifying. I already had to ask for napkins and forks and felt uncomfortable. Now imagine trying to order drinks after already being told I had to do it on the tablet. I understand there may be safety concerns with the grill, and I have no issue with staff stepping in. The issue was the attitude. It came across as rude, dismissive, and impatient. Although you said, "the specific wording you quoted does not align with how our team communicates with guests," I was told "forget it," which was my experience. For context, the person who brought out the check was actually very polite. My issue is specifically with the service we received from our server. This has now been two separate visits where I've experienced similar service. To be specific, my previous visit was on July 10 at around 10 PM, since dates and time seem to make the reviews valid. Ambiance/Environment: They have a LARGE space with plenty of indoor seating. Perfect for groups of all sizes. Love the music and vibes here. It was somewhat busy when we visited during lunch, but they became even more busy closer to the evening. Service: Join the wait list via the tablet when you enter. They'll text you when your table is ready. We were seated by one of the servers. They were attentive and efficient. Empty plates were constantly removed. Though, it does take a while for the meats to come out. Sometimes it's hard to wave one of the servers down for assistance as it became busier. Going as soon as the restaurant opened on a weekday was the best decision we made! I came here with some coworkers for dinner. I really liked that there is free parking on the side of this restaurant. That's a rarity for LA and made the visit a lot more stress free. One of my coworkers had been here before. We got our table for five pretty quickly since it was an early evening on a weekday. The place is really big and has an organized layout. I liked the lighting as it wasn't too dark or too bright. There were lots of TVs around with football on. The service was great here! They changed the grill often and asked if we wanted to order more food regularly. We ordered off the regular dinner menu. We got beef brisket, beef bulgogi, short rib, pork belly, beef belly and a couple other things that one of my coworkers ordered. All the banchan was delicious and of good quality. They definitely know how to keep things moving - our various banchan were out in no time and the meats we ordered not long after. They also asked us at one point to move tables so they could make room for a larger group, but that wasn't an issue at all (and they even gave us a free Soju in return)! The KBBQ itself is excellent - great quality cuts and tasted great when pairing with the different Banchan side items. My mom commented about how nice that was, and our server overheard and immediately offered ice cream to my parents and sister too. That small gesture really made the night feel special. Considering they tack on a hefty 20% auto gratuity for parties over 8, they did not provide any service. One of the servers was completely rude and did not accommodate our party at all. We had a few extra people join us for dinner, and they told us that we could not add any more seats because that's the number of people on our reservation. Keep in mind, half the restaurant was empty. And while ordering food, the server looked like he hated us for ordering more food, giving us the dirtiest face. I understand working in the food service industry is difficult, but at least smile goes a long way. Luckily, another server towards the end of our meal, by the name Tom, assisted us. The food was excellent--absolutely nothing negative to say about that. The table service was also great. However, my concern is regarding how my ADA-compliant service dog and I were treated. Initially, I was denied entry unless I provided paperwork for my service dog. I informed the staff that, under federal law, businesses are only allowed to ask two specific questions about a service animal. Despite this, a staff member insisted that the owner had the right to require paperwork. I explained that this was incorrect and directed them to ADA.gov for clarification, even offering an informational card. They refused to review it, claiming they didn't have time. When I offered to show them the relevant law, they stated they had the right to deny me service. If the sole reason for this denial was my refusal to provide paperwork--something not required under federal law--this constitutes discrimination, which is illegal. Business owners in the U.S. must educate themselves on ADA regulations. I strongly urge the owner to review federal ADA law to ensure compliance. I've been to many diff kbbqs in this area and I have to say this place is hands down the BEST out of all!! I only get the premium menu and it's always so worth it, the spicy beef ribs are my fav, and they have sooo many drink options. They even have the apple mango soju and the new apricot soju from sero, I was looking forever for that new flavor omg.
