    Seafood Pancake

food: we got the super thick bean paste soup and seafood pancake! the soup was a bit too salty however the flavor was very strong and savory. the pancake however had too little seafood and more vegetables instead. the pancake was too oily, but it had a nice crisp to it service: the services was really fast for a friday night and the server was really kind ambiance: warm lighting + very clean, minimalistic! it's not loud or chaotic so you can actually hold a conversations with friends or family

This crazy person was yelling in the restaurant as we started getting our food and valet had to call the cops but the food was worth the crazy experience. Good portions and so comforting at a great price point. Stir fry pork leans sour from the kimchi; tteokbokki "less spicy" was still solidly spicy but the chew was amazing. Oxtail didn't taste too beefy but was still very flavorful. They only let us get three rounds of banchan before they said we weren't allowed to get anymore????? Like is that not the best part of Korean food?? Chef Kang also has some other spots around Ktown and apparently he started as a mortgage broker / home cook according to LAT. It was empty at 6 and we were kind of concerned about it (because what popular restaurant is empty at dinner hour on Saturday!) but people started streaming in at around 6:30!

After a trip to Universal Studios with the family, we really wanted to eat something warm and after much Yelping this was the spot we decided on. Boy was it a great spot to stop by for dinner. Ordered: Army Stew $46- lots of sausage/hot dog, i wished there was a bit more ramen but thats because there was way more toppings than noodles in my opinion. I'm glad that they didn't charge a lot but gave less ingredients. Braised Short Rib $54- tender, a bit sweet, and be prepared to use your hands to grab the ribs. Prices are a bit high but its big and sharable. And unlimited banchans, although I was a bit sad that they ran out of fish cake. My kiddos love fish cake and I had to be the bigger person to let them be the ones to eat it. The cucumbers were delish and the staff cooks the food for you and serves you. I definitely see myself coming back here. I really enjoyed the food and so did my husband. Everything is well seasoned and fully packed/loaded. This Yelper gives this spot 2 thumbs up. Tips: *Private lot shared with other businesses (valet) or street parking. *Credit card accepted *Restroom available. *Great for big or small parties. *Staff speaks limited English and Korean. *They charge for to go boxes. *18% gratuity is added to parties of 4+. *Happy Hour 7 days a week 2-5pm for alcohol *No white rice only purple rice

Korean Restaurant I highly recommend! First of all, portions are great! And to top that off, they taste amazing. I got the bulgogi combo with nangmyeon and both were very tasty and rich with flavour. Also got the gochujang stew and it was very spicy refreshing! Very clean indoors and friendly staff. Parking is available on sote but valet

There's been a new sign out here for the past two weeks saying that they got a new chef and the food is even more delicious, so I tried it again. 1. The panchan is so much better than it was. Significant improvement here, but not as good as the original panchan set. 2. The seaweed soup, they put bone broth in it, and that combination gives it such an amazing flavor. It's sooooooooo good! The meat has all of the flavors soaked into it too. The new chef is amazing! Service is still great. Ambiance still cozy. Worth coming to for sure.

Decided to have dinner at this spot after doing some online shopping at the coffee shop upstairs in the same outlet. I was drawn to this restaurant because of the older folks eating inside, I was craving some comfort soup, and might as well eat here since my car was already parked in the lot. Restaurant itself was clean, and it looked pretty new. My husband and I were seated immediately. The servers were super sweet and attentive. I ordered the ugly galbi tang (yes, it was called ugly galbi tang), and hubby ordered the bowl of korean pho. LOL. I liked my galbi tang. I thought it was gonna come out ugly, but it wasn't too ugly. We noticed that they were SO GENEROUS with the meat portions in both my galbi tang as well as hubby's pho. He said he wished he ordered another soup instead tho (the noodles, in his opinion, were overcooked). My soup was decent - not too salty, almost on the blander side, but could just add some salt/pepper and it's fine.

Delicious. Been here twice, I swear the korean pho is my fav. But then I tried their beef brisket soup too which is also good but the pho was much better imo. Loved the banchan, all flavorful and delish. Bossam was nice and tender! Plus the banchan cubed radishes were excellent & addictive! Their seafood pajeon was good too!

Wanted to try this place after having a great dining experience at the sister restaurant HanEuem. My friend and I both had the Beef Rib & Baby Cabbage Soup and you could tell they take their bone broth seriously-simmered for a long time to get that rich taste with the meat falling off the bone. It tasted like a comforting home-cooked meal. Servers were friendly and attentive. This place is definitely a place to try for some good Korean soup

Great service! Food was awesome.had cold noodle and LA galbi combo, and short rib soup. Tasty!! Parking might be little hard during rush hour though.

    Hot Stone Bibimbap

Came here on a Monday night for a solo dinner date. It was pretty empty, so the food came out pretty fast. I got the hot stone bibimbap that came with the sauce on the side so you can add as much as you want! The bibimbap was so good and it's probably the best I've had in a while! It was a good portion since I could only finish half and had to take the rest to go. Good selection of banchan too. Only downside is they charge $0.50 per to go box and it's $4 for valet.

Located in the middle of K town with very limited parking spaces available. You may have to find street parking with a short walk. The restaurant was clean and with indoor seatings only. I dont think you want to sit out with some meth heads lingering around...(sadly). For the starter, they bring 6 small appetizers. Very good kimchi and I'm not a kimchi fan. The food was freshly prepped, served in hot stone bowl. All the orders were served within timely manner. I thought the soup was very delicious and delightful. I really enjoyed it. The price was not too bad. Very competitive for what you are getting (quality food). I would give this place a 4.5 out of 5. Will visit again.

I can't stop thinking about the food at Dasom by Chef Kang! The pork belly kimchi stir fry was packed with flavor. The perfect balance of spicy, savory, and a little tangy from the kimchi. The pork was tender and caramelized just right. But the real star was the braised short rib beef soup...so rich and comforting, with melt-in-your-mouth short ribs and a deep, flavorful broth that blew my mind! If you're in Koreatown and want authentic Korean comfort food, this is the spot!!!

Came here around 8:11 last night with my family (including a toddler). The service was good until the very end. Not one minute did we feel like we felt rushed to hurry up, eat and pay. I was actually feeling bad that my 15 month baby was eating their delicious food and making somewhat of a mess. After paying $153 + 18% tip , the last thing I wanted to do was wash my hands at the restroom. But the guy said "sorry restroom is closed". Suddenly the nice lady that was working along side with him told me I could go -__-. When I checked, restroom was not even closed, the door was wide open. I just felt like he just wanted us to finally leave by saying that restroom is closed.. How can the be an inconvenience to your customers after paying that much for your food.

There is sometimes street parking but the availability is rough, it's tough to park, and even one of the meters we ended up at just didn't work. They only charge a $5 cash service charge though, which isn't bad. We were lucky to be seated right away, even in a packed restaurant. The restaurant has a surprisingly modern design, and is comfortable for as small as it is. We were quickly served their signature kimchis and barley rice. The kimchi, particularly the yeolmu (young summer radish) kimchi, has a unique flavor profile well suited to their food. We ordered 2 bowls of their plain kalgooksu, 1 bibim milmyun, and 1 tteokbokki. The food came out fairly quickly. The kalgooksu was as expected the star of the show. The anchovy broth brings a savory complexity that seems impossible for a soup made from just dried fish and a few other ingredients. It even has a rich, almost thick, quality to it that is surprising for a fish broth. Their noodles, the titular kalgooksu, have the signature irregularity and chew of knife cut noodles. I appreciate the vegetables that always come in kalgooksu, like potato, pumpkin, and zucchini, which offer an earthy heartiness to the light soup. My only complaint is that the potato is in huge irregular chunks, and is barely cooked, though I feel like I have had this issue with many of the kalgooksu bowls I've had over the years. The bibim milmyun was solid. I think that I prefer the texture and flavor of naengmyeon buckwheat noodles, but the milmyun, which are made with mostly wheat flour, still provide a satisfying chew. The sauce tasted bright and fresh, especially with a splash of added vinegar. It also came with a small side portion of spicy pork and some rice paper to wrap. The tteokbokki was the one let down of the meal. To be fair, I wasn't expecting much out of tteokbokki at all restaurant like this whose specialty is essentially the opposite. I ordered the tteokbokki as a "safe pick" for a picky eater in the group. It turned out to be a bit mediocre in our opinion, and that friend ended up enjoying their kalgooksu anyways. If you're looking to try this dish, it's definitely one of if not the best I've had in Southern California, so I'd totally recommend it. I'll also warn to steer clear of the Garden Grove restaurant of the same name and specialty. I think it's a disappointing mimicry of this place.

What took me by surprise and what I thought was unique was that the beef was cooked in a egg batter, which basically means it comes out kind of like an omelet. My girlfriend really loved the shrimp. You can eat it with the shells too. The shrimp is super flavorful and has a really distinct unique taste. The food is a little more on the expensive side but it is worth it for the portion size. The location sits on a large lot with plenty of parking available for both standard and handicapped patrons. The music was at a comfortable low level. The establishment has several available entrances that do not require stairs or an elevator, making it very handicapped accessible. Seating is a mixture of booths, tables, and a combination of the two.

The only problem I had was him telling me the small bites menu was half off or 2 for 1 for happy hour. When it was time to pay then it became only the drinks on that menu. Then he was trying to act all confused. I paid it and said whatever but that's not cool to do to people. I don't live in L.A. and will never go back to that restaurant for that reason.

Staffed by the owner himself, along with a very personable bartender and waiter, Gabrielle, Robby's offers a very clean, professional and warmly inviting place to enjoy a delicious meal and enjoy the entertainment hosted by its guests. I can recommend the savory rib-eye steak, the Robby's special pasta and the salads are enough to share for two. All meticulously prepared and served fresh. There is a quality karaoke system that makes even the meek sound like a star and the crowd is receptive and enthusiastic. There is no doubt that an initial visit to Robby's will be the first of many by its customers and the crafted combination of service, food and ambience make Robby's stand out from the rest.

Joyce Restaurant in downtown LA is definitely worth a visit. I love supporting a Black-owned spot,…read moreand this one did not disappoint. We went for Lunch and ordered the seafood platter with scallops, shrimp cocktail, crab dip, and oysters, and everything tasted fresh and flavorful. The biscuits with gravy and strawberry jam were a standout, perfectly balanced between savory and sweet. We also tried the country potatoes and the crab and shrimp Benedict, which were both delicious. Drinks were on point too. We had two cocktails and a mocktail, and all were refreshing and well-made. The atmosphere was nice and relaxed, service was attentive, and the overall experience felt welcoming. Good food, good drinks, and good vibes. I would definitely go back.

Brilliant interior design and great collab with showcasing artist live weekly showcasing. However,…read moredespite the witty menu, the food was lackluster. Attended this eatery for the live showcase, great atmosphere but the service wasn't spectacular. Not attentive and the food was something I could've made better at home. The best thing I ate was the cornbread, everything else including the drinks was bland. Needs a new chef and serving staff. The host was the best service the entire event. I'd probably return just for the corn bread and the n/a beer only. Would not recommend the food unless you're hungry. Toilet is located next to kitchen. All in all, I like the inclusion and atmosphere.
