We came for a late lunch on a weekday around 3 PM, and there were only a few tables occupied. We ordered a combo--overall, the quality was just okay, and only one of the meats really stood out to me. The side dishes, like the kimchi fried rice, pancake, and tofu soup, were disappointing. The server cooked the meat for us quite quickly, which made it feel a bit rushed--like she just wanted to get it done. Because of that, we didn't really get to enjoy the meal at our own pace.

Cozy kbbq vibes with good quality meats. Went for a bro hangout mid-week. Theres a parking lot for the building with valet. We ubered so no biggie - but saw people parking on their own as well. Had reservations - was a pretty busy place, but sat immediately. The decor was just like a normal mom n pop kbbq / Korean restaurant - no fancy digs. You have to make a point to flag down the staff - they are running around all over the place. Once we did so, we ordered the medium beef combo along with some beer and soju. The drinks came first - your standard fare. They do have barley tea if you ask for it. The banchan arrived shortly afterwards. Also your standard dishes - along with a salad. As part of the combo, you do get corn cheese and kimchi soup. Then the meats came. The staff do cook and cut for you - so no need to worry about dealing with it. The meat was good quality for the price. There are some wagyu cuts, but even the brisket is meaty and definitely not freeze dried vibes. All in all - would def come back, think it's a good bang for your buck non-AYCE place.

We asked to move instead of arguing. We were trying to cooperate.

This review is not about stroller policies -- restaurants have the right to have rules, and we respect that. What upset us was how the situation was handled. We came for a family dinner to celebrate my friend's and his brother's birthday since they do not have family here. We arrived with our sleeping child in a stroller. The staff saw the stroller when we entered, seated us, brought water, and we had already started choosing our combo order. Then a staff member approached us in a raised tone and told us something had to be done about the stroller. My husband did not refuse to cooperate -- he asked what solution they could offer and even asked if we could move to another table. We were told that table was reserved. When we asked about the policy, the staff member referred to a sign but could not show it when we respectfully asked to see it so we could understand and comply. What upset us most was hearing words that came across as: "It's your child -- you decide." My husband then asked to speak with a manager and briefly stepped away, asking the staff member to wait. Instead, the same staff member returned with security. Police were called, even though we never refused to leave and were not trying to stay against instructions. By that point, we no longer felt comfortable staying and chose to leave ourselves. What made this even more disappointing was that we still wanted to continue celebrating. We ended up going to Park's BBQ, where staff helped accommodate our stroller, and they kindly provided plates and birthday candles so we could continue the celebration. That experience reminded us that policies and hospitality can exist together. We are not asking for compensation. We simply believe this situation could have been handled with more communication, more patience, and more respect.

We had a good lunch here! Upon curb appeal there's a hit to be desired as the large building has construction, has openings on the main floor and upper floors/signage is for doctor/medical offices. BUT there is free private lot parking which is a plus! Entering the restaurant is large and the booth tables are long and comfortable. The beef quality was excellent! We like every cut we got and the pork belly was good as well. Only thing we would skip next time is the intestines. They have some TVs to watch the gams and the banchan was also pretty good. Price was not too bad too for the high quality!

Came here with a group of friends on a Saturday morning, and the first win was the huge parking lot because we all know parking in K-town can be an absolute nightmare. The restaurant itself is clean and well-kept, but I would say it's not the most ideal setup for larger groups. They were able to accommodate us by seating us at two tables next to each other, though we were still slightly separated. It wasn't a huge issue for us, but definitely something to keep in mind if you're hoping for one big table where everyone can sit closely together. This isn't AYCE, but their set meal came with more than enough meat to the point where we were genuinely struggling to finish everything. The portions were generous, and the quality didn't feel skimpy at all. They also included a variety of side dishes! The only thing that caught me off guard was being charged for rice paper, since I'm used to it being included at most KBBQ spots. That said, the server gave us plenty, so it wasn't a big deal, just something to note. Both of our servers were friendly and attentive, and I really appreciated that they cooked the meat for us. It made the experience feel more relaxed and allowed us to just enjoy the food! Overall, a great experience with solid food and service. I'd definitely come back!

Really the most hassle-free KBBQ joints in ktown! We made a reservation here for 6pm in case, but there seems to be a good amount of seats available still. It doesn't seem to get too crowded either later in the night, so dining here seems pretty accessible. Also, parking was free! They have their own dedicated parking lot and there were actually parking spots available. Service was quick and efficient here. We got the beef combo for 4 people, and it was definitely enough for us. I was practically full by the half point of it. We also got the corn cheese here which was pretty good! Honestly a lot better than most places that I had. My bf really enjoyed the egg + beef dish they had. Food is brought to you by the cat servers. The servers also come by to grill it for you too. Meat quality here was also really good. Banchans were all fresh. Overall experience was just very good. The interior of the place is kinda old school? Not as modern as other places, but still a greaaaat joint.

The food was delicious! The service was great. The staff cooks for you and they are very attentive. The restaurant itself is clean and modern.

The location is a little sketch... I had a 8pm dinner reservation and I was slightly scared of leaving my car in the lot and walking into the building. Also, walking in was slightly scary since everything was being remolded. For a split second, I thought I was in the wrong place. When I walked inside the establishment, I let out a sigh of relief... We checked in with the host at the front and followed a robot to our table. The robot would also bring our food to the table. However, our trusty server did all the hard work, which was grilling! We ordered the beef set for 3-4 and it was a LOT of food. In all honestly, I was a little underwhelmed. After seeing the 4.7 star rating, maybe my expectations where a little high. The quality of the meat was underwhelming. It was good but it was not the quality of meat or wagyu I have eaten elsewhere. I also didn't like that you had to pay extra for certain banchans. Service - Great Food - Good Location - Poor Overall - 3.7 Stars

This place is NOT AYCE definitely felt like an AYCE with all the sides and small plates they give you. We were definitely stuffed with their beef combo for a table of 4. Loved every single thing here, and everybody left satisfied. Was pretty loud around 8pm on a Saturday night and they had sports on the TV.

Ambiance: it's a spacious Korean bbq place, and they have a large parking lot shared with other businesses, currently there's construction going on for the shrine karaoke in the same establishment Service: very friendly and attentive, provided useful suggestion and served water adequately Food: variety choices of bbq items and combos Banchan - ** limited kinds, the crunchy radish was good Marinated Bone-In Short Rib - **** sweet and flavorful, recommend Buckwheat Cold Noodle Soup - ** broth was good, but buckwheat noodles were too soggy and stuck together Galbi-Beef Short Rib Soup - **** chewy and tasty with sweet and sour dipping sauce, recommend Price: moderate portions and reasonable prices, expect $35+ per person, and there's a 3.5% surcharge for credit card payment

Just some of the beef that came in the como.

This place rocks. And, has robots driving around to the tables blasting pop music. It is so much fun. We loved it. We had a party of 12 for my birthday. They even gave us a bottle of champagne to celebrate. The food was amazing. We ordered the combo fit for 6 people. We ordered two combos. Came out to about $60 a person including tip. This place was so fun. Well worth the money. Again, amazing food and amazing service! We celebrated my birthday here and had a wonderful experience. The service was fast, and the staff was very welcoming with great hospitality, super fast service. The food was extremely fresh, especially the meat, and it was very convenient that they cook the food for you. Ambiance is nice. Free parking made it even better. Highly recommend this place. It was like a fun party with soooooo much amazing food. Will 100% be coming back.

Ask the Community - Hanu Korean BBQ

Would it be best to have a reservation for a Saturday night?

    Is it all AYCE?

No it wasnt AYCE which i loved because I was able to take what I didnt eat home

    Are dogs allowed?

    Only service dogs are allowed

Can you take left over food?

    Yes. You can.

For 11 people which combo would you recommend?

I think 2 of the large beef combos.

I saw you allow dogs. Do you only allow indoors or outdoors because a TikTok post shows a dog indoors? Is this allowed in CA?

We made a reservation and they just called to say that they're only service dog friendly.

    Are there vegetarian options?

Yes. Hanu K BBQ offers mushrooms & vegetables barbecue and any other menus for vegetarian.

For the combo L size can feed about 6 people and if we have like 8 people can we order 2 L size combo for example combo B?

The Combo Large Beef and Pork was just right for our party of 6. Two Guys and 4 ladies. Not sure if they have a table for 8.

Is Hanu Korean BBQ's meat halal and also do they cook on the save stove top as non-halal meat?

    No it's not Halal

    Is this place AYCE?

No, this place is not AYCE

I believe rice bowls are unlimited (not 100% sure), but they'll make only 1 batch of kimchi fried rice for the table, based on the # of guests.

    Is this restaurant Korean owned?

Yes. The owner's family also owns the building.

Do they still have outdoor seating?

They did when I was last there 3 months ago

Is this AYCE Korean BBQ testaurant?

    No, it's by the plate.

No, real Hanu is not allowed to be imported in the U.S.

Will hanu bbq be open on New Years Day?

    Can you bring your pet?

Pet needs to be a service animal and provide proof of SERVICE DOG license before seating. This is not a pet friendly restaurant at all. We were told to wait to be seated today and then told that we may not be seated unless we have proof that all… Read more

Bludso's brisket is tender and marinated just right. While some briskets are too salty, Bludso's maintains a light and balanced flavor profile, which lets me enjoy the flavor of the beef. However, be warned that some leaner cuts might be a tad bit dry. The pork ribs were also great. although they weren't "fall off the bone" soft, it's still one of the best ones I've had in LA. The sides were also good. They weren't mind blowing but they were definitely comforting. Overall, Bludso's is a great BBQ spot that I would come to again and again. Definitely one of the best in LA. Note: I do have to say that if you're from Texas, you might not be "wow'd". Franklin BBQ in Austin is leagues above both Bludso's and Moo's (first time in my life having brisket melt in my mouth!!). But if you've never left LA, Bludso's will probably be the some of the best BBQ you've had in your life!

While portions…read morehave gradually gotten smaller as prices continue to rise, I want to focus mainly on the food quality itself. And overall, Bludso's is still a solid BBQ joint that I'll continue coming back to. Brisket - 4.5/5, Lean Brisket - 3.5/5. The standout here is definitely the beef brisket. They offer two versions: regular brisket and lean brisket. The regular brisket is well-smoked, with tender, moist meat that pulls apart nicely. The dry rub has a great balance of seasoning and flavor without overpowering the beef. My only complaint is that the brisket can be a little fattier than I'd prefer. On the other hand, the lean brisket swings too far in the opposite direction; it has too much lean meat. It loses too much moisture and ends up noticeably dry. Honestly, I wish they offered something right in between the two cuts because the flavor itself is excellent. Even so, the brisket remains the reason I keep returning. Pork Ribs - 3.5/5. The pork ribs are good, though not particularly memorable compared to some of the better BBQ spots around. The flavor is there, but the ribs were slightly dry and lacked the tenderness I was hoping for. The taste and texture just didn't fully come together for me. BBQ Chicken - 2.5/5. The BBQ chicken was probably the weakest meat option I tried. The chicken was properly smoked, but the smokiness completely dominated everything else. I couldn't really pick up much seasoning or flavor beyond the smoke, which made it feel one-dimensional and less interesting overall. As for the sides, the cornbread and baked beans were both above average. The cornbread had a good texture and flavor, while the baked beans had a nice depth and complexity that complemented the BBQ well. The mac and cheese, however, was a letdown for me since it tasted a bit dry. Overall, Bludso's BBQ is still a dependable place for BBQ in LA, especially if you're craving brisket. It may not be perfect across the board. Still, the quality of the smoked meats - particularly the brisket - keeps it firmly in my regular rotation.

We also saw the burgers from YouTube so got 2 of the Thicc burgers to share among everyone. We got a sides of the Texas chili to try. Everything was great. Our group really enjoyed the food and everyone said the BBQ was some of the best they've had. The brisket was really tender and seasoned well. Everything was seasoned well actually. The burger was great. It was soft, great flavor and was just really solid. One of the best burgers I've had. The ribs were everyone's least favorite, but that just means the other food tasted better. Ribs were still good. All the sides were delicious as well. The Texas chili was great, the Mac and cheese was creamy and the potato salad tasted homemade. We could tell it was made in house. The sweet iced tea was refreshing, not overly sweet b Overall, I'll have to come back here to try their desserts and other items. I'll for sure be getting the burger and brisket again.
