I recently visited Yangmani's newest location on Western with a couple of friends to celebrate a birthday, and it did not disappoint. This is one of those places where you really can't go wrong. While they don't offer all-you-can-eat, the quality of both the meats and the banchan more than makes up for it. They serve side dishes you don't typically find at other KBBQ spots like quail eggs and marinated sesame leaves, which felt especially nostalgic and authentic. We opted for a premium selection focused mainly on beef, and that turned out to be the right call. Every cut was tender, juicy, and clearly high quality. One unique touch that stood out was their matcha salt...something I hadn't encountered before. It's a subtle addition, but it adds a distinct depth that enhances the flavor of the beef in an interesting way. The space itself is beautiful and feels like a step up from their original location, even if it's a bit bittersweet that they've moved. As for parking, there's street parking available along Western, as well as a nearby lot. We ended up walking from Koreatown since a friend lives nearby, which was convenient. Overall, I highly recommend Yangmani to anyone looking for high-quality Korean BBQ. It's easy to see why it's so popular within the Korean community.

Aside from the chained KBBQ big boys around LA and OC Counties, Yangmani is another OG KBBQ place that's superb. The waiting time can be quite awhile, up to a hour plus, especially during the weekends. So personally, I rather come during the week. Service is great, and the meat is good. The offer small combos for two people, and large combos for more of us. The meat quality is leaner compared to other places. My favorite is the beef galbi, and the brisket. Easy to cook, at medium-rare, and enjoy. The bon chons are bottomless. Rice paper may be limited though, but the salad and kimchi is unlimited. Personally, I rather save my stomach for the meat. Remember, these are combos and not all you can eat (ayce). The service is awesome. They'll cook for you! The servers are very attentive as they keep moving checking on their tables. During the wait, or after the meal, Yangmani offers slushis at the front door area. Nice perk to keep people coming! Parking however is paid valet. I think it's $3.00 mandatory. Their lot is smaller, and they may park your car elsewhere. Overall, I always enjoyed my meal here. Great experience and awesome service. Yes, your clothes will smell like your food afterwards. Enjoy! LoL.

Got the variety combo for two, the brisket and short rib were very good. Coupled with the beef belly and ribeye slices, I was definitely stuffed at the end of the meal. The sides were also amazing. I have to say, Yangmani might have some of the best side dishes in all of Ktown. I really enjoyed the braised beef and the sour (but refreshing) cucumbers. Service was good too, the servers grill the meats for you and are knowledgeable of which sauces go best with which meat. Parking is valet, $5 if you Venmo and $4.5 if you use cash. Overall, I'd definitely come again!

Really really good KBBQ. Is it the best? That's debatable. We went at 5:45pm on a Saturday night and there was no wait which is a huge plus. The side dishes were all super tasty and the meal came with plenty of dipping sauce for your meat. We ordered the variety set for 2 and it was more than enough food for us. My favorites were the ribeye and the brisket, cooked to perfection by our server. Service is friendly and quick. We were seated close to the server station so that might be a huge reason why. Expect the typical loud drunk Korean uncles and aunties vibes and to pay a decent amount of money.

Simply the best spot for intestines--hands down. We came in around lunchtime on a Friday; it was busy with a smaller server team, so service was a bit stretched. That said, the food quality is consistently on point. Everything tastes fresh, flavorful, and the banchan selection is excellent. Valet parking (as expected in K-Town) is available, accepts AMEX, and they can split the bill for up to two people.

Went around 12:30 and was seated immediately. We ordered the Variety Combo ($96). It's definitely on the pricier side, but it was filling even though it's not AYCE. The meats were just okay overall, nothing too memorable. The only standout for me was the boneless short rib. Also, the service felt a bit standoffish, though I did appreciate that they cook the meats for you. Parking is valet, but we were able to find street parking instead. Not a bad spot to try

We came in at 9:55pm, an hour before closing and were told that we don't have long to eat. We were seated anyways and were asked to pay up front. Totally fine by us, and got the beef intestine set where we were able to try all 4. The bon chon was really good, personal favorites were the rice and fish cake and salad. The beef large and small intestines were really good, other two not so much. Was really grateful for the waiter to cook our intestines for us though, was nice. Around 10:30pm though, things started to get awry, the waiter started to close up shop and asked us if we wanted a box even though we weren't done eating. We got one box and wanted to pack the bon chon to go as well to not waste it, however the waiter asked us what it was for and he didn't allow us to pack it to go. Was annoying being rushed and not allowed to pack our left overs as we bought a set but it it was it is. My sister was really upset about the whole experience which was a downer for me. Otherwise it was a nice interior. We also did not get any water. Parking outside but there's alot of trash on the street.

I have been interested in trying their new location since they moved deeper into ktown. Street parking seems impossible, but thankfully this plaza has valet for $5. Yukhoe - 4.5/5, excellent portion for the price. The pine nuts add an excellent nutty flavor to the sweet marinade, the raw beef is frozen and is super refreshing with the Korean pear. The flavor is more sweet than savory which I don't prefer, but overall this was a really good entree. Gopchang - 5/5, prepared much better than other kbbq restaurants. They were able to get the gamey taste out of the intestine, and it was cooked well with crispy sides. Beef tongue - 3.5/5, usually my favorite cut but maybe little too thin? Variety combo - 4/5, great value for different cuts and types of meat. The server overcooked one of the cuts, but overall very good experience.

Great to quality of meats. Got the variety combo for me, my wife and kid. Should've gotten something marinated for one of the meats. Great banchans. Service was quick surprisingly on a Saturday. Seated within 5 minutes.

Yangmani is one of my favorite Korean BBQ restaurants that I've been going to since they were previously located on Olympic Boulevard before and they moved to their current Western location a few months ago. The quality of the meat is great and everything tastes delicious, and the staff is always friendly. What I especially love about this place is the banchan (side dishes) -- they all have deep, well-developed flavors and are incredibly tasty. That's why I enjoy coming here from time to time, and I think I've been here more than 10 times so far.

Came here right before the airport and honestly what a great decision!!! their meat quality is definitely better than the one in Rowland Heights ! Their service is OK. Their ambience is definitely very nice inside. I definitely love all the meat selection that we picked.

I first tried Yangmani back when they were at their original Olympic location, and I freaked out a lil when I came one day and saw they had closed.. So when they finally revealed their new Ktown location, I was really excited to check it out. The new space is much more spacious with tables that don't feel as cramped (depending on your party size), and thankfully the food is still just as delicious. Depending on our mood, my friends and I usually order the Chef or variety combo since they offer a good mix of different meats--sometimes we get both if we're really starving. The service has always been amazing and the staff is super attentive. They also cook the meats for you, which elevates the whole experience. There's a parking lot out front and there's valet available at certain times.

    Clara C.

We usually visit the Rowland Heights location, but after a long time, we decided to head out to LA and try this one. They mentioned it has been about a year since they relocated. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the service was genuinely kind and attentive. There's no need to compare the two locations--both offer consistently great food in their own way. The ambiance was lovely, and the quality of the meat was excellent, making the experience very satisfying overall.

Such a nice option when you want something a little different without going across town. We ordered the coconut beef adobo, pork ribs, and the cornbread bibingka. The coconut beef adobo was definitely the standout for me. It kind of reminded me of Bicol express with a slight tanginess. Super flavorful and really good with steamed rice. The pork ribs were not your typical saucy, sweet, fall off the bone type. These were more dry style with a bark that can be a little tough, but the meat itself was still juicy underneath. The cornbread bibingka was also really good. It felt like the perfect mix of classic cornbread and bibingka, slightly sweet and soft, and the sugar on top was a nice touch. Portions were solid too. My husband and I had enough leftovers for the next day. Overall, really glad we finally got to try it, and we would definitely love to try more of their dishes someday.

Back in the day, you had to get there early because the place STAYED PACKED, and their ribs were THEE reason to go. They were hands down some of the best ribs I ever had as a kid. They put me on. Fast forward 15-20 years later, and today was my first time coming back since my teenage years. I tried calling ahead to place an order, but couldn't get through. Honestly, that didn't surprise me because Woody's was always busy. I figured it was still the same old Woody's. Then I pulled into the parking lot around 6 PM on a Thursday. Immediately, there was parking available. That alone felt odd. No line. Plenty of parking. Not a single customer inside. That should have been my first sign. We ordered beef ribs, sliced brisket, mac and cheese, and dessert. They were out of the banana pudding, so we settled for peach cobbler. The total was around $50, which isn't bad for dinner for two. The excitement really started to hit when we got home and opened everything up. Unfortunately, that's when reality set in. The mac and cheese was terrible. Completely flavorless, watery, and mushy. The pasta was so overcooked it practically fell apart and blended together like baby food. It tasted old and had absolutely no seasoning or richness whatsoever. First and last time ordering that. Next was the brisket. The slices were gray, dry, and looked like they'd been sitting around for a while. I took one bite and immediately said, "Absolutely not." Another disappointment. But I wasn't too worried yet because I came for one thing: THE RIBS. The flavor was actually still there. The sauce and seasoning reminded me of the Woody's I remembered. BUT THE TEXTURE... A completely different story. The ribs weren't tender, weren't juicy, and definitely weren't falling off the bone. They were tough enough that I found myself working for every bite. At that point, the empty parking lot, empty dining room, and lack of lines made a lot more sense. By the end of the meal, I ended up rinsing the remaining ribs off so my dog could enjoy them as a chew toy. What hurts most isn't the bad meal--it's seeing what was once a legendary BBQ spot become a shadow of what it used to be. I almost wish I hadn't come back because it tarnished some really great childhood memories for me. I don't enjoy leaving negative reviews, but I also believe in being honest. Maybe I caught them on a bad day, but based on this experience, Woody's is not the Woody's I remember, and unfortunately, I won't be returning. If it's any consolation, the cobbler was okay. But not worth going out of my way for.
