Long over due review: Came here late on a Friday and basically had to order before fast before last call. They were super understanding and patient with us even though we were cutting it close. Food and meat quality were great! It's hard to go wrong with kbbq in the area so add this to your list of places to try. If you don't eat beef, but eat pork like I do, this is another good spot where the pork options don't feel like an afterthought. I'll be back!

Real authentic Korean cuisine here and it was amazingly delicious and so good!!! All the best cuts of meats and the freshest vegetables. The presentation was so well made and prepared, I felt like I was in Seoul instead of Korean town in Los Angeles! The meal ended with a nicely spiced noodle soup which was the perfect way to end a grilled meal! The restaurant looked like a typical Korean grill venue, very clean grills! This is a must try, only in LA Korean town!!!!

Easily became one of my favorite quality KBBQ spots in K-Town! I came in with friends on a Monday for lunch and we were seated right away. The vibe was casual, comfortable, and very clean. We ordered the Baekdu set for five people and it was more than enough food for all of us. It came with cheese corn, which was easily everyone's favorite side dish -- so creamy! The side salad was also super fresh and crisp, and we couldn't stop eating it with the meat. Our favorite meat was definitely the short ribs but everything else tasted high quality anyway! Service really stood out too. Our server was very attentive. Even as the restaurant started getting busy, he kept checking in on us and made sure we never ran out of water or any of the side dishes we wanted. Highly recommend this place and can't wait to bring more friends here next time!

I went to Origin for their Dine LA 2026 set and loved it! It is now on my top restaurants near home list. It included: - Bulgogi Taco (2 pc) - Wagyu Brisket - Garlic Seasoned Prime Short Rib - Premium Thin Pork Belly - Gochujang Spicy Premium Pork Sirloin (kind of like jeyuk bokkeum) - Kimchi Fried Rice - Brisket Soybean Paste Hotpot with Noodle - Ice Cream & Yakgwa I quite enjoyed everything except: - I would replace the bulgogi taco (tastes decent but not memorable) - I thought the kimchi fried rice was mid (very mild flavor and a bit oily). The food was very filling, and meat quality was great. The wagyu brisket was much leaner than expected, so I expected it to be dry, but it turned out to still be yummy and enjoyable. The gochujang pork was *not* that sweet which was a big win for me! And the brisket soybean paste hotpot was a great way to end. I enjoyed it enough to take it home so I could add in additional ingredients and eat it again. An improvement I would suggest is to bring the ice cream out a bit later. We got the ice cream at the same time we got the hot pot and the gochujang pork (last meat) and so that meant we either had to eat the ice cream before end of meal, or finish our other food and let the ice cream melt. Lastly, I love the menu being on a little newspaper. The little creative touch makes the experience more memorable for me! Highly recommend this solid bbq place!

Inside chapman plaza. Parking is $10. I recommend street parking. A la carte kbbq. With super high quality meats. The price is expensive. The service is excellent and top notch, and cook the food well. I would go back. Origin family set serves 4 ($189)- Prime short rib- very soft, cooked well. It's marinade is very light. Boneless short rib- very soft. Beef brisket- good quality brisket thinly sliced Pork belly- it's super thinly sliced. Doesn't feel overly oily Bulgogi- super super good. Perfect marinade, not too sweet. Enough meaty flavor soft meat. Marinated bone in galbi $41- this was the real winner..then meat was super soft, slight sweetness from the marinade. Super super good. I would get this again. 1 Corn cheese included- pretty flavor. Enough for a small sample. Brisket soybean paste hotput- nice complimentary soup. Some soybean taste. Kimchi fried rice $15- super good. Not very dry, slight moisture. Great flavor. Kimchi pancake $15- average flavor. Pancake has nice crispiness. Terra- $10

First time trying Origin Kbbq thru Resy and we are pleasantly impressed by the quality of the meat and the kind services we received. We ordered the duo combo which in my opinion is more than enough for 2 people. The tofu soup pot at the end was a nice surprise (didn't realize it was included in the set at all). My favorite part is that I get to sit back and relax while the meat is cooked to perfection. I'm sure we will keep coming back whenever we crave some good Kbbq. Parking is not too bad...you can park at the H mart across the street and get parking validated if you shop there.

I came for dineLA The menu didn't look a lot but there were a lot of food for two of us. The cheese corn wasn't in the menu but they offered it. I love all the flavorful meats too. The food kept coming out. I didn't finish the noodles at the end. I will definitely come back for dineLA. Make sure to park on Mariposa.

We travel to Koreatown annually and this place definitely is top tier for kbbq. The dinner for two is the perfect amount of food with quality meats. Service was on point as they even cook your meat for you. Will definitely frequent this establishment in the future when visiting.

I've been wanting to try this place for a while and I stopped by with an evening reservation. We were greeted and seated immediately. Our table was already set up with all the sides and condiments. Our waitress quickly took our order and then the meats came out. Our server was great, she refilled our empty sides and cooked the meat simultaneously . The garlic prime rib was fantastic!!! I highly recommend Origin!

I have never had Korean BBQ and I was excited to try something new. Origins Korean BBQ is impressive. The quality of the meat is on another level, fresh, tender, and full of flavor. The short rib and rib eye were my favorites, but honestly every cut we tried was solid. Nothing tasted cheap or rushed. The corn cheese caught my eye, I didn't try it but others said it was really good. The service here is fast and attentive. The staff checks in constantly, swaps out your grill without you asking, and keeps banchan and drinks refilled. You never feel like you're waiting around. The restaurant itself is clean and modern with a really good vibe not smoky, not cramped, and great for a date, a family meal, or a night out with friends. I cannot tell you about price because I didn't pay for the meal nor did I get to see the menu. What I can say is the price is worth it for the experience. If you're craving KBBQ in Los Angeles and want a spot that delivers on both flavor and service, Origins is absolutely worth going to.

The four-person set meal at this place is really generous in portion. And now, if you tell the waiter "show me the origin", they will give you an extra serving of beef and mixed vegetables!!! I love to wrap it in perilla leaves and add some garlic slices. It's so fragrant! The round pork belly is full of oil and so delicious. The beef is also incredibly tender.

My wife and I came to Origin for Valentine's Day and it was honestly one of the best KBBQ experiences we've ever had. We ordered the Origin Duo special with boneless short rib and the lemonade and orange slush, and everything from start to finish was amazing. You can immediately taste that the meats here are on another level, every cut was super fresh, tender, and clearly higher quality than most Korean BBQ spots we've tried. The staff were extremely helpful and accommodating the whole night, checking on us often, helping with the grill, and making sure we had everything we needed without ever making us feel rushed. (Very relaxed vibe despite the amount of people there) One of the unexpected highlights was the melted cheese and corn around the grill, it was insanely good and paired perfectly with the meat. Between the quality of the food, the drinks, and the attentive service, it made for a fantastic Valentine's date, and we're already talking about coming back for our next special occasion. Easy 5 stars.

Been to over 35+ different Korean Bbq spots locally in my life and let me start off by saying origin definelty executed the experience spot on from the banchans to the meats. I'm very very picky when it comes to pork belly at kbbq spots and this was by far the best I've had. Dining experience ends with a ramen hot pot & boy was this delicious. I will definelty be back and pick origin over quarters

Thanks for the post. Just to be clear, this is the place diagonally across from Quarters? A friend is coming into town and we intended to go Quarters last time he was here but it was taking to long and we went here... I think.

Yes. It's in the same plaza on the opposite side and a store or two down. More across from tiger sugar

Did the name change to this restaurant recently?? I'm getting mixed answers. The restaurant before was the best dang Korean bbq I ever had. I want to be sure.

Same owners. Name and menu change.

    Do they take reservations?

They take reservations on Resy but not sure if you can go there and wait for a table.

Do they have kimchi fried rice?

Yes. It's very good. I tried it on a subsequent visit and it's great. The same kimchi fried rice they serve at Quarters. If you like this dish, I definitely recommend it here

Bludso's brisket is tender and marinated just right. While some briskets are too salty, Bludso's maintains a light and balanced flavor profile, which lets me enjoy the flavor of the beef. However, be warned that some leaner cuts might be a tad bit dry. The pork ribs were also great. although they weren't "fall off the bone" soft, it's still one of the best ones I've had in LA. The sides were also good. They weren't mind blowing but they were definitely comforting. Overall, Bludso's is a great BBQ spot that I would come to again and again. Definitely one of the best in LA. Note: I do have to say that if you're from Texas, you might not be "wow'd". Franklin BBQ in Austin is leagues above both Bludso's and Moo's (first time in my life having brisket melt in my mouth!!). But if you've never left LA, Bludso's will probably be the some of the best BBQ you've had in your life!

Disappointed with brisket, ordered 1/4 lb, only got 4 bites, half of this $12 piece was pure fat, Sad that the cook would plate this. Brisket was okay, also also dry. Sauces were good, tasty but not memorable. For LA this is probably decent BBQ, would probably go back, but would not go out of my way. Would like to try hot fresh food on a weekend and see a wider beer selection. Didn't get a thank you or goodbye upon leaving. Bottom line: Pricey for the quality and portions, would have given 4 stars if food was warm and I left full, but price was over $50 for just me and I would have liked to eat the rest of the brisket. 1/4 Brisket $12 ** 1/4 Rack Pork Ribs $12 *** 1/2 Pint Potato Salad $7 *** IPA $8.50 *** Tax 3.85 Tip $7.80
