I first visited Hae Jang Chon back around 2012, and we've returned every few years since. I'm happy to say that on a recent visit, everything was just as delicious as I remembered. We made a reservation in advance for a group of eight on a Saturday night, and the two-hour dining window starts once you're seated. Valet parking is $5 as of April 2026, but the lot was full when we arrived, so we ended up finding street parking instead. The meat quality is excellent, and the staff did most of the cooking for us on a stone grill. They even cleaned the grill a couple of times using shredded turnips. Service was friendly and attentive, they were quick to bring more meat, banchan, and drinks whenever we needed them. Our favorites were the marinated galbi, bulgogi, and brisket. Prices have definitely gone up since the COVID era, but at $44 for dinner, it still feels like a solid value considering the unlimited banchan, good-quality meat, and great service. We also brought a birthday cake, and they played a celebration song over the speakers, which added to the fun atmosphere. The K-pop playlist was a bonus, too. Just be sure to come hungry and you'll definitely leave satisfied.

Solid loved it!!! Came here before a dodger game and omg it was so good!! We carpooled with friends and this was their second time here. They loved it so they wanted to eat here again. Very nice options for everyone of course. The even had hot dogs?! I dont go to kbbq much so I thought it was great! The creamed corn was so good. They also open all the doors and windows for proper circulation and tha helped not smell like kbbq all day hahah. I barely took pics bc we all just dug in. I'd be back!

They raised the price a lot since the last time I came! I haven't been here in years and I remember this place being affordable. Price is steep now at $43 per person for dinner and weekends. I looked back on Yelp photos and it was $30 five years ago. i don't think people's wage went up 50% in the last 5 years. They have valet parking. They charge $5 which is fair in my opinion. it was $2 the last time i came. Came on a Saturday during dinner time. It was an hour wait. They don't have digital waitlist nor do they text you if your table is ready. Everything is on a piece of paper on a clipboard. Service was fantastic. Server was busy bringing everything we asked for and also cooking our food. They're super fast and very hard working. The food quality is great as well. Now that the pricing is almost premium, hard to recommend, but none the less food here is good.

Scouted out a kbbq place and decided to come here based on price and what meats were available. We got there as soon as they opened at 11 and were seated right away after they made up our table. Parking is $3, valet. We were there on a weekday so lunch was $37.99 a person for meats such as the beef short ribs, beef rib finger, and prime chuck among others. the servers will cook for you unless you ask to cook for yourself. Service is great, they refill your waters on the regular and they Their meats are fresh and their portions are decent sized. They have the usual sides: kimchi, spinach, spicy cucumber, spicy bean sprouts and potato salad. You can ask for other sides such as cheese corn, salad, steamed egg, soybean paste soup, radish wraps, etc. You can also ask for garlic and onions. I tried their soybean paste soup and it was probably the best I've tasted outside of when I make it at home - a smooth texture with cut up potatoes and zucchini. It's just really hot when it came out so next time I'd order it sooner than at the end of the meal. I can see this place being packed so even though there's a few benches outside, I'd sit at the coffee shop a few doors down if you've got an hour long wait.

We tried this place for the first time, and the bbq was excellent!! Top quality choice:prime meats, great service, and the waiters actually cook your meat for you! Lots of prime cuts and even with my little ole demanding self, the servers watched us like hawks and made sure anything was refilled and the meat was flipped! Steven, our server was friendly and had a sense of humor, alongside had lots of recommendations. We walked right in with no wait during lunch , though we heard towards evening time is normally a 3 hour wait, so we lucked out! Really love this place and I'll finely recommend it to my friends :)

Phenomenal Ktown spot for AYCE Korean bbq. There is normally a really long wait and no reservation system for smaller parties, but today at lunch my friend and I got lucky and we sat down in 10 minutes. The food here is absolutely incredible. The cuts of meat are premium quality, juicy, tender and you can tell the meat is very fresh. My favorite items were the premium brisket, premium marinated bulgogi and the yummiest ever thinly sliced beef belly. Absolutely succulent, flavorful meat and with each bite, your taste buds start dancing to Montell Jordan's "This is how we do it" song from happiness. Once you're done with all the awesome meat, banchan, the egg and the kimchi pancake, you receive the final royal treatment in the form of prepared right in front of you Kimchi Fried Rice. Just like all the other delicious food items, this rice is no sleeper. Scores of ingredients are mixed into the rice and prepared right on the grill. The flavor notes are unparalleled and this rice cannot be skipped at the end of your meal. The service is excellent here, as they bring your meats quick and assist you in cooking it and they're quick to refill your sides as well. The place itself has about 15 tables with individual grills. The restaurant looks clean and the today's $29.99 AYCE lunch special hit the spot perfectly. Will definitely be back!

This place was so good! I don't usually come out to Koreatown for KBBQ since I don't live close, but wow I've definitely been missing out. The food here was delicious and they had a great meat selection. I also loved that they cooked the meat for us. It made the whole experience even better since they really know how to cook everything perfectly. Shoutout to our server, Steven he was very attentive and made great recommendations throughout the meal. The ambiance is lively and fun, perfect for coming with friends or family. We'll definitely be back again!

meats are great! Staff is very helpful. lots of seating and pretty open space but it does get very packed. cant wait for the next visit here!

I came here based on a strong recommendation from my Korean friends. I visited on a Monday for lunch, but since it was a holiday, they charged the dinner price of $44 per person, which is higher than many other KBBQ places. The staff were very friendly and attentive, helping grill the meat and frequently cleaning the stone pan with radish to prevent burnt seasoning. The salad was good, and most of the meats were fresh. However, the octopus was not fresh. Overall, great service and cleanliness, but the price is high.

Came around 11:20 PM on a Saturday and the wait was about 20 minutes, which honestly isn't bad for a busy night. It was pretty packed inside, but the atmosphere was really nice and lively. It's about $44 per person, which is a little pricey in my opinion, but the quality of the meats and the service make it worth it. The meats were good quality, and I thought it was cool that they cook the meats for you. Dahvin was AMAZING. Great service! Very attentive, kind, and fast. He cooked our meats perfectly and kept checking on us even though the place was busy. Definitely made the experience better. They also close late, which is really nice if you want a late dinner. There's valet or street metered parking. When we went, the valet people were already done for the night, so we just self-parked. Overall, had a really good experience. Good food and great service. I would come back.

This has easily become one of my favorite Korean BBQ spots. Even though we were quoted a 30 minute wait, it honestly flew by, and once inside we appreciated how spacious and comfortable the place was. The overall vibe was lively but not overwhelming, which made it easy to relax and enjoy the experience. Our server, Paul, truly made the night. He was attentive without hovering, checked in consistently, kept our sides filled, and somehow managed all of this while handling multiple tables. I really appreciated that the staff does the cooking for you. it takes the pressure off and lets you fully enjoy the meal. Paul clearly takes pride in what he does; when we tried flipping the meat ourselves, he jumped in right away and let us know he had it covered so we could just sit back and enjoy. The quality of the food was excellent, especially the beef belly which was perfectly thin, flavorful, and just the right balance of fat. Refills on side dishes were generous, which we loved. The only small downside was that sodas come in cans, so no refills there, but it didn't take away from how great the meal was overall. Paul went above and beyond and truly elevated our dining experience. Huge thanks to him!! he deserves all the recognition!!

Amazing, delicious kbbq - I may have found my new favorite spot! The meats are fresh and of good quality, banchan is delicious, and service is amazing. Everyone was very friendly and they help you grill the meat too. Street parking and valet parking is available too

    Harrison W.

Food: 4.5/5 Service: 4.5/5 Ambiance: 4/5 After being let down by so many ayce k bbq. I was losing hope until I tried this restaurant. I found the street parking so I avoided paying $5 for valet. The cook top was on the stone. The employee helped with the cooking and it was very efficient. Brisket tasted great throughout the order even second and third time. Their menu is not worth 5 stars but their meat quality and service made up for it. The employees are on top of all of my orders. They finished up with kimchi fried rice which tastes better with meat so make sure you spare some meat before the cook the fried rice. Highly recommended and I will definitely be back.

This location was recently named one of three LA area buffets in the top 150 in the country, based on Google reviews. I've been to a lot of buffets (Chinese and otherwise), and this was near the top, especially based on the price. We came about 30 minutes after its 11 am opening, and the place was already packed with a line waiting to get in. You pay first, getting water and soda cups at checkout (plates are plentiful near the buffet itself). Emmelyn was the check-in associate, and she was joyful and friendly, putting a smile on my wife's face after a stressful drive through LA traffic. We found out that my wife's lunch was free because it was her birthday. Lunch pricing is $15.19 (M-F), minus $1 for seniors and military. Refillable soda is $2.99. It's find your own seating, and we grabbed the first seats we could find. -- being super crowded meant the food was constantly being replenished and kept fresh. It also meant a lot of line (inadvertent) line cutting and careful, slow movements...need to be careful for sure. -- the taste of the food was good, mainly because most things were turning over quickly. However, the selection of dishes wasn't huge, and the soups didn't look too good. -- I focused on the sushi and was satisfied. They had different type simple rolls and nigiri, with soy sauce at each table. They also had a bottle of eel sauce to douse your rolls with more, if you want. Towards the end, discovered a New Zealand green mussel dish in a hot chili sauce, which I took full advantage of. -- the must get is the Mongolian Grill, which dominates the center of the restaurant. There were three types of sliced frozen meat (beef, chicken, pork), a variety of vegetables (including my favorite, baby corn), and various runny sauces that you pour on top when done. Once your bowl is complete, you need to give it to the operator. But here its a bit different: it operates on a unique system that I've only seen here. In the front counter, there are 20 spots where numbered pager sits. Once a person fills up a bowl with raw ingredients, they place it on the next available pager spot, taking the pager with them. Once the food is cooked, the pager goes off. You then exchange the bowl in your spot, with the pager...and the cycle continues. I asked myself what would happen if all 20 pagers were taken, and decided if that happened, you would have to wait since there would be no more space on the grill for your plate anyway. The system worked really well, with all three of us taking advantage of it. Taste wise, I've had better but certainly not for that price. And I just love the efficiency of it all. -- soft serve ice cream was available, and it was very thick and creamy (though a bit off in taste). My wife also mentioned that you can get cotton candy as well. -- Service was good, with an employee in a hostess outfit personally letting us know that she was there to assist us, including getting drinks. She did clear dishes when necessary, but also seemed to be supervising our section. What's interesting is that the same report mentioned King Buffet in Garden Grove, which now seems to be another branch of the Paradise chain. So need to be leery of such reports not being current...but in this case, following its suggestion paid off.

I've dined here about 5 times over the years, and I had never been offered a coffee or tea toward the end of dinner, and certainly not "to go." Seeing other diners with coffee and tea on my last visit, I asked my server at the end of the night, and I was told the hot beverage station was already closed for the night. Michael was the first to offer me coffee or tea, and I requested a "to go" cup, which he brought. Through dinner, he watched my Diet Coke and brought a refill even without my having to ask. The busboys replaced used silverware, which has also never happened for me here. They were quick to remove used dishes and seafood shell trays. I know these services seem basic, but I usually do not receive good service at buffets, so it's worth highlighting. Michael's service was by far the best, most personable, and most thoughtful service I've had at this restaurant. He is a real standout. This seafood buffet is unique in Los Angeles, as other hotel buffets closed in the COVID Era. I'm happy this one is still around to give a taste of a small-scale Vegas-style buffet. Yes, the price is really high, and the food is not perfect, but it's a buffet. You can't expect perfection at a buffet. Though the lobster was nowhere near as impressive as fresh lobster in Maine, it was fresher and less dried out than the lobster I've had at buffets in Vegas (Caesars Palace, Wynn). The crab was very good, and I also recommend the top notch mashed potatoes and very solid pork belly (there are two varieties) and prime rib. Also this buffet is a great place to get your fill of oysters on the half shell. Oddly, they've started closing down the ice cream station before dinner time is over on my last two visits. Given the high price, I don't think the food is good enough to come multiple times a year, but every once in a while, it's a fun experience, especially with a server like Michael. Cafe Sierra remains a reliable stop in LA, and I hope it continues to stick around.

We come here so often that each experience is always different…read more I do not have much complaints about the food, everything is the same as before. Most of the staff are friendly and a few might look grumpy, but we got the ones who were nice. We get our drinks occasionally refilled but that's usual at a buffet, you need to flag someone down if you don't catch them while they are cleaning up your plates. The downside for my latest visit isn't on the place itself, but due to a restroom incident and it's usually dirty every time I visit so I can't give it 5 stars until that's resolved. We were done eating and so I decided to use the restroom. After using the largest stall because all the others were taken, I didn't realize someone exploded near the back of the toilet. I only noticed when I got up that it was a huge MESS. I knew some of it got on my dress too so I had to call someone to help me grab something for me to change into because I cannot wear my dress after that disgusting interaction. After I changed, we went to the staff for a bag so I can throw my clothes away and I told the staff what happened. I am not sure if they understood me because they didn't respond in a way I thought they would. Luckily I didn't get it on any other clothes, I had to vigorously wash my arms though just in case. Other than that, love the snow crab legs, grilled galbi and pork steaks, and fried shrimp tempura.

The fried chicken was room temperature, the fries were mushy, the salt and pepper calamari was chewy and cold. The crab legs were the only item that was good, it wasn't overcooked, perhaps that's the benefit of the food not being hot in the buffet. Dishes were cleared but drinks were not refilled. And drinks are in addition to the buffet price. The desserts are sad. Place is clean and large, but not particularly well kept. We will not be coming back.

In addition, at dinner only, each person can order one lamb shank - just this piece of meat alone is worth your $28.99 visit. The restaurant food section is maintained very cleanly, food is beautifully displayed for a self-serve buffet restaurant. Plenty of seating area with ability to accommodate larger parties, and feels family friendly. The only shortcoming they have is that their fruit section tastes consistently unappealing, and some of the desserts don't tastes too great either. But at least their main dishes taste good. Regardless, this is a regular lunch spot frequented, and would bring friends over for dinner here, if they ever feel like Mediterranean.

To be fair, I went on a weekend, so I paid the highest price. I could see this place being a much better value during weekday lunch. The inside was very clean, which I appreciated. One thing that felt a little awkward was the service setup. There didn't really seem to be servers inside, and you pay when you leave, so I wasn't completely sure how much tip made sense. I noticed they even had a 10% tip option, so I'm guessing they know the setup can feel a little unclear. The food overall was clean and decent. It felt like they had pretty much everything you would expect from an American-style Mediterranean/Middle Eastern buffet. Nothing really stood out as especially amazing, but there was a good variety, and most of the food gave me that "this is probably healthy" feeling. I'd consider coming back if I were with friends who really like Mediterranean food.
