Poor services / dishonest and put extra nail on my tire. I knew something was wrong when James asked me for $80 cash for a tire patch on Memorial Day I decided to do oil change and pay cash. The price came down to $40 for the patch. We both saw one nail on the tire. Guess what 30 min later, I was told we need a new tire because there are one extra nail just show up on the same spot. What is the chance one extra nail show up after we both saw one nail and he even show to the other tech. I will call the manager or corporate on Tuesday. I said no to a new air filter and was quoted a price. When it was time to pay, the bill was much higher than what I'd been quoted. I expressed my surprise, but they just kind of shrugged. Turns out that after initially entering everything in the computer, they added a new air filter in the other computer once back in the bay area. Got my car checked out, they werent very vocal with what the problem was. The guy who i talked to didnt seem like he dealt with people very often. Kind of felt like i was talking to a caveman. Price? Outrageous. Service? Poor So I took my car here for the first time because it was in a convenient location to my commute. The price is Higher than any place I have been too. They "cleaned" the windows of the car, but I can only see streaks of dirt where a dirty towel went. They claim to vacuum the floor. that's fake news. Left the place and realized there's no new sticker to tell me when the next oil change is, thanks for that. They did not reset my dashboard notification so it still says I need an oil change. The only redeeming quality of this place was the guy at the counter. He was pretty friendly. Honestly, I'm pretty upset about how much I paid and how little I got. I will not come back. I went there twice and never had a chance to have their service. First one I was there with so many vehicles in lines. I was in the line. I waited for twenty mins and none of the vehicles move. I didn't see anyone to come to window and ask what service do we need. I was puzzled as I usually have my service at jiffy line in different places. But this place seems not a friendly and serve an effective time. I left. Second one I came and no vehicles in the lines but me. I saw people working in the garage with vehicles. I was thrilled to be the first in the line. Yet again I waited for 10 minutes. No one comes out and asks us what service do we need. They saw me and did not come out. It's unbelievable and very unfriendly place. I don't recommend this place until their service of effiencey time and etiquette change. read more

I go there for oil changes and, let's be real: the main reason people go there is for the convenience. About a month or so ago, I took my car there for a different issue. The technician almost immediately told me what he felt the problem was and freely admitted that this was not something they do. Fine--I went elsewhere and had the repair done. This morning, I went back again due to a different issue--still not an oil change (I work from home now and pretty much don't even drive 3k miles/year anymore). The technician took my car to a separate bay and within about 10-12 minutes, "borrowed" me to tell me what he thought the issue was this time. He told me that he couldn't do the full fix but that he could do a cursory fix and gave me a recommendation. What he did has worked great and I feel his recommendation is spot on. Unfortunately, I did not get the name of the guy several weeks ago but I did get the person's name today--Aaron Wetzell. I found him to be extremely helpful, knowledgeable, respectful of my time and money and I feel that he deserves to have his praises sung. While the shop isn't equipped to handle major items like rebuilding an engine, they certainly are competent at the work they do. Based on the honesty and integrity of my last two experiences alone there, they have my service and I cannot sing their praises enough! I hope Jiffy Lube respects their employees and compensates them adequately because good, honest, helpful employees are worth their weight in gold and Aaro n is heading up that list! The staff was fine, and the wait time was great. What was a detractor, and a big one for me was the price. To get 4 quarts of Mobil 1 full synthetic from autozone is about $32 and a free filter. I'm all about making a buck, but to charge $95 before tax for something they get for far less in bulk is crazy. I know they have to make a buck, too, but there are locations that cost far less for good service. Just do your research and definitely look for coupons if you intend on going here. read more

Been here many, many times, but don't think I'll be back after this weekend experience. We arrived and there were 2 bays in use and the far left one didn't appear to be in use (if it was, couldn't see in to confirm). There was one car in line in each of these 2 active bays but the middle one just freed up and the car in line moved into the bay, so we go in this line as we were clearly next. No one came out to confirm lines or see us for approximately 10 minutes (they normally have someone come out very soon after a car pulls up). During this time, more cars arrived and there was now a car in line behind us. An employee came out, and took our information. A few seconds later, the far left bay opened up and was empty. Instead of having us go to that bay as we were clearly next in line, this employees had us stay in line and had the car behind us who had just pulled up move into the empty bay. We were confused why he let the car behind us jump us in line as we had already been waiting 10 minutes. We waiting a couple minutes figuring there must have been a logical reason, but no, there didn't seem to be as our car was still waiting and we saw the car that was behind us now getting worked on. We asked, and one of the employees didn't really answer our question and blew us off saying that the car in front the bay in front of us was almost done. We waited another 5-10 minutes and were really annoyed at this point. We still didn't receive an answer why the employee had the car behind us jump in front of us but now we were waiting longer and longer with our car still not being serviced and the car in the bay in front of us still being worked on. We asked again why the car behind us in line was directed jump in line in front of us and again, they didn't answer and just said that the car in the bay in front of us was "almost done". Again they completely blew off our question. I told them that this was not okay and we were just going to leave since they didn't seem to want to give us service. They simply said "okay, bye". I informed him that I would be making a complaint as this was not excusable and he said "okay, bye". I can't believe the service we received in this experience and most like will not be coming back. read more

They told me I needed to have services done that I had already had done - at this same location and that were not due again for 25,000 more miles. They obviously took one look at me and though they could tell me I needed to have certain services performed and I'll blindly believe them. I had to pull up my own records on my phone and show them the history of services they performed before the service person backed off. Also I had AC / coolant service performed and a couple weeks later, went in for an oil change and they wanted to charge me $5 to top off the coolant. It's a shame because a few years ago this location used to have great management and service that I could trust. read more

Got oil change there. By the time I got home 10 minutes later, my tire was completely flat. The AAA tow truck driver told me that he could not find any holes in the tire. Took car to Mr. Tire. The mechanic told me that Jiffy Lube damaged the tire's plug when filling it with air. I had to pay over $200 to get my tire fixed. I went back to Jiffy Lube with the written proof from Mr. Tire and was basically told to pound sand. The manager at Jiffy Lube called me "buddy" in a dismissive manner and denied any liability for my damaged tire. I then asked for a free oil change and the manager said no. Will never go back to this Jiffy Lube on Patrick Street on the golden mile. Will only go to Lube Center in the future. read more

Then wanted me to drive to the shop with it unattached. My vehicle has a skid plate (or used to) protecting the oil pan. It is now missing and I only discovered it after the fact, after Jiffy Lube lost it. they spilled oil in the engine compartment (hello this isn't like cleaning your bathroom (spraying some bleach in the air and toilet to make it seem clean)).... I've been to plenty of oil change places and the experience is always the same. I go in for an oil change, they tell me I need new brakes, or a fuel induction service, or a fluid change, or something stupid and easy for them to make some easy cash while I get nervous about whether I really need what they're recommending. That just wasn't the case at all at this Jiffy Lube. I went in needing an oil change and I had 3 different light bulbs out in the back of my car, which was odd. They checked the fuse box and saw no issues, so they took the bulbs I already had purchased and tossed them in for a really cheap price. One was giving them trouble (as it had for me as well) and they ended up figuring it out and making it work even though it took them almost 20 mins to do so. They were super happy and cheery, which is almost never the case at an oil change place, and of course had coffee and tea. They vacuumed the floors and gave me legitimate advice about simple services my car needed. I knew for a fact my back brakes were about due before going into it and that's exactly what they mentioned. They weren't pushy, didn't ask for the sale on the spot, just said that there was 1/8th of an inch left or so and simply told me to swing by again and they'd be happy to change them before it got to the rotors. They were exactly right and didn't pitch me on anything else. I still haven't changed my brakes, oh well, but nonetheless, they really provided a great experience and I'll be happy to pay the extra $5-10 or so compared to cheap places to ensure I get a good experience, carpets vacuumed, and genuine advice. read more

Either I haven't been to a Jiffy Lube in Ohio, or they do things really differently in Maryland. LOL I needed an oil change...big time. (Although...it turns out not as badly as I thought, because they informed me that the manufacturer recommendation for my vehicle is every 5k, not 3k. Who knew? Not me!) There was a moment of awkwardness as I spoke to the gentleman that came out to my car, he was politely standing there, waiting for me to get the heck out of my car. I was expecting the sort here, where you drive in and sit in your car while they clunk around in that mysterious underground crevice performing all sorts of car maintenance magic. Not so here, they drive your car in...taking the anxiety away from me, since I'm always afraid I'll mess it up somehow and end up with my car halfway in the magic crevice of car repair...with some poor employee pinned against the oil filters, frantically waiving for attention. So, I sat in the waiting room, drinking my complimentary coffee and watching CNN. I also got a tranny flush/fill while I was there, because Yota really needed that, too...and I'm nothing if not the "kill two birds with one stone" type. 30 minutes later, I was back on the road, with clean windows, filled fluids, fresh oil and a transmission that was probably in shock from the change in aesthetics. They didn't try to sell me on filters I didn't need, in fact they showed me the filters and said they looked fairly new (which was true, I'd replaced them myself about 6 mos. previous). I called to ask for pricing and the sales rep on the phone was super nice. I pulled up in the line and someone came out to ask what I needed. I asked for an oil change and he told me what's included. So far I love this service. I need synthetic oil they said it starts at $70 for 5 quarts of oil any additional oil is $9.99 a quart. I also need coolant they said it's only $3.99 more. At the dealership I pay $90 for an oil change. And I normally need 7 quarts of oil. I arrived at 2:45PM lets see how long this take. And you don't have to have an appointment. My total is $97.99 tax and everything, ok they vacuum the carpet and wash the windows. The dealership does the same except they don't clean the windows. And when I wait for my oil change it takes at least 45 min. Here at Jiffy Lube it took them 30 min with no appointment. And the customer service is amazing! My wife said a lot of the Jiffy Lube branches got sued that's why they are so nice. I don't care they improved their service and I love it!! read more

I would avoid this Jiffy Lube. Jiffy Lube is known to sell customers things for their car they do not need and this location is a definite offender. I brought my car in for a simple oil change and the technician let me know my radiator fluid was low and that it was imperative I get a flush to solve the problem. They even added a "You don't want to be stranded on the side of the road with an overheated engine." Not knowing what he was talking about, I said thanks, but I'll wait til next time. They charged me a few dollars to 'top off' the radiator fluid. Upon consulting a mechanic, they let me know that if my radiator fluid was low, a flush would not help that. This would indicate that I have a leak of some sort. I kept an eye on the radiator fluid level until the next time I was due for an oil change and it did not drop below the max fill line. I brought my car back to Jiffy Lube for the next oil change and again, they told me my radiator fluid was low and they recommend getting a flush saying, "This is the second time we let you know about this." I said no thanks to both the flush and the offer to top off the fluid (I checked right before I drove in so I knew it was maxed on fluid.) My two most recent oil changes I took my car in to a local mechanic near where I work and told him about these claims Jiffy Lube was making and he confirmed there is no issue with a radiator leak. Just another example of Jiffy Lube trying to take advantage of people less familiar with cars. I'd look elsewhere for oil changes. read more

I'm so done with Jiffy Lube! I'm just hearing today about their "2 qt maximin top off within the 3000 miles", after 18 years there!! I don't see this written anywhere & have NEVER been told this even though I've definitely gotten more than 2 qts in that period many times! I just don't get how companies have policies that are nowhere to be seen!! I've been in about 5 different locations in the past 6 months, never heard it!! Called corporate, not helpful, as 1 woman told me that policy is on the invoice.... It isn't!! They also put the wrong type of oil in my car! My oil change light kept coming up prior to my next oil change date, so I checked the oil on the oil dipstick, there was no oil on it. Afraid that there was a leak somewhere, I took it to a nearby body shop and found out that there were no signs of leaks anywhere and they told me based on what they saw, it looked like my oil was never changed and my sticker was just switched out. I did not want any kind of oil for $50+ but they gave me "semi-synthetic" without asking, saying that's what was used last time. For $50? That last time I sent a new employee to get an oil change on the company car and the poor guy wasn't able to turn them down with their constant pestering. I never wanted any kind of synthetic oil... They are trained to upsell, but I did not know they were trained to sneak overpriced "upgraded" oil into a customer's car without their prior consent. This time when the employee came back to tell me of the tale, I thereafter called this Jiffy Lube to see why they would do this and they said all they could do was give me a coupon on my next oil change. I came in with a coupon this time! Next one?! No way in hell was I ever going back. When I let them know that a standard oil change should never cost more than $20 or $30, I was told their cheapest oil change option was $40. Seriously? Went to have my oil changed here for the first time. They explained to me about their "Signature Service" oil change. When I got home and looked at my receipt it showed, they topped off all fluids, vacuum floors, checked wipers, washed exterior windows, but they did NONE of this. Their Jiffy Lube Signature Service was very fast. They checked all of the systems in the car and did not try very hard to sell me additional services. (The staff there did ask if I wanted synthetic oil, windshield wipers, etc., but I did not feel pressured to accept any of these.) The store also honored a coupon that I found on their website. I was on my way out of town with my family when i noticed the low tire pressure light come on and saw that car was also missing the little plastic tire air valve caps on two of the tires - the guys here were extremely nice and helpful, great customer service, checked out and filled air in our tires, replaced the missing caps and set us on our way in minutes. I have been coming here for years with multiple vehicles. I normally get descent service from them but I will not be coming back anymore due to the lack of trust I have in your work and your low level technicians. They stripped my oil pan a while ago and told me that their way of fixing it was to plug the whole with a larger screw. I disagreed with this method but this was the only thing that they offered me after messing my truck up. I feel the need to go back to them at this point because they are the ones who"Jerry Rigged" my oil pan and they are responsible for it not to leak. I have to remind the "Greeter" every single time I go back to make sure the screw is tight because you guys suck and can't do your job right. Even with my kind reminder each time, they still manage to mess up and think that I'm only in there for a "Top Off". I usually have to wait an hour or so because they have to pull my truck through their bay twice. The staff shows lack of Empathy for their customers, lack of Passion for their job, and you can just tell that everyone hates being there. It's really sad to see someone do a job with lack of pride or passion!!! I no longer trust your establishment or your staff to touch my vehicles anymore! I went here to get my oil changed and I have never had a problem with an auto shop before. I pulled my car up and they changed my oil. Then they told me I needed to change my air filter so I agreed(probs didn't need it). Then, they said they were filling up the coolant in my car for the radiator and it all drained out(in less than 10 min). There was clear liquid that seemed to be poured out on the floor. They said that my radiator was cracked, would need to be fixed, and it would cost between $250-$1,000. I said I didn't want it fixed, watched the engine temperature, and took my car home. I had 3 family members who are experienced with cars check it out and said it was completely fine. It has been over a month and I have had no problems. If you go here and are not experienced in cars, watch out for the scams! read more
