I've been to plenty of oil change places and the experience is always the same. I go in for an oil…read morechange, they tell me I need new brakes, or a fuel induction service, or a fluid change, or something stupid and easy for them to make some easy cash while I get nervous about whether I really need what they're recommending. That just wasn't the case at all at this Jiffy Lube. I went in needing an oil change and I had 3 different light bulbs out in the back of my car, which was odd. They checked the fuse box and saw no issues, so they took the bulbs I already had purchased and tossed them in for a really cheap price. One was giving them trouble (as it had for me as well) and they ended up figuring it out and making it work even though it took them almost 20 mins to do so. They were super happy and cheery, which is almost never the case at an oil change place, and of course had coffee and tea. They vacuumed the floors and gave me legitimate advice about simple services my car needed. I knew for a fact my back brakes were about due before going into it and that's exactly what they mentioned. They weren't pushy, didn't ask for the sale on the spot, just said that there was 1/8th of an inch left or so and simply told me to swing by again and they'd be happy to change them before it got to the rotors. They were exactly right and didn't pitch me on anything else. I still haven't changed my brakes, oh well, but nonetheless, they really provided a great experience and I'll be happy to pay the extra $5-10 or so compared to cheap places to ensure I get a good experience, carpets vacuumed, and genuine advice.

Second, please believe me when I say that these guys are SUPERSTARS! Not only did Jack find me a great deal on tires (one with a rebate!), but he and his sons addressed several issues (ones that I already knew existed) that needed serious attention. To say that they went above and WAAAAAY beyond to make sure my car was fixed that day is so far understated...they even stayed late to fix these issues! There were parts they did not have in stock and Jack sent one of his sons out several times to different locations to pick up parts needed. I mean, the time, effort, and care they gave my car was amazing! Jack apologized a couple of times that it was taking longer than expected, but they were short-staffed - basically, it was just him and one son doing the mechanics, while the other son was running around town to get parts, but what a team. And, the best part, my car...my 15 year old Corolla, ran like new! She had so much pep and ran smoother than she has in years! Thank you Jack and sons! They close at 6 and I asked them if I could come by 4:45? Sure! Their waiting room is nice and clean with a coffee machine and water cooler. So they started working on the car immediately and told me that my car recommendations are synthetic oil, more expensive than regular. I asked them how much? They said $92 and I could change the oil every 5,000 miles instead of 3,000 if I bought the regular. They also said they can use regular oil which would not really make a difference, that's all they had to do was change the viscosity and that would be $52. I decided to go with my car recommendation and chose the $92. After a half hour it was done. Total price $92. That included oil change oil filter change to off all fluids and put air in all 4 tires because the low tire light was on. They said I didn't need to change my air filter because it was fine. Honesty is very important to me and I was impressed they didn't change the air filter when it didn't need to be changed. I think most other places would have. I will be in 5000 miles for sure!!
