When I arrived at Tires Plus, Estefani at the front desk provided exceptional customer service--professional, friendly, and quick to help. Ed immediately took my car into the garage and had me back on the road in under 30 minutes. It's rare to find a team that combines efficiency, skill, and genuine care for customers. POOR SERVICE. I tried getting through for an hour. Apparently their computer/phone system was down, fine.. okay. I get it, things happen. BUT, the issue is that the woman who was "helping" me couldn't tell me what was wrong with my car. I got it towed there because my tire was flat. 1 tire. When I got a call back from her all she said was "you need a new one". Okay.. why? Is there a nail, or something puncturing the tire, can we patch it, what? "uhh welll it's got sidewall issues and it's bald so you need all 4 tires replaced". Okay... so we can't patch it? "uhh we just recommend cause they are all bald to replace them." Train your people better. Safe to say I had my car sent to Mr. Tire down the street because this whole exchange (not even worried about the phone/computer system being down) was AWFUL. ***Scam Alert*** I'd give zero stars if I could. Do not use this business. When I booked an appointment for a road force balance the guy on the phone give me the price for balance but then says extra will surely apply. I told him that will not apply as the vehicle was serviced the week before by places that are way more reportable than Tires Plus. So I get here this morning for balance and sure enough they are telling brakes are bad. This truck has been checked throughly by Land Rover and K & K Automotive. Why would I trust a janky tire place over Land Rover and K & K Automotive? Are your so called techs even ASE certified?Scammers for real. No wonder their rating is below 4 stars. Do not go here for any Automotive service! I called to get corporate number to make a complaint and manager Travis told me to Google it he didn't have it. I Googled and called corporate I was advised each store has a number for corporate to provide when requested by customer. I made a complaint against Travis as he was listening to a personal conversation with my husband about the trick they were trying to pull with the brakes. I certainly hope Travis is not a representative of what they think a good manager is. I went to K&K immediately after leaving this hell hole. My family was on a trip to Frederick and when we went to leave we heard a terrible scarping noise coming from the front driver side wheel. Worst tire service experience of my life. Ordered new wheels and tires from tirerack that were already mounted and balanced. Brought my car in to have them installed. Waited for 2 hours, they give me my paperwork, have me pay, I walk out to my car and all they did was ROTATE MY OLD TIRES. I had to wait another 45 minutes for them to fix this and they NEVER offered any compensation for their incompetence. While I was there, a customer complained that they dropped their car off the day before and it had never been serviced, and they misplaced another customers key. I had just arrived at home and discovered a screw in my tire. I was near panic as I thought I was about to have a flat. I live near Tires Plus so I immediately rushed there. The good people there asked a few questions and then went out to have a look at the tire since I had indicated the screw was near the edge. (I knew it might be impossible to patch) A few minutes later he came back in with a tiny screw in hand and he said it had not punctured the tire and I was good to go. Whew, I dodged a bullet today! I had the expected good experience purchasing two tires for my vehicle. I left for a road trip within a few days. About 1.5 hrs out, all 4 tire pressure lights came on. At my destination, I found the pressure to be normal, but the indicators remained on. When I returned to Maryland, I went back to the shop where they diligently attempted to determine the problem. When they could not, they sent me to the dealer but stated they would stand by their work. Indeed they did! The dealer recalibrated the TPMS, I returned to Tires Plus with the receipt and was reimbursed. Excellent and responsive customer service. read more

I have never had nothing but a positive experience from this tires plus in Frederick since 2018 when I became a customer. The staff, that I have encountered, are knowledge and patient to talk me through the various tires and options. My experience yesterday did not disappoint either. Service on the car appears to be okay, but the staff on the other hand.... I witnessed a staff member speeding around in the parking lot with 2 customer cars. I was baffled the first time wondering if he was testing it or something, but then when he did the same thing with the second car, I realized he was just mishandling the cars. The worst part of bringing my car here was that it literally stunk like butt when I got it back! I am serious...just like a Seinfeld episode! It stunk so badly that I had to febreze my car and change my clothes when I got out of my car. Will never go back to this place because of the staff. Hope management institutes policies about mishandling cars and staff hygiene. read more

Always a great experience here. The manager Justin is fantastic. I've gone for oil changes, new tires, and to have some belts replaced. I never feel like I'm being taken for a ride (pun intended) and am confident that they tell me what is necessary to keep my vehicle ('13 Honda Civic) safe and in good condition to last for the long haul without over charging or finding extra things that "need" to be done. (I note that some of the low-star reviews here complain about experiences with tires: when I got my new ones in December '18 before driving from MD to ME, they reminded me to have the tires and alignment re-checked after driving a certain number of miles, which it seems other reviewers didn't do.) read more

I went to this TiresPlus to get my tires rotated and the free tire inspection because one has a leak. I also asked for the free air pressure check, free battery test and free check engine light test. I was told they were booked, so I made the appt for 5:00 pm a week and a half later. I arrived at 5:00 for the appt and stayed there the whole time. There was one man having work done when I got there. I didn't get to leave until a bit after 8:00 pm! I have road hazard protection. Even though I told the desk rep and the mechanic I had filled all four tires to 32 3 weeks ago and the mechanic wrote that the one tire was at 24, she said she didn't find anything wrong and all the tires were fine. She had only filled them to 29. They argued when I said the correct pressure is 32. I had to go to the car and show them that it states that on the door. So that had to be corrected. I had also said one of my fog lights was out. The desk rep quotes over $50. Then insisted that both lights were out. I had to go back to the car and show them that only one light was out. They were going to overcharge me for something I didn't need. She changed the quote to $25 for the simple bulb replacement. The desk rep was finally checking me out when I saw that the battery hadn't been checked. At first she told me it had been done, but when I pointed out that it wasn't on the sheet she checked with the mechanic. The mechanic had parked my car out front so she took the equipment out to my car. It was now dark out so when it was taking so long I went to look out the door. She came in and handed me 2 little printouts and said the battery needs to be replaced. I had to ask the desk rep to enter this into the record and to add it to a checkout sheet since the little fax paper print out will fade. She finally did it and added a quote of over $150.00. I then notice that the battery result printed showed 6:30 pm as the time it was done. The mechanic didn't do it until 8 pm. I questioned if it was the actual printout for my car. The desk rep said yes, their equipment just doesn't have the correct time settings. With all the other issues, I don't have a lot of confidence in their work or equipment. During the wait 3 more people came in around 6:30 pm to have work done, but didn't stay while being worked on. One returned at 7:30pm and while she was being checked out she thanked the woman at the desk for squeezing her in. I was still waiting to get my work completed. It took so long because they put others ahead of me! To make matters worse, when I finally got in my car I saw black greasy dirt all on my tan colored leather driver's side door, tan leather steering wheel and tan seat cover!!! That was the final straw. I called to provide this feedback. The customer service rep informed me that my complaint would be escalated and someone would be contacting me within a day or two. No one has contacted me yet. read more

Tires Plus is my go to place for all my tire needs and oil changes. When my wife's tires needed to all be changed at once, we searched high and low for the prices around Frederick and in Montgomery County where she worked. Our search ended at Tires Plus. From then on, we have always returned. Although we did compare prices once more when I had to get tires for my car, we still got the same results. Great prices are nice, but customer service and a friendly environment mean almost as much. Unlike most car shops where you feel like sardines packed a can, the "lounge" area is large, with tables and chairs and they always have the tv going in case you forgot a book. I definitely recommend Tires Plus to anyone looking for good prices, friendly customer service, and work done right. read more

My car is scheduled to go in tomorrow, but they get 5 stars right now for customer service! Walmart (across the street) seems to have hosed up my tires and claim it is a brake problem. So, I went in to Tires Plus, and like the other reviewer, dealt with Brad. He is a GEM! He explained what he thinks the problem is, and it aligns with what I thought, but the clowns at Walmart had no clue. Anyway, if their service actually sucks, or if they try to cheat me, I will amend this, but in the meantime - Tires Plus is looking really good! Update: I wish I could give them 6 stars! It turned out that Walmart was wrong (imagine that!) and there was nothing wrong with the brakes.The Walmart tires were the problem. In the meantime imagine the scenario - I came in saying that Walmart told me to get my brakes checked immediately, because they looked weird. What do I know about brakes? So, if Tires Plus was the kind of place to take advantage of people, I was ripe for the picking. They did not - they were honest and reliable. I am so impressed! I woke up this morning with a screw in my tire. A brutal surprise to wake up to, especially on a Sunday with almost every car shop being closed. I went to multiple places first, having to work in Baltimore and being on a very strict and tight work schedule. Other places turned me away, saying I'd have to come back another day. This place was very friendly and worked with me to make sure my car was in and out (after I explained my situation). I'm very thankful for the wonderful service I received today. I have deleted my start to this review and am rewriting it to give Tires Plus a 4. I started out with 3 stars and was writing to discuss why I couldn't give them a higher score. But here we are. First my gripe; when you look on the website and locate the tires you want for car, and you see pricing that you can agree with, of say $75 per tire. Then below that you might see, as I did, a special offer of 'buy 3 get 1 free'. So I went in with an approximate estimated price in mind. But when you are at the counter you are hit with a number much larger, and you ask why, and they explain that the "price" on the website represents the special price.......let me explain. The "regular" price (barely shown) is, say, $100; they take 25% off, which is -$25 per tire, (x4 = $100) to make the new special price of $75 per tire. So if you go in expecting to get 4 tires for $225 you will be disappointed. It makes sense when you think about it, it just feels like they're being slippery. Now for the good. They had the tires I wanted, and took my car into the bay within minutes of my getting there. They did a good job, then checked and reset my low-tire indicator light. John, the district manager, was very helpful. He checked my alignment, then gave me a really great deal on an extra warranty. All in all John and team went overboard to give great customer service. read more

I am a person who uses my car for business traveling that drives on average over 40K miles per year Throughout the years I have had done lots of major and minor repairs to my vehicle. I have been extremely satisfied with the work done at this location . the staff is courteous , and professional and very customer friendly. I didn't want to even give one star but the site wouldn't let me leave it blank. The service at this company is very unprofessional and the staff don't know what they are doing. Every time we have taken our vehicle there, it ends up needing more work. The last time we had a headlight repaired, they put the bulb in crooked and wrong and someone else had to break it to get it out. They act like they never have time to help you either. The last time we had our vehicle there, there was someone who had no idea what they were doing and claimed we were going to need lots of money's worth done on the car. This wasn't the case at all. He shouldn't have even looked at my car. When I called to complain about the last time I was there, the manager was very condescending and treated me like I had no idea what I was talking about. When I called the person above him, he acted shocked and completely disregarded anything I was saying and basically told me I was wrong. If I could rate this a -star, I would! I have been going to Tires Plus for years. Always had good service UNTIL I went to the Frederick, MD location! They nearly ruined my car. Granted, it is a higher-end car (Jaguar to be precise), It's only tires!! All I wanted was for them to fix one tire. Well, they first UPSOLD me 4 new tires because they said "the others were bad!!" So, I bought the tires and on the way home, one of the tires (not the original one I brought the car in for) went flat! Brought it back up there and had to leave it overnight before they could look at it!!! They called and told me the wheel to be "cracked"! How'd that happen!!?? Interesting how I had the car up there for new tires, I drive home and the wheel cracked??? Really!!!?? Also, if it was cracked when they put the tires on, why didn't they see it then? Their solution was, they wanted me to pay for a new wheel. I said, "can't you just fix this one"? The Tech said "oh, yeah, guess we can send it out to be fixed." They tried to upsell again on a new Wheel! (F'ing Idiots!!). So, a week goes by. I finally get my car back. I'm driving car home, the tire sensor light came on. I brought the car back and they had to order a new sensor because they BROKE the original one!! They did replace it at no cost though, so that was the only good thing in this fiasco. Driving home again, sensor light came back on. So, this time I called the one in Gaithersburg, MD. That Tech said he would have to call the Frederick shop to see what the history is... said he'd call me back. I never heard a word from this FREAKEN place again!! BTW... this whole ordeal was over a 3 week period! They lost my business! I've spent more than $10k with them over the years. I will NEVER go back there!! Be cautious if you do business with this place. May be it was just my bad luck but, while I was in there one of the many times I sat waiting on my car, I heard others complaining about different things. My advice to you is DO NOT Allow them to sell you something you don't need. Don't trust them with anything but tires! I don't know who manages this place but they SUCK!!! read more

Stopped by this location to see if they had any openings to have an alignment to be set to specific numbers within the factory specifications. They told be it wouldn't be a problem to have that done, but they did not have any openings until three days later. Which I went ahead and scheduled an appointment for. So fast forward to the day of the appointment... I go in for my appointment with the alignment specs written on a piece of paper like the person who scheduled my appointment said to do so that it could be given to the tech performing the alignment. The person then said that they wouldn't be able to do the alignment today and that I needed to reschedule my appointment, mind you they didn't call me beforehand to let me know. He said that they wouldn't be able to set the alignment to specific numbers anyways either. Even though the person who I scheduled my appointment with said that it wouldn't be a problem at all multiple times. I would give no stars if I could. All they did was waste my time and gas! read more

I had 4 new tires installed on my 2016 Highlander and service adviser sold me on the alignment (my husband told me I should of known better). Left for FL the next day, car was pulling to the left all the way down 95. Stopped at Firestone (sister company) in FL and they indicated the technician never re-calibrated the steering sensors. Firestone stated they reset the sensors however, the vehicle pulled to the left the entire way back from FL which tells me they did nothing at all. I could not tell while around driving around FL at 35-45 MPH however, we immediately noticed as soon as we got on 95 at higher speeds. My husband took back to Tires Plus when we got back to MD. The technician attempted to re-calibrate my sensors, pulled the truck out and when my husband got in the truck the ABS and Traction Control Light is on. They never mentioned anything at the counter about the re-calibration being unsuccessful; we only noticed by the lights on the dashboard. The bottom line is that the service adviser should of never sold me the alignment knowing they do not have the proper equipment to re-calibrate the sensors. They were trying to be greedy by selling additional services and cannot perform the work correctly. Now I have to pay out of pocket to get my vehicle fixed at the dealer. Although the Manager agreed to reimbursement me for the dealer repair costs, if they would of been honest up front this entire situation could of been avoided. read more

Hello, I have been a long time customer of this store and I have to tell you my last experience was more than disappointing. I came in to get 4 new tires. The young lady taking care of me (Stephanie I believe) asked if I wanted an alignment. I then said, "if I need one" knowing that someone that changes tires can look at the wear on a tire and say yes you absolutely need one. She then told me that there is no way to know if the car needs one without putting it on the machine. I then said no. She said "they do a complimentary check" ok great! So when we came back and the car was done, the check sheet had all green checks, I know I need new air filters and I needed washer fluid, so this obviously was not done. The sheet also said that my new tires were filled to 33psi. I told the young lady that my car needs 36psi (as I had been topping my tires for a week now) and she said, "it should be fine" I then told her that my light is very sensitive and with a 3psi difference the light will be on. She told me that the technician should have checked that. And if my light is on she will top them off. I get into my car and yes the light is on. She did come out and top them off, but why not do it right. There is a sticker in the door of every car that tells you what psi the tires should be set at, why would this not be utilized. I was thoroughly disappointed and am very sorry to say I don't think I will be back. read more

I recently moved and am still willing to drive the 45 minutes to this location for service. The techs are always friendly and helpful. Given the industry of car repairs can be expensive and stressful, I like that the office managers/client service specialists will be honest and tell you if you a MUST have some thing done right away or give you a time from as to when you should complete it. (I.e "you're tires are running low on tread, if you can repair today great, but I would definitely get them within 3 months to make sure they are safe" - I really liked that emphasis in safety). This makes me feel like they understand my frustrations with car repairs but that they care enough to know it gets completed. This is also a convenient location in Frederick. I highly recommend for all your repair needs. read more

been to this place four times now. they used to be a 4 star place but today they just ruined it for me. they even had a sign at the front desk where they strive for five. supposedly 5 points to help satisfy customer service. but i didn't even get passed point one today. waited 23 minutes. and thats not waiting while the car was being fixed. thats waiting to even be greeted to know what i was in for. it was this guy in dreads who seemed like a nice guy but somehow didn't know how to prioritize multiple demands to meet maximum customer satisfaction. shame! i don't recommend this place. i suggest u leave the parking lot, make a right and drive to precision auto. they have a way better customer service atmosphere. their wifi over there works too and a coffee machine that actually works. free bottled water and not need to pay from vending machine like this tire plus place. After another place couldn't work us in, we called here and let them know we were traveling with two young kids and a dog. They fit us in immediately, didn't mind the dog coming in the waiting area, and even had a basket of coloring books and activities for the kids. 30 min and $27 later, we were back on the road. DO NOT TRUST THESE GUYS AT ALL! Took my Audi to them for a basic oil change with synthetic oil. Had the oil changed and left but the low oil indicator light kept coming on. took it back. the guy put it on a lift and said that there was nothing wrong with it but there was a transmission leak. finally went out and bought some oil and put it in. light stays off. My mechanic also says the transmission is fine. These guys are supposed to be total car care specialists and they dont even know that my Audi takes 6.3 quarts and not 5. As i have since come to find out they have also sold my parents bad tires. read more

This TiresPlus is a trustworthy auto shop. I've had the following automobiles serviced here: Odyssey, Jetta, CRV, and Civic. Both routine and mechanical type of service were performed. I've yet to be disappointed with their service and follow-through. The place is always packed...perhaps a sign that the shop is recognized in the community as being honest and straight forward. They also offer service coupons through their corporate website. Only complaint is...the longer than average wait time. Reflection of the shop being busy. read more

DO NOT TRUST FOR BRAKES!!! I took my 2012 Nissan Altima in for brakes with their 89.99 special. They told me that my front brakes and rear brakes both needed to be done and also my rotors for front and rear for $600. They reeled off reasons that the rotors can not be machined (lazy and trying to get more money). At the end of the day I went and bought set of rotors all the way around with pads and replaced myself. Come to find out after replacing myself, I still had 20,000 miles left on my front brakes (rotors were absolutely fine). Rear pads lower life than front, but rotors were fine. DO NOT TRUST THEM WHEN THEY SAY YOU NEED YOUR ROTORS REPLACED!!! read more
