Replaced shocks and strutts, rides like a brand new car. From 5 to 1 star, should have cost me under 100 but ended up costing about 600 including the price of the dealership fixing what tireworld failed to do. I paid tacoma to balance the tires and they did the job perfectly. Also paid for an alignment and diagnostic at tire world. Instead of giving my vehicle an alignment they said I would need new tie rods. If that's the case it would be covered under the warranty that I paid for. Tacoma gave it an alignment without new tie rods and gave me pictures of the damage caused by tire world. I'll post them soon. I will not ever bring it back to that establishment or as he said, someone he trusts. Save your money and take your business to someone that will take care of you and not steal your money. read more

Worst place and customer service ever experienced! Stopped in to have a car tire repaired - after the service, wet soft tar got all over the same tire after they had parked the car in their own parking lot. Didn't notice this until I was back home so brought the car back the next day to show them what had happened. Even escorted them out to the parking lot to show them this soft tar in their own parking lot. They tried to make it seem that it had to happen elsewhere, that I was trying to pull something over on them, and would not remedy the situation in the least. Even called the district manager who was rude and blamed me - like I want tar on my tire! read more

Honest good work. I took my 2008 Subaru outback there to do a tire alignment. The previous tires had unusual wear in the front and rear tires. New tires were put on at a different store and some parts of the suspension was repaired to see if that would remedy the issue. The person at tire world handling the job the first time discussed his findings with me, noting the rear camber was way off. He also noted that there did not seem to be any major damage to suspension components and that although the joints were noisy the Suspension moved correctly. He asked if i still wanted the alignment done. I said no, because just setting the front alignment would not beneficial at all. I really appreciated the honesty , showing and discussing the issues the technician found. I also appreciate that he did not proceed with the job knowing that it would not be a complete job. I took it in a week later after replacing suspension components to get the job done. Again they asked why i wanted an alignment done to make sure that an alignment would fix uneven tire wear issues. Although it wasn't the same technician , tire world did a great job of getting the wheel alignment done. read more

I would only suggest Tire World to sell and install tires only. To simply stay in their lane of expertise. I have brought more than one vehicle to them in the last year all having engine issues and Tire World has miss-diagnosed the issue wrong each and every time causing more work to be done and at more cost to me. Eventually I had to just go to another place that has mechanics familiar with engines. I will never have Tire World work on an engine issue again. Tire World just can't do engines and should stay away from working on them. They do have good customer service but the knowledge of engines is just not there. read more

"I don't know what I don't know." I'm just going to report my experience with a side-dish of paranoia. I order 4 tires from tirebuyer.com to be installed at Tire World (Riverbend Way) location. When I made my installation appointment, the receptionist asked me if I wanted a wheel alignment. I declined. On the day of installation, I was again asked if I wanted an alignment, again I said no. While waiting for the installation, I was informed by a TW mechanic that one of my alternator bolts had came loose and that my a battery testing bad. I went into the garage are area and verified that a 3" alternator bolt had infact backed out. Lastly, TW charged me a $25/tire ($100) install when tirebuyer.com indicated that the install fee would be ($80). Upon checkout, I was also informed that tightening the bolt, or as TW calls it, "reinstall alternator," ended up costing me an hour of labor ($100). When I commented on how expensive that was, the receptionist immediately dropped $45.00 off the bill. I routinely check under the hood of my car and never noticed an alternator bolt that "backed out." Additionally, the battery that tested bad, appears strong and starts my car with authority. I've owned many cars and have an idea of how a weak battery performs and when one is starting to fail. My battery still appears robust. My conclusion is this: I don't know what I don't know--just the certainty of knowing--that I was overcharged by $20. The burden apparently is on me to catch this error. read more

I haven't lefts reviews on Yelp in a long time because I actually used to work for Yelp and couldn't leave reviews because it was a conflict of interest, but now is a good time to start again. I admit I was hesitant to trying Tire World at Riverside based on reviews I had read. I was even kind of put off but the first phone call I made there to a lady that didn't seem super informed about availability or pricing. However, my experience has been nothing short of great. I have had wheel bearings replaced, new tires on two occasions, and two separate alignments. I think that's enough to give a fair assessment. I've worked with Rich, Ben, and Andrew over these visits and all have been very helpful. The prices have been pretty fair or much better in some cases than other choices I've looked into. I definitely recommend and plan on continuing to bring my cars there. read more

I was looking for some place that just specializes in tires, so I seen tire world and thought ok great. Made my appointment. Wasn't worried because you know, the name "tire world" they most likely deal only with tires. Well when I get there I see on the building like 15 other things they "specialize" in. Not to mention they sell used cars, major warning sign to just leave... I sit in my truck thinking if I should go thru w/ this, well I did. I go in and I'm met by the typical, straight from the mold of a used car salesman, arrogant, I'm the greatest, I know everything, counter guy. Another major warning sign to just leave, But I didn't! I know... So we go thru what I want, etc. Just want 4 tires removed and 4 tires installed, ok np. I go sit down and no more then 5 mins he comes and tries to sell me more expensive tires, uh, here we go. Another major sign to just leave, but I didn't! I get thru that and it wasn't 5 mins later he comes back and tells me I have a bad battery! Lol, said it works but its really weak. I just bought that battery back in the winter, what are you talking about? Why are you checking my battery? Just leave it alone. Now I'm really worried, so I look back in the bay area at my truck and they have the hood open looking around my engine area! Wtf are they doing? Why is my hood even open?! I JUST WANT TIRES! So I went back to the waiting area and tried to sit where I could see my truck, lol. Almost 2hrs like that. Brutal! Sometime during my wait he came and told me my tie rod end was bad and that he would only charge me $150 to change it, lol. I've worked on vehicles and motorcycles all my life so I do know my way around a little, and that's around a $15 part and takes about 10 min to change it out. (2 nuts and sometimes they freeze up and need a little heat) My trucks already on the rack w/tires off but he want $150! Haha, no thanks. Anyways that was my experience. Its a shame you have to worry about people/places like that but you do. I'm hoping they didn't sabotage anything. So much for my free tire rotations. They tried to get one over on me today and quoted me $1000 for 4 new tires that only cost $90 a piece. The guy at the register tried to tell me that my front tires were a different brand (more expensive) than they actually are. Obviously I'm not stupid, the name and model of tire is written on the side of the tire! I honestly believe they quoted based on what they thought I could afford. I'm new to the great town of Frederick and when you are new to an area you tend to not trust a lot of people. One of the main people you don't trust is a mechanic. You don't know if they are out to run your bill up with bogus repairs or if they care about your well being when you drive off the lot. At Tire World they car. I went in for a simple tune up and was shocked to see that the threads popping out the side f one of my tires when they placed it on the lift. Now I know a good tire can run you a hundred bucks and after the Christmas holidays no parent is wanting to spend a lot of money on nothing for a while..lol. I think Jessica saw the worry in my eyes when the mechanic said he don't want me driving out of the store on the tire o and also I needed an oil change and wasn't aware. So Jess said let's see when we can do for you because I need you to feel safe when you leave my lot. That made me feel good as a person. Empathy and compassion goes a long way in the retail world. So after finding a good new tire for me, setting up my (synthetic)oil change o and my tune up, I took a set to wait for my car. During my wait I witnessed Jess showing that same care and compassion with EVER customer that came through the door. Look, NOBODY want to be treated like sheep and defiantly not at a retail establishment. So when you find a place that cares about you as much as I felt today you get more then a few dollars for service...YOU GET A LOYAL CUSTOMER. The customer service received by the shop was awful. The representatives were rude, condescending and seemed as if they cared more about repeatedly arguing their point rather than to do what they initially promised. Our car needed a new tire, so we took the car in spoke to a seemingly friendly, knowledgeable person that suggested a tire to purchase and also suggested that the tires be rotated from each side so that in the end the car had similar tires in the front and back. After agreeing with the quote and suggestion to add a new different tire without messing up the look of the car we scheduled an appointment to come in the next morning. The rep indicated he'd make notes to the file to avoid confusion. The car was dropped off as scheduled and a brief discussion was held about rotating the left and right tires and pointed out of the tire diagram. Upon completion the car was picked up and paid but the tires were not rotated as discussed. Immediately we brought it to the attention of the lady at the front desk, who appeared to have no interest in helping or looking at the car to understand the problem. She rudely asked another sales person to get involved. The man went outside looked at the car and his exact words were it isn't a big deal, it is like wearing 2 different shoes. If we wanted to move the tires for symmetry it would cost $25 and we'd have to wait to get the car in the line to be looked at. After lengthy conversations with this rep with him repeating the same thing and talking down to us, in the end he asked if I was looking for them to do work for free. My complaint isn't about the $25. It is about the unwillingness to assist, to listen, to honor what was initially discussed with the person that is now on vacation and to treat us with dignity. Thanks but no thanks for for finally agreeing to allow us to wait up to 4 more hours for your so called charity work. We'll happily take our business elsewhere. read more

The oil change was timely and staff was polite but they charged me 25.00 to put two screws on my license plate - a five minute job at most! What a rip off! Tire World fixed it the right way, which is what the car dealer should have done from the beginning. But have to say the customer service I received was great here. They communicated what they found wrong with the car and what needed to be done to repair it and about how long it would take. First impression I believe mean alot. But also follows behind means alot two. The two ladies at the front counter that I dealt with were great. I think Jessica was one and I can't remember who the other lady was. I wish that I could put no stars. That's how awful this place is. The Tire World on Rt. 26 in Frederick is one of my most incompetent that I have EVER seen. They not only have lost our lug lock & never replaced it, they have tried charging us for rotated tiers when we have chalked the tires and know that they were never rotated and then yesterday my husband and I were driving with our infant son in the car and heard a very strange noise. We pulled over and found that 4 out of the 5 lugs were backing themselves off. We may have had 30 miles more before the entire tire would have come off and possibly flipped the car and endangering all three of us. I really want to file a suit on this place for sheer negligence. So apparently we have driven the car on a trip to Illinois with lugs that were never property secured. I would never recommend this place to anybody and plan on filing a claim with the BBB and so forth to make them aware that this place is negligent, careless, has no work ethic or any regard to human life & it's safety. read more

Do not buy tires from them...We had 4 tires blow in less then 5k miles and they said "You get what you pay for"! I did not ask for a safety issue and I bought the tires recommended by their services manager. We were also told that we had Nationwide Road Hazard insurance; unfortunately, we were told by the road hazard company that they should never have sold those tires with a Road Hazard Warranty because they are not covered on an RV. They hesitated in calling us back and did not advocate for us or offer reimbursement for tires!!!! read more

The short wait in the clean and comfortable waiting room with complementary beverages and snacks as well as free wi-fi wasn't bad at all. Had the misfortune of not one but two flat tires on the same day. I guess the pothole that took out the first tire subtly damaged the other one on the same side such that it too failed several hundred miles down the highway. One flat tire I can deal with. The second one required a tow. My luck turned when I found that TW had one tire in stock in my peculiar size, Z-rated even. (Other tires could have been shuttled in, same day.) It's a brand I'd never heard of before, but Amazon reviews indicate it's a solid bang for the buck. Hard rubber, but wears well. TW's price wasn't too much higher than what Amazon was asking for it either. TW managed to squeeze me in at 4pm just a few hours before close. Less than an hour later, I was back on the road. I was so off-balance from having to deal with two flats on the same day, that I left behind a bag with a few valuables in it.
