This place was awesome. I love restaurants that have the built in cases full of awesome drinks, etc. the meatball sandwiches was amazing. Though the baguette got hard while I was cutting up the ginormous cheese sticks and French toast for my littles. So a softer hoagie would be better. The flavor was incredible. Hubby wasn't impressed with his breakfast burrito...said it resembled the ones I make and freeze at home. Not a bad thing, it just didn't seem fresh in his opinion. My only issue with this restaurant is the way they take to-go orders. You have to wait on a very long line of people dining in the restaurant and the food takes a long time. The green eggs dish was really something to drive out of the way for. They crushed this dish and this dish alone made me want to hop on here and review the restaurant. I thought this place had potential. It has a nice concept of local foods, casual environment. The feel of the restaurant is nice. You order at the counter and are brought out the food later. Service was nice, with helpful staff working in the front. My major complaints come from the food itself. We came for dinner and I ordered the honey pie (pizza) and my boyfriend got the pasta special. Apparently they make their pasta fresh and make their own breads. Sounds nice, right? The pizza was just ok. It didn't have enough ingredients on it to my liking. It had very little cheese, sauce, jalapenos, sausage. His pasta was just very bland. The menu made it sound so flavorful but in reality it just wasn't. Prices were kind of high for what you get but if the food was worth it, that wouldn't have been a problem. There's actually a very similar restaurant to this in port gamble, Washington that I reviewed and loved so this was merely disappointing. This place was across the street from where we rented a vacation home for a few days and were we ever happy it was so close when we got into town and were hungry. Service was friendly, they had yummy baked goods laying out, and a nice selection of craft beer, sodas, and even groceries (milk etc.) that was handy to have. Food was really good - my husband and I split the steak sandwich, and the mahi mahi sandwich. Both were great...steak was tender, mahi mahi was really good along with the slaw. The salads they came with were fresh and tasty. I also added on the pasta salad which was good. We also popped in for coffee, mochas and tea during our stay and had the same great service. I also grabbed two of the freshly made doughnuts. In talking to the staff they are freshly baked in-house and the guy who makes them also works there at night. The Butterfinger topped doughnut was yummy. We got a white icing one with pistachios as well - quite rich so we all prefered the butterfinger one. The day we left we visited again and had breakfast. My husband had the breakfast burrito and it was fantastic (in fact I wished I ordered that myself!). I had the breakfast sandwich. It was pretty basic for a breakfast sandwich but good. Overall, great place. Cute decor, everything is fresh and tasty. Not too busy, and lots of outdoor seating. read more

We were pleasantly surprised by how unique this restaurant is. They have everything! And it's all beautifully handcrafted. You get what you pay for here at Jackson's Corner. I don't know where to start in regard to how good Jackson's Corner is. My group came for dinner and had an awesome experience. The staff was unbelievably kind and even warned us several times that there would be a wait to get the food before we ordered, as it was really busy at the time. The food was nothing short of perfect. The salad, although simple, was amazing and had the perfect herbs, toppings, and dressing. The pizza was phenomenal and was perfect on the brisk dusk night. The specials were amazing and fresh (as some places have a fixed, never changing, menu). And the setup of the order at the counter, sit down, and have the food brought to you is efficient and just great. Ate two consecutive meals at Jackson's, dinner and breakfast. Both were amazing! Very cool setting in a residential area. Street parking only but no problem either time. Great local corner coffee/food place. While staying in Bend we were fortunate to be so close to Jacksons. The Turkey sandwich was solid, good bread with avocado and overall delicious. This review is for the East side Jacksons! What the heck!! Incredibly inefficient front counter...lines out the door around lunchtime which are funneled through a single clerk!! Really a pain if the customers in front of you want to ask questions or want to sample a taste of something before ordering. When asked if this slow service is normal, we were informed they want to maintain a single clerk for training purposes. That's way too much fun for a customer waiting and waiting in line and then experiencing more of same while a new hire slogs through learning the menu and the cash register!! Ordered the pork pozole soup on my 4th and final time here....shame on you Jacksons!!...it was watery, lukewarm, quite spiced ( even though I was told it was not) and had a precious few thin strands of pork and not much else in the soup. My friend got bread with hers but I did not....when I asked for bread I got a suspicious look, and when I asked for some butter....a more hostile look! I love the Westside Jacksons so it is such a disappointment going to the Eastside. Also extremely loud ( no acoustics to soften) and I almost tripped over a miniature bundt pan walking to my seat as the kiddie section had small toys scattered all about in the walking areas...no kids were in sight. This casual restaurant doesn't live up to its appearance. It's bright and airy with lots of windows and a high ceiling. We were there on a Saturday afternoon after the lunch crowd was gone. Nevertheless, service was slow. My blue cheese spinach salad was small but good. My wife's Caesar Salad with steak featured barely cooked meat which could only partially be eaten. Next time we'll look elsewhere in this town that has lots of other choices. read more

I ordered the green eggs with Pesto and shredded grana and toast. Both delicious. The potatoes that came with it were severely under cooked and inconsistent. They brought me 3 different plates of potatoes. I picked out the cooked ones. They make the home fries out of russet potatoes so that might be part of the problem and then the inconsistent shape and size lead to them not being great. Hopefully, that was just one bad day of potatoes. It made for a disappointing meal for me. I love potatoes but no amount of ketchup or hot sauce could fix them. I watch a lot of Chopped and all I could hear running through my head was Chris Santos complaining about inconsistently cooked potatoes. My husband got the Cristo, but order only if you want to roll out of the place afterwards. It is very heavy. Egg on top was cooked well. He loved it. I requested their spiked lemonade but the supplies were out. The counter gal was delightful and another gal worked at arranging for a table for us so we weren't fighting for one. Found this just a few blocks from our Air BnB and based on the Yelp reviews it was the obvious choice. Between myself, wife, 5 kids, and parents, we sampled a bit of everything. Absolutely no complaints! It was busy so there was a wait after ordering, but between the Etch-A-Sketches and people watching it was an easy wait. The pizza dough is good, nice and thin crust, the kids liked watching the cooks actually flip the dough too. Sandwiches were packed, burger patties were thick, and it all tasted fresh! My wife ordered a chicken salad and they forgot the chicken when they first dropped it off. Instantly fixed the problem, brought out a new salad with fresh chicken and a sincere apology from staff.
