Our waiter clearly had a problem with us and couldn't wait to get off. Staff was mean mugging us from inside. We got bottomless and our waiter only came back a handful of times. Our squad brunches all through DC and this place was mid. Food was okay. Fries were good though. At least the place is beautiful, and table setup was gorgeous. read more

We had a wonderful drink and appetizer. The owner Eiia was a great host, as was the bartender Daniel. We couldn't have had a better time.

This place prioritizes white people when it's last call in the guise of fairness but will straight up serve white peoples multiple drinks while you (as a person of color) are told they will not serve you anything. Now I am lawyer I understand the law when you cannot legally serve, but this was 10PM ... and the bartender was unprofessional and distasteful. Beware! read more

Our server is the sweetest young lady, none of this review is her fault... we were sat at 5:35, and order apps at 5:40(we have pic time stamps) we didn't not receive any app until 6:25 and that was only one. We were served dinner at 7:04. Again our server was the sweetest and very apologetic, but this is unacceptable. Right by nats stadium. It's a perfect location for a good dinner before a concert or game, beautiful restaurant. I hope it was was just busy night, because this place could be sooo good, but tonight just wasn't it :( read more

Would highly recommend for brunch and Lily was absolutely AMAZING!! Will definitely be coming back.

The food was absolutely delicious. Great cocktails, a funky vibe and friendly service. Can't wait to go back.

amazing vibes. lily was our server and was so patient with our brunch party and accommodations. Will definitely be coming back

Food arrived two hours late. Tables next to us ordered their food 30 min to an hour after and received their food before us. Ordered the fried chicken sandwich with the chicken being hard, in which we had to spit out. You'll find much better food and drinks elsewhere. read more

The staff was really nice and friendly, but the food was not good at all. The margaritas tastes just like ice water and a lot of the items on the menu were not available. Overall the food was average and way too expensive, but at least the service was good. read more

Cute restaurant and nice location, brunch not worth it. My friend ordered the avocado toast and it came out on what looked like regular sliced white bread- not what you're looking for when spending $15 on avocado toast. Bloody Marys were watery. Stuffed French toast barely had any cream cheese or mango like it claimed it had. Overall pretty disappointing. read more

Overall, we enjoyed our experience but they are in between menus post-renovation which made ordering VERY confusing. The staff wasn't very knowledgeable on the menu changes and some items printed on the menu were no longer available. read more

Atmosphere, service, food was over the top! We had amazing service from Annalise, who was very tentative to making sure our drinks never went below halfway to checking in while we indulged ourselves with exquisite buffet. read more

Today my friend and I visited Jackie's during my trip home for the summer. This restaurant definitely exceeded my expectations. The ambiance, food, and service was excellent! Originally, we were seated inside with Hannah, but decided we wanted to try out door seating. Hannah was so gracious and still checked on us to ensure we had a great dining experience. Outside we were served by Lily who was amazing! She was knowledgeable about the menu and made sure that we had an amazing time reconnecting. The American breakfast was 10/10 - shout out to the chef. I'll be back soon. This is my new favorite brunch spot thanks to great service and good quality! read more

I came today with my friend and I had the BEST time! We were originally sitting with Hannah who was super nice and friendly, but then decided to sit outside where we had Lily. Lily is truly one of the best servers I've ever had. The chef and manager came and checked on us which was very nice, and the food was amazing. I had the Jackie Burger and it was delicious. We got the bottle of Cava which was under the brunch option, and it was well worth the money. I will 100% be back. If you go, I highly recommend you ask for Lily or Hannah! read more

Very good food. Excellent ambience in a popular neighborhood (Navy Yard) in Washington, D.C. Fantastic staff makes everyone feel comfortable. Waiter Zach could not have been more friendly and knowledgeable. Speaking of knowledgeable, you're not likely to find a better bartender (and I'm a drinker) in town than Daniel Rendevos. His creations match his wonderfully friendly and welcoming demeanor. Ask him what you like and he'll develop something on the spot. He also makes a great Manhattan (my drink!). read more

Seevice was good and he helped with our questions on the food.Ambience was nice. Food was not what was listed in the website. I picked this restaurant because it had items on the menu that my grandkids would eat. Also, 1 cheese biscuit for $6.00????? Never again. read more

Wanted to like this place, but was pretty underwhelmed. Friends and I were in the area to catch a DC United match, so we happened upon Jackie while looking for a place to eat beforehand. Props for getting the 3 of us an outdoor seat in no-time (even on a Saturday evening), and our waitress was fantastic. Alas, that's where the positive experience ends. I ordered the Baked Chicken entree, and was shocked to see a whole (butterflied) bird the size of a pigeon. Seriously, for $32 dollars I was expecting a bit more....even paying a premium based on location. My one friend ordered the Berkshire Pork Chop, but gave up half way through as it was horribly chewy and overdone. My other friend order the Jackie Burger, and was likewise unimpressed. Have to give the manager credit for both apologizing for the food quality and removing the pork chop from our bill. Maybe it was just an off night for the kitchen staff, but it's pretty disappointing when my friend had to grab a hot dog and fries at the game to make up for a lackluster dining experience. read more

One star as a restaurant. Five stars as a place to sit around for an hour while you slowly come to the realization that you're going to have to get dinner elsewhere. read more

100% satisfied! I took my wife and kids to Jackie for Mother's Day brunch and it nailed all of our expectations. The food was amazing. Between us all we had the Croquet sandwich (perfect with the fried egg on top), stuffed French toast (that thing was THICK!), a waffle and Traditional breakfasts with eggs, tots, bacon and toast. You can't go wrong with any of these choices. The beer list is long... about 30-40 choices with a lot that you don't find too often. The only thing I wouldn't recommend is the cheese grits; they're ground too coarse, more than I would think possible. The service was great, food came out quickly. The bathrooms were really, really clean to top it all off. Definitely recommend! read more

Was out walking the neighborhood with a friend and stopped in here and met Meti. She was awesome at the bar and drinks were awesome. All staff were very friendly and helpful. Beautiful location and views. read more

I almost don't want to give 5 stars so that this neighborhood place stays accessible! But it deserves it. Went the Friday of Labor Day weekend for the first time. Patio seating is very well spaced with barriers between the tables. Ordering via the app is easiest but the staff were super helpful, friendly and available throughout our meal. We did the Labor Day BBQ prixe fixe and the food was amazing. Every element was fresh and well thought out. The Camelot-themed cocktail menu was also awesome - we tried the Pink Chanel (spritz-like, a little sweet with rock candy but a fun first drink) and the Pan Am and I'll be going back for both. All in all a welcome addition to the Navy Yard neighborhood - can't wait to go back with some girlfriends for some Jackie O Instagram moments, great cocktails and delicious food! read more

Went in for brunch last weekend and it was fantastic! The service was attentive and the atmosphere was equally inviting. I ordered the steak eggs and it was so delicious. My fiancé ordered the pastrami on rye and it was also excellent. Can't wait to go back. read more

Tried this place by accident because our original place was full. Loved it!! The cocktails were really good and our server Marlon was AWESOME! He made excellent recommendations. Great experience. read more

Confused with the high ratings. Very high prices for very mediocre food. Would not recommend.

Even though they called to confirm our group we still had issues when arriving/getting seated. the decor/ambiance is nice but the food was very unimpressive for the price. My toast was so hard I could barely cut through or chew it. On the menu the traditional said it came with sunny side up but all 4 were delivered with scrambled and the 'hash browns' were literally just tater tots. The juice for the mimosas came in the small glasses and the waitress did not refill and was not attentive to our group and it didn't seem that busy/crowded. More than half the menu is alcohol so maybe they are just more focused on being a bar read more

Wow, Jackie - American Bistro was truly brilliant. The atmosphere, the service, the menu. Every thing I've tried up until now is solid. Every one was very welcoming. So good. read more

Turned us away because they are short staffed. Not telling us it would be a longer wait, flat out turned us away.

The food and drinks were great. Ther server name "J" was incredible as she served my entire party without missing a beat. Great Service Ms. J. read more

UNBELIEVABLE food!!! SCALLOP CRUDO was light and refreshing. Duck meat balls were unreal! Staff was incredibly kind and helpful. The patio atmosphere was excellent. The restrooms are very nice. Excellent experience! read more

Great place to visit before a ball game. Cocktails and apps were just right, and our server was very attentive.

I took my parents for my Dad's birthday. First of all, our server (Hannah) was fantastic. She was so kind to us on top of just being darn good at her job. I submitted a seating request with my reservation that the restaurant accommodated (I never know if restaurants actually read those notes, so I was impressed they had both read it and made it happen). The space is well decorated with great ambiance. And, the food is great! All three of us are vegetarian and those options were delicious. Thank you Jackie for such a wonderful birthday dinner for my dad!! read more

this is definitely the worst dining experience I've had since moving to DC. the experience was unprofessional and disappointing from start to finish. It took 35 minutes for someone to take our order. Our water didn't get refilled the whole night. Between 4 people, we had the grilled corn salad, summer salad, tuna tartine, caesar salad, and chicken ragu -- every dish was mediocre (at best) and tragically overpriced. Our waiter brought our bottle of wine after our food was served, placed it in an ice bucket next to our table, and left without saying anything. Several minutes later, someone brought us wine glasses to the table. The waiter came back and poured a glass of wine for each of us, and instead of putting the bottle back in the ice bucket, said "who wants more?" and proceeded to empty the bottle into my friends cup, leaving us all with uneven glasses filled with way too much wine (completely defeated the purpose of the ice bucket). Nobody asked us if we wanted dessert and it took another 10 min to get the check at all. For a $50+ meal per person, the food/wine was mediocre at best, extremely overpriced, and the service was abysmal. It was a very upsetting experience all around. read more

I see the reviews on food and drinks are generally positive, but ours wasn't. The drinks were "ok"- I might give them 3 stars. The cornbread was decent- my wife didn't eat it because it was a little dry. The strip steak was very chewy and just didn't have much flavor. I know what strip steak is, but it just wasn't good. The Smores dessert was primarily some type of graham cracker cake with chocolate mixed in parts of it and some marshmallows. Like all of the food, it looked good, but the taste was just never there. Service wasn't the best- you order with the phone and they bring your food to you. Some of it came pretty quick. The appetizer came before our drinks. Our dessert took 30 minutes. My wife asked for extra cherries with her old fashioned and got 2. She asked for more, and didn't get any. She asked again, and got a few more about 5 minutes later. The place is nice, the outdoor seating is great, but we just weren't impressed with the food. read more

This restaurant has a pleasant ambiance and great happy hour specials. When I went during happy hour, I opted for the tamarind chicken fingers. Loved them! I've had them before but never with this special spicy sauce that Dani, my server, recommended because I informed her that I have an affinity for spicy food. The spicy sauce that Dani added as an option was perfect for this dish! Dani is amazing and innovative! I recommend that Jackie bistro provide the original dipping sauce and the spicy sauce with the chicken fingers. Thanks, Dani! I will definitely be back. read more

The cocktails were fantastic, the food excellent, and the service wonderful! Dani was an excellent waitress-attentive, detail oriented, timely, and fun to talk to! Great restaurant :) read more

While the customer service is good, Jackie leaves much to be desired. They use a web app to order, which doesn't always have all the food items loaded, so this makes the dining experience cumbersome and slow. The prices are outrageous with most cocktails priced at 14 dollars or more for heavily iced drinks. The food, also over priced, comes in petite tasting sizes. The outdoor seating would be nice if the view was better than a crowded beer garden and fenced off waterfront. All things considered Bar Jackie O seems to be a Jackie No. read more

Check out reviews before you waste your money. Terrible management - they make you wait for a table for 30 minutes when they had 10 available tables outside. The guy who looked like a manager tells me to stay 6 fr away from people when I was trying to show my infant baby a dog well 6 ft away from everybody- when the host stand isn't even 6 ft away from tables! Just a nice place - very badly run. read more

Horrible service. Sat inside, with one other able at 6 pm on a Saturday. We asked to move out doors to not feel so secluded. We were moved, however outdoors to another secluded area. We asked to move again to a cluster of vacant tables out front. While being told yes by one party another told us no. While half of us sat the other stood in confusion of what to do next because of the lack of care from staff. After being sat and establishing we were in an area that was being serviced we waited ten minutes with no greet no service and host stand full of employees/managers staring at us "figuring it out" but never making it a point to come over to the table and getting an order. When leaving I asked who our server even was and was told they were still trying to figure that out. This place wants to be a prom reception hall/beer garden/tavern with absolute trash service. Save your time and reservation. 0/10 on service. From one server to another.. just take the table. read more

The food was great but what really stood out was the drink selection. Our friendly bartender Tucker (the one with the mustache haha) gave us great recommendations and was so skilled. my mojito was scrumptious and my friend got a new york sour that was the best she's ever had. everyone should check this place out next time they're in navy yard. felt very fancy inside too! read more

It was a fine restaurant with some atmosphere, but my group was upset by the end of the meal. When we paid, we paid with a card reader at our table which just said the amount and then asked for what amount we wanted to tip. Neither the waiter or card reader mentioned that there was already a 15% tip that was included in the original amount, so it seems we were set up to double tip. read more
