    Grilled Calamari

Here's a polished version that maintains your honest assessment while keeping the tone balanced and positive: I wasn't quite wowed by Cordelia's Seafood Bar. As a big fan of the Clyde's Restaurant Group, I had high expectations, but unfortunately, the food didn't quite deliver for me this time. That said, the service was outstanding, and the atmosphere was excellent. The restaurant has a warm, inviting vibe that works well for date night, dinner with friends, or even a business meal. Our group sampled a variety of dishes across the menu, including grilled calamari, grilled oysters, cheeseburgers, grilled double pork chops, and squid ink pasta. While the food wasn't a standout for me personally, the overall dining experience was enjoyable thanks to the attentive service and beautiful setting. I'd still encourage others to give it a try and form their own opinion, the experience itself was definitely worth it. #HappyEating

Cordelia Fishbar is one of my favorite after work spots. Super welcoming yet chill vibes, beautiful decor, impeccable service and stellar food. Its menu is seafood focused but there really is something for everyone. I've visited for brunch and HHs and enjoyed each visit. Personal favorites: The coal roasted oysters, miso butter in particular, are fantastic. I literally dream about them LOL. The grilled calamari is smoky yet vinegary and vibrant. The beet and burrata salad has a great texture as a compliment to the grilled dishes. For brunch, I have enjoyed the Chesapeake Benedict and the mushroom frittata. Overall, the seafood is so fresh and high quality. Portions are great for sharing yet not super sized and it is so delicious that you won't bring anything home. If you are budget conscious and enjoy oysters, the half price raw oysters plus a few appetizers will be a great way to enjoy Cordelia Fishbar. Cocktails: a creative menu and beautiful glassware. The mocktail menu is not as large as I hoped but the flavor offerings are not too sugary. Highly recommend adding this to your brunch and HH spots and enjoy!

Our server was so kind and went above and beyond to show us a great time. She had great recommendations for the calamari and oysters. Cordelia might be my favorite of Clyde's Restaurant Group. Definitely recommend trying the "Special K" at the bar this summer

Stopped here for drinks because the place across the street wasn't open yet. Happy we came because we ended up dining in and was well worth it. Family enjoyed the oysters. I tried the calamari, first time having too, and I was shocked with how well it was. I had a large meal the day before so I munched on a salad for dinner which hit the spot. I ended up finishing my grandmothers burger which was also delicious. I forgot what the dessert was called but everyone shared it and enjoyed it.

Great Friday Night Vibe! && they have Happy Hour after 9 on a Friday ! Beautiful bar area with a steady crowd Marlon provided exemplary service from the time the hostess set me at his table until we walked out the door! Thank you!! Appetizers Chicken Chermoula: 5/5 large shareable portion, perfect spice and flavor with the spiced yogurt. Crispy skin! Honeycrisp Apple & Celery Salad: 4/5 fresh, nice crunch, and slight tanginess! Rhode Island Calamari: my friend had this dish and enjoyed. It grilled and not fried. Entrees Whole Grilled Branzino: 4/5 crispy skin, perfectly flaky fish. The fish itself does not have much seasoning flavor, but the bed of capers and a squeeze of lemons is good. Double cut Lamb Chops: again, my friend's order but I tasted and it was perfectly cooked, tender, and flavorful! 51st Century Cocktail and Cry My Eyes Out Cocktail both tequila 5/5! Union Market do if unfamiliar, there is limited parking.

One of my favorite restaurants in Union Market. The service is always top tier, and the ambience strikes the perfect balance between elevated and chill. Here's how I rank my favorite items on the menu: Calamari - 10 out of 10. You have to try it. Cajun Butter Oysters - 10 out of 10. Absolutely delicious. Miso Butter Oysters - 10 out of 10. Another must order. Crab Cake Sandwich - 7 out of 10. Good, but not the reason to come here. Linguine Frutti di Mare - 20 out of 10. My favorite item on the menu. It is so good that we ordered an extra one just to take home. This place never disappoints. Definitely a go to spot for consistently great food and service.

We had a lovely lunch here today. I had the fried oyster poboy. It was delicious, crispy & flavorful. It came with French fries, which also were very good. Another big plus is the ambience. The restaurant is very classy, & I also liked the open feel with lots of open space.

Cordelia's is a part of the Clyde's restaurant group. It is located on the corner at Morse Street. We went for an early dinner. There was a nice crowd at happy hour that ends at 6pm. The dining room is nicely appointed with spacious tables and booths that line the windows facing Morse street. The staff is attentive without hovering to much. We ordered really good apps and food. We started with the grilled squid, Brussels sprouts. The entrees the crabcake with, fries, and coleslaw, roast chicken, I believe a fish sandwich with fries, and drinks. Food was excellent. I would definitely return for an early dinner or happy hour.

Walking back into this restaurant feels a little like returning to someone you once cared for, familiar in all the right ways, comforting in the ways you hoped it would be, and quietly asking why didn't you come back sooner. Loyalty isn't built overnight, and neither is trust but this spot has a way of reminding you why you fell for it in the first place. The staff greets you with the kind of recognition that feels personal, the food arrives like a promise they intend to keep, and the atmosphere settles around you like a soft exhale. I reviewed this place after one visit and I'm now starting to believe that second chances are needed before I review. Like any relationship worth keeping, I gave it a second chance on Saturday, the last day in February. Lawd have mercy! I'm glad I did. The food is consistent, the top notch service hasn't changed, and the whole experience feels like a place that's genuinely trying, really trying, to be the it spot in Union Market. Love isn't about perfection; it's about showing up for each other, again and again. It's about Choosing! This restaurant has earned my loyalty not by being flawless, but by being committed. And in return, I find myself committed too. I'll be coming back with an open heart, hungry and an empty stomach, ready for whatever the next chapter tastes like. Yells, Cordelia Fishbar, love is a choice and I choose you! I am not sure if they redid the menu but I hope they never get rid of the Lobster dish, the crab cake or the coal roasted oysters! My goodness! Let's get into it! Coal Roasted Oysters - Yassssssssssssssssssssss! Great just like the first time. Honestly these might be my favorite in the DMV! Lump Crab Cake - Delicious and those fries!!!!! OMG! Lobster Spaghettini - Presentation Perfect! Flavors Perfect! So freaking good! The best! This is going to have to be a twice monthly spot to eat at. Ok....I'm in love! Literally!

    Gilded Sea Seafood Tower

When it comes to Happy Hour specials, Washington, DC is not short on them! Cordelia Fishbar is my favorite "upscale-esque" place to do happy hour! From Tuesday-Friday 4pm-6pm and Tuesday-Sunday 9pm-Close (two waves of Happy Hour, depending on the day), you can enjoy 50% off oysters & seafood towers!! If you love seafood, you'll know that seafood towers aren't exactly cheap! Especially ones that include crab and/or lobster! I ordered the Gilded Sea (normally $175, or $87.50 during Happy Hour), and the tower is massive! You get 24 oysters, 12 jumbo shrimp, chilled lobster, and jumbo lump crab dijonnaise. You can easily share this with one, two, or three other people. Or if you're a big back like me, skip all meals that day and eat this! I recommend eating the shrimp first, as they get soggy the longer they sit. But still tasty! The oysters were great and u enjoyed thag they offered varsity of all the oysters you see on the menu. The crab cocktail was crackers was immaculate, while the chilled lobster was an incredible way to end the meal. I sat at the bar too and the service was great! The employees were attentive and kind and always asked if I needed extra lemons or Tabasco hot sauce for my tower!

SHRIMP & GRITS: stone-ground corn grits, applewood bacon, worcestershire butter sauce, scallions

Scheduled Mother's Day brunch with a bestie and we were immediately greeted upon entrance. The restaurant is beautiful, rustic, in the most complimentary way. Our waiter, Bennett, was excellent. I went between three and four stars. Three won. The food was just blah, to me. We ordered coal roasted oysters and I did appreciate that I could sample all three flavors, with an up-charge :(, miso butter was the best, jumbo lump crab gratin, not memorable, and shrimp and grits, lovely texture to the grits, shrimp were ok. We hadn't seen each other in a while and I appreciate not being rushed while we caught up. I'm not sure I would return.

The ambiance in Cordelia is wonderful! You feel like you are in a very elevated sea themed restaurant and the bar is large and gorgeous. We shared some crab dip which was extremely generous in portions of crab and very hot and tasty. I had the rockfish and loved how light it was. We also had the lobster pasta which was good. The service was fine, though nothing special even though the restaurant was not very busy. I would definitely come back for the food alone!

It was a nice day so we sat outside and had no trouble getting attention from our server, even though we were the only ones out there. Now the prices for everything are high. That part I did not like. But the seafood pasta was really good. I would come back and try more things

It's a basement bar with a bit of a dive vibe, but it's hard to ignore the nautical, blue crab theme throughout. Turns out that one of the owners is a Marylander, which is cool to see reflected in the decor in a place in dc, even though it is next door. They have a happy hour and they have a great variety of drinks in general. It's bring-your-own-food (BYOF) and there are a bunch of delicious looking Asian spots nearby, including upstairs. It didn't start getting crowded until closer to 10, which, as I said, is surprising for this part of town to me. Everywhere in Chinatown is not going to be packed and busy, and this place is here to remind you of that. Stop by if you're looking for a more chill vibe. Staff are pretty cool.

For $45 per person, the all-you-can-eat experience feels like a really solid deal considering how many protein options and side dishes you get. They start you off with a variety of banchan (side dishes), including a salad with this super tasty dressing that had the perfect little spicy kick. For the BBQ, we kicked things off with the spicy bulgogi and butter garlic shrimp, while the others tried the pork belly (I don't eat pork). Later we ordered the steak, spicy brisket, and grilled squid, which were all delicious. The spicy brisket especially was a standout for me. The guys also ordered two rounds of fried dumplings that looked amazing, but since they contain pork, I had to sit those out. I'd love to see Chadol add a veggie dumpling option to the menu! As for the sides, the kimchi and cold glass noodles were both hits at our table, and of course we all added white rice. The "mashed potatoes" though? Definitely more like potato salad and unfortunately very bland. On the other hand, the cheese corn costs extra but is 1000% worth adding. For drinks, the guys enjoyed the Woody Old Fashioned while I had a mezcal margarita-style cocktail that was smoky and refreshing. We also ordered one of the chicken options but never received it and eventually just gave up on it. One of the coolest parts of the experience is the ordering system. Most meats are ordered directly from a machine at your table, and the food comes out quickly on this conveyor belt-style setup which was honestly so fun. Drinks and side dishes are ordered through the servers. The atmosphere was lively and energetic without feeling overwhelming. The restaurant is actually much larger inside than I expected, with a modern setup that works well for smaller groups. That said, I didn't really notice tables for larger parties, so I'm not sure how they accommodate groups bigger than 6 people. Service started off a little rough because our server wasn't very attentive, but after I called it out, he definitely stepped it up and things improved. Overall, Chadol was a really good experience and absolutely worth the price. The 1.5-hour seating limit makes sense too, both to keep things moving and give others a chance to enjoy the experience. I'd definitely go back!
