The patty melt at Silver Diner is delicious and can be customized with a turkey or chicken burger. The rye bread and caramelized onions are perfectly paired together. As per usual, the service was great!

Great service! We came here late at night ready for some food and were very happy with the selection! Tons of great food options from breakfast to steak to seafood and all decently priced for the area. Lots of good drink and ice cream options too. We really enjoyed the caramel French toast

Great place for a proper breakfast and right across the street from Nationals stadium! The decor is classic diner with chrome and upholstered booths. The avocado toast featured truly fresh cut avocado topping, surprising because you might expect an operation this slick to have a shipped-in avocado drizzle in a tube. But not here - everything's freshly made and they even have gluten-free pancakes. The service was super fast - Karen took our order and seconds later it was with the kitchen staff. It's tops if you're crunched for time and staying in Navy Yard!

Great Silver Diner location. Many vegan options on the menu, including milkshakes. The vegan eggs Benedict is always my favorite (and my nonvegan colleague agreed it was yummy!). We sat outside and had good service (albeit probably slower than if we had eaten inside). The location is as close as you can get to the ballpark so it was fun to watch everyone parade in for this evening's game. Inside has cool vintage diner vibes.

My family & I came here for lunch. Our server Katy was professional and pleasant. The deco style place was nostalgic. The food tasted good. The cost was a bit pricey, but we would go again.

I met a friend for a breakfast before a soccer game and it wasn't too packed around 9am on a Saturday. The quinoa and coconut pancakes aren't your standard diner pancakes but they're very tasty and have a unique texture due to the quinoa and coconut in the batter. The pancakes include of course quinoa and coconut and also blue berries pecans, grilled banana and strawberries. It's a good portion and they're filling without leaving you in a sugar coma. They also come with a fruit cup which goes well with the pancakes. Service was fast and friendly here. Add an Irish coffee and you've got yourself a breakfast that's worth a try before a soccer game. I enjoyed my meal here and will come back.

We hit Silver Diner post baseball game to eat and kill a bit of time for the postgame crowd to clear out! We got seated right away and our server was attentive. I had a cookies and cream milkshake, which was a generous portion. I enjoyed the caesar (also a big portion!) and my parents liked their burgers. The menu is pretty expansive and gives a kinda cheesecake factory/TGI fridays feel, definitely chain-y. However I love a diner so would definitely come back and try brunch!

Great food service and ambiance. The meatloaf was so tender. You won't be disappointed. Great portions too.

The eggs looked nice but they weren't the best, The fried steak was the best thing I've ever eaten ever, and the milkshake was alright. Service was excellent. And the restaurant was pretty to look at.

The Lumberjack Breakfast leaves you wanting more. It's your classic diner meal with pancakes, eggs, potatoes and meat, but by the end, I wanted more -- a testament to both the quality and portion size. Every bite was fantastic, but I wish the pancakes were larger and there was a little more of everything. Other than the portion size, everything else, from the service to the ambiance to the variety on the menu, was great.

One of my favorite places to eat in the DMV. This location is nice and new and across the Washington Nationals Ball park so a really cool vibe. Service was absolutely fantastic, quick and friendly. The upstairs area was really nice and outdoor seating was available as well. Food was hot , fresh and large portions. I am stuffed !

    "Au Jus"

I have to say that this definitely could've been a better experience. I visited with a friend. We both ordered the mimosa flight. I selected 2 tropical, mango, and watermelon cucumber. - The tropical mimosa was not what either of us expected. I twas thick and full of mint shreds. The combination made it difficult to drink. It reminded us of a bloody mary, in a way. -The mango was decent. -The watermelon cucumber was okay. I ordered the crabcake melt that came with a lobster jus and fries. The crab cake was very herbaceous. It was borderline too much. It didn't leave much for it to taste like crab. When the plate came out, the sandwich was cold. Mind you, there were only 5 guests in the restaurant, including myself and my friend. In addition to the sandwich being cold, the lobster "jus" was not good at all. It had obviously been sitting for a minute because it developed a film on top. When I brought it to the attention of the waiter, he took my plate. We watched him walk my plate behind the counter and put the bowl of sauce into the microwave. Ew. When he returned, we asked if I could receive a new bowl reheated properly, as opposed to him reheating that bowl. He advised us that they make the sauce in the morning and just microwave it anyway. Then my friend's fried egg was like rubber. I wonder if that was reheated as well. I was like yeaaaa I guess it is a diner. Maybe just stick to the typical breakfast foods here.

With white walls, natural wood-grain tables and countertops, Toastique's design radiates minimalist, urban style while remaining inviting. Any time I have been there, the wait times have been stress-free, and the queues move quickly. Food-wise, you can't go wrong with their avocado toast with smoked salmon. With a generous portion of smoked salmon on top of avocado mash, on perfectly toasted sourdough bread, creating a place of tremendous well-being. The cucumbers, marinated tomatoes, red onion, capers, and a sprinkle of microgreens make for a fully satisfying meal without feeling like you are overdoing it with your life choices. Drink-wise, I always go for cold brew and the cold brew never lets me down there. Last time, they had a peanut-butter cold brew and a black cherry one, both of which were magical. This Toastique delivers every time.

We hoped to find a place that offered decaf coffee since it was late in the day, but really wanted something warm since it was a bit chilly outside. Unfortunately, this location of Toastique does not offer decaf - they only have a single hopper for their coffee, so it is not an offering. We were going to find another place, however, they said how about a hot chocolate or a tea. My friend is vegan and inquired if their hot cocoa was vegan, as most places have dairy in the chocolate. The cashier went to look at the chocolate syrup and also had another person look at it to verify it's vegan. My friend ordered a hot chocolate with oat milk. Even though it was busy, we only waited about 5 minutes for her drink. We appreciated the effort to double check it was vegan, though I do wish they had decaf options.

This was one of the most unique shakshukas I'd ever had... It literally tasted like a curry dish you might get at your local Indian restaurant, with a bit of a brunch flair to it. The curry itself had a wee bit of spice and was a bit sweet - but that could have been from the sweet potatoes. The chicken was served in a bowl on the side, which felt a bit... odd...
